Chapter Fifteen

Fun in the Sun – Part One

A/N – I hope you agree that the outcome of Trent's situation was respectful and to be honest expected. He is a special young man and his compassion, I believe, is a result of the people around him and how they impact his personality. And, as bonus, we are seeing a permanent friendship forming between him and JT. They will always be there for each other and with Shawna as their third musketeer, it will be fun. I also would expect what this family and team did for the horses is what was expected as this is what they do. So, time for Cabo! I have done a lot of research as I have never been there, so I hope 2 chapters will fit it all in. Along with my research I am using some memories from a trip we made with 7 other families and 27 kids to Florida, crazy right. I plan to do some couple stuff and build out the relationships that the Borden girls have with their partners. Lyndy and Wyatt will have some great moments and JT, Trent and Shawna will have a lot of fun, first kiss maybe? But through it all Amy and Ty will be able to grow a relationship that has no boundaries. I don't know how far I will take this story but they had a milestone anniversary and birthdays in the future so who knows. I am looking forward to giving this trip the time it needs. Don't let up on providing me feedback and story ideas. Your interest and support of my work is genuinely appreciated and looked forward to. Mature Content – Enjoy!

Story Update – I have decided to change the name of the story to Lyndy and Wyatt – Passing on the Heartland Legacy. I have noticed that my readership is down and I believe adding Heartland to the title may help that. Hope everyone is good with the change.

The Borden family awoke with different levels of enthusiasm. JT, Maddie, Annie and Addie were fired up and ready to go. Maddie got coffee and drinks ready as JT, Annie and Addie tended to the horses. Before they left everyone would say goodbye to them but at least they would be fed and watered. The four of them figured the others would need a little extra sleep so they were happy to do it, even though it was only 6am. Lyndy was the first to wake up and stretched as the alarm went off. Wyatt grumbled, "Why did you keep me up do late last night." She rolled on top of him and smiled, "And you are complaining?" He kissed her and smiled, "Shower time." They got up and hopped in the shower together so in his words they could save hot water. In Amy and Ty's room, Amy woke to see her husband turning off the alarm before it rang. He knew she hated them. She stretched, realizing that they never put any clothes on and pulled the sheet up over her, "Good morning my love." He smiled as he stood in his boxers, "Really you are covering up?" She blushed a little, "A lady likes her privacy." He smirked, "Well miss privacy, first one to the shower gets their back scrubbed." Like a flash she bolted by him in her birthday suit and smiled as she turned on the water. Before they headed down, Lyndy and Wyatt got their backpacks to carry on as Amy and Ty did the same. Amy had all the passports, plane tickets, Medical Power of Attorney documents and emergency information for the non-family members. Ty had all of the brochures along with the insurance cards for the family. As they were still in school the company's insurance covered their kids and Wyatt. After another check they looked over the room and headed out. Amy made sure each of the kids had a change of clothes in the case their luggage got delayed, although they weren't concerned since it was a direct flight. The two drowsy couples made it to the kitchen to welcomed cups of coffee. Good morning and some hugs took place as they sat chatting quietly. JT spoke up, "The horses are all good but I think they want to visit before we leave." Everyone agreed as there was a knock on the door and a smiling Mallory ushing in Trent and Shawna was at the door. "Good morning world travelers, I left the check in bags on the porch and here are there carry-ons. You have all their paperwork, right?" Amy smiled, "You do know my husband right, he is the consummate planner and organizer of all Borden travel." Everyone laughed as Ty pouted and Amy poked his ribs. They sat for a while longer, went to visit the horses and loaded up. Maddie, Annie and Addie were texting their boyfriends and proclaimed that they were on their way and would meet them at check-in. To make things easier, Amy and Ty bought all the tickets and the other guest parents sent their share through Venmo. After the trip if they spent anything additional they would let them know but they also had cash and some prepaid cash cards as well, except for Trent and Shawna as Amy had their money. The Borden kids had their parents. They headed out as some of the staff waved them off. The ride was fun and Wyatt stayed close to Ty to make sure after they dropped everyone off at check-in so they could meet Ricky, Jeremy and Desi and they would park together in Long Term Parking. They hopped on the shuttle after parking and each did a final check of the vehicles to make sure nothing was missed. They pulled up to the terminal and saw Lyndy and Shawna waving at them. As they approached Lyndy jumped into Wyatt's arms, "Hey guys , over here, we are all inside waiting for you." Shawna giggled as Ty picked her up, "Lead the way." Even Ty was a little overwhelmed as he approached the large group but when Amy came over to hug him all was well. They all chatted excitedly as Amy got their attention, "Ok everyone, all of the checked bags have been taken care of and make sure everyone has their carry-ons, phones, wallets and stuff. I know you all are adults but I still want to keep all the passports and other paperwork just to make it easier. Now, we have to say this. I know you are all capable but remember look out for each other and let others know if you are going to wonder off. There are 13 of us and this condo has everything we will need and more, but we will venture out from time to time." Everyone smiled in agreement as JT blurted out, "I'm starving, let's eat." Ty smiled, "Ok, we have an hour until we need to go through security, so Mom and I will take the little guys but if you other guys can go wherever, just be back on time." The girls looked at each other as Lyndy spoke up, "Daddy, this is a family trip, let's get through security and go freak out a restaurant and ask for a table for all of us." They all laughed again and headed to get some breakfast. Ty smiled at Amy and without words they knew the other was beyond happy. The trip was underway and everyone was excited.

