Consequences

Bicas T. Balmus, the Leader of the one and true religion, The Three Holy Heroes, is angry.

Initially, the army was sent to search around the mountain to hunt for the Villagers of Mirso, for sake of the righteous path, rumors about the holy cleansing must be silenced until they were ready. Besides, why should they allow such greedy people to exist in this world? They deserve to be cleansed. Meanwhile, Balmus, The Sword Vanguard, Adele, and the holy army rested.

But then, Balmus was informed that the heretic, Misato, is still alive despite the fact the spell, Judgment, was nearly on top of him!

The soldiers who found him tried to kill him, only for the heretic to suddenly wake up, shooting them and creating a carriage out of nowhere, rolling down the mountain.

Hearing this, it confirmed to the Pope that Misato is one of the Seven Star Heroes, likely the Projectile Hero, he must have used the Hero inventory magic to bring a carriage inside. With the information he had, the Pope ordered all the hunting parties to gather and kill Misato, once and for all. He was too much of a threat for the Holy Path.

The heretic was described to be very slippery, using various tricks only a Hero is capable of in theory, however the carriages he brought out seemed to be indestructible, arrows and magic weren't able to damage it. Thankfully the commander who was supervising the hunting army devised a tactic of encasing the carriage in fire to make the heretic suffocate.

Misato still escaped it but was soon overwhelmed by the holy army.

The Pope was observing the burning carriage in the crystal ball projection, he smiled at the sight, knowing that such a disgusting stain in this world will be removed at last. But then the crystal gem on the carriage glowed a bright blue light, nearly blinding him and the connection was lost.

The Mages struggled to regain connection, and a few minutes later, the Mage confirmed that the crystal balls over at the other army must have been destroyed. Balmus sends some Shadows to investigate. Half an hour has passed, no word from the shadows Balmus had sent, but the Pope decided to sleep in his tent for a few hours, and sent a few more Shadows to investigate.

When the Pope awakened, he was given, shocking news…

How could an army of a hundred and thirty lose to a single blasphemous bastard?!

There's only so much that a heretic, hero or not can do against that many alone! Perhaps the Shield Demon had something to do with it… Yes that makes sense, the demon must have gifted his follower incredible endurance.

The Shadows recorded a message from the only survivor and showed it to the Pope within his tent with Lady Adele.

"He's a monster! A Demon! I saw him decimate a squad of our great holy knights. I saw him shattered a knight's armor into a hundred pieces like they were glass, with his BARE HANDS! No matter how many attacks were thrown at him from every angle, we couldn't land a single hit! It was like trying to cut the wind itself!"

The survivor coughed out some blood on his hand.

"And when someone finally did land a hit. He would shrug it off like we merely inconvenience him, he would take damage that would have killed any other man! I swear… I saw him stabbed in the chest, only to just yank the sword out of his chest and slice off the leg of the soldier who stabbed him! It's just like the stories… He's… T-the… The Black Storm, the Shield Demon must had summoned that thing, and-

The delirious survivor coughed a large amount of blood. Splattering the ground and their torn clothing.

"T-the B-black Storm will try to destroy us all… Only his holiness and the Vanguards can stop him… They must…"

The recording stops.

"We tried to save him, but his wounds were too great…" The Shadow explains, kneeling before Balmus and Adele.

"May he receive a great reward for his efforts…" Adele says somberly. Everyone in the tent gives the dead army a moment of silence.

A moment later, the Sword Vanguard turns to the Pope, "What is the Black storm?" Adele questions.

The Pope frowns. "The Black Storm is a myth, a little scary ghost story to scare children to pray to the Shield Demon out of a fear of a little rain and wind in Stilvelt…" The Pope scoffs. "God is on our side… This heretic will be defeated like the rest of the fake Heroes and the Shield Demon." Balmus assures.

"I pray for other vanguards to fare well in cleansing the other false heroes" Adele says, holding a rosary, silenting praying.

Itsuki leaps behind a stone wall, an explosion erupts where he was and dirt flies all over the place. The Bow Hero spits out some of the dirt, he draws his bow and a golden arrow appears. He peeks from behind the wall.

He sees Matilda, fighting off two knights in deceptively light bulky armor, behind her is her niece, Rishia, staring at the fight, frozen in fear. Matilda has the upperhand but with the amount of effort she is exerting to fight two opponents while defending her niece, she's going to tire out soon.

Itsuki leans back, taking a deep breath. He's got to make the shot this time, they need help!

Itsuki leans back out with his bow, firing an arrow.

The golden arrow flies but another golden arrow intercepts, shattering the two projectiles mid air.

Itsuki sees a glint in the corner of his eyes and ducks behind the wall, the stone breaks. A bunch of golden arrows land around the stone wall, preventing him from running out, while more arrows hit the wall, chipping away the stone, removing Itsuki's cover bit by bit.

"Damn it!" The Bow Hero yells in frustration from feeling useless, unable to fire back or even provide cover fire for Matilda and Rishia.

Things went wrong so quickly…

Earlier, Itsuki's new party went to Ivyred territory, to help Matilda's family. Her niece was kidnapped by the neighboring lord.

They quickly rescued Rishia, Itsuki and Matilda went to the prison cells, while the others went to gather evidence of the lord's crimes.

With lord, who looked more like a man baby, a label that he learned from Misato when the Gun Hero described Idol Rabier's appearance, they returned to the Ivyred Village. The villagers, Matilda's sister and brother-in-law, all stood with open arms, cheering at the Bow Hero's successful rescue. The praise felt good, really good, especially from Matilda.

Itsuki then saw a message from Misato, warning that the Church had made their move to remove the Heroes but before he could tell Matilda…

A nearby building exploded in flames, startling everyone, it nearly knocked Itsuki off of his feet.

A rain of golden arrows flies above from the sky, like the skill, Arrow Rain. But he never fired it.

The arrows appeared over everyone, Itsuki quickly used Spread Arrow, intercepting most of them, while the rest he missed stabbed a few, even killing some people.

Suddenly soldiers on horseback were wearing the Three Heroes Church rosary and a flag charged with a cry. "Purge the filth!"

Itsuki quickly shot most of them while the human knight, Friedrich, took down the horses, and Evelyn, the bunny daughter of the mother, Itsuki failed to save, took out the fallen soldiers with her knife.

The twin lizard demi-humans, the spear man, Noah, and the swordsman Albert, helped the villagers get inside their houses while fending off some of the stragglers aiming to sneak around to murder everyone.

