Finishing Big Battle with Heroic Spirits
Leina charges forward as she swings her sword killing off several monsters that tries to get in her way, and there was also the Black Goliath is blasting away all over the battlefield as she dodges them the best she could and made her way to Bell along with Ryuu and Asfi.
"Mister Cranel, Miss Leina." Ryuu said as they all have their backs onto each other.
"Whatcha thinking?" Bell asked, feeling that Ryuu already has a plan.
"You and Leina take care of all the other monsters here while we distract Goliath." Ryuu revealed her plan, though that didn't exactly sound like a full plan to Bell and Leina.
"Are you sure that is wise?" Leina asked concern.
"We can't afford to lose any ground here. If we can stall him, then the mages who can still fight will be able to cast another spell. And if it doesn't work the first time, we'll just repeat it as many times as we have to." Ryuu glared at the Black Goliath.
"But that all depends on how many times we can do it until we can't anymore." Leina said.
"Good luck!" Ryuu said as she sprinted for the giant monster with Asfi right beside her.
Leina and Bell look around to see the other Adventurers and such are still fighting for their lives, but also fear that they won't last for long.
"I don't know how exactly, but I know… We are going to win this!" Leina said with fire in her eyes.
"Right." Bell nodded, and his right hand glows.
(With Hestia and Other Adventurers)
Hestia is busy tending to one Adventurer who got hurt with some help from Melpha.
"Goddess Hestia! Melpha!" Lili called out as she and Risty ran up to them.
"Thank goodness, you two are still in one piece." Melpha smiled joyfully.
"Thanks, but we need you and the others to work fast on gathering up all the supplies that we have back in the town. One of the men told us that they're gonna try attacking the Goliath again." Risty informed.
"And we have to hurry!" Lili added.
"Did you guys hear that? Please go to town and get everything!" Hestia ordered to a few men, and they ran towards the town.
"Where's Chigusa?" Lili asked, noticing that Chigusa isn't here.
"She disappeared during the huge explosion. I think she ended up with Ouka." Hestia guessed.
"Guess she couldn't just sit around like a pussy any longer." Risty scoffed.
But then Lili gasped when she saw an object wrapped in cloth with the mark of a symbol she had not seen in a long time.
"Risty, would you mind getting these men some bandages?" Melpha requested.
"Sure, I'll help out in any way I can." Risty nodded.
(With Ryuu and Asfi vs Black Goliath)
Ryuu just managed to dodge a strike from the Goliath after striking its foot and ankle.
"Watch out! You'll get yourself killed!" Asfi warned.
But Ryuu didn't stop attacking as she knew this monster is too powerful to just use any normal attacks, she is gonna have to use every magical power she could muster as she comes down with a strong slash attack on the Goliath though it healed soon after.
"(This is going to take every bit of our strength.)" Ryuu thought knew that.
"Don't worry about the magic stone. At this rate, we won't make it." Asfi pointed out, unless the mages could hurry up and cast another powerful spell.
"(And the full extent of our deepest desires.)" Ryuu thought determined to see this battle through to the end.
The Black Goliath unleashes another barrage of its blast onto the battlefield hitting some of the Adventurers, including one mage who was close to Ouka and she didn't make it.
"(Damn it, that monster is going to be the end of us all if we don't do something.)" Ouka thought angered at the Black Goliath.
"Ouka!" Chigusa called out as she ran up to him.
"Chigusa, I need my shield." Ouka requested.
Chigusa was a little surprised that Ouka would request his shield right now though she notice him looking directly at the Black Goliath and realizes what his intentions are which worries her a lot.
"But you can't! You'll die!" Chigusa pointed out as she grabs onto his sleeve. "I can't let that happen…" She feared that if Ouka goes at the Goliath, then she will never see him again.
"Listen, Chigusa. I won't be the kind of man who's all talk, if they are willing to risk their lives then I shall do so as well. Alright?" Ouka looked back at Chigusa with his determined in his eyes.
Chigusa can see that there is no way she is going to change Ouka's mind when she saw that look in his eyes, the look that she knows all too well, she just prays that he would survive this.
(With Leina and Bell)
Leina continues slaughtering the monsters with Bell having her back and it was only with one of her kills that she finally notices the lightning spark emitting from her sword.
"Huh? What is this?" Leina shocked to see lightning sparking around her sword.
"Bell, I think I just unlocked a new skill." Leina alerted.
"Really? How did that happen?" Bell asked shock.
"I don't know, but I think we can use this to blast the Goliath's head clean off which should at least give our allies enough time to try attacking with that combination spell again." Leina believed as she points her electric sword at the monster.
"If you really think so then I'm willing to try." Bell nodded as he holds up his hand with the glow of the Argonaut skill powering up his attack spell.
