Luna Loud: Prey of An Angry Spirit
It all started as another regular band practice for the famous neighborhood band, the Moon Goats, located in the Loud family's garage. Expect one of their band members, Sam Sharp away on a family vacation to Hawaii. But that didn't stop the rest of the band: Luna, Sully, and Mazzy from practicing some new songs that Sam and Luna wrote together.
Sully: "These songs are reaching their peak Luna."
Mazzy: "I know, right?! And once Sam gets back they'll be our best songs this year."
Luna: "I wonder if our manager got us any new gigs yet."
Speaking of which, the Moon Goats band manager, Luna's little brother, Lincoln, comes into the garage. While talking to someone on the phone.
Lincoln: "This is incredible! And the whole resort restaurant will be full of gusts?" (Hears the answer): "The band's going to be stoked!"
Luna puts her guitar down in its case and walks over to him.
Luna: "Hey little br…I mean manager. Sounds like you're booking us some sick gig."
After saying goodbye to the client and hanging up his phone, Lincoln turns to the band with a huge smile.
Lincoln: "Pack your instruments and sunscreen guys. Because you're going to be joining Sam at the Lula Dance Resort!"
The band members can't believe what they're hearing…
Mazzy: "Hawaii?!"
Sully: "Are you serious?!"
Lincoln: "The manager at the resort desperately needs a band to play for the dinner shows this week. So, Sam recommended the Moon Goats to him."
Luna: "So, not only do we get to play in an entirely different state. But we get to stay at a luxury resort…" (Hearts start to form in her eyes): "With Sam!?"
Lincoln (Playing it cool): "All expenses paid sister."
And so, after getting permission from their families and packing their bags, the Moon Goats flew all the way to Hawaii, where they meet up with Sam that night at the Lula Dance Resort restaurant.
Luna (Has an arm around Sam): "I can't believe this is happening!"
Sam: "You better believe it Lunes! Cause we're here for the rest of the week."
Mazzy: "Relaxing in the rays of the sun."
Sully: "Swimming with the fishes."
Sam (Giving Luna a sly smile dancing): "Hula dancing…"
Luna (Looks away, while blushing): "And last but not all…"
The Moon Goats: "Playing Music!"
But as the band started to set up their instruments, Luna couldn't help but notice the pictures on the surrounding walls are all the same picture of a statue with a golden grass crown placed on its head and two golden ears on each ear. Then she notices that most people in the room, including the resort staff are wearing jewelry with the exact same picture on them.
Luna (Turns to her girlfriend): "Hey Sam, what's the deal with these statue pictures?"
Sam (Turns to her): "Not really sure. Some of the workers here told me it's to honor the spirit of a tribe leader."
Sully: "Well, I hope the chief appreciates a good song when he hears one."
And so, the performance of music began. But what the band didn't know…they were being watched. And I don't mean the people sitting at the tables enjoying themselves. We then skip to later that evening in Luna's resort sweet, where she is awoken by…
Luna (Rubs her tired eyes): "Music?"
She then gets out of bed and follows the music to an open window facing the beach. Where she sees far away in the distance a glowing light and what she can make out to be dancing shadows.
Luna (With a raised brow): "Huh?"
After getting dressed and walking along the beach for about ten to fifteen minutes, the young rocker now finds herself watching from behind a palm tree, a native Hawaiian tribe dancing around a bomb fire to the beat of bongo drums and ukeleles. Right there and then Luna falls in love with this music… in fact! She started to write the music notes down on a piece of paper that she got from her shorts pocket. All while bopping to the rhythm herself.
Luna (With a smile): "Hmmm…"
Suddenly the music stopped, and out of nowhere a big beefy hand comes and grabs the paper right out of Luna's.
Luna (Looks up): "Hey!" (Goose into complete shock): "Ummm…" (With a nervous smile): "Hi…"
Right in front of the rocker is the owner of the hand, who took the paper from her. Not only that they are buff, but they are also tall and wearing a mask that looks like the head of the statue she saw earlier. While the rest of the tribe is surrounding them.
Masked Figure: "Who are you?"
Luna (Shivers in fear): "Luna Loud...Sir."
The masked figure takes off their helmet to reveal themselves to be a woman. This is Ailani, the chief of the tribe.
Luna: "Oh! I mean mam!"
Ailani (Looks down at the paper): "Rgghh!"
With a look of disgust, Ailani rips the paper into a million pieces much to Luna's frustration.
Luna: "Hey! That wasn't cool dude."
Ailani: "No, what isn't cool is you writing down the notes to this sacred song!"