Itsuki struggled trying to find the sniper, while intercepting the seemingly endless arrows coming on everyone, trying to protect them.

Rishia quickly called out where the arrows were coming from. Itsuki quickly saw a group on the peak of a hill nearby the village. Itsuki tried to shoot but the sniper intercepted his shots.

The sniper is even stopping him from taking out the enemy reinforcements coming to them.

"Who is this guy?" Itsuki wonders, unable to even fire back effectively. His eyes widened.

Could he be the replica wielder? Like what Misato said in the anime he watched? But…

Itsuki squints.

The sniper doesn't look like the Pope though…

"AHHH!" Someone screeches.

A nearby building breaks apart. A chill waves over Itsuki's entire body, his blood turns cold.

No…

Itsuki turns to the destroyed building, and a puddle of blood streams from beneath the wood and stone.

Damn it…

Itsuki slams his fist on the ground.

NOT AGAIN!

THESE BASTARD WILL PAY!

Itsuki roars, leaning back out of his cover, raising the Siderite Rifle he copied from Misato.

Boom!

The bullet flies, piercing through the sniper's arrows.

Itsuki grins, he's going to hit!

But a barrier appears, taking the hit, the bullet and the barrier shatter.

NO!

"Lord Itsuki, above you!" Rishia yells, tackling Itsuki into a nearby tree.

A group of golden arrows pierce the ground where they were. Itsuki gasps and turns to Rishia.

"Th…T-thanks…" Itsuki says.

"Y-you a-aren't hurt, are you?" Rishia asks, staring directly into Itsuki's eyes. Back then when they first met, Rishia had issues looking or talking to Itsuki, but now she's not.

Itsuki looks at his health, which is still maximum. "No, I'm not."

"Good." Rishia says with a smile of relief, stunning Itsuki at the personality flip.

"Rishia, Itsuki! Are you two alright?" Matilda says, running over. There's a small cut on her forearm, a bruise on her cheek and mud on her clothing.

"Yes we are!" Rishia reassures her aunt.

"But we're losing" Itsuki grits his teeth and fist. "I can't land a damn shot on that sniper there, any shot I fire, the bastard intercepts. I can't even help you fight these fanatics!" He says, staring at everyone else fighting the soldiers and knights, they are managing for now.

"That is a problem…" Matilda mutters. "We're going to run out of stamina soon…"

A building explodes.

"Oh no!" Rishia yells, her home is being destroyed! Matilda grits her teeth in anger.

Itsuki growls. Come on, think! What would Misato do?

"Enemy shadows!" Matilda yells out, throwing her knife, Itsuki draws his bow, seeing the enemy shadow block the knife with their own while the other throws knives back at them.

Itsuki fires at the knives, intercepting them mid air, but something breaks through the energy arrow. It doesn't look like a knife though, it's like a disc. He raises his bow to block the projectile.

"NO!" A familiar boy's voice screeches and a red and black blur appears right in front of him.

Itsuki sees a boy with red and black hair, with the same-colored wings, catching the disc with two hands.

Ace?

The filolial boy tumbles on the ground. "Got it!" Ace says with a smile, he looks at the Bow Hero "This bad thing will make the hero weapon not work! Be careful." He says holding up the small disc.

"If you're here then…" Matilda mutters.

"Misato is here too, right?!" Itsuki cheers. With Misato, they can fight together!

Ace frowns.

"What's wrong?" Itsuki asks, why is Ace frowning?

"Big bro is not here…"

"What! Where!?" Itsuki questions, his stomach plummets from the news

"Talk later! Need to fight bad guys and save everyone!" Ace says, transforming to his royal filolial form. "High quick!" Ace yells out, running up to a knight, kicking him right between the legs, and launches the knight over the building.

Itsuki frowns and checks on the sniper. Only to see the sniper being attacked by a black and blue figure with a sword, slashing at the magic barriers, dodging the arrows.

"Who is that?" Rishia asks, peeking out of the tree.

"That's… Ren!" Itsuki realizes, seeing the blue gem on the sword glint from the sunlight.

"Who?" Rishia questions

"The Sword Hero." Matilda answers.

"Fueeh?!"

Itsuki's eyes narrowed, seeing Ren is being pushed back, he turns to Matilda and Rishia. "I'm going to help Ren!"

"Go! We'll handle things here!" Matilda says and Itsuki nods, he runs to help the Sword Hero.

Ren transforms his long sword into a great sword, blocking the golden energy arrow. But the force is too great, it pushes him onto his back, and he rolls on the ground.

He looks up to see the Bow knight with an arrow drawn back on the gold and silver bow.

"Shit."

A blue light with stars trailing behind it whistles past Ren.

The Bow Knight fires but the blue light breaks through the arrow, slamming into the magic barrier.

"A hundred swords!" Ren yells and the blue swords fly towards the bow knight's barrier, weakening them.

Meteor Arrow breaks through the barriers but the knight dives to the side and the mages behind the knight cry out from the shot.

The Sword Hero turns to see Itsuki running up to him. "Itsuki!" He says in slight relief.

"Ren, what are you doing here and where is Misato?" Itsuki asks.

"Long story… I met Misato, we were ambushed and separated. Right now, we need to regroup with the other heroes and save as many as we can!" Ren commands. "Sadeena and the other girls are fighting to find the mages chanting the jamming spell, once it's gone, we should teleport out of here with the villagers! You have the safe area marked!"

"Good idea… I need to invite everyone first, let's head- Look out!" Itsuki yells leaping back, Ren does the same and an arrow fly past them, breaking the dirt.

"Looks like we're going to have to fight first…" Itsuki says, glaring at the recovered Bow Knight. "Who is this guy, is he the Pope?" He remembered Misato's warnings of the Church having the Replica weapon, and that the Pope is likely to use it once the Heroes are out of his control.

"No, he's likely the Bow Vanguard…"

"Correct." The Archer confirms. "I am Anselm Himmel. The Bow Vanguard of our one and only true god in this world."

"A Replica Wielder for the Bow specifically." Ren clarifies. "The Church has more than one Replica weapon, I faced the Sword Vanguard and nearly died, were it not for Misato and his team…"

"You should have accepted death from Lady Adele's blade, for your treachery against humanity." The Bow vanguard growls.

"And you wanted to capture an innocent girl and kill her adopted father…" Ren comments, glaring at the archer.

"That thing with rare dragon magic could not be allowed to roam free." The Archer points at Itsuki. "And for you to take the Bow, is injustice to the Real Bow Heroes."

