The morning sun streams through the windows in Josh's study and its warmth is nothing compared to the heat that Josh's anger radiates.

Bella and Mackenzie are standing across from him, Josh leaning on his hands on his desk, and even from that distance they can feel the anger rolling off from his body.

-"He did what?" - There's a silent rage behind his words.

-"Exactly what we just told you. Josh, please send him home. I don't feel safe with Alexander in the Castle."

-"I would rather send him to the dungeons, but I'll send him home immediately. Unless you would prefer he sees the dungeons for himself."

-"Sending him home is enough, mostly because I know you have been friends for years. Although, I'm sure Jared would get a kick out of having Alexander in the dungeons."

-"Can't argue with you there. But if sending him home is enough for you, then I'll send him home."

-"There's something else you should know." - Mackenzie says.

-"Now what?"

-"You know how Alexander has that new scar on his face?"

-"Yes, he supposedly got it while out riding." - Josh makes a face that shows that not even he bought that excuse.

-"Well, if you wanna call me slapping him with an upside down ring and scaring him, a low branch, then sure we'll go with that."

-"You could've at least tried not to leave a mark, Kenzie." - He shakes his head at his sister in amusement.

-"Where's the fun in that?" - Mackenzie smirks, which makes Bella chuckle. -"Look, I just thought you should know just in case he decides to use it in whatever way against us."

-"I'll deal with Alexander and whatever crap he might try to pull. Is there anything else you two might want to tell me?" - Both women shake their heads. -"I'll take care of this. You two should've come to me sooner, but I get why you didn't."

-"Josh, thank you. Really."

Bella and Mackenzie excuse themselves and leave the study, closing the door silently behind them. As they leave, Josh thinks that he needs to deal with this and fast, before Alexander does something that Josh can't fix.