At the restaurant after they went through security the group received a lot of glances and smiles. Ty went through security last and an older couple smiled at them as the woman spoke, "Is this your group?" He laughed, "Yeah, kind of crazy. We are heading to Cabo San Lucas with our six kids and friends." She smiled in amazement, "Well your daughters are beautiful and so is your wife. It is so nice in today's world to see such a close family group." Amy walked over and said hello, "Hey honey, the kids are heading to the restaurant." The woman reached out her hand, "I was just telling your husband how amazing your family and their friends are, I can't believe the size of the group." Amy smiled, "Well thank you, "It is spring break and we are treating them to a trip, boyfriends included for my three younger girls. Our oldest daughter and her fiancé are graduating from college and getting married so we felt this might be a last chance for a family trip for a while." The man smiled, "Well I think you won't have that problem, I couldn't help but notice how close they are especially with the two of you. It was hard to not watch you all moving through security. It is really wonderful to see." Amy and Ty smiled as he continued, "And I have to ask, is that the young man and his girlfriend who saved those poor horses along with you and your family?" Amy blushed a little, "Yes it is. Things have calmed a bit but it was a whirlwind of activity for sure. My daughter Lyndy and her fiancé Wyatt are pretty amazing." The woman smiled, "Well so is the Miracle Girl and her famous Vet husband." Ty laughed, Miracle Girl for sure, famous husband not so much, but yes we are busted." They thanked them for their kind words and headed off to meet the rest. Somehow they were able to seat them all at adjoining tables and everyone enjoyed a good breakfast. The flight was a little over 4 hours so they filled up and figured the next real meal they would have would be dinner. As they finished Ty asked for the bill. The waitress smiled, the couple over there has taken care of it. Amazed Amy looked over and saw the couple whom they had chatted with earlier. As the kids headed to the shops for a bit, they walked over to thank them. They walked up and Ty spoke, "That was totally not necessary but thank you." The man smiled as his wife spoke, "Well we felt as though we wanted to help your trip start off well and to be honest, we have followed what happened to the horses since the beginning and we are amazed at your family and your company. Our family owns the Lake Louise Resort in Banff and we know you have been there a few times." Amy smiled, OMG, we love that place, I can't believe you are the owners." Her husband smiled, "Well like you the land has been in the family for 7 generations and one of them decided to build a hotel and resort. The rest Is history, like your family our kids run it now and it will be passed on from generation to generation. Now we get to travel and go to our family place in Cabo a lot. Even a Canadian needs some sun everyone once in a while" They thanked them again and shared information deciding that they would have the couple over for dinner one night. They went to the gate as Amy distributed tickets and passports reminding them she would collect them after they boarded. The basically had two rows, with four seats on each side of the aisle. The one complete row was for the four couples and behind them one side had the three youngsters with Amy on the aisle and Ty right across from her. It was the first international flight for all the kids so Ty got the customs cards and talked to them about it, letting them know that the flight attendant would talk about them as well. The kids were excited and a little nervous as they waited in line and checked in. As they walked down the jetway, JT blurted out, "Watch out Cabo, the Bordens are coming!" Everyone laughed including onlookers as they entered the plane and took their seats. They settled and the flight attendant walked by, "So you are the large group, welcome to the flight. If you need anything just grab one of us." As she looked at the kids she smiled, "I understand we have a couple of celebrities on the plane so extra peanuts for you." They laughed as she looked at JT, "And you young man, I will keep my eye on you." He gave a thumbs up as Shawna tickled him. Everyone was settled and as the plane taxied, the attendants went through the safety stuff. As they finished, the pilot came over the intercom going over the details of the flight and at the end he added something, "Ladies and gentleman, I also want to recognized some special guests with us today. I am sure you were all glued to the story about those poor horses that were in that horrible accident. Well today, we have Wyatt Miller and Lyndy Borden along with their family on our flight. Please join me and the crew in thanking them for what they did and have done for those amazing animals. Thank you Borden Family and welcome aboard." They were all in shock as the entire plane erupted in applause. They hadn't even taken off and already they had two recognitions of their efforts. The trip couldn't have started off better.