"I can say the same to you…" Itsuki growls. "Your followers made innocent people suffer… I couldn't allow that!"

"Careful Itsuki, he likely has the same Bow skills you do…" Ren cautions, raising the Legendary Sword, with the blue gemstone glowing bright.

"Damn." Itsuki says, raising the Legendary Bow, with the yellow gemstone glowing just as bright as the Sword.

The Bow and Sword Heroes, united against a foe who denies their Heroism…

Meanwhile, Lerno village is covered in flames, a man falls on his back raising a hand, begging for mercy but the knight raises their sword, killing the poor man.

At the center of the village is Motoyasu fighting a Spear wielding knight, their armor is different from the others, more intricately designed with a symbol of a spear on their shoulders and chest.

"Why are you doing this?! Why are you killing these innocent people?! They are humans!" Motoyasu yells in rage and confusion. Naofumi did warn him of the church, that they are racist, but Lerno village is filled with humans, why would they attack their fellow humans?

"Because they are all heretics!" The Spear wielding knight yells. "They all welcomed the Shield Demon and the Fake Spear Hero, accepting their lies and going against humanity! Such filth cannot spread!"

"F-Filth?! Fake?! I AM the Spear Hero, and you are a sick murderer! Chaos Spear!" Motoyasu roars, thrusting his spear, the knight responds in kind, his spear glows, transforming to a halberd.

"State of Selflessness"

Motoyasu rapidly attacks, but the knight blocks it all. Then the Spear Hero is suddenly pushed on to his back with a cry, energy spears hitting his body.

"Motoyasu!" Rino yells before screeching as a soldier swings, barely missing her. She launches a fire ball hitting the soldier back.

"If you were truly the Spear Hero, then you would not be on your knees!" The knight exclaims. "The Real Spear Hero would never work with the Shield Demon!"

Motoyasu glares as he stands up, using the Spear to support him. "Who the hell are you!?" He asks, glaring at the self-righteous bastard. Who does this murderer think he is? Calling him Fake and Naofumi-san a demon of all things?

"I am Rainart Lestung! The Spear Vanguard for our one and only true god in this world!" The Spear Vanguard yells, transforming their halberd to a lance and it glows.

"Broniac!"

A beam of blazing white light shoots towards Motoyasu. He tries to move but winces from the pain and he stares at the light.

He can't dodge!

"Airstrike Shield!"

A green transparent shield appears before Motoyasu, protecting him but it cracks and shatters to pieces. A figure in a green cloak leaps between Motoyasu and Broniac. The two clash and a dust cloud burst.

Motoyasu rubs his eyes from the dust and ash.

That green shield, that means…

The dust clears, revealing Naofumi with his shield up, a little scratched from the hit.

"The Shield Demon…" the Spear Vanguard growls. "Charge up the Vanguard Spear!" He commands at the mages standing behind him.

"Naofumi!" Motoyasu yells with a smile.

"Sorry we're late." Naofumi responds curtly. "Drink this!" he says, tossing a health potion.

Motoyasu catches it, drinking it quickly.

Raphtalia appears, slashing the soldiers, pushing them back from Rino.

"Thanks!" Rino says.

"Are you alright?" Raphtalia asks.

"Now that you and the Shield Hero are here, yes." Rino says, filled with confidence, she turns to see the pink filolial running through, rescuing the villagers and fighting off the knights and soldiers.

"High quick!" Filo yells, rapidly kicking the Spear Vanguard. The Spear wielder blocks all the attacks with the halberd, his spear glows, knocking the Filolial back, interrupting her barrage.

The Spear Vanguard swings the halberd right towards Filo's neck, but she transforms into a puff of air and feathers and the Vanguard swings wide.

Filo, now in her human form beneath the halberd, raises her fist with a cry, slamming right into the knight's groin.

The Spear Vanguard roars in pain, stumbling back.

Bang!

Naofumi fires a Shield rifle to stun the Vanguard, but a magic barrier blocks the shot. The Shield Hero clicks his tongue.

The Spear wielder, growls, standing straight up in spite of the pain he felt. A group of knights and soldiers form next to him in a formation, spears pointed like a wall of pikes.

Everyone forms around Naofumi, facing the Spear Vanguard.

"What's the plan?" Motoyasu asks, facing Naofumi, eyes filled with genuine trust.

Naofumi's eyebrow quirks up from Motoyasu asking him to lead.

"Some Shinobi people are trying to find the mages jamming our teleportation. Once it is down, we will take all the villagers and teleport. For now we gotta hold them off, and maybe take this guy out, but staying alive is our top priority!" The Shield Hero commands.

"Duh…" Motoyasu lightly jabs. "Let's do this." He says raising the Legendary Spear, with the red gemstone glowing brighter than the flames.

"Hai…" Naofumi murmurs, raising the Legendary Shield up, with the green gemstone glowing, rivaling the Spear's light.

The Shield and Spear Heroes, together again, united against a foe who denies their Bond…

A girl with blue hair tied in two wavy pigtails, wearing a frilly blue and white dress, walks through the halls with two maids accompanying her.

She is Melty Q Melromarc, the Crowned Princess, the successor to the throne after the Queen. Due to the recent events of her elder sister…

She walks through the familiar halls of her home, making her way to the throne room where her father, the King, resides. In hopes of reprimanding her father for his recent actions. Truthfully, her main intention is to 'cool' some of her mother's wrath from burning, or rather, freeze burning, her father when mother returns.

"Any word of the Cardinal Heroes?"

"No." The 'maid' answers.

"How is Sir Misato, Lady Syne and Lady Eclair?" Melty asks.

"Sir Misato is still unconscious, the healers said his mind is likely the reason why he remains in that state, Lady S'yne remains by his side and has only been creating a doll to pass the time. Meanwhile Lady Eclair is shoring up defenses at Reichnott's territory and training the locals to fight in case the followers of the Three Heroes church decide to invade."

Melty nods "Considering the reports of the ambush on the Sword Hero, it makes sense."

About a day ago, Princess Melty was being escorted back to her home. When the caravan took a break to eat lunch, Melty decided to play with the local Filolials. Until a particular a pair of filolials, one was black, and the other was green, decided to grab Melty and place her on the black filolial's back.

Suddenly, the Royal Guards of the Crown Princess had to chase a pair of filolials kidnapping said Princess they are supposed to watch.

Melty held on, screaming in delight, uncaring that she was kidnapped as wild filolials don't typically grab people with their mouths and place them on their backs. While the guards ran to keep the Princess within sight.

