Henry rides with Josh and Jared, each man on one side of him, his army at his back, on their way to meet with Josh's army near the border with Logan's Kingdom.
It's a matter of time before they intercept the messenger carrying Logan's answer to Josh's declaration of war and he hopes the man carries more that just Logan's answer. He can only hope that it's not too late and there's still enough time to save Bella.
One look at Henry and it doesn't take much guessing to know what he is thinking about. It's the same that's been on Josh's mind ever since he left his own Kingdom and he knows that no amount of prayers and wishes will give them what they need more than anything else: time.
-"She will be okay."
-"I know. I'm just praying it isn't too late." - Henry doesn't look at him.
-"I know Logan. If Bella was… gone, we would've known by now. Logan will want to make a statement out of it. He considers Bella a traitor, so he will want to make an example out of her. That gives us time."
-"I hope you're right."
-"We will get Bella back. She is a fighter and she knows we're coming for her. She will do whatever she can to give us time so you can get to her. As long as she knows you're coming, she will fight. For herself, for Alexis… For you. She will fight."
Henry doesn't answer, but he nods at him. He knows Bella is a fighter, he has seen that much from her, but he will pray to whatever God might be willing to hear him that he isn't too late.
