Day one has officially begun! Right now that's all I have to say. I'm trying to collect my thoughts for all four days of the music festival and how it's going to play out.

Chapter 7:

8:30 am

"Yash?"

"Yeah Kagome?" InuYasha looked at her with a questioning look.

"Do you think it's a good idea that we're going to get the coolers just us two?"

"Well your hoops are there too so it makes sense that we grab everything. Why do you ask?"

"I don't know..." Kagome's voice was filled with anxiety.

"Then why ask?"

"I just don't want you to get the wrong idea here."

"Kagome we are going to get the rest of the things from the truck I think we can handle that."

"You don't get it."

"How about we talk about it back at the truck instead of on the shuttle of death?" Inuyasha said as the shuttle pulled up. The shuttle was basically a wooden trailer that was open on one side to let people load their things on and off and when it was moving you could feel every single bum driving down the slope to the parking lot.

"Yeah you're right." Kagome giggled.

They got on the shuttle and it pulled off to the parking lot sitting silently together the trailer ran over a huge bump and Kagome jumped and grabbed InuYasha's wrist to steady herself.

"Don't worry Kagome I won't let you fall off." Inuyasha smiled.

Making their way back to the parking lot they got off and headed towards the truck.

"So why do you think I'm going to get the wrong idea by just going and picking up the last of our things?" Inuyasha looked at her puzzled.

"Well...um... I don't want you to feel any pressure to do anything this weekend."

"why would there be pressure?"

"Well we'll be on a music high and inhibitions take control."

"Kagome."

"I just want you to know I'm not expecting anything from you."

"Kagome. Shut up." InuYasha leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. "if you don't want to do anything then I won't do anything but I want you to know that I do want something to happen and but I'm not gonna do anything if you're not into it."

"InuYasha..."

"I mean I won't say I haven't been thinking about it. You're cute and i won't be remiss to say I haven't thought about you from time to time since college."

"Umm... well now I feel weird bringing it up."

"I don't want you to feel weird."

"I... just... um..."

"Hey it's okay Kagome." Inuyasha smiled at her. "You don't have to feel the same way." A blush slightly forming on his face.

"It's not that. I'm just surprised how honest you were with me just now. In the past you've tended to avoid speaking from the heart." She walked up to him and closed the gap between them. "It's a side of you that I've rarely see it. Under that tough exterior you can be really sweet."

"Kagome..." InuYasha lifted his hand to her face.

"Yes..?" Kagome said breathlessly.

He leaned down and gave her a kiss. Breaking the kiss he smiled at her.

"Now that we have that out of the way let's get this stuff back to the campsite and help with the set up."

"Y-Yes! Let's do that." Kagome's head was spinning. Holy shit. Did that just happen? Did he just kiss me?! Am I dreaming? What the fuck? I was not expecting any of that. And yet... I wish we could stay out here just the two of us a little bit longer. Walking with the coolers and hula hoops back to the shuttle line she was all in her head about the kiss. What does this mean? Does he want something after the festival? But what if Kikyo comes back into his life what would happen then? I doubt he'd pick me over her. He's always going back to her. Fuck. I don't know. That kiss though it felt sincere.

"Man this line got long."

Kagome snapped out of her thoughts and looked around. "Yeah it did. But I guess that's to be expected since everyone is arriving." She smiled. "We might be here for a little bit." Oh god. What if he kisses me again? What do I do? Ugh! Stop it. Get out of your head. HE KISSED ME. Not the other way around.

"Hey."

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry if I threw you through a loop by kissing you."

"No that's not it. I just got stuck inside my head that's all." Kagome looked up and smiled at him.

"What's going on in that head little Miko?"

"Nothing much. Just thinking."

"Yeah sure."

"I was thinking about how you kissed me Yash."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. I wasn't expecting it..."

"Oh." Inuyasha broke her gaze.

"...but it was nice. I really liked it. You just surprised me that's all. Between what you said and the kiss I got stuck in my head."

"You did?"

"Yes. Like I said I like seeing your sweet side."

"Well just don't let that information go everywhere. I won't live it down with Miroku." Inuyasha laughed.

"I won't. But only if I get to play with your ears when I'm tripping." Kagome giggled.

"Hmmm. Sounds like a deal little Miko." Inuyasha looked at her and stole another kiss.