The long flight, which was a first for many of the younger folks was a lot of fun. They watched movies and listened to music. The couples snuggled and snuck kisses giggling a lot. They also took turns looking out the window except Shawna who was a little nervous. Trent and JT made sure she was Ok, as Amy watched over the three youngsters. Ty was looking over things to do and making sure all the kids filled out the customs paperwork that was handed out. Amy occasionally smiled over to him seeing how he was so good at helping them and making sure they were all Ok. As she watched he would look at her with that smiled just for her that made her feel all warm inside realizing how amazing her man was and how much she loved him. Secretly she hoped they stole some alone time and she was sure he wanted it as well. Lyndy and Wyatt sat closely as she laid her head on his shoulder sleeping a little. Ty smiled as he knew how much his daughter loved Wyatt and how amazing they were together. The twins also had great relationships with their boyfriends and expected, at least for Annie and Jeremy, they were serious about their future together. They felt Addie and Desi were close as well but it was a little different than her sister and her boyfriend. They smiled at each other watching Maddie and Ricky as their relationship was at an early stage but they really had fun together. Of all of the group, they seemed to laugh the most always joking at each other. Their love was new but Amy smiled, seeing some similarities from when her and Ty were their age. The 8 of them really got along and were all excited about their week together. But for Amy and Ty watching JT, Trent and Shawna was the most fulfilling. They never saw a threesome so close and marveled how they got along. Amy also noticed how Shawna looked at JT. They were only 10 but seemed to really like each other but were shy together, which was a look on JT they had never seen. Although her and Trent were classmates and Shawna was in a grade lower, they were closer in age than he was with Trent. As the flight continued they were served a light meal that the kids gobbled up. As a treat and they were kind of celebrities the flight attendant brough them ice cream as a special snack. The kids and Ty gobbled it up. It was a little early for ice cream so Amy gave hers to Ty. There were three woman in their sixties sitting next to Ty who were quietly talking through the flight and then kindly got his attention. They woman next to Ty smiled, "I'm sorry we just have to say how amazing your family is especially that young couple who saved the horses. And the others, how many are yours?" Ty smiled, "Well this is my wife Amy and we have five children and one that we have adopted." He pointed them out as they waved back to the couple." The other kiddos are their friends that came along for our trip. We had a client that offered their condo as a thanks for helping their horses so we took them up on it." The lady next to her smiled, "Well we followed that whole sordid tale, those poor horses. What you and your family did and are doing is wonderful. But I have to ask, how are the two who had surgeries. My late husband was a vet so I kind of know what you are up against." Ty smiled and quickly went through how they were doing and then looked to Amy to talk about the others. The lady by the window, spoke up, "So you are going to find homes for all of them?" Amy smiled, "Yes, outside of a few of them who have already been adopted by some of our staff and family. Trent here has his eye on one and we will begin getting the horse ready for him." The three ladies smiled as the one next to Ty spoke again. Well you and your daughters and that little girl next are just beautiful and the men so handsome, especially this one." She poked Ty in the ribs as Amy smiled. "Anyway, we are on a girls trip and maybe we will run across each other, I hope you guys have a great time, you have earned it." Amy and Ty thanked them and smiled. Shawna leaned into Amy and whispered, "Watch out Mrs. Borden, you have some competition." They giggled as she looked lovingly at her husband. The rest of the flight went smoothly and everyone perked up when the pilot came on the intercom, "Ladies and Gentlemen we are beginning to make our descent into Cabo San Lucas, flight attendant prepare the cabin for landing. Welcome to paradise." The group giggled in excitement, they were ready for a fun week.