Leina really has no idea on how she is able to emit lightning element through her sword though this does remind her of Claudette whenever she uses her lightning magic, she even remembers how her older sister would tell her how that works and hoping this would work the same.
Leina held her sword right above Bell and tries to concentrate on the lightning to be transfer or channel, to feel it flowing into Bell's hand which actually end up working.
"Bell! Leina! Look out!" Asfi alerted that the Black Goliath is about to attack.
Ryuu also turns around to see them about to see, hoping whatever they're about to do will end up working.
"Now! Give it everything you got!" Leina shouted.
"Right!" Bell nodded.
"Firebolt!" Bell unleashed the now electric-powered attack spell that went right at the Goliath in that instant moment it fires its breath attack which causes an explosion very, very close to its face.
"Did that do it?" Leina asked.
The smoke clear away to half that literally the upper half of the Goliath's head has been blown off along with almost the upper jaw of the mouth, it looks like the monster won't be able to heal itself for a while in that kind of bad condition.
But then they heard the painful moaning of the Black Goliath.
"(No, it can still fight?!)" Leina thought shocked.
"Bell, we have to run now!" Leina grabbed Bell's hand and ran with him.
But they were able to run about five feet as the Black Goliath unleashed its breath attack and the shockwave blew them away and hurdle into the air, and that is when the Goliath rush in swinging its large hand to attack them in one strike.
"Oh no!" Ryuu gasped.
"Bell, get behind my shield!" Leina pulled Bell closer and held up her shield to at least take in some of the impact from the attack, but she knew that they would feel most of it as well.
But as luck we have it, Ouka jumps in and uses his own shield to block the attack and have the lovers behind him though they were still sent flying away and they could still feel the attack on their bodies greatly damaging them from that slap.
"What happened?!" Hestia asked, feeling something is wrong just now.
Welf and Mirim are both in shock to see that Bell and Leina have been smacked away by the Goliath like they were nothing more than house flies, Mirim is covering her mouth with her hands trying not to scream even though she wanted to.
"Dear God… Please, no… GOD DAMN YOU?!" Welf screamed in rage.
(With Bell, Leina, and Ouka, Unconscious)
"Sir Ouka, please wake up!" Chigusa begged.
The three Adventurers managed to survive the Goliath's slap though their bodies are badly injured and are unconscious at the moment. Mikoto is also there upon witnessing Ouka's attempt to save them to check on her friend.
"Damn it, two of them down." Asfi cursed, if only she had more power to fight that Goliath.
And then Hestia enters the scene along with Lili and Risty, they are devastated to see Bell and Leina are badly hurt along with Ouka who risked his life to save them the best he could.
"Will they be alright?" Hestia asked.
"Their injuries are serve, but they are still breathing." Ryuu answered.
"Leave the Goliath to us." Asfi said as she stood up.
"Take care of things, Chigusa." Mikoto said before leaving to fight the Goliath.
"Everyone, move aside! I'm going to use my Holy Pose to heal them, hopefully it will help them wake up from their unconscious state quicker too." Melpha ordered as she gets herself ready.
The others quickly move away from the shot as Melpha channels the Divine Power within her body to gather and increase in power a little.
"Holy Pose: Healing!" Melpha shined brightly and the light reaches the three injured Adventurers as the wounds and blood from their bodies started to fade, healing their physical bodies.
"You did it, you healed them!" Lili amazed.
"Yes, but they might still be unconscious for just a little while, but my healing should speed it up." Melpha smiled.
"Thank you, Melpha. Heaven has truly blessed you with ways of the Divine Power to help those in need." Hestia thanked.
"Now, you got and fight Goliath, and stall him as long as you can." Hestia said to Ryuu.
"Bell and Leina are going to wake up soon, and then they are going to defeat that monster together." Hestia believed her first two children and lovers are going to win this battle.
"Goddess Hestia." Ryuu saw the Goddess having so much faith in Bell and Leina even though they are still new at adventuring.
"I know you seen them fight before, especially when they fight together as one! And I know they can do this; they can take down Goliath!" Hestia believed strongly.
Yep, Ryuu can definitely feel hope from the Goddess if a divine being like herself truly believes in the strength of two young mortals.
"Very well." Ryuu nodded as the Goddess and went off the fight Goliath for stalling time.
"Bell, Leina, you two have to get up now." Hestia begged.
"Master Bell! Lady Leina!" Lili called out.
"Everyone is fighting really hard against Goliath, knowing the risk and still charges forward." Melpha added.
"You two are the only ones who can fight against the Goliath and win this fight, I know you can do it!" Hestia called out to them.
Soon, Hestia and Bell started to slowly open their eyes seeing Hestia and the others right beside them with smiles of relief to see them waking up.
