Previously on Canon Distortion

Makoto Nanaya had just engaged in combat with Meifang Lapislazuli. The fighting she had against the Zero Squadron captain was gruelling and intense but Meifang was successfully repelled by Makoto's fist. As Meifang retreated and Makoto laid down on the ground to process what had just happened to her, we now cut back to the other group as they deal with Meifang's lackeys, a couple of mysterious looking beings called Fuzzies…

And now, the continuation of Canon Distortion

Meanwhile... In the Winery...

"Over here!" Sofia shouted, leading the group behind her around her family owned winery. Currently she, the other heads, Sora and Bullet were being chased by an army of Fuzzies and they were simply relentless in their pursuit of them. After seeing they could just fly in the area to avoid them, Sora had decided that separating them from Meifang was probably for the best as Sora from behind fired several bullets at the Fuzzies.

"Come on! Don't run away from us!" one of the Fuzzies shouted before their head was shot off by Sora's next shot. "Let's Play!" Another demanded as Sora blasted that one in the chest, killing it instantly. "God these things are nothing but flies!" Bullet shouted as Sora simply nodded his head at that as the group turned around another corner. "Are we there yet!?" Bullet demanded as Sofia wanted to shout but took a deep breath upon hearing that. "We're getting there! Don't pull your hot pants in a twist!" Sofia shouted as Bullet couldn't help but take offense to that statement but knew better to get mad at such comments right now.

"What do you think Vlad? Can you shoot in here?" Tetsu questioned as Vlad looked at his gigantic sniper rifle that barely could fit in the narrow space they were in at that moment. "We need to get to the spot, I can't risk getting to a shooting pose right now." Vlad explained as Tetsu nodded his head at that. "In that case, Zhang Pi, Sora. Shall we?" Tetsu said as Sora nodded his head and turned himself around along with Tetsu and Zhang Pi.

"You know I am not much of a fighter right?" Zhang Pi questioned as Tetsu simply grunted. "Your weapon is the most fitting for the space we are in right now." Tetsu answered as Zhang Pi couldn't help but smile as she pulled out needles from her cleavage. "I guess you are right about that. But if things get too hairy for me I am bailing." Zhang Pi answered as Sora couldn't help but smile upon hearing the conversation in front of him.

"This is the Otsu Four I remember." Sora said as Zhang Pi couldn't help but smirk a bit. "You know, if you were not already taken I might have fallen for you at that moment." Zhang Pi teased but Sora simply remained focused on the threat in front of him, Zhang Pi shaking her head at that moment as Tetsu drew his blade. "We just cut up as many as we can and then we bail. Got it." Tetsu ordered as Zhang Pi's smile immediately focused to a serious expression as Sora nodded his head, charging towards the group of Fuzzies forming in front of him.

"Finally! You're playing with us!" The Fuzzies shouted as Sora at that moment fired 6 more rounds from his gun. Each one managed to strike a Fuzzy but 6 more replaced those that went down. "Sorry. Not interested in playing with you one bit." Sora replied as Tetsu followed suit, slashing down on a Fuzzy with his Katana. The Fuzzy managed to dodge his strike and tried to use their fingers to grab and rip Tetsu's head but Zhang Pi was quick to respond and stab the Fuzzy right on their head, tossing them to the side in the process.

"Awww but we want to play with you! Play with you lots!" A fuzzy shouted as Sora immediately felt a Fuzzy tackle him down to the ground as Sora was quick to place his foot on the Fuzzy's stomach and flung them towards their kin, them recovering in the air before Sora managed to fire two shots at them. "We all want to play with you!" The Fuzzies said in unison as Sora couldn't help but feel creeped out by what he was looking at.

"Truly a bothersome pest." Tetsu said as he pulled out a few metal bolts from his pockets and tossed them towards the air. As the metal bolts flew in the air, Tetsu closed his eyes and focused on the the Fuzzies in front of him. The metal bolts began to shake before without warning, they fired themselves right towards the group of Fuzzies. They all tried to dodge but the bolts were relentless and a few were cut down.

