Amara wishes she could be anywhere but sitting at dinner with Logan and Lord Roberts. But for the sake of appearances, she needs to be there. No one knows about Ethan yet and if she plays her cards right, no one will until it's too late.
-"Where's Ethan?" - Logan looks at her, taking a bite of his food.
-"He wasn't hungry and asked if he could stay in his room to study warfare books. I agreed since it will prepare him for what he is to see at the war camp."
-"I'm happy you have changed your mind." - He smiles at her.
-"You were right. It is part of Ethan's education and if he is going to be a great King like his father, then he needs to learn." - She smiles back at him, before turning to Alexander. -"Are you enjoying your stay, Lord Roberts?"
-"I am, Your Majesty. Thank you for the hospitality." - Alexander smiles at her before turning to Logan. -"I was wondering if I could visit Arabella before we go to the camp, Your Majesty?"
-"If you don't mind, Lord Roberts, I would rather leave it as a surprise for when we are at the war camp. I'm sure you can understand. I don't want my daughter spoiling our plans before the time comes for them to be revealed."
-"You're planning to bring Arabella with us to the war camp?" - Amara is surprised. This can be a good thing.
-"That's where the wedding will be, in front of everyone, specially Josh." - A wide smile graces his features and it almost sickens Amara.
-"Josh will never see it coming, Your Majesty. And once we are married there won't be much that he can do about it." - Alexander gloats.
-"You're right."
Amara nods and takes a bite from her food, tuning out the conversation between the two men, that has now veered into war affairs.
She needs to let Josh know about their plans, but isn't sure if she should tell Bella first so she can write the letter or maybe write the letter herself and hope that Josh will heed to her warning.
Amara decides to take a chance and write the letter herself, after all, Ethan is there and by now Josh should know that Amara wouldn't risk endangering her son while he is with him.
