"How is it that everyone in your family is gorgeous? I mean all the women, though your grandfather is pretty handsome," Marley mused mostly to herself, but when Quinn turns to her and shoots her an amused look, Marley lets out a laugh. "I have eyes."

"Should I be worried?" Quinn pressed, feeling a bit self conscious. She was wearing Charlie's alternate uniform and she could feel how loose it was. She really needed to start working out again.

Marley let out a small laugh, "I think you're the most attractive Fabray. And you look super hot in that uniform."

Quinn flushed, "Really? You don't think it fits Charlie better?"

"It certainly fits Charlie better," Kurt informed Quinn as he finished up with the alterations. He sniffed indignantly, even if he was secretly happy that he had been able to tag along. Mercedes was so jealous and he'd been welcomed onto the team. Charlie even recognized his name now, and talked to him mostly about the lack of spikes on her hero uniform, but he couldn't do it. Even if it hadn't gone well he had faith that Blaine, Santana and Charlie could pull something off.

"No one asked you Kurt," Marley snapped at him. "I think you look hotter in it," she admits, she reaches for Quinn's waist only to get her hand smacked by Kurt.

"You still have plenty of repairs to do, I need to finish this alteration, and you're making everyone uncomfortable with your public display of affection!" Kurt reminded her. The entire team was trying to look anywhere but at the two of them. Blaine was pacing in front of the backroom where the twins' grandmother and sister were working on Santana. He knew it was bad, but if they could just get Santana standing again they still had a chance of winning even if Charlie had to sit out.

Marley makes a face, it really was all hands on deck, but she couldn't help herself. Quinn was going to go out there and be a hero and she wanted to be encouraging. "Fine, I need to replace all the electrical components in Sam's gauntlets. They're completely fried." It would take some time, but it was a good thing that she had kept most of their gear in a Charlie proof container that she'd designed. It had been Charlie's idea, and it had made sense. It wouldn't take that long.

"I don't mind—" Sam offers.

"No I need to get it done, just—" Marley glanced back at Quinn, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Your room once we get back?"

Quinn grinned and nodded, she would just need to figure out how to get her mother off her back. Maybe she'd talk to Charlie, she had plenty of experience doing whatever it is she wanted. "I'll figure something out," she promises grinning as she looks up at the doorway where Miguel Lopez is pacing.

"We should be taking her to the hospital," Miguel muttered under his breath. He had no idea what was going on in that room, he just knew that he hadn't been allowed inside and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. What was he going to tell Maribel? What was he going to tell his mother? Santana was their only child and they had been hard on her lately, but her grades had slipped and he had been worried about her prospects. Now he was simply worried about his daughter. He hadn't managed to get a good look but it had looked bad, it had looked like a job for a very capable surgeon, and several months of physiotherapy and hoping and praying for the absolute best outcome.

"Miguel, I know Rose may appear to be a bit—cooky, but she is a very talented healer, one of the best. And Brittany has patched Charlie up a million times, there are no safer hands. Santana will be alright soon," Judy promised, wishing that she could text Frannie to see how things were going.

"I just don't—"

There's a sudden explosion as the door is blown off it's handles and flames lick out of the room that Santana had been in and Miguel immediately rushes in before anyone can stop him, he immediately starts to cough at the thick black smoke that is bellowing out the room. "Mija?"

Santana coughed loudly, she had freaked out the moment that she had woken up half expecting to be in a massive amount of pain, "Papi? Where the fuck am I?" The last thing she could remember was Lauren and she practically jumps off the makeshift stretcher she was on, and she half expects her leg to buckle as she remembers the pain, but she can't feel the pain. If anything she feels better than great.

Brittany tilted her head and made a face as she looked at the damage that Santana had caused, "Oops."

"Oops?" Santana blinks as she registers Britt's face, and her eyes widen well that suddenly made more sense. Her eyes widen as the implication hits her, "Britt you didn't—"

Brittany pointed to a shorter older woman with rather large pink hair, she was wearing a rather floral shirt, in fact everything she was wearing was very floral, with her rather large earrings. "Santana, this is our grandmother Rose. She's a Level 4 healer, she did some of her best work on you today."