Occasionally, the filolial pair would stop, making sure Melty's guards would catch up before running off again.

Eventually, the filolials stopped by a cave, letting Melty hop off the bird. Curious as to why they dropped her here, she goes inside while the guards catch up to them. Only to find an unconscious Misato with S'yne, along with the shadows, Dawn and Dusk.

There was some tension, but Dawn and Dusk explained that Misato's weapon likely trusts the new girl, S'yne, while they are suspicious of her capabilities and her strange voice, they have little time and ability to fight or interrogate her. So, they cooperated with the stranger, trusting the weapon's judgment. Considering what Misato has accomplished recently, it is clear the weapon has made good choices.

Dawn and Dusk explained, and Melty was shocked. To find out that Misato, the Projectile Hero, has taken on an army on his own, is such an incredible feat. Like the stories about her father back in the Stilvelt War.

Melty's caravan placed Misato inside with S'yne next to him, guarding him. With no contact with any of the Cardinal Heroes, the shadows suggested taking him to the castle, as security has tightened, and the King is still a strong magician. If the family is in danger the King will fight, or so their Queen claimed in the past.

Which is why Misato and S'yne are now in the Castle Infirmary. To avoid attention, S'yne was dressed as a maid, watching over Misato.

"However, his Majesty discovered Misato's whereabouts and attempted to arrest him, fortunately the guards there prevented the other soldiers." The other 'maid' says. "I daresay, Princess Malty and the King's Advisor, led him to believe that Sir Misato is to blame for the disappearance of the other Heroes."

Melty couldn't help but sigh at her father and sister's actions.

"Is there anything else that I should know?" Melty asks one last time, right before the throne room.

"No milady."

The Princess takes a breath, composing herself. "Alright." She says, nodding and the two maids open the throne room doors. She enters the room and the two maids close the door, giving them privacy.

Melty sees her father sitting on his throne, smiling at her. "Oh Melty, what can I do for you?" The King says, despite the fatigue clearly taking its toll on the old man, he still has the energy to welcome his youngest child with open arms.

Were it any other day, perhaps Melty would have been smiling at the greeting and would have hugged him but no, not after what happened. Melty stares back at her father with a neutral look.

"Why did you try to arrest Sir Misato?" She questions, wiping the King's smile clean off his face and he returns to his seat, now sullen.

"There are rumors that Misato has murdered Idol Rabier, Rikert, Mald and more importantly is likely the reason why we lost contact with the Cardinal Heroes." The King answers with a frown.

Melty pulls out a scroll, with the Queen's signature and stamp. "Father… Sir Misato is officially under the Queen's employ, he was sent here to ensure the welfare of all the Cardinal Heroes, including the Shield Hero."

The King's eye twitches at the mention of the Fourth Hero.

"As each Hero had a scar that resided within their minds and soul. A scar that was detrimental to their capability to fight the Waves effectively." Melty states factually.

"Mother and I had reports from Shadows personally spying on them, informing us that Sir Misato has helped them recover, as each hero has made large strides to improve themselves beyond simply slaying monsters within Melromarc." Melty says, praising Misato. When she first heard of this, it sounded inspiring to her. For the Heroes learn from their mistakes, to grow, to heal and become better. To become the Heroes of Legend she heard so much in the past.

"That scoundrel likely lied, falsely swearing to the Queen to help the Heroes, as they are all missing. He must have deceived them…" The King denies, unaware of his hypocrisy.

Melty's lips lightly curl at the denial.

The Throne Room doors open. "You must listen to Father, Sir Motoyasu has been led astray and has left me all alone…" A familiar voice says with a sob.

"Sister…" Melty mutters, turning to face Malty with a passive look. The red-haired princess walks over to the throne, with the King, facing the young sibling.

"Now because of that liar, Sir Motoyasu, my beloved, is missing…" Malty says, crying, wiping her tears with her hands. "That dangerous man needs to be in prison for everyone's safety…" The King comforts Malty, wiping the tears with a handkerchief.

"Sister, I appreciate the concern, but this is none of your business." Melty says, jabbing at Malty, who's expression quickly changes to a glare, her eye twitching at the reminder of her standing beneath Melty. "Especially considering the rumors I have heard about you."

"That scoundrel has gone on a smear campaign on your sister, showing false recordings to the public." The King says, defending Malty.

"Including her interference in the Duel between the Shield and Spear Heroes? The same recording that was made seconds after Malty interfered?" Melty points out.

Malty clicks her tongue. "The Shield Demon doesn't deserve fairness for what he did to me!"

"Yes… That bastard, Naofumi, raped your elder sister!" The King says. "A man who would cross such a line cannot be trusted to save our country! Including anyone who would side with that bastard! Pope Balmus was right, every Shield Hero that walks on our world is a demon!"

"Father… The Church cannot be trusted, we have a report that they had ambushed the Sword Hero, were it not for Misato, he would have died." Melty says calmly.

"What?!"

"That is preposterous! The Church of the Three Heroes is a valued ally, were it not for them, those monsters in Stilvelt would have won the war and enslaved so many of our people. It is written in history that the Shield Hero was always evil for going against humanity, especially now after raping me!" Malty exclaims, the red-haired Princess takes a breath, calming herself with a smirk, falsely acting concerned. "Well, you are just a child after all, children do have an overactive imagination… Perhaps you must have imagined they were the church?"

Melty frowns, pulling out a bag, grabbing and showing a rosary of the Three Heroes. "The Queen's shadows found more than a hundred from the army that tried to kill Misato."

"How do you know that isn't just a bag of rosaries that had not been taken yet?" Malty questions.

"The Queen's Shadows plucked this off their dead bodies." Melty answers but her eyes slightly widen at her mistake.

Malty's mouth twitches upwards. "If they gathered this many rosaries from that many people, how is it that Misato is still alive?"

The King frowns deeply at Malty's point.

"No way can a single man take on an entire army alone! It must be the Shield Demon, giving that heretic incredible endurance to survive such an army!" Malty exclaims.

The King slams his fist on the throne arm. "Misato is too dangerous, he must be arrested! Guards!"

The Royal guard marched into the throne room, all taking a knee, bowing to the Royal Family. "Yes, your majesty?" The Royal Commander asks.

"I order you to arrest Misato! For the safety of Melromarc by my name as the King, ignore-

"STOP!" Melty yells, interrupting the King, she pulls out a paper with the Queen's stamp and signature. Showing the paper to the Royal guard. "By the Royal Decree of the Queen, Misato will not be arrested! Only if I or the Queen ordered such a thing, not even the King and Princess Malty can break this decree! Anyone who breaks this decree means treason!" The Crown Princess says, stopping the foolish King. "You all may leave now!" Melty commands and the Royal Guard walks out of the room without hesitation.

