Background of the Confederacy of Human Worlds:
The Confederacy of Human Worlds is a state founded by a number of advanced human interstellar nations in the wake of the ongoing Covenant-Goa'uld War. While limited in numbers, the Confederacy possesses advanced technological capabilities that allow them to defend themselves against the much larger states that dominate the Milky Way Galaxy.
The Confederacy was first formed between the Tollans and the people of another planet within the same solar system. The Tollans have been a space faring race for several centuries and had already become aware of the people living on their sister planet of Ceipra (NON-CANON) but had decided to hold off contact until their neighbors had achieved space flight. This plan was cut short however when a rogue Kig-yar pirate ship entered the system and attacked the planet. The planet's inhabitants were overwhelmed by superior technology and would have likely fallen had the Tollan not come to their aid and destroyed the pirate vessel.
After accessing the ship's database, the Tollans learned much about the geo-political situation of the wider galaxy and shared this knowledge with the Ceiprans. The Ceiprans had been badly damaged by the attack but, with the help of the Tollans, were able to reconstruct their planet and unify under a single planetary government. The two governments then went on to form the Confederacy and have since gathered allies from other advanced human worlds.
Other human peoples that are part of the confederacy besides the Tollans and the Ceiprans include the Zigarans and the Orbanians, who both have fought with the Goa'uld to maintain their independence.