"So this is my future—"

Brittany's hand shot out and she covered her grandmother's mouth. "They're not there yet."

"Mm?" Rose asked through Brittany's hand, raising an eyebrow.

"Do not, do you know how much effort I've put into this!" Brittany huffs at her grandmother. She looks over at Santana who is looking at the two of them like they were the crazy ones. "She's in a sex cult. Things can get a bit uncomfortable."

"It's a nudist colony. It's a very freeing experience," Rose sniffed. "I didn't take you for such a prude like your sister. I mean it makes sense, she's always been so incredibly corporate wanting to be a slave to capitalism."

Brittany rolled her eyes, her grandparents were wealthy, "Frannie—"

"Oh there is no hope for that one, I was talking about Charlie, she should have grown out of that phase by now," Rose waved her hand dismissively.

Santana blinked, unsure if this had just become an awkward family moment that she really wanted no part of when she felt arms wrapping around her tightly. "Papi?"

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine." Santana tried to push herself free. "Papi I'm—" Her stomach flips and she shoves her father back and lands on her ass.

Brittany recoils immediately. "Oh, I forgot to ask for a bucket. Quinn! Bucket!"

Quinn leans into the room, flicking her eyes towards Satnana who looks like she's about to heave and immediately creates an ice bucket in front of her and ducks back out of the room. "Gross."

Santana reaches her hand back and flips Quinn off as she empties the contents of her stomach into the ice bucket and coughs, as she's hit with another wave of nausea. She lets out a shaky breath and looks up at both Brittany and Rose and sits on the ground. "What's going on?" She pauses and looks at the door and spots Blaine, before noticing how everyone was exchanging looks. "Seriously what's going on and where's Charlie? I swear I'm not going to yell at her, I'm just going to smack her upside the head a bit. It'll be fine. Just hold her still for me."

Brittany hummed, she was only here to heal Santana not deal with their team. "Quinn, Blaine, she's good and she needs you to fill her in!"

~ O ~

Dani glanced over at Charlie from where she was seated, her ex-girlfriend hadn't once looked in her direction, and had rebuffed any attempts to talk to her. She flicks her attention back to Carmen Tibideaux, the coaches and the parents had been arguing over the punishment for the past two hours and she could see the disinterest on Charlie's face. She swallows and uses her ability, a small thin thread appears from her wrist and moves towards Charlie's hand. Before it can touch, Charlie reaches out her pinkie and presses down on the thread and without looking sends a rather painful blast of electricity, and she flinches.

"If everyone has said what they were going to say I've made my decision." Carmen interrupts the bickering rubbing at her temples.

"I haven't said anything."

Carmen pinched the bridge of her nose, "Charlotte. I understand that you may not like whatever my ruling is, but you don't actually have standing—"

"The commission and the Inter-high is set to make nearly three billion dollars in revenue, that's how anticipated the fight between me and the upstart is. There are people outside this arena who are selling fake and bootleg posters of our fight. Let's not even begin to discuss how much money is on the line with betting being what it is. The commission has marketed this fight, you've built it up. Charlie was crowned and you did that, and all this theater—but that's how you got your start isn't it?" Charlotte smirked at Carmen before turning to look at Charlie who looked completely nonplussed by her presence. "I hear that you're trying to back out."

Green eyes shift to Charlotte for a moment before Charlie, rests her head in her hand and simply ignores her.

Charlotte's brow shoots up at the complete disrespect and she takes a step towards the little shit, when she feels Sasha tugging her back. "Hey Charlie," she says in her usual tone and she watches as Charlie blinks and looks at her before flashing her a smile.

"Hey Sasha! Do I still have to wait till I'm 25? I'm legal in New York."Charlie asks. You could hear a pin drop as the room went silent and everyone turned to look at Charlie who seemed unperturbed by the fact that she'd attracted an audience.

"Seriously?" Dani snaps at Charlie, but is ignored.

