Estarossa stretched his arms and then his back. "What are you stretching for? I figured your legs practically got a whole workout from the elimination round." Gloxinia remarked. "Hah, a workout? That was barely a warmup." Estarossa replied.
"Brother, remember. Don't play around. You never know what this guy could pull." Zeldris reminded with a serious tone. "Come on, brother. Relax. When you're as strong as I am, playing around is necessary to make sure you don't kill anybody." Estarossa replied heedlessly, about to step up to the arena before he noticed Melascula stepping up to him.
"Good luck and...b-be careful." She said with a caringsmile. Estarossa then smirked, keeping a confident look to ease any concerns. "You got it!" He whispered as he then patted her head lightly. "Eep..." Melascula's face immediately turned deep red. Elizabeth curiously watched, wondering why Melascula always the most shy around Estarossa in particular. Perhaps a question for later...
Estarossa hopped up into the arena. His eyes immediately set on Howzer who already was standing on the other side. The two began to make slow steps towards each other, both enlivened by the others' clear confidence. "So, there's something I've been wanting to ask." Howzer first stated. "Yeah? Go ahead."
"You and some of your crew over there far exceed what I was expecting. I don't think I'm over exaggerating when I say you guys clearly pack more than a punch. So tell me..."
Estarossa's eyebrows raised. "Does he know...?" He thought. If Howzer's next question was "Are you guys Ten Commandments?", everything was going to get messy...
"Are you guys Holy Knights?"
Estarossa sighed in relief. However, now he needed to work this out. "Uh...Yeah, yeah. We've been holy knights for a while now. Like a long time." He said, keeping his cool. "Ah, knew it! What are your ranks?"
Estarossa froze. He had barely ever paid attention to any talks of Holy Knights ranks. He had to think of something fast or suspicion may rise. He then thought to his days in Baste Prison...somethings about rubies, sapphires, and crystals.
"...Crystals. All Crystal rank."
Perfect. Crystals sound fine enough, not too high lbut not too low.
"Oh wow, that low, huh?"
"Wha...How low is it?!" Estarossa blurted out with quick frustration. "That's barely above Apprentice Holy Knights. I figured you guys would been Platinum or Diamond rank like me." Howzer explained, raising an eyebrow. "Figures..." The Commandment of Love sighed.
"Anyways, I saw you out there. You were walking all over these guys, practically unstoppable. To be honest, I'm excited." Howzer exclaimed, cracking his knuckles. "Ah, is that so? Well, so am I." Estarossa replied, cracking his neck.
The other commandments listened to their banter.
"Why are they talking about rocks?" Drole asked dimwittingly. "Not rocks, ranks. From what I can hear, Howzer seems to have recognized that we're Holy Knights." Zeldris explained. "Heh, like we're on the same level as them." Gloxinia muttered to himself. Elizabeth's head jolted over to Zeldris. "Wait, you're Holy Knights?" Elizabeth asked in shock.
"Well...In a way, yes." Melascula replied; "When we began living in Liones, we were more or less just going on our own business but then, he had a vision with his magical power."
"He then sought to bring us to him. Each of us were explained by him by how he saw all of the group standing above the darkest of enemies, then receiving an instant offer to join the Holy Knights. With all that he said, we didn't really have any other choice but to accept." Zeldris then added. "I see..." Elizabeth said, then looking back to the fight with Estarossa and Howzer. "How powerful would the other man be with him being a diamond rank?"
"Very. It means he's almost as skilled as a vice or assistant grandmaster, just a rank below cardinal." Gloxinia stated. "No kidding? Wow! He must be stronger than that woman we fought." Drole exclaimed.
"On the left corner, at one hundred and seventy six pounds and directly six feet tall, Howzer! And on the right, six foot six and two hundred and nine pounds, Rosetta!"
Some of the crowd cheered. Perhaps he had also left an impression on some of the crowd like Zeldris had.
Howzer's eyebrows rose. "Two hundred pounds?! Damn, those are some serious muscles you have if you're that heavy." Howzer said, impressed. Estarossa simply laughed. "Hah, I guess you could say that. Now then, let's say we give each other a pounding?"
Howzer's face drooped with disbelief. "Was that a pun?" "Was it? Heh, I make so many up, it's natural instinct at this point." Estarossa lightly explained. "You're...quite different from the average Holy Knight, aren't you?"
Estarossa shrugged. "I get that question in a lot of various ways."
"I can imagine." Howzer said. Slight wind began flowing through Estarossa's hair. His eyes crept up to the sky. It was a clear sunny day. No sign of a storm anywhere. "That's odd..."
He looked back to Howzer. "What in the...?"