Luna: "Come on dude." (With a smile): "I was only writing down the notes for reference. I might want to write a song like that for my band."
Ailani: "You must understand young one. That this song belongs only to one person: Akamai Alika Aloha. Not only the first chief of this tribe. But the kindest and most righteous person this world has ever seen. When he passed this song was written to honor his spirit. And the only ones who can play this song are the descendants of the Lula tribe." (Narrows her eyes): "If this song, even just a few notes, is stolen…well that unfortunate sole will be the prey of Akamai Alika Aloha's angered spirit. You understand?"
Luna (With a raised brow): "Wait…"
Ailani (Gets into the Rocker's face): "UNDERSTAND?!"
Luna (With wide eyes): "YES MAM!"
Ailani: "Now…go!"
Ailani then pushes Luna down to the ground. As the music starts up again and the tribe dances like crazy. The following morning Luna and Sam are taking a dip in the hot tub, while the former is telling the latter what happened to her that night.
Luna: "I'm telling you, Sam. Once we get back to Royal Woods, I'm going to write a whole song based on the experience we had here."
Sam (With a worried look): "But you're not going to use the beat of that song you heard last night, right? Rember what the Tribe Chief told you"
Luna (With a chilled smile): Sam…relax! I'm not stealing that spirit dude's song. I'm just going to write a song inspired by his."
Sam: "But doesn't that include using notes from the tribe song?"
Luna (Plants a kiss on Sam's cheek): "It's going to be fine love. Just leave the writing of this song to me. And focus on being your radical-cute self. Besides…" (Puts her hands behind her head and closes her eyes): "The Chief said that dude was a kind soul. And what would a kind soul do to someone, who only wants to honor his culture?"
As soon as she said this, all the water in the hot tub cooled down.
Sam: "Well…save us from being hard-boiled eggs for one. That water was getting too hot for me to be honest."
A week has passed, and the Moon Goats have returned to Royal Wood. And they are now having a concert at one of their usual places, the Burnt Bean. The first song of the night is the one Luna wrote during their stay in Hawaii much to Sam's concern.
Sam: "Are you sure this is such a good idea Lunes? This could backfire on us big."
Luna: "What could backfire?! We're only performing a new song."
Mazzy (Twirling one of her drumsticks around): "Are we going to play or what guys?"
Sully: "Yeah…" (Turning on his keyboard): "The crowd is not going to wait forever."
After giving her girlfriend a side eye, Luna singles her brother/manager to announce the band.
Lincoln (Speaks into a microphone): "Ladies, gentlemen, customers of the Burnt Bean, and all you music lovers here. Here they are, starting with their new tropical song." (Jumps off the stage): "The Lula Rock!"
After cheering and clapping from the audience, the band starts playing. However, after Luna performed the climax of the song, she can only hear one person…slowly applauding?
Luna (Looks up): "Huh?"
Much to her shock, the whole restaurant is empty. Even Lincoln is nowhere in sight. To make matters worse when she turn to check in on her band, they were gone too, leaving their instruments behind.
Luna: "Guys?" (Looks around): "Sam…Hello?"
?: "Hello…young Luna Loud!"
Luna (Turns around to see…): "Gasp!"
Right in front of the musician and much to her disbelief is the first leader of the Lula Tribe, Akamai Alika Aloha, in person. Standing tall looking down at Luna with a scowl.
Luna: "Hey…what's up."
Akamai (In a booming voice): "Luna Loud! For the disrespect you have shown for my tribe, you must face the ultimate punishment I can give you."
Luna: "Wait! I didn't steal your song." (Grabs a few pieces of sheet music): "Take a look for yourself."
In response, the Akamai takes the sheet music and looks it over.
Akamai: "I'm sorry young one, but you have used a majority of the notes from my tribe's song for your own."
Luna (Scratches her head nervously): "I guessed I did rush a bit when our week in Hawaii was coming to an end. But I didn't mean any harm!"
Akamai: "Never or less. If you mess with my tribe… YOU MESS WITH ME!"
The next thing Luna knew …her entire outfit is changed to one of a hula girl. Then her whole body started to dance all on its own.
Luna: "What…" (Tries to stop herself): "I can't stop dancing."
Akamai: "For the rest of your natural existence you'll do nothing…but only dance of the Lula Tribe."
Luna: "No! This can't be happening!"
But when she turned back to face Akamai again, he was gone. To make matters worse, the whole audience and the rest of the band were back …like they never left in the first place, all staring at her, totally confused about what she was even doing.
Sam (With a raised brow): "Luna…"
Luna: "No…no…NO!"
We then fade to black, getting ready to witness the nightmare of my very gifted sister, Lisa.