"Normally I would find you all to be cuties… but honestly your charm wore off a long time ago." Zhang Pi said as her eyes opened, revealling a blood red hue in them as she immediately dashed right towards the Fuzzies with a speed that caught them off guard. She then stabbed her needle into one Fuzzy's head while tossing a needle right into another Fuzzy. A third Fuzzy tried to go after her but Zhang Pi did not hesitate to grab this Fuzzy and smash it right on the ground, taking it down as well.

"So rightfully, fuck off." Zhang Pi said as a fourth Fuzzy tried to attack her at that moment only to be skewered right through by Sora with the Rev Blade as he revved it once. "ENHANCED GEAR!" The Rev Blade yelled as with immense strength, Sora flung the dead Fuzzy on his blade right towards it's kin and blasted himself towards them. They tried to attack him using magic that began to form on their hands but Sora was too quick for their eyes and he effortlessly cut them down before they could let loose a single spell.

"Hehehehe! You all are so strong! Let's keep on fighting!" The Fuzzies cried out as Sora couldn't help but notice this demeanor. "Are...Are they… getting turned on by being killed like this?" Sora questioned as he felt a Fuzzy fly towards him and crash right onto him, causing a clash in the process. "Great…. Masochists… the most annoying type of people to fight possible." Tetsu complained as another Fuzzy flew towards his face but Tetsu was able to roll out of the way, slicing down their belly in the process.

"At least they are pretty fragile… but I do not like what they are doing." Zhang Pi said as more enemies were stabbed by her needles. Sora could understand what she meant by that statement. The Fuzzies right now were simply throwing themselves at them, letting themselves get killed by them yet their numbers did not seem like they were depleting at any moment. It was like they were throwing themselves to drain them of their stamina and then hit them with some big power.

"It's looking to be a waste of time for us to keep fighting them… we need to meet back with the others." Sora suggested as Tetsu and Zhang Pi nodded their heads in agreement. Without even wasting another moment, they immediately began to retreat, causing a few groans to come from the Fuzzies. "Awww come on! It was just getting good!" The fuzzies complained as Sora could see the Fuzzy that Tetsu had wounded, clutching their belly as they made a sickening smile.

"Stay for a while…" Before they could finish their statement or cast the spell they wanted to cast, Sora had reacted without hesitation and shot them several times, twice at their arms before once at their neck, severing their limbs in the process. "Sorry, Not interested." Sora said as the trio were able to run past them. "Awww we had such a nice chance to trap them too!" The fuzzies complained as Sora, Zhang Pi and Tetsu simply focused on their retreat.

"Nice work Sora." Tetsu simply said as Sora simply nodded his head, holding back any urges to accept compliments given to him as the situation was far from over. He needed to be at full focus for the fight ahead of him and any distractions would be bad. Tetsu could see Sora hold himself back and respect that about the man. He could be happy for the comment he had received but instead chose to focus on the task ahead of him.

"Hey Tetsu! The room's ready! Get down when you arrive!" Sofia said through the shared communicator that the Otsu Four used. Tetsu looked at Zhang Pi and Sora at that moment as the two nodded their heads. Tetsu took initiative and ran ahead, leading the way as Zhang Pi followed closely. Sora being the only one who has a ranged weapon that is shown to be able to handle the Fuzzies, hanged at the back as he continued to fire bullets right towards the Fuzzies.

"This is starting to get annoying. Why don't we do something about it." A Fuzzy said as they immediately stopped giving chase and raised their arms. Sora could sense that they were about to do something as they began to wrap themselves with their wings. At that moment Sora could sense that something was wrong as he immediately readied himself for the upcoming danger coming his way. The Fuzzy then began to spin themselves rapidly, charging towards his way without any care in their eyes.

Sora at that moment knew he had to do something about it. Firing a few bullets right at the Fuzzy, he was surprised to see them bounce off the slowly forming drill when before the bullets were able to pierce through them with ease beforehand. That told him that the Fuzzies were starting to get serious and he needed to respond to their threat equally. Gripping the Rev Blade, Sora waited for the flying Fuzzy to get closer to him before revving the Rev Blade at that moment.

"TOO SLOW!" The Fuzzy shouted, confident in their speed as they rushed towards him, their wings furled into a drill that threatened to rip Sora in half. The Fuzzy was confident that it would be able to pierce right through Sora before he would be able to do anything against him but without any warning from his part, Sora immediately swung the Rev Blade down, slicing the Fuzzy in half as the Fuzzy immediately vanished before they could register that they had been cut in half.