Frannie snorted quietly, before snickering under her breath, as Charlotte Flair exploded in rage. She just begins to laugh harder.

Sasha Banks arches an eyebrow, she doesn't look away from Charlie's gaze and she flicks her eyes over to Dani for a moment before looking back to Charlie. "I don't find people who run away from their problems attractive, Charlie. So that's going to have to be a no from me."

Charlie was quiet for a moment and glanced over at Charlotte, "If I beat Charlotte, will you go on a date with me then?"

Artemis elbowed Frannie who only began to laugh even harder.

"Beat me? Do you think I'm on the same level as fucking Soldier Boy?" Charlotte said as the lights began to flicker in the room.

"You were right, the balls on this kid," Becky laughed.

Charlie flicked her eyes towards Becky, she eyes her for a moment, before turning her attention back to Sasha. "Well?"

Sasha sighs and shrugs, "Sure. If you can beat Charlotte and Becky I'll go out on a date with you. You're paying though and I have expensive tastes."

"What?" Charlotte snapped looking at Sasha. "You can't just—"

"If I have to go on a date with her then it's your fault," Sasha interrupts not taking her eyes off Charlie. "And if you lose?"

"If I lose?"

"What do I get?"

"My body?" Charlie offers with a pleased smile on her face.

Artemis stares at her granddaughter in utter shock as she loses both her husband and Frannie to a fit of laughter. "Firefly!"

Sasha let out a laugh, knowing that it was pissing both Becky and Charlotte off. "I'm going to pass on that. How about if you lose, you become my sidekick. Our sidekick, for the summer."

Charlie pauses for a moment before smirking, "Deal."

"Firefly!" Artemis snapped immediately.

Charlie flicked her eyes to her grandma for a moment, before turning back to Carmen. "So what's my punishment?"

"You will miss the rest of todays competition and tomorrow's. You will be allowed to attend the final day. If you wish to face Charlotte Flair, McKinley would have to win and you'd have to have the highest point total for that day. However if you lose control of your abilities again then you will be benched permanently, and there will be no fight against Charlotte."

"Now hold on—" Beiste began but Charlie held up her hand, stopping her.

"Fine." Charlie says with a shrug of her shoulders.

"McKinley has also lost 25% of their point total," Carmen adds as Charlotte turns to leave. This seems to catch her attention. "You destroyed a city Charlie, and we were taking points away for property damage and being a danger to others."

"Fine. The Titans are still going to win. Let's go, I need to go prep the team. We're not going to play nice anymore." Charlie said as she got up and walked past the 4 horsewomen. "Bye Sasha."

"Bye Charlie." Sasha waits until Charlie's gone and looks at Charlotte and Becky. "If you lose Bayley might actually murder you. So you know, don't fuck this up!" With that Sasha left, leaving the two of them.

~ O ~

"She did what?"

"Yeah, she basically shut everything down, it bought us time and allowed her to find someone to heal you. I can't believe that you're fine," Blaine said, glancing over at Rose who was talking to Brittany.

Santana bit her lip, that sounded excessive and she had to wonder if Charlie's reaction meant what she thought it meant then maybe—she immediately pushed the thoughts from her mind, now wasn't the time to figure it out. "Well this is mostly her fault, she should have kept her communications on. She doesn't get a pass, we told her numerous times to keep it open for situations like this."

"Technically that's my fault," Marley admits, flinching when Santana looks at her. "I forgot to add the bypass to Charlie's communication. It was on the list, but it got overlooked. The two of you were supposed to be able to switch Charlie's communicator on remotely. I just never got around to it. I don't think Charlie was fully aware that it wasn't available."

Santana stared at Marley before turning to Quinn, "So, I can't hit her?"

"I mean you're free to get in Charlie's face about this, it's not like I'm exactly thrilled that she's forcing me to participate," Quinn said flatly. Santana was Charlie's problem, and she wasn't going to help her twin when she hadn't exactly been supportive of her relationship with Marley.

Santana pointed to Marley, "Have you set it up?"