"Goddess Hestia, everyone." Bell said softly.
"We're sorry to have worried you both, but I promise we won't let that monster win." Leina smiled.
"We'll keep on fighting for everyone." Bell promised.
"Not just anyone can call a hero." Hermes said, walking up to them through the trees and looking down at both Bell and Leina, though a little mostly on Bell.
"It isn't some kind of title you can earn because you brandish a sword or carry a shield, and it got nothing to do with magic or strength." Hermes said in a slightly serious tone.
It was then that both Bell and Leina started to feel something about those words Hermes is speaking to them to right now, something that they heard from long ago.
For Bell, it was his dead grandfather.
"Bell, a hero is someone who sacrifices himself. He is willing to lose his life for the sake of the ones he loves."
For Leina, it was her dead mother.
"The road ahead to become a hero may be hard and full of danger, but the one thing that will always keep you moving forward is the hope in your heart. And that is always the victor of any battle."
"Hold on tight to your wish." Hermes said with a small smile.
"Cry out with all of your desire!" Bell's grandfather said.
"And you will see for yourself once you get there." Leina's mom said.
"(That is what makes a hero shine the brightest!)" Leina and Bell thought of the same thing together as they push themselves back on their feet.
"Bell, it's time we put an end to this once and for all." Leina determined with little lightning sparks emitting from her hand.
"Right." Bell nodded.
Leina grabs her sword and Bell is given a large two-handed sword by Lili who believes will be very useful to him, they march towards the Goliath with a newfound determination to save everyone here and make it back up to the surface.
"We believe in you two." Hestia said.
"Thank you." Bell smiled.
Bell and Leina stop as they are close enough for the Goliath monster getting themselves ready for the final clash against that monster.
"Let your feelings burn like fire. Cry out with all of your desire." Bell's grandfather's voice echoed in his head.
"Never forget that you carry on the tradition and will of all those who came before you, those who wish to protect the ones they love." Leina's mom echoed in her head.
Suddenly there is a large bell chamming that is loud and echoing throughout the 18th floor for everybody to hear.
"Bells?" Melpha confused of the sound.
"That's… Limit Off!" Hestia recognized this. It is when an Adventurer who are at their very limit have been unchained by the limits and ready to unleash one ultimate attack, but that is a very rare thing to happen to an Adventurer, much as two at the same time.
Bell channels the large sword with the Argonaut, making it more powerful, while Leina is empowering her sword with her new lightning magic skill.
Goliath roars that got the monsters to come attack these humans, but the other Adventurers are preventing them from going anywhere.
Ryuu start chanting a powerful wind spell and Mikoto call upon the spirit of the War God to grant her power for one spell.
Welf is running and jumping through the forest making his way towards Goliath.
"(I know this is selfish of me, but there are some people I wanna save. Please give me the strength to do this!)" Welf thought pleaded.
"I suppose I better pull out all the stops as well." Asfi decided as she activate the wings of her boots and fly up to the Goliath's face to throw fire potions to blind it.
"Luminous Wind!" Ryuu unleashed the powerful attack though that only angers the Goliath and smack both her and Asfi away.
"Shinbu Tousei: Futsunomitama!" Mikoto unleashed a powerful gravity spell to restrain the monster's movements.
"I… I can't hold on!" Mikoto feared and Golitah broke free.
"Out of my way! Kazuki!" Welf jumped in and unleashed a powerful fire attack.
"That's… A Crozzo magic sword!" Ryuu recognized that weapon.
"Kazuki, it surpasses the original!" Asfi amazed.
The giant fire attack engulfs Goliath while Welf is remembering the words from his Goddess Hephaestus.
"Please, don't make your companion pay for your stubbornness."
"(She's right, I was just being stubborn. I'm sorry.)" Welf thought apologized.
Bell's body is glowing bright almost white as snow and Leina is ready with her own finishing move, he swings the large sword to unleash the ultimate Hero Shot while at the same time, Leina unleashes her new move that she hopes to make her older sister Claudette proud.
"Thunder Dragon Tail!" Leina thrusted her sword forward and unleashes a powerful lightning bolt.
Both attacks came together, combining into one ultimate finishing move, and all hit the Black Goliath as it screams in rage while being engulfed by the attack.
A moment later, the sword broke into little pieces and both lovers look down at the giant crater that was caused by their combined attack to see the legs of the Goliath still standing along with its magic stone. But a crack appears on the magic stone and a few seconds later, that crack grew power until the magic stone broke in half.

The battle against the Black Goliath was indeed intense for everybody having to pull their own weight, and then the lovers managed to pull off an unbelievable move that Leina also discovered to somehow unlock a lightning magic move as they were able to kill the Floor Boss once and for all!