Spiraling around his knuckle was a tornado, blowing sharp wind. "Let's see what you're made of." Howzer exclaimed. He stepped forward and threw a punch. Estarossa instinctively leaned back to dodge; however, he was confused. Howzer's punch was so far off, it would've impossible to NOT dodge!
WHOOOOM! He felt a surge of wind mixed with magical energy than rising from the ground. He was caught in a newly formed tornado!
"Rising Tornado!"
Howzer's smile grew bigger. "Rosetta" had fallen into his trap! Hopefully, the wind would carry the man away, sending him flying right off the stage!
Dust was flying everywhere, getting in his eyes. "Gah..." He huffed. His eyes squinted, trying to keep his vision clear. He couldn't stay in that spot for any longer or Howzer could gain the upper hand.
He quickly dashed to the side to escape. His feet than became steady. With hefty force, he lunged forward. He threw a punch...that Howzer easily dodged. However, Howzer then struck Estarossa in the jaw. "Ah, come on..." Estarossa complained, throwing a few more punches to try and hit Howzer but his vision was too blurry.
The other commandments watched with wide eyes. "What's going on with "Rosetta?" Drole asked, his fists clenching.
Gloxinia pondered on just that for a second. "Ah, I see. He's going for an all around approach. Using his magic to blow dust and dirt around to mess with "Rosetta"'s vision and taking the opportunities to land hits. Not a bad strategy." He examined.
Melascula put two fingers to her lip. She couldn't take her eyes off the fight, even for a second. Zeldris however was slightly caught off guard by Howzer. If what Gloxinia had suggested was true, than Estarossa's going to have to catch him off his feet in order to defeat him.
Estarossa stuck to throwing punches, hoping that one would at least land against the Holy Knight. Howzer still had the upper hand. He jumped back and waved his arms in a downward direction. "Whirl Shock!"
The air now manifested into a circular motion, the wind taking shape. It than zoomed towards Estarossa and slammed against him!
Some of the crowd behind him had been knocked down by the blowing wind, it was beyond fierce...but even then, Estarossa didn't even move an inch. For those few seconds, he took the opportunity to finally get the dust and dirt out of his eyes. "Finally, eye can see again!"
"Dang, really thought I'd get you with one." Howzer sighed. "Heh. You may have thrown me off balance but you're going to have to hit harder than that!" Estarossa proclaimed. Howzer's confident look returned. "Oh yeah?"
Estarossa knew exactly what that look implied and prepared himself for any surprise tornados...but it was useless! Howzer slammed in his arms into the arena ground, causing his tornado magic to begin form with wind blow the most intense yet.
A massive tornado had then surrounded the battleground, Estarossa trapped right in the middle! "Not this again..." Estarossa murmured, this time covering his face with his arms. "This...is the biggest storm I can muster! Super Cyclone!"
The audience watched with shocked anticipation. "That thing's almost half my true size!" Drole exclaimed. His cloak started to blow away so he immediately tried to keep himself covered.
Melascula looked down to Elizabeth, the wind was hitting her pretty hard. She moved her hand up to act as her barrier. "Oh...Th...Thank you..." Elizabeth sighed, putting her hair back down. Melascula then focused back on the sight before her.
"Th-That couldn't send "Rosetta" flying, could it?" She asked worryingly. "That's not what Howzer's going for." Zeldris answered; "If he can't physically defeat "Rosetta", than he'll have to force him out like how Taizoo tried for me. However, it's clear Howzer definitely would've defeated Taizoo with ease..."
Estarossa, with all that he could, looked around. No luck. Howzer was nowhere in sight, only the tornado. He couldn't see anything...
...which means Howzer couldn't see him either!
Estarossa's eyes shot open with his realization. Howzer just gave him the advantage he needed, but how was he going to use it? He couldn't see his opponent either. The only thing that could help him was sound, Howzer's voice could lead the Commandment right to him...
Howzer stood outside the tornado. "You're a cool guy, Rosetta but let's end this." He said, holding his hands forward. The tornado began moving backwards, getting closer and closer to the edge of the arena...
"Aaaahh!" He heard from inside the tornado. His feet stopped. WOOSH! He could see what could guess was Rosetta's blue coat flying around through the tornado. "Wha...It actually was enough to send you soaring?!" He called out.
Howzer and the audience's gaze turned to the same sight, their eyes hooked on the blue coat, the same item connecting the dots. Rosetta had truly fallen victim to the storm!
"Hm...Well then, that was actually easier than I thought it would be. I thought I'd truly have to test my limits against you." Howzer sighed. "I wish you put up more of a fight tho..."
"Your wish is granted."