Deplaning went well and as was the theme, several of the other people on the flight went out of their way to thank Wyatt and Lyndy, some even wanting a selfie with the heroes of Hudson. The grief from their siblings was a little overbearing but deep down like their parents everyone was proud of them. Ty and Wyatt went to get the two large SUVs as Amy took the others to get the bags. Jeremy, Desi and Ricky retrieved them as the girls called them out. Thankfully, they all made it and as they grabbed the last one, Wyatt and Ty returned. Ty, laughed, "Good to see all the hard work is done. The shuttle for car rental center is out this door, so Wyatt and I will get them and come back. Then, let's get to the condo." JT added, "Good I am hungry." Lyndy smiled and whispered to her mom, "I think we may need more food." Once in the cars Amy and Lyndy were the navigators as they followed the GPS for the 20 minute ride. As they pulled up to the condo, everyone's' mouth dropped. Addie was in shock, "It is huge, like a mansion." While Ty, Wyatt and the other guys opened the garage doors with the code they were given and spent a little time looking over the golf carts then started to unload. Amy and the girls opened the front door with another code and they began exploring. They had a layout of the property but seeing it for real was another thing. Screeches and laughs were heard everywhere as someone would discover something new. Lyndy and Shawna went to grab Amy, "Mom, you need to see your room, it is unbelievable." Amy smiled as Shawna drug her to the master suite. When she walked in her eyes drew wide. The bedroom was huge with a king size bed, sitting area, a coffee bar, an amazing private balcony with a view of the ocean and beach and a bathroom that was as big as their dining room at home. Amy blurted out, "Oh my this is amazing, it is a big as an apartment at home. Ty is going to love it." Lyndy and Shawna blushed as the little girl whispered, "I bet he will, will we see you two at all this week?" Amy turned bright red as Lyndy high-fived her new found friend. She finally blurted out, "It is nice but we have to keep an eye on all of you." They headed back out to the huge common area, and the girls started picking their rooms. Amy walked with them and was Ok with it, although her and Ty were still on the fence with Maddie and Ricky in the same room. Amy knew they were close and they trusted them but being only 16 was a little young for them. Although when she was that age the chance to be with Ty was inviting for sure. She whispered to Maddie that she and her dad would talk about it. The room that Trent, JT and Shawna were staying in was huge with 3 bunk beds and a game room attached with a host of games and a huge TV. There was also a large media room that was very comfortable along with a popcorn machine and wet bar with a stocked mini fridge. The unbelievable kitchen was alongside the main area along with a dining room and a table for sixteen. Attached to the main area was a huge deck with seating for sunbathing, an outdoor kitchen and a large pool. There were steps that led to the beach and a storage shed with everything they needed to their beach activities. They saw a dock with a couple of boats and other water equipment. Shawna joked, "Even the laundry room is awesome and the bathrooms are so fancy." The girls all giggled as they heard grunting coming in from the garage. The men were carrying in their bags along with the bags of their girlfriends and in JTs case Trent and Shawna. The ladies had completely forgot about the bags as Wyatt complained, "Don't worry the men have all the heavy lifting done already while you are all goofing off." Addie laughed and said, "Desi, follow me to our room and you other hulky men can do the same." Amy went over to Ty for a hug and whispered, "Babe, this place is more than I could have imagined. This week is going to be amazing. I will go help the young ones and why don't you go take the bags to our room, which is overwhelming." He smiled and whispered back, "Maddie and Ricky?" She looked at him, "Well I am good but I plan to talk to her about it, can you talk to Ricky?" He smiled rolling his eyes, "I will but you have the easy part, I may bring Wyatt in for support." After a longer than usual kiss, they each headed their way. JT grabbed his bag and his mom's hand leaning into her ear. "Thanks mom, Trent, Shawna and I are going to have so much fun. And by the looks of things and the kiss so are you." Everyone unpacked and set up I-Pads and power cords. Amy walked around and told everyone a meeting in the family area in 15 minutes. Right on time a group of overly happy kids and couples holding hands headed down.

