Very much inspired by Fakers,a Pernico book which,(very annoyingly) ends in a lemon.

Reyna sighed,glancing at her phone. Thalia had promised to text her. They had to fake being in a relationship when Thalia had been being harassed. Sure,Thalia was tough,but Reyna had stepped in without thinking and blurted out that they were dating. Ha. Thalia told Reyna afterwards that she was about to pull her knife on him.

It had worked,since Thalia was a lesbian,but...

Reyna was straight,and not quite over Percy or Jason. She might not be able to be comfortable enough to fake it well.

She sighed.

Hey,you availble to hang? You said we needed to talk out ideas,so...

Sure I do need to hang out with my friends more,and now you're technically more than a friend,if you know what I mean.

You're a bitch but i'll let it slide,see ya at your place in ten?

Thalia opened the door,and Reyna walked in,her brown hair in a braid as always. It had always looked kinda hot to Thalia,but she decided it was best not to say anything.

Reyna sighed. "Hi. So I suppose we have to actually do this and set up a system to make it believable?"

Thalia nodded,feeling light heat creep under her cheeks as she led Reyna to her room and sat down on her bed. "So...we need to set up a system to tell each other things. We'll have to be holding hands all the time,so one squeeze if we need to get out of somewhere,two squeezes if we need to make an excuse for that specific person to leave,three squeezes if we need to talk in private about an idea to make it more believable," At this,Reyna nodded,her pretty brown eyes glinting with determination. "So,we need to be prepared for everything. We need to kiss each other on the cheeks,borrow some of each other's clothes,walk each other to classes,et cetera."

At the last part,Thalia smirked a bit. "I've dated a girl before so I know how to act because it's always uncomfortable to some degree when people know,or you just started dating. We have to act how we would act around someone we're attracted to."

Reyna nodded,and said, "Okay,I know how to fake that pretty easy." For some reason,Thalia's ice blue eyed looked enticing to Reyna at the moment,and her heart beat a little faster.

"And,so this part would be more awkward for you than me,Reyna. People are probably going to call us out,the fuckers,and say our relationship is fake. If they do,we have to be prepared to kiss. A peck on the lips would be good enough usually,but the girls here are brutal. We need to, A: Be ready to actually kiss,or B: Figure out how to fake it."

Reyna blushed. "Okay,how the fuck do people fake making out,however you do it sounds more awkward than actually kissing a girl."

Thalia shrugged. "I mean,I've fake-kissed a guy before." Reyna looked at Thalia confused,and Thalia gave her an 'I don't want to talk about it' look,and she nodded. "Also,how would we 'be ready' for them demanding that we kiss to prove we're in a relationship?"

"Ah...well,we would need to occasionally peck each other on the lips when we're going into classes,when we're alone,et cetera."

At this,Reyna felt herself blushing. "O..kay." She pulled off her wool turtleneck,and said, "Here. You said we have to be seen wearing each other's clothes? Now hand over yours." Thalia awkwardly took the sweater,and when their hands touched,Reyna swore she felt an electric charge go through her entire body. Thalia took off her black leather jacket,to reveal her dark blue death to barbie t-shirt,which Reyna loved.

Reyna took the black leather jacket and slid it over her shoulders. It smelled like Thalia. At this,she smiled a bit,not being quite sure why. Thalia's ice-blue eyes were burned into the back of her mind at the moment,then she realized. "Uh...if we have to go to school,doesn't that mean..."

"Yeah...oh."

"So,do we...or...?"

Thalia shrugged,and Reyna's heart skipped a beat at how casual she was about this,as Thalia said, "Yeah,I guess."

Reyna awkwardly kissed Thalia on the lips,and drew back quickly,blushing. She swore her lips were tingling,though Thalia had kissed her back softly,she felt like her entire body had been electrocuted.

"Huh. Well I guess just holding hands'll be less awkward than I thought." said Thalia,and Reyna nodded in agreement. "Holding hands doesn't really mean anything,we just have to make it look like it does."

At this,Thalia felt herself smirk a bit. "Well,it's a sign of companionship,which,at the very least,we need to convince people of. Oh. Also,I haven't put your sweater on yet"

She slipped the wool turtleneck on. It was soft and warm,and smelled like Reyna. Reyna's brown eyes flitted between her and Thalia,when Reyna said, "Huh. We look different,don't we?"

Thalia smiled. "Yeah."

Reyna smiled back at Thalia,and said, "Uh,should I go soon,or stay? It's about when you have lunch,right?"

"Yeah,but my parents are out of the house,only Alec,my younger sibling is here. Just so you know,Alec is a they,not a she or he."

Reyna nodded. "I don't really care that much,because,well,people are just human in my eyes,gender is more like a fun fact about them." At this,Thalia's heart beat more than a little faster.

Dear god,I think I like this girl.

She smiled. "Yeah...There aren't really many people who respect them,and I wish there were."

Reyna shifted her braid,fidgeting with it. Thalia's smile was actually...really...cute... "So,uh...should we have lunch now,or...?" Thalia nodded,and said, "You wanna go to the kitchen or stay here?"

"Uh...the kitchen?"

Thalia nodded,standing up,and said, "Just a tip,Alec is gonna be real annoying." Reyna smiled at that,and Thalia found it slightly infectious as they walked into the kitchen.

Thalia had somehow managed to cook a decent two eggs for them without burning the house down,and she would never admit this to Reyna,but she was very proud of that. She took the eggs,put them on plates,and went to the table where Reyna was sitting,wearing Thalia's black leather jacket. That shouldn't have given her butterflies as she sat at the table next to Reyna,but it did. Thalia was wearing Reyna's sweater.

"Ah,so you managed not to burn it? I thought you said you weren't good at cooking?"

"What am I supposed to do,stand around and look pretty?"

Reyna laughed a bit,and said, "Ah,that fate comes to the best of us."
Thalia smirked. "Maybe you,but not me."

At this,Reyna felt herself blushing a bit,but picked up her glass of water and drank from it,when Thalia quietly said, "Oh my god,I just remembered that we're in a fake relationship."

Reyna,on the other hand,had water spewing out of her nose,and she spluttered, "Don't- remind me. I've never even been in an actual relationship,nevermind a fake one."

"Really? You're almost seventeen."

"Yes,you're almost eighteen,and have only been in one,so you're not one to talk much."

Thalia smirked. "Well,that's because I mostly wasn't interested."

At this,Reyna laughed a bit,then,her expression becoming slightly concerned,mumbled, "Uh,how are we faking this again? Just a quick review."

"Hold hands. Show up in each other's sweaters. Cheek kisses. Walk to classes and school together. Mentally prepared for people calling us out."

"Ah...how are we supposed to..oh."

Thalia shrugged one shoulder and started eating her egg,then teasingly said, "Oh,I haven't kissed you on the cheek yet. Man,am I a terrible girlfriend or what?" and kissed Reyna on the cheek,then resumed eating.

Wha-? What the hell is Thalia even doing?! Reyna thought,unsucessfully fighting away a blush,when a kid,who looked about 13 burst in,and looked her up and down,before saying to Thalia, "Finally got a decent girlfriend,huh?"

Thalia's only response was, "Shut up,Alec."

"Awww,is your girlfriend blushing...?" They said teasingly,and Reyna took a deep breath,and said, "Unless you want me to cave your skull in,kid,you'll stop talking."