"Melty! Come to your senses! Misato is evil! He allies with the Shield Demon!" The King says urgently.

"It's Shield Hero, not demon."

"He raped me!" Malty screeches.

"A claim that is starting to look less true due your recent actions as well." Melty counters coldly like a certain Queen. Reminding Malty again of the rumors that have spread far and wide recently. "You forgot the main point of this meeting, the Church has been suspicious recently and must be investigated, Misato is our witness to this and must be taken care of until then."

"Melty… You are making a mistake, at least speak to Pope Balmus when he visits the Castle tomorrow, speak to him about the rosaries and your claims. We need more evidence, to accuse such a thing is serious and if you are wrong, this can have a major backlash." The King raises his hands in a placating manner.

Melty frowns, father isn't completely wrong, but she has a feeling the King doesn't believe her… It seems they are at an impasse and this discussion has drained a lot of her energy than expected, as Crown Princess she cannot show her fatigue.

Melty curtsies. "We'll discuss more next time, the Shadows will return with more evidence, I'll take my leave now, Father." Turning around, walking out of the throne room, ignoring Malty's burning glare.

Melty sighs in disappointment and exhaustion, she has made no progress today, she is back where she started. Mother will be upset…

Melty saw her mother's destruction on the paintings of her father. The rage… It was so much. She never saw her mother like that before. It scared her so much…

"If I don't stop father soon, mother might kill him…" Melty thinks to herself, clenching her hands. Why won't her father see to reason? The Shield Hero has done nothing but help Melromarc, Misato has helped the Heroes become better than they were during the Second Wave, based on what the Queen's shadows told her anyway.

"Melty… You must be wary of your sister, DON'T trust her, assume she intends to kill you…" Her mother's warnings echo in Melty's mind.

She knows of Malty's personality and issues, but it can't be that bad right…? They are sisters, family… They are supposed to care for each other, right? Malty wouldn't kill her…

Right?

Melty shakes her head, thinking about another topic. The recent evidence and testimony about the Church attacking the Sword Hero and Misato… It's just as Mother told her, the Church is up to something horrible, likely a Coup, but why?

What is there to gain to fight each other? What is there to gain from making the Shield Hero an outcast by framing him? What is there to gain from making the Four Heroes not united? It is stated clearly in many textbooks that all Four Cardinal Heroes are needed to defeat the waves, even the Three Heroes Church had some text suggesting that even the Shield Hero is needed to fight the waves.

Why are so many people doing such foolish things to each other when the world is at stake? The same goes to the politicians, as Mother has to battle with words with them even before the Cardinal Heroes were summoned…

Some were righteously upset and doubtful of Mother's claims of having no part in the summoning but some… In Melty's opinion, they looked like a herd of hungry filolials ready to greedily devour their food instead of being concerned about the Waves and their homes being attacked. It's like they don't care and yet they are trusted to lead their countries…

Melty frowns deeply at the thought as she walks to the infirmary and yawns.

"It has been a long day and you had an intense discussion, I daresay you should rest milady." The 'maid' suggests.

The Crown Princess shakes her head. "Not yet I should at least check one more time if Sir Misato has awakened." She says, refusing to rest.

The two guards salute to Princess Melty and opens the door as she enters the infirmary, quickly closing it behind her. She walks over to Misato, S'yne and another 'maid'.

The maid and S'yne bows to Melty,

"How is Sir Misato?" Melty asks, observing the unconscious foreigner, lying in his bed, asleep. Strange, where did Misato's Weapon go? Perhaps the blanket is hiding it.

"Still unconscious, the healers saw no wounds, they believe it is his mind that is exhausted, no doubt it's because he fought an entire army alone and won." Dawn the 'maid' answers.

"How did he do it?" Melty questions, curious of his powers.

"Dusk and I are uncertain… We arrived near the end of it. You should know, before the attack, Misato was a decent fighter. He is very capable because of his quick thinking, reacting fast but also appropriately to many different attacks. However, the way he pulls off those feats is possible for many people, if they were all just as quick minded as him, how he fights isn't rare, just uncommon. But then…"

Melty and S'yne stare, paying full attention to Dawn's story.

Dawn and Dusk arrive on the battlefield, both of them breathing heavily as they dash through the forest, trying to find Misato. Following the sounds of gunshots echoing in the distance.

They killed the Mages casting the jamming spell, but even then, they still heard gunshots in the distance, why hasn't Misato left yet?

Dawn and Dusk arrive, only to find a massacre, seeing several corpses with holes all over their bodies.

"AGHHH!" A man screams but it isn't Misato's voice. They approach silently, pushing past the bushes and trees.

A sword flings into the air towards the two shadows and they both dodge it as it stabs the ground next to them. They turn to where the sword came from and they both involuntary gasp at the sight.

They see Misato thrusting two fingers at the side of the knight's ribs, breaking a piece of the chestplate. The knight groans and tries to backhand but Misato catches it with one hand. Misato rapidly kicks with his right leg, hitting the side of the knight's knee, their pelvis and finally their head in quick succession. The head kick smashes Misato's leg armor and the knight's helm.

The knight stands stunned from the hit while Misato, undeterred by his broken armor, uses his other leg to spin kick into the knight's now exposed head. The knight quickly ducks beneath the kick, but before the knight could counter. Misato immediately thrusts a bayonet rifle into their head, killing the knight.

Dawn realizes Misato used the motion of the spin to include a stab in case the knight dodged the wide kick. The weapon moved from the ground and into his hand mid kick.

A Soldier roars, swinging their sword straight over Misato at his side. The Projectile Hero raises their rifle in an angle, it changes into a rapier with what looks like a gun attached near the crossbar, and the soldier's blade slides off of Misato's weapon. During the parry, Misato raises his left arm and the blue? Mana blade suddenly appears in his hand in a reverse grip slicing the soldier, stunning them. Misato finishes them off with a stab using the rapier gun.

Another soldier charges to thrust their spear but Misato swiftly moves to them, stepping on the shaft with great dexterity. The spearhead stabs into the ground and the spear man stumbles forward from the extra weight on his weapon. With the soldier unbalanced, Misato spins around the man, holding his sword in a reverse grip, he stops behind the soldier, stabbing his sword through the soldier's chest, killing them.

