-"Was this your idea?" - Bella enters Mackenzie's room, finding the younger woman sitting at her desk going through some papers.
-"What?"
-"My diplomatic mission to Henry's Kingdom. Was it your idea?"
-"I had nothing to do with that. I didn't even knew."
-"You had to know, Mackenzie. I'm your advisor, Josh wouldn't send me away without your knowledge."
-"Bella, I swear I didn't know, Josh never spoke with me about it. If I had known, I would've told you myself."
-"What am I supposed to do?" - She lets out a breath as she sits on a couch. -"How am I supposed to face Henry after how we left things?"
-"Maybe this isn't a bad thing." - Mackenzie sits next to her. -"Maybe it will give the two of you the chance to get things straighten out."
-"I very much doubt he will want to straighten anything out, seeing how he left."
-"Have you stopped to think that maybe he thinks you're the one that is mad at him for the way he left, while you're here thinking that he's the one mad for what happened between you two? This might be a good opportunity to clear things up."
-"Maybe you're right. I can try and talk to him, if he'll be willing to listen. And maybe with Alexis there, things just might be a bit easier."
-"You're taking Alexis with you?"
-"I mean, I haven't spoken with her about it, but, knowing my daughter, she will want to go."
-"I think that having Alexis there will certainly help. Henry is very fond of her, and I know the reverse is also true."
-"Perhaps. We'll see."
Bella stands up and thanks Mackenzie, before leaving to search for Alexis.
As she leaves the room, she isn't as sure as Mackenzie is that Henry will be willing to talk to her, not after all that has happened and the time that has passed, however she is willing to give it a chance. Maybe he'll surprise her and actually listen to what she has to tell him, but even if he doesn't, at least Bella can say that she tried.