The Fuzzies couldn't help but watch in awe of Sora's display of strength. They couldn't help but become extremely excited seeing Sora handle their attack with ease. "You're so strong! Let's keep on fighting!" The Fuzzies said as Sora was simply not interested in keeping up the fight. "Sorry to disappoint you lot but I am not interested." Sora said as he ran away from the group yet again as the Fuzzies couldn't help but feel a sense of annoyance by this man's constant running despite his strength.

"BUT THAT'S NOT FUN!" The Fuzzies shouted as Sora saw the walls in front of him start to shake as Balmung immediately showed him what was going to happen next as he decided to keep on pressing on before doing anything else. The walls then began to shrink rapidly, closing on him to try and cut him off from the others. The Fuzzies were confident that Sora was not fast enough to get away but much to their shock, they simply saw Sora simply phase right through the wall they had made as the Fuzzies quickly retracted their wall barricade to continue giving chase, confused and annoyed their ploy had been so easily fooled.

Sora ignored the groans and moans of the Fuzzies behind him, focused on just getting back to the group before things got worse. He then remembered what Tetsu said as he soon saw an open door and knew what that meant. "YOU ARE STARTING TO ANNOY US!" The Fuzzies shouted, annoyed that this strong person was ignoring them so vehemently. "Sorry, I just have no interests in playing fair." Sora said as they saw him dive towards the door, exciting them as they thought that he had tripped and rushed towards him, hoping to surround him before he could run away again.

As soon as the Fuzzies flew into the room, their eyes had to adjust to the sudden light they were exposed to. "And we Otsunians never play fair!" Sofia shouted as when the Fuzzies' eyesight adjusted, they were greeted to a sight they never thought was possible. Dapper dressed men who look like a gang from a noir film had them surrounded, their tommy guns all pointed towards the door they were at as without any word, Sofia ordered her men to lay down suppressive fire.

The Fuzzies could feel an immediate barrage of bullets hit them without warning. Those that were at the front were immediately shot down before they could use their wings to defend themselves, acting as meat shields to protect their kin as those at the back were able to furl their wings to protect themselves. This protection would not last long as another gun, louder than the tommy guns rang out, taking down two Fuzzies with a single shot.

"Just like this!" Vlad shouted as he fired several more shots from his Anti-Material Rifle. While they were ineffective against Meifang due to her ability to tank ridiculous amounts of damage, the Fuzzies had no such protection, their winged shields getting ripped apart thanks to the combination of the bullet's magical and armor piercing properties that were crafted into each bullet. The barrage of bullets was endless, preventing the Fuzzies from casting any spells that would allow them to take down the soldiers shooting at them.

Soon the barrage of bullets ended, the men exhausting their bullets as the Fuzzies were cut down to just a singular individual. Their wings had protected them from the barrage of bullets as Vlad continued to keep them right on his line of sight. "looks like there's only one of you left." Tetsu said, him and Zhang Pi emerging out of their hidden corners as Sora stood up from the ground. "...NO FAIR! THAT WAS NO FAIR!" The Fuzzy shouted as Sora did not hesitate to fire a bullet right on the knee of the Fuzzy, forcing them to the ground.

"It's not meant to be fair, this is not a fight at the end of the day." Sora said as the Fuzzy couldn't believe how unfair they were. If Sora, this strong one was the one who had cut them down they would have been fine with it but they were instead cut down by weaklings that have to rely on their puny guns and big numbers to cut them down. The lone Fuzzy couldn't help but be angry by what it had just experienced and glared at the group.

"Then you all can die!" The Fuzzy shouted as they began to form magic on their fingertips. The magic on their fingertips danced towards their dead comrades, everyone in the room feel uneasy by what was going to hapepn next. Sora was not eager in any way to see what was going to happen next and did not hesitate to fire at the Fuzzy before they could finish their spell. The Fuzzy was quick to raise their wing to protect themselves from being shot, letting their spell finish casting.

The bodies of their fallen comrades pull themselves towards each other, fusing as one as they began to assume a different shape entirely, their wings were taken apart and used to form a cape that surrounded the new being as they stood double the height of Vlad. This being soon roared at the group as Sofia's men tried to fire at the creature but the cape this beast wore immediately protected it, causing the bullets to riccochet off it and threaten to harm the people in the room.