Misato turns to the last squad of soldiers and a single mage cowering before him. One grabs a crossbow from the ground.

"Stay back!" The soldier yells, failing to intimidate Misato as the young man stares at them passively, with his cold blue eyes? Dawn blinks, focusing on Misato's face. Why are his eyes blue? Weren't they gold or yellow, and why are his eyes glowing? Now that Dawn sees Misato's weapon, the gemstone, instead of the color gold, it is now blue as well.

A soldier with a small stream of blood falling over his eye, clumsily stands up with his sword, standing at Misato's right flank, outside of Misato's peripheral view. Dawn and Dusk raise their knives ready to throw just in case, but they watch, curious to see what Misato will do.

The soldier fires the crossbow, hitting Misato's mouth, he turns away, stumbling from the shot, exposing his back to the other soldier, who raises his sword, ready to stab. Before Dawn or Dusk could intervene, Misato turns.

In a split second, Misato faces the swordsman pivoting on his foot, rotating his body to dodge the stab, while Misato grabs the soldier's face, who drops the sword and grabs Misato's arm with a cry.

"Help me!" The soldier screams as Misato lifts him off the ground but none of the soldiers intervene, they stare, frozen in fear. Misato faces the remaining soldiers, revealing that Misato caught the arrow with his teeth and spits the arrow out.

The Shadows see Misato's lips move but they are too far to hear what he casts, his hand glows blue and the soldier in his grasp suddenly bursts into flames, so quickly they couldn't even hear the soldier scream.

He tosses the burnt corpse aside and marches to the remaining enemies slowly, filling them with fear.

The single mage drops her staff. "The mages have stopped casting the teleportation jamming! You can leave! You can just go! Please LEAVE US!" The soldiers do the same, begging for Misato to simply leave.

Misato raises his hand over his other shoulder, his back foot glows blue, and he dashes through the group. The shadows only see a blur go through them

Misato stops behind them, facing away, now in his hand is a Greatsword as large as his body with an odd barrel sticking at the flat side of the blade. The remaining stragglers stand there briefly and then they all fall over, dead.

Were it not for their masks, someone would see that Dawn and Dusk's mouths are agape.

Then he…

Dawn pauses, staring aimlessly at a nearby wall.

"Dawn?" Melty asks.

The Shadow doesn't respond.

"Dawn!" Melty says, raising her voice, breaking the Shadow's stupor.

"Ah! Apologies, uh… Right." The 'maid' nods, remembering where she left off and continues. "Afterwards, Misato's weapon turned back into a small gun and the colors turned back to gold. His eyes stop glowing and he just… Stood there. It's likely he passed out at that moment, then a little later, S'yne arrived."

Dawn would explain what she saw, including S'yne catching Misato and the Filolials from Fitoria walking over to them.

"It's like… He became a completely different person, because back then, when Misato fought, he never showed such technique and skill. He went from a potentially great marksman capable of close combat to… What I can describe as a Veteran Hero who went through many battles." At least, that's what her instincts told her.

Everyone in the room remains silent, processing the information Dawn provided about Misato.

S'yne is amazed by this hero, to be this capable so early into the waves. But at the same time, she is a little perplexed. Based on Dawn's description of Misato's capability in fighting, the leap from rookie to a veteran is odd but not unwelcome, that's for certain.

Meanwhile Melty is stunned by Misato's feat, to her, it's like straight out of a book she read before. Stories about Heroes overcoming impossible odds and winning. It's amazing! But at the same time, it is scary, he killed so many people. Of course, he had no choice but still…

The Princess suddenly yawns.

Dawn looks outside, seeing the moon. "It is a little late now."

"It has been a very busy day…" Melty says. "I'm going to bed, good night, everyone…" She says waving her hand, walking out of the infirmary.

"G*od N*ght." S'yne finally speaks.

S'yne removes the uniform and lies in her bed.

While Dawn leaps out of the window.

"Dawn, I dare say, you should speak truthfully, what do you think of Misato?"

"I am afraid of him…"

"Because of his alliance with the Filolial Queen?"

"No…" Dawn shakes her head and explains what actually happened after Misato killed the stragglers.

"Misato suddenly turned his head, staring right at me directly into my eyes. I froze in fear and stayed there staring at Misato's cold blue eyes. Afraid that if I move even the slightest, he will kill me…"

"Back then, when Misato spoke to me before, he would only stare at the general area where my eyes are because of my mask. But when he saw me… It felt like he knew exactly where my eyes were beneath the mask…" Dawn says.

"I see…" The other shadow mutters.

Dawn turns to look at Misato through the window, who is still sleeping peacefully in his bed.

Somehow, Misato feels more dangerous than Fitoria…

Snap! Crack!

Melty wakes up hearing wood break and snap, she sees sunlight piercing through the cracks of her curtains and turns to see her assigned Shadow, with another similar cloaked figure on top of them, wielding a knife. The Queen's shadow grabs the knife arm, but the two struggle to overpower each other. Another Shadow appears through the door stabbing the unknown figure, helping the other shadow up. They turn around, and several shadows bearing the Three Heroes Church symbol on their chests appear at the door.

"Oh no…" Melty gasps, realizing what's going on, adrenaline fills her veins, erasing her fatigue.

"RUN!" One of Melty's protector shouts and the two Shadows of the Queen collide with the Church's shadows.

While the Queen and Church shadows fight, another pair of shadows come through the door leaping towards Melty.

Melty raises her hand and a magic circle appears. "Faust Aqua Shot!" She yells, launching the spell into a shadow, pushing one back. The second raises their arms to grab but a Queen's shadow tackles them, allowing Melty to slip by to the small cabinet table next to her bed. She observes the fight, Mother's shadows are good, but the Church's Shadows outnumber them, she can't escape!

Melty frantically grabs the little drawer and pulls. Remembering a particular item she was given from her mother.

The Princess grabs a glass bottle filled with small purple balls, half the size of a pill. She opens the lid but then hears a loud thud behind her, the sound of a body hitting the floor. She then feels someone grab her leg.

"GAH NO!" Melty turns screaming, kicking the person's arm.

The Church Shadow grabs her other leg and Melty then swings the glass bottle to hit them. But another shadow catches her hand and another grabs the other limb.

Melty twists and turns against her captors, hoping to escape their grasp but they are too strong. A wet cloth slaps over her mouth and nose, suffocating her. Melty involuntarily inhales and falls asleep.

A shadow picks Melty up like a sack of potatoes over their shoulder.

"We must move quickly before the Queen's Shadows come."