Ty got everyone's attention, "Well we made it through the hard part and I don't know about the rest of you but the Wyatt, Lyndy lovefest is getting a little annoying." They all laughed as Amy poked her husband. "Well the property manager will be here in a half hour to go over everything and then we have two options for dinner. We can order something or go out and find a place. The owners left a lot of information on both, so it is your call." All at once they all said order in as Annie spoke up. "We want to explore the beach and stuff before it gets dark." Amy smiled, "Me too, so let's order something and when the person leaves after showing us everything we can eat by the pool and go exploring. Now JT, don't get mad but you three need to stay in eyesight or go with us or one of you sisters." He frowned, "I know it sucks being a little kid sometimes." Lyndy joked, "Yea but you have four older sisters that love you to death." They all giggled hugging him. Shawna smiled and leaned into Amy, "I like that." The woman from the agency showed up and went over everything in detail, emphasizing that this is one of the nicest properties they manage. She seemed to be focusing a lot of her instructions to Ty which many of the kids noticed. Ty and Wyatt had a good grasp on all the water toys and the boats as Amy and the girls got their head around all of the inside gadgets and such. Desi got a handle on the media stuff and along Jeremy and Ricky practiced getting it to work correctly. Everyone got the WiFi password and synced their I-Pads. Ty and Amy wanted to keep an eye on things at home and the kids wanted to be able to share their escapades with their friends. Along with Lyndy, Amy and Ty, Wyatt also wanted to see how the horses were doing as well that were rescued. Luckily, they ordered before she came and when she were getting ready to leave, the food showed up, an array of Mexican food from a local popular restaurant. They set up the food on a table by the pool and everyone helped themselves using plates and knives that JT and Shawna had set up. Trent, Maddie and the twins got drinks and soon they were all enjoying some dinner since everyone was starved. Although the conversation was fun everyone caught themselves looking out at the amazing scene in front of them. A beautiful beach, crystal blue waters and a setting sun that was like a picture postcard. They talked about the week and decided that tomorrow would be a lazy day at the beach and pool. They had food for breakfast and lunch in the fridge and pantry which was amazingly stocked but did decide to go out for dinner. they cleaned up and the couples broke away for sunset walks on the beach. Trent, Shawna and JT wanted to swim so Amy and Ty stayed joined them and spent some time looking at the sunset in each other's arms. Amy leaned into him and whispered, "This is perfect Ty. I mean we have had some great trips together, but to be here with the kids is a dream for sure." Ty smiled kissing her on the neck, "Yea, it is nice, but I hope you save some of those dreams for me. And by the way, you look hot in your suit, even though it is a one piece. I can't wait to see the bikinis." She giggled, "Well maybe I can model them tonight for you." He blushed as they kissed each other holding for a while longer that they should have. A voice came from the pool as Trent laughed, "Man JT, so do your mom and dad always make out in public?" Amy buried her head in Ty's chest as the girls and their smiling boyfriends came back from their sunset walks. Lyndy laughed leaning into Wyatt, "Well we will definitely have to do that again." Addie smiled at the scene they walked up on and spoke up, "JT, were mom and dad making out again. I think they need a chaperone for sure." They all laughed and headed back inside to get ready for bed as it had been a long day for all. Amy and Ty held Maddie and Ricky back as Amy spoke, "Ok, we have discussed it and we know you are responsible so you can share a room, so please be respectful. Ricky we talked to your folks and they trust you both as well. But I bet Mr. Borden may do a spot check or two." Ty looked sternly at Ricky as he paled instantly. "Don't worry and we appreciate your trust in us." The night was restful for everyone and as promised, Amy gave a fashion show for Ty of the bikinis she bought. The last one found its way to the floor as they quietly made sure they started their vacation off making love to each other. As Amy got her breath back she whispered, "Did I tell you how excited I am about our week here?" He smiled trying to come down as well from his wife's love. "Well you may have not said it enough but you sure just showed me you are excited." They smiled in each other's arms and fell asleep in pure bliss each looking forward to their week with the family.

