Two guards approach Bella's cage and simply by looking at the shackles that one of them is carrying, Bella already knows she is about to be moved somewhere else.

The men open the cage and help her out, placing the shackles around her wrists, before leading her through the camp. She walks at a slow pace, looking around for a way out, thinking that even with the shackles around her wrists she can still run. Yet, everywhere she looks is crawling with soldiers, not giving her any openings so she can at least reach the woods that surround that side of the open battlefield.

They reach a tent and Bella is taken inside, Amara there waiting for her. She hears Amara telling them to remove the shackles, because they are in the way. "In the way of what?", she thinks, as one of the soldiers removes them but warns her that there's no escape possible, before leaving.

Amara waits a few seconds, before turning to Bella, sadness and defeat clear in her eyes.

-"They're right. The tent is surrounded by guards."

-"Are you okay? What happened?"

-"I'm fine." - Amara walks over to a table and pours some water into a glass, giving it to her. -"When Logan went to get Ethan this morning, he found that Ethan was gone. He confronted me in our room, asking what I had done with him and where he was. I told him that I had sent Ethan away to somewhere I knew he would be safe and far from him."

"That enraged your father, who hit me repeatedly and told me that if it wasn't for the fact that everyone was expecting to see the Queen at the war camp, he would kill me then and there, but that accidents happen all the time, specially in a war camp during a battle."

-"You need to leave. Now."

-"I have no hope of leaving this camp alive, not anymore, but just knowing that Ethan will be okay helps me accept my fate."

-"I'll find a way to get you to Ethan, no matter what."

-"Thank you, but right now we have bigger things to worry about."

-"What'd you mean?"

Amara signals for Bella to follow her, leading her to the back of tent. Bella pushes past the light curtain and that's when she sees it. Laying on the bed across from her is the last dress she ever thought she would ever see again: her mother's wedding dress. Bella gasps at the sight.

-"Logan had the Royal Seamstresses adjust the dress to your measurements." - There's sadness in her voice. -"When I saw the dress and Logan told me who it belonged to, I begged him not to do this. Not to force you to wear it, but he didn't care."

-"I won't wear it." - Bella chokes up on the words.

-"You don't have a choice."

-"I won't defile my mother's memory like this." - There's tears in her eyes as she looks back at Amara, the woman holding her hand in comfort.

-"I understand, believe me, I do, but if you won't put the dress on, he will force you into it."

-"Please, don't make me do this."

-"I'm so sorry, but you have to do this."

Amara's heart breaks seeing Bella like this. The young woman doesn't deserve to be forced to do this, no matter what her father might believe she did. Amara sees Bella take a deep breath, shaking her head and wiping away the tears, before turning back to her, her eyes still bright with tears.

-"Help me put it on, please."

Amara just nods and moves to help her get undressed, the sadness in Bella's eyes mirroring the one in her own.