"Not yet—but we need to get everyone's support items back up," Marley informs Santana.

"We still haven't heard from Beiste or anyone for that matter," Blaine reminds her. "Doesn't help that all our phones are basically dead."

"Of course they are," Santana sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose as she tries to figure out what their next step should be. "Are we still in the lead?"

"We don't know," Kitty offers.

"Do we know anything?" Santana presses.

"No," Rachel admits.

"They should be back soon, it's been a couple of hours—" Blaine offers just as a portal opens up in the middle of the room and Charlie and Beiste step out. Charlie has an unreadable expression on her face, while Beiste didn't look happy and for a moment all of McKinley is quiet while they wait for the news.

"Do you want to tell them or should I?" Beiste asks Charlie who is about to shrug her shoulders when she spots Santana standing with the rest of the team. It's almost comical how red Charlie's face gets even as she looks away, she wasn't quite sure what Charlie's deal was but as of right now it wasn't any of her business. "We lost 25% of our point total for the damage, and it could have been a lot worse and Charlie has been benched till the final day of competition. A bus will be arriving soon to pick us up and to take us to the back up arena. It won't be nearly as impressive, but due to the events of today there won't be a team eliminated. They will let us know tomorrow about any changes that they need to make to the rules. So start packing up your stuff, the bus should be here in an hour. The continuation of this event will start after dinner."

Santana stared at Charlie who wasn't saying anything, "Wait, if Charlie's being punished then what's happening to Zizes and PVA?"

"We left, before we could find out. Look I know that feelings may be running hot right now, but we're not going to go after them. All eyes are going to be on you now that Charlie's benched, so we need to make sure you guys look good," Beiste informed them, watching as Charlie uses her abilities to open her locker and grab her duffel bag. "Quinn will be taking her spot, while we have time we're going to basically rework all our formations so that they work with Quinn."

"Wait if Charlie's benched—what about the fight with Charlotte?" Tina asked.

"Don't worry about it," Charlie says with a wave of her hand.

"Words that you've lost any right to say," Santana informs her. "Well?"

Charlie meets Santana's gaze for a moment, "McKinley has to come in first. I have to have the highest point total at the end of the day, is what they told me. They might be flexible on the latter, but the level of difficulty on the third day is going to increase. And there are things that I need to do. So, don't worry about it." Charlie forces a smile onto her face, "But on the plus side, you'll all get me in your ear telling you what to do."

Santana immediately turned to Marley, "Since this is mostly your fault, you're in charge of making sure that she's entertained and doesn't decide to stay on the mic and bother any of us."

Marley groaned, and looked at Quinn for backup. "I suggest a squirt bottle," Quinn suggested.

Charlie's eye twitched at that, "Dr. Lopez, Mom, Grandma, Britt, time to head out," Charlie says, turning to them, gesturing at the portal. She glances at Santana, "You're right, I'll be in the stands watching. Team is yours."

"That's not what I—" Before Santana can finish Charlie steps through the portal last after Judy makes her way through. She frowns, Charlie couldn't seem to meet her eyes, but she would just simply have to confront Charlie later. Maybe something happened that she couldn't talk about in front of everyone else. "Right. Quinn. What can you do exactly? Like you're obviously not like Charlie level strong right? But like you are capable of being a deterrent right?"

"You do know that my abilities are more powerful than Charlie's right?" Quinn pointed out.

"What I know is that you don't train like Charlie which means you don't have Charlie's level of control and even with Charlie's level of control—" Santana waves her hand in the air. "So I need to know that you're not going to kill anyone accidentally."

"I'm not going to kill someone accidentally," Quinn replies in a surly tone.

Santana turned to look at Blaine, "She's with you."

"With me?" Blaine blinks. "But—"

"I don't trust her to lead a team so we break it down into teams of six. I get Artie and Tina. You get Quinn. You take out the heroes that are still around. I take out the teams that come looking for us since Charlie's gone. We keep close to one another so we can help in case someone tries to fuck with us, and we keep our communicators on at all times. We've got this."