WHAM! Estarossa's hand bursted from the storm and punched Howzer straight in the stomach. The impact caused a huge explosion of air, dissipating the tornado entirely. The blue coat had been now revealed to have been taken off, used as a distraction!
Most of the audience audibly gasped, not expecting the play.
Howzer, however, gasped for air. The punch had hit harder than anyone had ever given him before. His knees gave out as he fell forward into Estarossa's arms.
"You alright?" Estarossa asked. "Yeah. You just knocked the wind out of me, that's all..."
Estarossa's eyebrows rose. A large smile forming as he broke into laughter. "That was awful." He choked. "I know." Howzer admitted.
"Howzer is unable to fight! Our winner is Rosetta!" The referee called out. The audience cheered!
"Well, that settles it. Can you stand?" Estarossa asked. Howzer took a second, gaining control of his breathing as he stood straight. "Yeah. Enjoy this victory, you earned it." He then exclaimed. He held his knuckle forward for a final fistbump. Estarossa accepted.
The two then made their way off the arena; Estarossa went towards the Commandments, grabbing his coat along the way and Howzer went the opposite way.
"That was great!" Drole exclaimed. "Thanks." Estarossa replied. He then held out a fist for Zeldris. Zeldris lightly hopped and returned it with a bump. Melascula gave a few timid claps, wanting to show a cheer but not wanting to go overboard with it. Elizabeth did the same but more straightforward. Estarossa still took it all the same.
"So what'd you think?" He asked the Commandment of Faith. Melascula blushed lightly. "It... It was a well done plan you pulled." She stuttered. "Glad to hear it." Estarossa replied.
"She does bring up a good point. When were you the one to pull mind games?" Gloxinia asked, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Heh, I don't know." Estarossa said, lightly looking back to the fairy; "When were you the one to not go down after one hit?"
Gloxinia's teeth grinded. "He hit hard and I'm not that weak, you cocky bastard..." He muttered bitterly. Estarossa chuckled. "Just messing with you, buddy."
"Whatever." Gloxinia huffed.
"So what now? Who do you think is up next?" Drole asked, noticeably excited. "Be patient, "Dolor". They'll probably call up the next match in a few minutes or so." Gloxinia explained.
"Well...I doubt the next round will include "Rosetta" since he just finished his own match so there's six possible matches." Melascula commented, pondering on the possibilities; "I'm just wondering how Mr. Cain is going to fare."
Howzer hopped off the arena with a sigh. Defeat almost hit as hard as that punch. He couldn't believe that he fell for that old trick. "Really though..." He muttered, looking over to "Rosetta" and his group. "Those guys really couldn't truly be Crystal Ranked Holy Knights."
"Howzer." He heard behind him.
He turned to see two familiar people. "Griamore? Princess Veronica?!"
"I assume a fight just finished?" Veronica asked. "Yeah. That big guy back just thrashed me." Howzer answered, lightly pointing to Estarossa with his thumb; "More Holy Knights showed up than I thought there would. He said he and his friends were Crystal Rank but the way he hits, he could give Grandmaster Hendrickson and Dreyfus a run for their money."
Veronica and Griamore took a good look at the group, mainly at Zeldris. "Short with black hair, a fit and strong body..." Griamore examined. "That's definitely who that man described." Veronica stated.
"What are you guys talking about?" Howzer asked, completely confused.
"Howzer, did you happen to see Elizabeth anywhere around here?" Veronica asked in return. "Princess Elizabeth? She's here?"
"Princess Veronica is on a search for her. Before we headed out, Grandmaster Hendrickson made us of her becoming associated with the Ten Commandments." Griamore explained. Things immediately started to click for Howzer.
"You don't mean those guys are..." He murmured, directly looking back at the Commandments.
"Yes. The shorty is Zeldris of Piety and it's safe to assume the rest are Commandments as well." Veronica told, crossing her arms. "That explains some of their strength..." Howzer muttered. So the Commandments were here, but where's Elizabeth then?
"Now that we've told you this, don't start causing a commotion until we find Elizabeth. Once she's safe, The Commandments can be dealt with when some other knights arrive." Veronica ordered.
"Oh, I won't be causing anything." Howzer stated, a smirk forming. "Howzer, what are you planning?" Griamore asked, keeping a stern look.
"Nothing at all. This is probably the only time I'll see such legends in action and one just kicked my ass. I definitely gonna watch the rest of this!" Howzer exclaimed; "Although, best to luck with looking for Elizabeth."
"Thanks...I guess." Veronica sighed, then signaling Griamore to follow her. The two made their way away from the arena.
The disappointment Howzer felt earlier was all but gone. Now he felt nothing but excitement.
"The Ten Commandments...never thought I'd meet them personally! Let's see what they're capable of when fighting each other!"