"Stop shooting you idiots!" Sofia shouted as the men quickly proceeded to do so before Tetsu could sense that something was wrong. "Everyone! Take cover now!" Tetsu shouted as everyone knew what he meant by that. Sofia's men immediately took cover behind the metal railings they had stood above while Vlad ripped off a piece of sheet metal for him and Sofia to shelther with. Tetsu and Zhang Pi took cover behind metal pillars and Sora, having no other metal item available for him to shelter with, immediately used the Rev Blade to block the incoming disaster.

The creature raised their arms, pointing their fingers towards the group. Their cape unfurled as it began to shoot out several sharp projectiles towards the group. The power these projectiles had alarming as some of Sofia's men got hit by them, some of them immediately dying while others were severely wounded. The sheet metal that Vlad held was unable to handle the impact but thanks to the randomness of the projectiles, Vlad and Sofia made it out with minor injuries. Tetsu and Zhang Pi were safe while the Rev Blade held firm against the barrage.

When the attack was finished, everyone looked up to see the creature scan it's environment for any potential living beings. The Fuzzy behind them grinned as he was sure that the monster they had created would be enough for them to see what they were capable of. "Now. Let's see what you all got!" Fuzzy said as the creature charged towards the group, prompting Sora to act immediately as he charged towards the monster.

The Monster raised their massive arm, trying to squish Sora with it's palm but he was quick enough to evade such an attack and retaliate by slicing at the arm. It managed to sever it but as soon as it did, Sora could see black tendrils immediately come out of the cut and forcibly stitch themselves back on the recently severed arm and immediately slapped him for his attempt, causing him to crash on the wall as Sora could see what the monster was going to do immediately after that.

The monster did not hesitate to lunge towards Sora, hand in a piercing motion as it thrusted with as much force it can muster, the wall behind Sora crumbled as Sora had jumped out of the way. The monster did not control it's power as it found itself stuck on the wall, prompting Sora to immediately attack it by slashing at it several times. As he did, the creature protected itself by simply using it's cape to protect itself like a massive shield.

Before Sora could wind up for his next attack, his instincts told him to turn around as he saw the Fuzzy fly towards him, claws out and aimed for his neck. The beast used the calm at that moment to unleash his own attack, causing Sora to put between a pincer attack. Sora would be unable to defend himself as while the Fuzzy aimed for his neck, the monster aimed to bisect him from the waist. None of the Otsu four would have been quick enough to help him but Sora instinctually knew that there was one person, having remained in the shadows that was ready to help at that very moment as he turned to face the Fuzzy.

"HAVE YOU GONE INSANE!?" The Fuzzy shouted as they were confident that they had the killing blow. However a huge blast of flame erupted behind Sora, the monster that had it's focus fully towards Sora staggered on it's feet as Bullet had finally made herself known, having remained hidden for the longest time. The Fuzzy was alarmed by this, the momentary distraction that Bullet's emergence causing it to lose focus on Sora for a split second.

They immediately turned around to face Sora, too late to realize what Sora was doing as Sora had sliced their hand off. Before he could even blink, Sora immediately grabbed them by their throat and slammed them hard on the ground, knocking all the wind out of them. The Monster turned around to face the mercenary Bullet, unsure who had just struck them other than it being a threat as they tried to attack them in the process.

"Fuck you." Bullet simply said as she jumped right on to the monster's head and slammed her massive gauntlet on the creature's head. The creature tried to retaliate but Bullet was quicker, activating her gauntlet's unique characteristic as a gigantic pile bunker immediately pierced the creature right in the head. As if that was enough, the gauntlet that Bullet wore immediately erupted in flames, pumping themselves right into the creature's head before exploding it completely, leaving the monster beheaded.

"...End of the line pal." Sora said as before the Fuzzy could think about attacking back, Sora immediately stabbed the Fuzzy right in their shoulder, leaving their arm trapped as Sora stared at the creature in front of him. "First of all… What the fuck are you." Sora demanded as Fuzzy couldn't help but laugh upon hearing that question. "What a silly question! As if we would ever tell you!" The Fuzzy questioned as Sora did not bother wasting time to listen to what he had just said and simply pushed his blade deeper.