After a much needed good night's sleep the family woke refreshed and ready to go. Amy, Lyndy and Annie were getting breakfast ready as Ty was looking over some ideas for the week. He planned talking with everyone at breakfast, which was going to be out on the deck again. Everyone got something to eat along with lots of coffee and had a seat still in their PJs and slippers. Addie laughed leaning into kiss Desi on the cheek, "Now this is living." Ty went over some options but today they agreed would be for relaxing, swimming and some beach time as the boys were excited since it would be bikini reveal day. "So, here are some options, Whale Watching, Camel Rides on the Beach, Dune Buggie Rides, Snorkeling, a cool Pirate Ship and a lot of food tours. And I know mom and I are going on a sunset cruise so if anyone wants to join us you are welcome. Here are all the brochures so look them over and we can discuss at lunch so I can start setting things up." They all clambered about looking them over and enjoying their breakfast. As they finished everyone cleaned up and got ready for a morning in the sun. The girls with Shawna, decided to get dressed together and surprise the boys with their suits. Amy checked on Trent and JT and went back to get ready. The woman all had nice cover ups that kept the men in suspense as they gathered towels and whatever they needed for the beach, where they had all decided to go this morning. After lunch it would be the pool or the beach, it was up to them. Ty and the guys set up lounge chairs and umbrellas as the hut on the walkway had enough beach gear for all of them. The guys settled as the girls came down with coolers filled with drinks and some snacks. Everyone staked their place and like it was rehearsed the girls all shed their cover ups to begin taking advantage of the sun and very warm morning temps. As they folded their cover ups the four young men gasped at how beautiful they all were, while Ty did his best to handle the fact of what they had on. He whispered, "God, they are all so beautiful and Shawna is so pretty. We are really going to have to keep an eye on them, those boys look like they are going to pass out." She smiled as he added, "But to be honest I am more worried about all the men that will be clamoring over you, you look amazing." She blushed as everyone got in the chairs to soak up the sun and sea breeze. Couple by couple, they ventured to the water to fully enjoy the warmth and serenity of the day. The four couples played in the water, laughing and splashing each other. JT, Trent and Shawna joined them as they played and teased each other. The girls suits were enough to cover up but Ty still looked on a little worried. Amy laughed, "Ty you know they have all been together as couples so it's not something new to them. They are growing up, heck Lyndy is getting married. You need to be strong." He laughed, "I know, I just remember when they were my little girls that I could hold in my arms." As a tear came to his eye he yelled to the group, "Not like home you think?" They all laughed and carried on as Amy leaned into him for a kiss. "Well you may not be able to hold them like you used to but you always have me to hold, forever." They kissed as a few hoots came from the water. She smiled, "And you know we will have little grandchildren to hold one day." His eyes drew wide, "Not too soon I hope!" They laughed as she snuggled into his chest. After some time in the water, the couples all sat on the lounge chairs to get some sun. Amy couldn't help herself as she reminded them to put sun screen on reminding them they weren't in Alberta anymore. Ty watched as four very attentive young men applied sun cream to his daughters and in return they did the same. He was so focused he didn't even feel Amy tugging at him as she had just got back from helping JT, Trent and Shawna with lotion and hats they had to wear. She tugged his arm, "Ty, you need to chill or you will have a heart attack by the end of the week. They are in love and the whole touching thing is part of it." She smiled seductively, "I mean we did a lot of touching when we were their age." He shook his head as she continued, "And I need you to help me get some sun lotion on my back," as she laid on her stomach. His attention definitely moved to her as he helped lather her up and when finished she helped him. Amy leaned in for a kiss and whispered, "Why don't you get you mind off your daughters and go play with the little ones, they are building sand castles. Make sure they keep their hats on." He kissed her and headed over to play as she watched him smiling. She grabbed her book and relaxed in love with him more than ever.

