Chapter One - Resanimation

Dr. Victor Frankenstein looked at the young woman's corpse that lay on the steel bench in front of him. He could barely recognize the girl who until a few days ago filled that house with her joy and spontaneity. The fall from the cliff had greatly mutilated her body, leaving many of her bones and muscles exposed. It would be a complicated reconstruction job.

With his restless mind and extraordinary surgical skills, Victor rose to the challenge before him. He knew he was about to embark once again into unfamiliar territory even for someone as familiar with the limits of science as he was. However, he also knew that he had already managed to perform the miracle once and was sure he would do it again.

With meticulous care, he began to examine every wound, every broken bone, every torn muscle. His skilled fingers moved deftly, while his mind worked furiously to formulate a plan. He needed to find a way to rebuild not only the young woman's physical body, but also restore the life that once pulsed within her.

Hours passed, and the laboratory was enveloped in an aura of intense concentration. Dr. Frankenstein was immersed in his work, completely absorbed by the monumental task before him. He reached for complex instruments, navigated ancient books and meticulously kept notes, seeking a solution to what seemed impossible.

Finally, after a series of painstaking experiments and endless hours of tireless work, the doctor stepped back, observing his creation. The young woman's body lay before him, now almost restored to its former form, each limb reconstructed with precision and perfection. But something crucial was missing: the spark of life.

Determined, the doctor took the complex machine, powered by electricity and visionary thought, to the bench where the young woman's inert body was. With a mix of hope and apprehension, Victor Frankenstein injected the regenerative enzymes and hormones he had developed for his experiments into her body and carefully positioned the electrodes over the woman's body. Then, taking a deep breath and with a firm movement, he activated the controls and electricity began to buzz through the air and hundreds of volts began to pass through the body that was tied to the metal bench, making it shudder and for a few moments even glow. Exactly thirty seconds later, the doctor pushed the lever, turning off the voltage and everything became silent again.

For a moment, everything seemed to stop and Dr. Frankenstein's heart hammered in his chest in anticipation. The body, however, remained inert.

- I failed! – he said with anger and frustration – Everything was useless...

Then, a soft gasp filled the room and moments later the young woman's eyes opened, shining with an unsettling light. Her gaze roamed the room with intense curiosity, taking in every detail.

Victor Frankenstein looked at his new creation with a mixture of admiration and apprehension. Again, he had achieved the impossible, bringing life out of death. But now, faced with this monumental achievement, he wondered if he had gone too far, once again defying nature's most sacred limits.
