The last few weeks have been a nightmare for Henry. Being forced to return to his Kingdom, Henry had to make sure any injured soldiers were properly treated, that supplies arrived safely back to the Castle, that the soldiers who had fallen on the battlefield were buried with all the honors they deserved and their families were taken care of. It was a lot of work, but one that he doesn't wish he could delegate to anyone.

He looks over the papers in front of him, his mind wandering over to the woman he left behind without so much as a goodbye, not wanting to make an already difficult situation even worse.

Henry hears a soldier entering his study, but his eyes never leave the paper in his hand.

-"What is it?"

-"Your Majesty, a caravan is approaching. It flies banners from both the Tidaholm and the Ethil Kingdoms."

-"What?" - Henry now looks at the soldier, confused.

-"They should be arriving in the Courtyard within the next few minutes."

-"Thank you."

Henry stands and follows the soldier out of his study and all the way down to the Courtyard. To say he is confused is putting it mildly, considering that neither Josh nor Amara have written to tell him they were sending delegations, and for them to arrive at the same time, it's quite the coincidence. Nonetheless, he needs to greet them. He will worry about why they're there after.

He arrives at the Courtyard at the same time as the caravan and is even more confused when he sees that all the soldiers escorting the caravan belong to Josh's army.

That's when he sees them. Bella and Alexis. His heart almost stops when he sees them climbing down from their horses and retrieving two boxes the horses had been carrying. He almost runs to them, but seeing how official they are acting, he remains at the bottom of the steps, waiting for them, a smile on all their faces.

Henry watches as Alexis walks up to him first, one of the boxes in her hands.

-"King Cavill, in the name of King Josh Ackles, I am here to deliver the first delivery of supplies promised in the alliance, as well as a flower that is unique to the Tidaholm Kingdom." - She smiles brightly at him, giving him the box and stepping back.

-"Thank you, Princess Alexis." - Henry takes the box and hands it to a servant.

-"King Cavill, in the name of King Ethan Williams and his mother, Queen-Mother Amara Williams, I am here with a sincere thank you for all your assistance and with the promise that if the Eldanesh Kingdom ever needs us, Ethil will answer the call of the alliance. I also bring a flower that is unique to the Ethil Kingdom." - Bella hands him the box, his hands brushing over hers as he takes it and hands it off to a servant.

-"Now?"

-"Now."

Henry hears Alexis ask and Bella's laughter when she answers her daughter, and barely has any time to steady himself when the young woman launches herself at him, her arms wrapping around his waist.

He hugs her tight, laughing at Alexis' reaction once the formalities were done, making everyone around them smile. Henry looks at Bella, who is smiling just as brightly, and sees her stepping closer to where he is.

-"We have a lot to talk about."

-"We definitely have."

Henry looks between Bella and Alexis, his heart fuller than it has been in years. He doesn't care that everyone in the Courtyard can see them or what they might be thinking. All he cares about in that moment is that the woman he loves and the girl he already considers his daughter are there.