Just before lunch Amy, Ty and the three youngsters headed back to the condo to get lunch ready consisting of sandwiches, chips and drinks. Amy told the girls that they needed to head up soon. After everyone cleaned up they ate lunch and talked about what they wanted. Everyone wanted to do whale watching, which was not a typical thing at home so Ty said he would set it up. JT, Trent and Shawna really wanted to do the Pirate ship so Lyndy and Wyatt offered to take them. The twins and Maddie were content with a lot of beach and pool time. But they agreed with the group that Camel rides would be cool as riding horses was their thing. Annie laughed, "Oh my god we will need to take a lot of pictures, no one will believe we rode Camels!" They agreed on a trip or two into town for some local food and a big dinner the night before they were going home so Ty told everyone he would set everything up. They four couples decided on a sunset cruise figuring that their mom and dad would like to do one on their own. The week was set so they headed off to the beach and pool. Wyatt, Desi, Jeremy and Ricky got a quick tutorial on the water toys and the pontoon boat. Jeremy was familiar with one so he became the captain. Their group was going to spend the day on the water trying all the toys out. JT and Trent were a little bummed so Ricky and Wyatt promised them rides on the jet skis. Amy and Ty set up a little camp so they could watch them and sit with Shawna, who was a little leery of the ocean water. Ty joined in on some of the fun with the kids and while he hung with Shawna, the girls got their mom on a jet ski as Addie claimed, "Mom, it's kind of like a horse?" They all laughed as Ty and Shawna watched. She smiled at him as he asked, "So Shawna, are you having fun?" She smiled sweetly, "Mr. Borden I am so happy to be here with you guys and thanks for asking me. I am so happy to see Trent enjoying himself, he deserves it." She blushed a little, "And JT is really a great friend to both of us. I know we are young but I really care for him." Ty smiled, "Well I know he thinks the world of you too so the feeling is mutual." They sat as Amy took a spill and while everyone was laughing she whispered, "My mom always says you two are the perfect couple but were too hard headed to realize it when you were young. She said she had to work hard to get you two to realize that." She blushed, "When did you know that you loved Mrs. Borden." He thought for a moment, "Well although I didn't understand it, I think it was when I built a riding course for her. She had just tamed her horse Spartan." Shawna interrupted, "The one on the company sign right, JT told me about him." He smiled, "Yep that is the one. Anyway she wanted to start jumping him but he was still afraid of the trailer, so I found a field close to Heartland and built one for her. When she went through it she was so happy and looked over to me and gave me my smile and a little wave. I was done with that smile, a smile that I know is just for me." Shawna smiled and was quiet when she finally spoke up, "I feel that way when JT smiles at me." Ty chuckled and put his hand on her shoulder, "Well then you are as lucky as me." They each smiled as Amy came back their way, "What are you two grinning about?" Shawna laughed, "We were just talking about how lucky we are." She smiled a little confused as Ty mouthed, "Later." The afternoon was just what they needed to start their week of fun in the sun.

They decided to eat in so dinner was prepared by Ty, Amy and Shawna as the others had to clean up after a day at the beach and the water. Ty grilled some burgers and hot dogs as Amy and Shawna got together the condiments and some premade potato salad, cole slaw and pasta salad. JT and Trent set up the table as the four smiling couples slowly made it down to the dining room. Ty grimaced as he noticed that they seemed very happy and were clinging to each other. He understood what Amy had told him but it was still his little girls. As he looked on, Shawna tugged at his arm and leaned into him whispering, "You have to let it go Mr. Borden." He smiled and picked her up, "You are a way too smart little girl." Dinner was a happy occasion as Ty went over some of the things planned for the week and the four couples could barely keep their eyes open. Amy smiled, "That play time really takes a lot out of you doesn't it." Maddie slouched in her chair, "Man I am whooped, but it sure was fun. So dad what's up for the week, we are all ears." Ty smiled and went over the plans, which were pretty loose except for things that he had to book. "Well the Whale watching is Wednesday and we will be on the morning cruise. And Camel rides are on Thursday also in the morning. I figure the afternoons will be beach and pool time. Tomorrow night I thought we would go to the Mexican Food Festival in town. They have food booths, games and music that sounds like fun. Mom and I are going on the sunset cruise on Friday so if you guys want to go great but if not we can book another night. And Saturday, before we leave I booked a reservation at a really nice restaurant in town that the owners recommended as well as the woman from the property management company." The girls giggled as Annie spoke up, "You mean the one who was all over day. I thing he has a girlfriend mom." Amy smiled, "Oh trust me, I saw it. I'll keep her in line because nobody messes with my man." Addie laughed, "You got it sister, the Borden women keep their men in their sights all the time." They all laughed as Lyndy spoke up, "Well, we already booked our own sunset cruise the night before the Camel Rides if that is Ok. All the boys paid for it and we all expected to be wooed." JT rolled his eyes, "You are just as weird as mom and dad." Amy smiled, "Dad and I wanted to know if you three wanted to do the Pirate Ship cruise with us one day?" Trent excitedly responded as JT and Shawna shook their heads as well, "That would be cool." JT added, "And we could give the lovebirds some time alone." They all chucked and went to tickle their little brother as Annie smirked, "But we love our little brother so much." Jeremy spoke up, "Thanks so much for planning all of the stuff and for letting me come on this trip. This will be something I will never forget." Amy and Ty smiled as Annie spoke softly leaning into him, "I agree and it will be something we will talk about for a long time." After cleaning up from dinner, they sat around relaxing as one by one the kids went to bed. JT yawned and laughed, "Wow look at us, not even 8:00 and we are all exhausted. The vacation stuff is tough." Several of the others saw it, but Shawna leaned into him, "Yeah JT but it is sure fun being here with you." Lyndy and Maddie almost lost it as they watched how close they were becoming. Trent leaned over to Wyatt and Lyndy and whispered, "Maybe your dad needs to keep an eye on them too." They giggled as everyone headed to bed and Ty and Amy went out to sit on their balcony to watch the ocean waves.