The Church Shadows leave the room, but one glances back, staring at the opened glass bottle the Princess grabbed for some reason, they mentally shrug, and they turn around following the others.

Dusk observes Misato, who lays in his bed even when the sunlight has pierced through the cracks of the curtains. Dusk has switched places with Dawn, allowing his partner to rest from guarding their guests all night. Now, Dusk will spend half the day watching them.

Switching places right at daybreak, ironic considering his codename.

Dusk observes Misato's body, recalling when they entered Castle Town, Misato's weapon disappeared. No matter where the shadows looked and even when the healers inspected his body, the Weapon was gone. However, Dawn and Dusk saw that the party was still up, they saw their codenames, Misato, S'yne's name and the filolials in the corner of their vision. But the Gun was not visible.

Just like the King sometime after the Prince's death…

Dusk sighs at the memory of those events. He was young, a Shadow still in training but the Veteran Shadows would often take young Shadows on observation duty. Dusk and Dawn were there to witness the King's downfall every other day.

After the death of the prince, likely caused by Stilvelt, the King became worse, his mind seemingly deteriorated that the mere mention of anything related to Stilvelt, bad and even good, would make him enraged and overly paranoid. Which leads him to causing so much trouble, forcing their Queen to clean up his messes and restrain him like an impudent child. Princess Malty at the time did little to help his mind, only molding it for her to easily manipulate his vulnerable mind even to this day.

After Aultcray nearly caused another war with Stilvelt, the following day, the King woke up, and found the Staff missing.

Most assumed he was no longer the Staff hero after what he did but when the King tried to grab a different weapon, the king was shocked out of nowhere, like a slave crest was placed on him, which has been proven false after some testing. The Queen believed that the Staff was still bonded with the King but decided that it would hide itself, perhaps out of shame or it was waiting for the Wise King to return. Dusk personally doubts the latter after all these years, especially now.

But then, Misato spoke to the King for the first time, later in the conversation, they began to argue, and the Staff appeared in the King's hands…

Why did the Staff choose to appear at that particular moment, in front of Misato and Fitoria?

The King was acting foolish so it wouldn't make sense on why it would appear when the King's foolishness was what made the Staff disappear in the first place. Why did it show itself to Misato, after all these years?

"AGH!" A scream of pain breaks the Shadow's thoughts.

Dusk looks to see Misato's Gun on his chest, purple lightning erupting from it, hurting Misato, awakening him from his deep slumber.

"Fuck!" Misato curses seeing the Gun on his chest electrocuting him, it's like he got stinged by multiple bees, each having electricity fused with their stingers! This is what Naofumi felt when he grabbed that sword? No wonder why he was so pissed! He leans up from the pain only to groan and lie back on the bed.

"What's wrong?" Dusk asks.

"Everything aches, every single cell in my body is sore… I feel sore in places in my body that I did not know was possible." Misato whines. "Why did Gun shock me?" He wonders, grabbing his weapon.

Tracker Bullet activated!

Misato's eyes widened and he turned to the Shadow. "Where am I? Are my teammates here?!" He asks and tries to slide off his bed. But his feet are still stuck underneath the tucked in blankets, and he falls over face first, until two petite hands grab his shoulders stopping his fall.

The person pushes him back up and Misato comes face to face with a cute girl, who has very pale blue eyes and white hair, wearing a purple and white outfit with visible stitches.

"C*refu*l." She says.

Misato raises his eyebrow at the static noise her voice emitted, did he hear that right? "Thanks" he says, ignoring the odd static. The girl nods and Misato looks at the text above her head.

S'yne Lokk: S3wing S3t H3r0 L3ve1 61

What is the Sewing Set Hero doing here, why is her title messed up, and when did he bring her into his party? Misato, he looks at the Gun on his lap.

Could it be?

It would make sense, but why would the Gun invite her? S'yne could have been like Glass, an Otherworld Vassal Hero intending to kill the Cardinal Heroes of this world.

Misato shakes his head, if the Gun invited her, then he can trust her for now, no time to dwell on it.

The Gun Hero lifts the blanket aside, pulling out the blanket completely, he slides his feet off the bed and stands, ignoring the aching pain he feels. He turns to Dusk. "Answer me!"

"You are in the Castle Infirmary and no, last we checked, they are not." Dusk answers calmly. "Princess Melty found us and escorted you to the Castle for safety."

SAFE?! In a Castle with Trash and Bitch?!

Misato shakes his head. "My tracker bullet has activated, the only people I gave them to were my teammates, and to you Shadows for Melty and the Queen!" Misato exclaims.

Dusk stiffens and immediately raises a crystal orb, while Misato raises his Communication Gun.

"I can't get into contact with Melty's shadows! Or anyone!" Dusk says and Misato groans, lowering his gun.

"Nor can I!" Misato says. "Melty has been kidnapped…"

Misato looks at his body, seeing he is nearly naked, wearing only a pair of boxers, he looks around the room, failing to find his armor. He looks at S'yne, whose cheeks are slightly pink, looking at his bare torso. "Where is my armor and gear?"

S'yne shakes her head and looks at Misato's eyes respectfully "T*rn to s*reds." The girl answers, raising the remains of Misato's magic threaded Jacket. She initially tried to repair it but didn't have the appropriate threads to do it.

"Your dark steel armor was broken to pieces." Dusk explains and Misato groans, he just got that armor…

Instant Armor Equip Feature unlocked!

Armor once worn in the past can now be equipped to your body instantly!

Misato then sees a typical armor equipment menu, with a simple outline of a person, representing 'his body'. On the other side of the screen are his clothing and old armor sets, the Wyvern Scaled set and his first armor set in his inventory. He drags the 'clean set of clothing' over the body.

In a blink of an eye, Misato is suddenly wearing a dark gray long sleeve shirt with black pants.

"How did you do that?" Dusk questions, his monotone tone slightly cracking at the sudden appearance. S'yne's eyes widened, and she looked at her flickering HUD.

"We'll figure it out later." Misato dismisses, equipping the Wyvern Armor Set while S'yne quickly places a matching cloak on, completing her outfit.

Misato frowns, some of the parts feel a bit tighter than he remembered. He grabs the shredded remains of his jacket and closes his eyes, channeling his mana to repair the jacket.

The threads glow and the jacket repair itself completely, like nothing ever happened. Misato quickly puts it on over the wyvern vest, and flips his collar over his neck, completing his outfit.

