"All you do is stand at a choke point and fire at the opponents while One Autumn Leaf fights!"

Su Mucheng had never been bothered by such sentiments, even if it came from Ye Xiu's replacement captain. She knew Wu Xuefeng took worse. She had recognition for her skills, event if said recognition pales before that of the battle god.

"You and Sun Xiang have been very in-cohesive lately. Due you believe these are growing pains like Tao Xuan said, or are you just not able to keep up with his style?"

Placing on a polite smile, she replied, "Playing with Sun Xiang is a large adjustment from playing with Ye Qiu. With this being only our third game, it is expected we see challenges in team work. In the entire team is doing their best."

"You are the Glory Pro Alliance's number 1 launcher, but lately, EE fans have been doubting your contributions to the team. What do you have to say?"

Su Mucheng paused, "As a launcher, I have never really been the spotlight player. Yet, it is often hidden heroes like Wu Xuefeng who help bring the team to championships. It is but a matter of bring their potential out." Leaving it at that, Su Mucheng left the stage. They had played Void Walk today, and before today, she had never realized how much she missed being with her best partner in Glory. The team round had dropped down to just Sun Xiang and her against four members of Void Walk. Su Mucheng had tried to stop Sun Xiang, but he had charged ahead with Dragon Breaks the Ranks at the opponent either way, asking for cover fire. Void Walk's assasin wasn't very keen on letting that happen. Su Mucheng could only drop Li Xun's assasins health by half before crumpling. One Autumn Leaf fell shortly after.

Back in season 6, this had happened before, but the results were reversed. Once more it had been Dancing Rain and One Autumn Leave together against four of Void Walk. Back then, Ye Xiu hadn't charged. Void Walk had initiated with their assassin, supported by the opposing double ghost blades. Su Mucheng remembered that day clearly. In an astounding burst of APM and rapid wrist movements, Ye Xiu, who was on the opposite side of the assassin coming and Dancing Rain, had swept here onto his back used Dragon Soars the Sky and Dragon Raising its Head while Dancing Rain had taken that opportunity to blast the already low health Crying Devil to pieces. Li Xuan, having been casting a skill, didn't get chance to dodge before Crying Devil was blown up. Using Dragon Breaks the Ranks, One Autumn Leaf engaged and stalled the remaining Paladin and Ghost Blade as Su Mucheng had dancing rain aerial fire her way atop a building and set up Mounted Gun. There was little for the opponent to do as Heat-Seeking Missiles were rained down. After all, their Paladin was slow and could not run away fast enough. A ghost blade stands no chance without its team either.

Sure, Su Mucheng often had just been Ye Xiu's guardian angel, raining bullets from above, but it could never have happened without Ye Xiu. No matter how simple something may be, Su Mucheng and Ye Xiu were best partners for a reason. They brought the best in each other, turning seemingly simple synergies into a seemingly perfect, unbreakable duo.

After the news about Su Mucheng not renewing her contract with Excellent Era came out, a reporter had asked, "You have chosen to leave Excellent Era, a team that you have played for since the start of your career, and yet, further reinforced by recent events, this team has not been what kept you here in Glory. I am sure everyone is wondering, why are you leaving now, and what joy has kept you here?"

Now, with this being her last season with Excellent Era, Su Mucheng didn't need to worry about here answer anymore. "I stayed, because all I ever wanted was to stand by Ye Xiu's side, to be his guardian angel. We are best partners, even if our teamwork seems as simple as 1, 2, 3, 4."