Ty and Amy checked in on everyone and for the most part they were all out like a light, except Lyndy who they saw coming out of her room. She smiled and hugged them both, smiling, "I am heading to get some water. This has been awesome so far mom and dad. Everyone is having so much fun and the week has just started. I know you know we love you but this is something that we will never forget. I was talking to Wyatt and he agrees we, we'll all of us do. We love you guys so much." Amy smiled tearily and hugged her again. "Well honey, we are having a lot of fun too and I know it is weird but we wanted to have a chance to be with everyone one last time before everything that is coming up. I mean you two are graduating, Wyatt is becoming a vet and of course there's that wedding thing." Lyndy giggled and hugged her dad, "Don't worry dad, we aren't going to do anything until Wyatt gets his license." He smiled, "Baby girl, you need to do what works for the two of you but I have two request. Give us at least 3-4 months' notice and don't let Lou know until the very last minute, and Maddie too for that matter." They all laughed and put their hands over their mouths to be quiet. Lyndy looked at them and spoke solemnly, "Mom and dad, thank you for being such amazing parents to us and to Wyatt as well. What you did for him, well it was amazing and we will never forget it." She gathered herself, "But mostly I want to thank you for showing all of us what true love looks like. I know we razz you sometimes but seeing how you two look at each other gives us all a warm feeling. I can't tell you how many times our friend are amazed at how much you two love each other. A lot of them don't have that in their lives and are jealous. We just don't know anything else and are better because of it. Your love has guided all of us through our lives and helped us always do the right thing." She took a moment as Amy and Ty stood unable to speak. "And do you guys know why Wyatt ran into that mess with the horses without even a hesitating. He told me later at home that it was because of watching you and hearing the stories of how you always stepped in to help." She put her head down and continued, "I love him so much and I just hope we can share a love like the two of you have." Amy smiled, "You will Lyndy, we both see it already. Now let's get to bed, we need our rest for all of dad's plans." They hugged and headed to their rooms. As Amy and Ty entered their room, they both sighed heavily as Ty whispered, "Wow." He locked the door and pulled Amy into a passionate kiss. After a few minutes, they pulled a part and Amy spoke softly, Well all I can say is wow." He smiled, "Well we have a reputation to keep up according to our daughter." It was Amy's turn to be the aggressor jumping into his arms and straddling his waist giggling, "And since I seem to have some competition with the lady who showed us the condo, I better get to work." The quickly discarded each other's clothes and rolled into bed. There was no hesitation and delay as Amy rolled on top of him moving her lips and hands all over his body resulting in moans that were intense and deep. Amy was focused on his pleasure as she moved to all the right places and when she went to his favorite his body jerked as his back arched. She had him at her mercy and made sure she met every need he had. As she relaxed it was Ty's turn to bring satisfaction to his wife. He did so with love and intent to help her reach her climax, which she did several times. When they were ready he hovered over her as she opened up and they made love. Their movements were soft and tender until they reached the boiling point that resulted in a mutual crescendo of love and desire. As they caught their breath, their four daughters were in the arms of their men in a blissful and much needed sleep. It had been an amazing day and more fun was on the way. In the younger kids room, they decided that tonight was the lower bunk day and all three of them were sleeping and dreaming. JT and Trent were dreaming about the activities of the week while Shanwa dreamed of the conversations she had with JT's parents about her best friend. She knew they were young but also felt something more than friendship. She hoped that eventually it became more and was willing to wait as she really cared for him. Amy got up to go to the bathroom and when she came back she found a still naked Ty fast asleep. She smiled thinking of the day and what Lyndy had said. She pulled a sheet over them, kissed Ty's cheek and nestled into his strong arms. Within minutes she was fast asleep as well with the man she loved more than anything in the world.
