A\N: My 19th Fluff and comfort oneshot. This will be a long (ish) comfort oneshot between Cary and Alicia. I'm writing more on this book recently because my writers block is back full force and it's pissing me the fuck off! I published another Willicia oneshot last night called History repeats itself, check it out, Angels.

Anyway this is a fluffy and comforting piece.

"WILL, NO!"

Cary is awoken from his alcohol infused slumber by his partners screaming that fills the entire apartment.

"WILL! NO!" Alicia screams, these screams will never leave his head.

"WILL! HOLD ON, PLEASE!" Cary gets off the couch and runs into his partners bedroom, flipping on the light on her nightstand as he kneels down beside her bed where his partner is thrashing in her bed, sweating crawling her face, mixing with the tears rolling down her face as she screams for their dead boss/ love.

"Alicia, wake up, it's okay, it's just a nightmare, wake up." Cary says, shaking her shoulder, trying his best to block out her screams for Will Gardner.

Suddenly his friend and partner shoots up in bed, Will's name spilling from her mouth before clamping a hand over it and starts to sob. The young lawyer sits on her bed and hugs her hard, rubbing a hand up and down her back as she cries.

God, he hates this: her hates that his partner has to witness the love of her life die right in front of her every night in her dreams. This is worst nightmare he's witnessed her have since Will's murder nearly a year ago, but he know, thanks to Zach and Grace, that this recent nightmare is tame compared to the others she had when he first died.

"I... I was too late." Alicia sobs into her young partners shoulder. "I heard the shot, ran to him but by the time I reached him, he was already dead. He's always dead. I didn't save him, Cary, I never save him." She says brokenly.

These nightmares are taking a toll on her, so much so that Zach, Grace, Peter, Cary, Diane, Finn and even David Lee are trying to convince her to talk to a grief counsellor after seeing her looking like death warmed over, to no avail, but after this latest one, she's seriously considering seeing one.

She'll do anything to stop these nightmares that she's being plagued with about Will's death.

"Alicia, talk to me. Please." Cary begs as he pulls back slightly. Alicia sniffles as she breaks the hug and leans back against the headboard, looking anywhere but her friend.

"I thought they'd go away after a while but they've gotten worse and I just want them to stop, but I also don't want them to stop because it's the only time I can see him, see his smile, see his eyes that don't have any hate in them whenever he looks at me. These nightmares are the only time I can hear his voice and it not being cold, he's the boy I fell in love with at Georgetown. It's the only time I say 'I love you' to him and hear him say it back. While it was implied that he loved me, he never actually said he loved me but in these nightmares he says it every time and for a second, just a second, I believe I'm not in a nightmare, but an amazing dream where he either survived or that it was him that I married instead of Peter." Alicia says sadly. Cary sighs to himself before he sits beside her and wraps an arm around her shoulder, allowing her to be the broken one for once.

"Diane told me that he loved me but how could he have loved me? After everything I did to him? I hurt him over and over again, and he still loved me?!" She questions with a humourless laugh. Cary tightens his arm around her shoulder.

"He did love you, Alicia, Will wouldn't lie about his love for you, or you. He might've been a dick sometimes but the one thing he wasn't was a liar, not when it came to you. So if he implied it or if Diane told you he, or if he told it to you in a nightmare, Will did love you, so please don;'t say he didn't love you because he did, we all knew he did. If me, Diane, Kalinda, Robyn, David, Julius, the fourth years, the rest of the firm, the clients, the other lawyers we all pissed off, Eli, your mother, Own, Zach, Grace and even Peter saw and knew that Will loved you then you better start believing that he did. William Paul Gardner loved you and only you." Cary says firmly. Alicia feels the tears fall down her face but makes no effort to wipe them away. She needs to cry over the fact that everyone in her life was right: Will Gardner did love her.

Alicia smiles at Cary as she falls asleep on his shoulder. She tried to fight the sleep that was quickly swirling around her but decided she wanted to see him, hold him, see a smile appear on his face, to see his eyes light up when he sees her, tell him she loves her, hear him say it back, one last time.

Dream:

She's using his legs as a pillow for her head as she holds a book above her. It's summer, a hot and humid, summer in Chicago and they've decided to play hooky from work seeing as they're not in court until Monday, and Diane or Cary would call them if a situation arose. that demanded their presence at the office.

Will's fingers are buried in her hair.

"Ugh, it's so damn hot." Will whines. She giggles at her husband as she lowers her book to look at him.

"Well it is summer, Mr Gardner." She quips with a smile as her husband pecks her lips gently.

"So it is, Mrs Gardner." Will replies.

"Will?" She says his name quietly after a few minutes of silence between her and her husband.

"Hmmm." He answers. Alicia sits up, placing her book beside her on the grass and pulls her husband in for a hug. Will hugs her back without question.

"I'll love you forever." Alicia says with a sob as tears stream down her face and land on his shoulder.

"I'm okay with that." Her husband states, she can hear the smile he has on his face. Will pulls back slightly and wipes away the tears still falling down her face.

"Hey, hey, why the tears, Lissy?" Her husband asks. It's the only nickname he and her father called her and it's been a while since she's heard her husband call her it.

"Nothing, I'm fine." She lies, Will narrows his eyes, not believing her obvious lie.

"Tell me." Will requests softly. Alicia only kisses him deeply, winding her arms around his neck and leaning to him, causing him to fall back down onto the grass, his wife on top of him, still kissing him like she's hungry for his lips.

She's breathless when she begrudgingly pulls away from his lips for air. Alicia just sighs and rests her head on his chest, over his beating heart.

"I love you, William Paul Gardner." She whispers, Will chuckles as his fingers are buried in her hair again, running through her hair.

"I love you too, Alicia Gardner, now until my last breath on this Earth." Will's voice is soft and gentle as he kisses her messy pony tailed hair before removing his hand from her hair and wraps both arms around her.

She smiles as she closes her eyes in bliss. This is all she's ever wanted: to be Will Gardner's wife and after 20 years, dozens of bad timings, a war between the two of them, she finally became Mrs Alicia Gardner.

And she wouldn't change how it happened. Not in a million years because she'll love him forever.

A\N: This one has been in my drafts for at least a week and a half and took a different direction that I was originally hoping but I liked how it all turned out, especially the Cary/Alicia moment in her bedroom and her dream about being Will's wife.

I'm currently working on 2 new Willicia oneshots, and about r=three uploaded Willicia stories that need updating right about and 2 Scandal ones as well as family and boyfriend stuff and not to mention writers block is still kicking me in the arse.

I hope you Angels enjoy this one.
