Chapter 45

One day later…

"Siren records is under new management after CEO Zegran has decided to retire…"

Suiryu was at the agency the next day, reading the paper and saw the headline. He smirked to it all since he had his hand in this easily, but the fact that everything worked out within a 24 hour period is rather impressive. "Siren records? I never heard of them…" came out of Damian.

They were just taking a break from their model session. Suiryu smirked since Damian has no idea what went on in the background of it all. "They have been in business for a while, that studio wanted me and didn't want me all at the same time… I was rather flattered."

He snickered at his tone. "Let me guess, you got the talent, didn't like the look or attitude?"

"Good guess. How could you TelL?" Suiryu asked sarcastically.

Damian smirked to him. "Believe it or not, you got that look." He said bluntly. "You look like the kind of guy that 'I will cause shit' or 'I'll make shit happen' you could go either or. I rather keep on the side of you that would make shit happen."

Suiryu paused to this.

"Back up a moment. I'm the kind of guy that would cause shit or make shit happen?" he asked.

Damian snickered. "Let me explain. The 'I will cause shit,' means to me that you will make trouble, you will be at the nucleus of suffering for it has come from you. Those who dare to cross you to bring this upon themselves can and will fall as it is the will of your chaos…"

He froze.

"Rather blunt" he muttered.

"The 'I'll make shit happen' aspect of you… means you would part the heaven and earth to help someone you know and care about, you would pull a miracle out of your ass if need be. That's the aspect I like about you."

Once more, Suiryu didn't move an inch.

"Dude… We have modeled, what… 3 times together already… how the fuck did you get that out of the three times we worked together!?"

Damian snickered before leaning in and whispered. "D'angelo doesn't shut up about you"

Suiryu could take this one of two ways, but he didn't want to try to think of either one of them right now knowing what one of those ideas were… he didn't need that to fester in his head at this point.

"Anyway, moving on…" Suiryu said. "You do anything outside of modeling?"

Damian nodded. "I teach on the side, also… I dabbled in a few… less savory hobbies…"

"Oh?" Suiryu asked. "Care to tell?"

"I doubt you would believe me,"

"Try me,"

Damian hesitated but sighed. "Okay… I do bounty hunting on the side." He confessed. "Happy?"

This made him more fascinating. "So you hunt," Suiryu said with a grin. "Yeah, a good hunt does get the blood flowing…"

"Oh? Do you…"

"I hunt other prey" Suiryu explained and waved it off. But quickly realized he needed a cover. "Actually, I help a company called the 100 yen exterminators. I live in the boonies, and there's wild hogs…"

"I heard of those guys! Great business aspect, and I heard rumors that they trade with the villages too."

"Good ears, yeah. They give the villages the two largest hogs, any others. They trade for. Since they know money is tight in those regions and bartering is usually the main form of payment."

There was something about this guy.

Suiryu's mind was racing, his heart too oddly enough, it was as if he knew him… there was something familiar about Damian but… what was it?

"You two almost done with your break?"

He snapped out of it as D'angelo called.

"Yeah, ready when you are" Suiryu called back.

The more he was around him, the more Suiryu felt he knew Damian in some way or form. And yet, he can't figure it out… normally he can do so with ease instantly, but this… it is as if a metal wall was put before him, refusing to yield despite his attempts to find the truth.

By the end of it all, Suiryu sighed. He couldn't figure it out and Damian left first for the day. "Thank you for your time today, Suiryu!" he called.

Suiryu smiled and nodded back to him. As usual, he waited until he knew for certain that Damian was gone… a part of him believes that guy has wicked hearing.

"Something wrong darling?" D'angelo asked.

"I… feel like I know him from somewhere." He explained. "I just can't figure it out, or there is some sort of familiarity to him…"

This took D'angelo by surprise. "You have never had a feeling like that before. Normally you peg it instantly, don't you?"

Suiryu nodded to this. "Problem is… is this a memory of mine… or is this from Sukuna… or even Ryujin?" he muttered.

"Oh right… different influences… How does he make you feel?" D'angelo questioned. "If anything, go by the emotion of it. You're pleased to see him, so I tend to think this isn't Sukuna's mind at work here…"

"True… so… Ryujin? SHIT that dragon was old too!"

The agency burst out laughing to it all. But it was true, perhaps Damian reminded him from someone in Ryujin's memories? Who can say at this point? "So, I see Bo has a new full time job?"

D'angelo burst with pride and joy on Bo. He is now helping at Siren studios next to the Queen who has taken over… who ironically goes by Queen. She has kept him on board since she was aware of his actions, what he was trying to do and he continues to assist her and the other sirens that were forced into contracts.

"What about Zegran?" Suiryu asked.

The room shuttered.

"Hon, one thing. If you mess with sirens, be prepared for the consequences…"