"WHAT...THE HELL...ARE YOU." Sora demanded as Fuzzy couldn't help but smile, staring right at him before trying to lunge right for Sora with his mouth. At that moment, Sora could see fangs present on their mouth flash as Fuzzy tried to bite down on his neck at that moment. Everyone thought that was it for Sora but the Fuzzy's bite simply phased right through Sora's neck, surprising the Fuzzy immensely as Sora did not hesitate to plunge his blade even deeper before severing the Fuzzy's arm, causing it to squirm as Sora immediately grabbed the Fuzzy's neck again, this time using his Black Beast arm.

"Once again WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!" Sora shouted, allowing the Fuzzy to feel something else hidden behind the man. Sora's patience had been run thin as the rest of the Otsu four and Bullet did not bother trying to stop him. The Fuzzy couldn't help but stare at Sora, amazed by the sheer strength that was in display in front of them. "Hehehe. Simply Meifang's loyal follower. There's nothing else to it." Fuzzy replied as Sora simply shook his head upon hearing that statement "In that case, Why the fuck are there so many of you?" Sora questioned even further, determined to figure out what was the deal with this thing in his hands.

Fuzzy: Aren't you curious about me?

Sora:… Are you going to waste my time or should I just kill you right here and now

Fuzzy: Hehehe, What if I told you that I am a vampire?

Sora: A vampire huh… would explain the teeth.

Fuzzy: Is my answer satisfactory to you? Or you want to rip my head off with that hand of yours.

"...Gods you are so annoying that I want to shoot you." Sora said as he released his grip from the Fuzzy, walking back towards the group along with Bullet as the Fuzzy laughed a bit. "What? Having second thoughts about killing me?" The Fuzzy questioned as Sora did not hesitate to pull his gun on the little thing. "Nope. I am just realizing how much of a waste of time you have been." Sora said before pumping several bullets right into the thing, ensuring that it was dead with a head slice and dismember so that if it could regenerate, it would take a while.

"It's over for now…" Sora said as he looked at everyone as Sofia's men were busy tending to the wounded and dead. "Is everyone alright?" Sora questioned as Sofia scratched her head. "Some of the men are dead and Vlad got slightly dinged up. But other than that, we are doing alright over here." Sofia said as Sora took a deep breath upon hearing that and nodded his head. "Right. I need to go now." Sora said, keeping his words short as Tetsu simply nodded his head, understanding why Sora was keeping his words short.

"...You think this will be the last we see of these guys?" Bullet said, kicking the corpse in front of her as the heads simply shrugged their shoulders. "If there is like a 100 of them, there must be 100 more of them hiding in the corner." Sofia complained as Bullet nodded her head upon hearing that statement. "And what about you? You gonna follow Sora?" Zhang Pi questioned as Bullet looked at the direction that Sora had run towards and thought about doing so before shaking her head.

"I think I need to give him some time with his girlfriend. Is there anything I can do over here for now?" Bullet questioned as Sofia looked around and pointed towards the golem. "Think you can set up a fire and burn the corpse. The last thing we need is that thing coming back to life like some bad joke." Sofia said as Bullet nodded her head and began to set fire to the corpse. "But what are we to do? We should head back to Otsu for the time being but that deal though…" Sofia wondered as Vlad stretched a bit, a goon finished bandaging him up.

"I say we speak to our comrades. I feel that we should get further information before we decide to do anything. Got any safehouses we can hide inside for a little bit?" Vlad questioned as Tetsu sighed upon hearing that. "I can provide us with a temporary safehouse but we will need to make our decision quickly. Once Sora finishes with whatever is going on out there, we are leaving with everyone here." Tetsu said as everyone nodded their heads except for Bullet.

"What about you little Mercenary? Going to join us getting out of here or are you going to leave us now?" Tetsu questioned as Bullet looked towards the Otsu four, her own mind was in a train of thought as she wondered if she should continue being with the group or if she should consider a different path. "I think I will follow you guys for the time being. I need to give some time for me to think about things." Bullet said as the Otsu four nodded their heads upon hearing that statement.