"How can we find the Princess?" Dusk asks and Misato drinks a mana potion, looking at the arrow in his vision, tracking Melty. The arrow moves quickly, turning in various directions.

"The tracker on Melty tells me which direction she is at, and with how the arrow is moving, they must be very close." Misato answers, walking to the exit with S'yne behind him.

Misato opens the door, only to come face to face with a soldier wearing a captain uniform, but not the same captain from the Second Wave who helped. With a pair of other normal soldiers next to the captain.

"Misato, you must come with us to the King!" The Captain says.

"Why?"

"Princess Melty is missing, by the orders of the King, you are being taken in for questioning!" The Captain clarifies.

Misato growls. "We got no time for this! I know where Melty is right now! Get out of the way!" He steps forward and looks at the each end of the hallway. At one end he sees a group of soldiers, one holding a crystal ball, smirking. His mind clicks, the Gun Hero remembers how Episode 12 ended and how Episode 13 began in the Anime…

Misato looks forward, the Captain still speaks but he focuses on the soldier behind the Captain, giving Misato a disgusting smile, his eyes filled with insanity or specifically, fanaticism… The soldier raises his hand and a red circle form beneath his feet.

"Get back!" Dusk yells, pulling Misato's collar and throws a knife at the caster, killing him, the other soldier and Captain stare in shock, but the ominous magic circle remains.

Too late.

Misato tosses the Gun, it transforms into a cannon blocking the door, breaking a bit of the wall, and the floor. He turns around grabbing S'yne, and dives behind a nearby bed with the Vassal Hero in his arms. Dusk does the same on the other bed.

Boom!

The Cannon blocks the flaming explosion, the force of the blast pushes the cannon back, but before it falls over, it reappears on Misato's hip as a handgun.

Misato looks at S'yne, lessening his grip, allowing the girl to lean her head back and look at him. "You, okay?"

S'yne nods, and Misato lets her go, standing up. The two peeks over the bed, seeing the aftermath of the explosion. There is a large burnt and cracked hole where the door used to be. They turn to look at Dusk, who slowly stands up.

"Dusk?" Misato calls and the Shadow lifts his arm with a thumbs up.

"He killed our comrades! He must have done something to Princess Melty!" A man yells.

"Retreat!" Another man commands and several men cry out in, obviously, false fear.

Misato scowls, picturing their smug faces, he marches towards the hallway.

Those sick fuckers! He's going to-

Warning! Low Ammunition!

He pauses at the pop-up and looks at his ammo.

"What?!" Misato gasps out loud.

WHERE THE FUCK DID HIS AMMO GO?!

He only has ninety-six bullets for an assault rifle, one hundred twelve bullets for a pistol, forty-eight for an SMG, sixteen shotgun shells, twelve sniper rifle bullets, sixteen grenade shells, and unorthodox guns that require MP or SP!

Thankfully there are some custom ammo like smoke grenades, rubber bullets and unique guns that don't use generic bullets but still…

What happened? He did shoot a lot of people, emptying a few magazines but he certainly had more resources and ammo than that! Actually… How did he get here and what happened to that army?

Misato looks at Dusk and S'yne, he then looks at the burning hole on the wall and sighs, remembering the situation. He'll ask later…

Misato then reads the rest of the notifications.

There's also…

Dragon Emperor Gun Series

"Fitoria is going to kill me…"

The Shard was in his pocket, so how did he accidentally absorb it?!

Misato sighs and continues skim reading.

Strengthening Method Restored: Skill Efficiency.

What? Skill efficiency is one of the Gun's Primary Strengthening methods Forrest mentioned in the recordings, but that didn't work before, why now? Misato will read more later.

Esper Power Manifestation Series Complete

Good to see the Esper Power is complete, he will read it later.

L39i9n0r5p0tA81a?kccc333 0F Th3 Gun Series:

Passive Effect Activated: Combat Assistance.

The Mystery Series is still difficult to figure out, although, now looking at it carefully, some of the numbers look like letters too… He'll look into it later.

Passive effect activated… Combat Assistance? Misato frowns at the implications of this ability.

"Misato is the reason why the Princess is missing! Capture him!" A voice yells outside of the infirmary in the distance, breaking Misato's thoughts, and they hear multiple footsteps approaching them.

"Get the Shield Demon's followers!"

Dusk draws out a throwing knife, pinching the sharp blade and S'yne transforms her weapon into a large pair of scissors, tall as her body.

Misato sighs and raises the Legendary Gun, the gold-colored gemstone glows.

"And away we go…" Misato quotes.

And finally, The Gun Hero stands… Against a foe who will deny the Truth…

Author's Notes:

Welcome to the end of this chapter, thank you for reading! I Hope you all liked it.

Lots of people are facing the consequences of their actions…

To help picture what moves Misato pulled off in the flashback fight, here's the list of all the inspirations I took to write the fight.

I suggest you watch Red Vs Blue, find the part where Carolina fights that Knife wielding girl from the Resistance. You'll figure out what kicks Misato pulled off.

Then watch For Honor, Peacekeeper Riposting Stab.

And finally look up Sekiro Mikri Counter.

(X)

For people worried about this story ending prematurly, the story after "Season 1" its current status is more like, TBD. I'm not certain where I will take it, but I'll know when I get there after a long break. Probably not a rushed story though.

Unless I become an Old Man, too old to write the in-between parts of what I want to write. So, at that point I would probably provide summaries and write out scenes I would want to do instead. Basically, skipping to the highlights.

(X)

So, Misato has restored a strengthening method. Skill Efficiency.

How does this compare to Skill Mastery? They both upgrade skills by frequent use.

Efficiency lowers cool down, charge up time, and SP costs more than Mastery does. Once a skill is maxed out in efficiency, the Hero will not need verbal command to activate the skill, they just need to activate by their will and thought.

The downside is that Skill Efficiency only provides a much smaller boost in damage compared to Skill Mastery upgrades, and it can't change the effects of the skill.

But if you combine these methods… You get the most POWERFUL combination of being able to spam powerful, evolving skills with little to no cooldown and SP cost!

(X)

As always, please provide your thoughts on this chapter and please answer this question.

What Primary Strengthening Methods should the Legendary Gun have?

Remember, the Gun's Primary methods so far are Resource Customization and now Skill Efficiency. The damage of escaping its world's destruction has made it lose its primary methods but now Misato is slowly restoring them.

There are 2 spots left now. Please provide your ideas. They could be unique, they could be redundant, they can be a little bit of both. Also please explain why the strengthening method would fit the Gun.

Thank you all, have a wonderful day!
