A/n i'm so sorry it's taken me so long i never get a quiet minute anymore. My sister and her kids spend every waking minute with me now. But i'll have weekends off now so i hope to update on the weekends for those still interested.
Callie woke up bright and early one sunday morning. Two weeks after she last visited Arizona and she was going nuts. She wanted to see her beautiful girlfriend. But she had been swamped with work and she wasn't seeing her this weekend because the blonds family was intown.
Arizona was having fun with her parents but she missed her ravens haired beauty. She knew it had only been two weeks but she was going crazy especially knowing that it would probably be at least a week before she saw her again. So she opened her phone and sent a quick text.
Arizona
I miss you
Callie
I miss you too
Arizona's phone chimed almost immediately.
Arizona
I wish you were here… In bed… Naked ;)
Callie
Oh yah you do?
Arizona was about to respond to Callie when her mom walked in on her,
"Hunny, want some pancakes?" the older dimpled lady smiled at her daughter.
"Yeah mom i'll be right down" the younger woman groaned inwardly she wanted to stay in bed all day texting Callie nevertheless she hadn't seen her parents since she moved here which felt like six months ago. So she got up after sending Callie one more text.
Arizona
Oh yes i have some ideas for you :P however breakfast calls.
Arizona stolled downstairs with a giant smile plastered all over her face. Knowingh her dimples popped out because they kind of hurt from the depth of her smile.
"What's got my little girl all smiles this morning" chuckled the colonial.
" I bet it's that new lady she was telling me about last sunday." pipped in her mother.
"I don't know what either of you are talking about.'' Arizona feigned ignorance like her mother wasn't spot on.
"Me and your dad were talking this morning and we would like to meet this Calliope." her mother informed her.
"Yes, invite her out to lunch with us, my treat" her father ordered.
"You guys sure, it's very soon in our relationship. We just decided to be girlfriends not that long ago."
"Yes hunny, who knows when we will be back we want to meet her." her mother spoke softly.
"Alright!" Arizona threw her hands up laughing. " I'll text her and see if she is free.
Arizona
Are you free for lunch with me and my parents?
Arizona got straight to the point.
Callie
Um yah i am free.
Arizona informed her parents she was free to join them for lunch. They made plans on when and where while eating breakfast. Arizona texted Callie the details. After breakfast was all cleaned up she went upstairs to take a shower. She was so nervous that her parents wouldn't like Callie. That's all she could think about in the shower. It must have taken her an extra 25 minutes to get through her normal routine.
On the other side of town, Callie was also a nervous wreck. She never made good first impressions on the parents. But she really wanted them to like her. Because truthfully she was falling head over heels in love with Arizona. Though she knew it was too soon to say it. She felt it.
Callie grabbed a quick shower then stood in just a towel for 30 minutes picking out an outfit. Finally landing on a black button down blouse and a black pencil skirt. She got in her car and drove to the same dinner where she and Arizona had just had their date a few weeks ago. Thinking back fondly on it.
Callie got there first, that made her feel relieved. So she parked the car and sat on the bench out front of the little diner and waited. It wasn't but about 3 or 4 minutes before she saw an unknown vehicle pull into the parking lot and out stepped Arizona and two older people. One was the spitting image of Arizona just aged 20 years. The other was a very established looking man. Sharp dressed man with an army hat on.
.
Arizona and her parents strolled up to Callie, her mom nudging Arizona a few times. She whispered to Arizona "what a looker."
"Hey babe" Callie leaned in for a modest hug in front of the parents.
Arizona was slightly disappointed she didn't get a kiss but she was happy for any contact.
"Hey baby, this is my mother, Barba, and my dad, Colonel daniel robbins."
"Please to meet you both" Callie stuck her hand out and gave the only gentleman a firm handshake . She went to give Barbara a handshake but the older woman just pulled Callie in for a hug.
"Sorry moms a hugger" the younger blonde chuckled at the surprised look on Callies face.
They all headed into the diner. The colonel removed his hat. As he walked through the door. The hostess sat them down at a little booth in the middle of the dinner that was a fairly empty diner.
"So Callie tell us about yourself, Arizonas told us some but we want to hear from you."