Leaving Bullet to stew in her own thoughts as they had their own jobs to do…

SORA POV

Fuck those weirdoes took too long. I just hope that I am not too late at this rate. As my feet ran as fast as they would allow me to reach Makoto, I cannot help but begin to think about what had happened today. From the Otsu remembering me again to the appearance of the NOL at this very moment, Meifang showing her face around in Otsu and Makoto having some beef with her to the point she's decided to pick a fight against her. I don't know how to feel about the events that had happened today.

All I care right now is making sure that she's alright and not harmed in any way. As I increased my pace I began to worry subconsciously what had happened to her. Was she alright? Did she make it out of her fight against Meifang alive? All these thoughts swimming in my head made me simply run even faster. "You really cannot stop worrying about her huh…" A voice rang in my head as I immediately stopped running.

If I did not stop running, I would have tripped on myself in the process. I had to take a few minutes to compose myself as I looked around for a bit. "Do you really need to surprise me like that Amy?" I questioned as he could hear Amy chuckle in his head. "Sorry… I just figured that now was a fitting time for me to speak to you right now." Amy continued as I shook my head upon hearing that question

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked as Amy took her time to answer my question. "…You already have what you wanted. That woman has been granted her wish too… Why do you both continue to fight?" Amy questioned as I scratched my head upon hearing that question. Why we fight huh… That's something I had to consider when I chose to help out everyone else in this current situation with Makoto.

"It's because I want to help Makoto out. She still has people that she cares for her even if they forget about her eventually. As for me… While I am helping her in that regard… I want to also make sure nobody ever forgets her." I explained as I clenched my fist. While I am grateful for her bringing me back to the world of the living from where I was, It's not right for me to forsake her identity in the process. I have to try and right this wrong in the first place.

"You know… the way you speak about your desire makes me think about the Black Beast for some reason." Amy said as I couldn't help but raise my eyebrow upon hearing that statement. "The Black Beast?… I don't want to think about that right now. I need to focus on making sure Makoto is alright right now." I replied as I slowly walked ahead before stopping. "But when we have some time, I will ask you about that again." I said as I no longer heard Amy in my head, telling me that she was satisfied with my answer.

Taking the time to compose myself and checking my equipment, I immediately took off again, seeing the door that would lead me to where Makoto was as I did not hesitate to open the door. I was ready to get into another fight but to my shock, I just saw Makoto just lying on the ground. I felt my blood levels immediately rush and my face paled a bit. I immediately rushed to her and held her in my arms, checking for a pulse which thankfully was there as I held her tightly in my arms.

"...I enjoy being hugged as much as the next person but at the same time… I'm dying." Makoto joked as I simply pressed my face into her breasts. I took a small sniff of her, smelling the sweat she had built up from her fight as I decided to stop hugging her as I simply looked at her right in the eyes. "How are you right now? Besides looking like shit." I said as Makoto laughed upon hearing me say that. "I don't blame you for saying that, I did had a hell of a fight." Makoto responded as she gave me a kiss on my lips upon saying that.

"But thanks for showing worry for me Sora. That truly means a lot for me." Makoto said as I smiled upon hearing that. I helped her up on her feet as she decided to place herself on me a little. "What? You want me to give you a piggyback ride?" I asked as Makoto remained quiet for a bit before I shook my head and did as she wanted, causing her to kiss the back of my head in the process. "Thanks babe. I still feel a bit sleepy." Makoto said as I smiled upon hearing that.

"I will carry you for a little bit but we will need to get going. Just get more energy alright." I told Makoto as I felt her place her head on top of mine and simply nod. I could feel her sniff me a little as her tail swayed a bit at the corner of my eye. She must have been fighting really hard and she exhausted herself, most likely with a combination of Balmung and her own high intensity fighting style. As I let her rest on me, all I can think about is how lucky I am to have a woman like her.

...And how much I want to make sure she remains in everyone's heart…

GREETINGS LOST SHEEP OF FANFICTION!? HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING ON THIS FINE DAY!? As I had warned last month, I got hit hard with some work that kept me busy. I managed to find the time to write this chapter as it had been living in my head rent free so I should be able to release my usual 2 chapters a month. Just expect them to be on the smaller side but don't worry, that doesn't mean I am skimping on the quality on you guys.
