The next morning, Logan's Castle is a flurry of activity. Visiting Nobles prepare to leave before the war starts and they are forced to stay in the Castle, soldiers prepare their weapons and packs before being sent to the war camp, and supplies are gathered and divided between the Castle and the wagons that will go for the war camp.

Meanwhile, Logan is in his study, going over his battle plans with his Commander, when Amara storms in.

-"We need to talk. Privately."

-"Not now."

-"You need to talk to me. Now!" - Anger is clear in her voice.

-"What can be so important that it couldn't wait for the end of my meeting?" - He asks after dismissing the Commander.

-"The safety of your child is more important than any meeting."

-"What do you mean?" - He lets out a frustrated sigh.

-"What do you plan to do to keep Ethan safe?"

-"What I'm already doing, keeping Ethan in the Castle and heavily guarded wherever he goes."

-"That's not enough. As long as Arabella is alive, Ethan will always be in danger. You need to execute her and do it quickly. I will speak with the executioner to have everything ready to execute her come morning."

Logan slams his fist on the table, startling Amara, and looks at her with absolute rage in his eyes.

-"You will do no such thing. Bella will die by my hand and in a very public way, as a reminder that I am not to be messed with."

-"Remind who? Your people or Josh?" - She scorns.

-"What I do with Arabella's life is none of your concern. You should be focusing on having everything ready for when we leave, instead of Arabella."

-"Leave? To where?"

-"You and Ethan will be coming with me to the war camp. I want Ethan to see all that war entails, as well as be there for Arabella's execution."

-"If you think for a goddamned moment that I will allow Ethan to go anywhere near that war camp, you are sadly mistaken."

-"You don't allow anything. Ethan is my heir and the future King, therefore this is part of his education as such. You have no vote in the matter." - His voice has a dangerous tone to it.

-"I'm Ethan's mother and I won't allow it."

-"And I'm the King and if I say my son is going, then he is going. Now leave. I have more important things to do. Commander!"

The Commander walks into the study again and past Amara, towards the table where Logan is. Amara gives her husband one last look, rage burning deep inside her. She knows whose to blame here and she is about to go and give them a piece of her mind.