"As for what's going to happen with whatever this is that's happening right now let's just see where the week d takes us. Deal?"

"Deal." Whatever you want Kagome. I've wanted to do that for a while. Inuyasha looked up as the line moved. "Looks like we're gonna be on the next shuttle."

They waited on line for another 20 minutes chatting and laughing with Inuyasha stealing two more quick kisses from Kagome before they were able to get on the shuttle and head back to camp to help Miroku and Sango with the rest of the set up.

"Hey! We're back!" Kagome waved at Miroku.

"Hey Kagome! Inuyasha! Let me grab that cooler from you Kagome."

"Thanks. Where is Sango?"

"I'm here!" Sango said stepping out of her and Miroku's tent. "We put your tents next to each other. Since Shippo put his groups pop up right up against ours. They are on their second round of trips up the mountain with the rest of their stuff. They're bringing the table too for cooking."

"I'm gonna get my stuff set up in my tent. And then we can start making this campsite look amazing." Kagome smiled as she unzipped her tent. Climbing inside she rolled out her air mattress and started to inflate it. She grabbed her backpack and started to take her clothes out and put them on the other end of the tent. Satisfied with how her tent was set up after making up her bed for the weekend she climbed back out to join Sango with setting up the lights.

"I wanna see the duck."

"Oh! I'll blow it up now if you can help Sango set these lights up."

"Yeah no problem."

Kagome got up and walked over to the bin filled with festival supplies pulling out the tapestries and the other lights. She grabbed an air pump and stepped outside the canopy, took out the duck and started to inflate it. Once it was finished she brought it to the edge of the canopy and laid down on it.

"You look pretty comfy there little Miko." Inuyasha smirked in her direction. He had finished hanging the lights on the inside of the canopy. He came over and sat at the edge of the duck.

"Hey you two we are in public don't fuck on the duck." Miroku laughed.

"Miroku do you want sex later? Then stop." Sango chastised him. "When Shippo gets here we'll finish helping them set up and then why don't we get changed and I think they're gonna open the venue starting at 3 and music won't start on the main stage til 5 but we could hit the waterpark if you guys want."

"That sounds amazing." While we wait for the gates to open we could also hunt down some K and Molly." Kagome said gleefully

"Ooh and some mushrooms."

"Hell yeah to mushrooms." Inuyasha and Miroku said in unison.

Shippo and his friends got back from their second trip up the mountain around 11am.

"Man that line is so long. So glad we finally got back here. It's starting to get hot." Soren said as she walked back into camp.

"Alright! Well we are all here so that means shots!" Miroku said pulling one of the bottles from tequila Inuyasha had bought the night before.

"Do we have shot glasses?" Kagome asked.

"We do! Hold on let me get them." Shiori ran to her campsite and came back out of her tent. She passed out the shot glasses to the whole group while Miroku pour them each a shot.

"To one helluva a weekend!" Miroku said and they all took their shots. "And one more round for good luck." Pouring another shot for all of them. The girls helped set up the rest of the decor setting out camping chairs and blowing up the air chairs and air couch. The boys hung up the rest of the lights and by 1pm they were done with everything and decided to take one more shot before getting changed.

Kagome decided to change into one for her surf bikini's and tie dye shorts. She grabbed her holographic fanny pack that she brought to festivals and shows and put her phone and some cash in it and stepped out of her tent. She looked up and saw InuYasha laying on her inflatable duck catching some sun. She smiled to herself. He wasn't wearing a shirt just laying in the sun with his eyes closed looking so peaceful. He had a tattoo of a samurai tattooed on his right ribcage and his left arm had been completely sleeved and went all the way to his left chest since their encounter four years ago.

"Hey..." Inuyasha sat up on his elbows looking at Kagome. Taking in how she looked in her outfit. "You look cute little Miko."

"Thanks" Kagome felt a blush creep across her face. "Do you want to come with me and look for goodies?"

"Sure let me just grab a shirt"

"Okay. Though you don't need to put one on if you don't want." She winked.

"Still I don't want other girls to get any ideas." He gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Do you wanna get Miroku and Sango?"

"No I'm pretty sure they're fucking."

"Right! Then we'll leave and come back before we head down to the waterpark." She waited as he grabbed his shirt off the couch and put it on. He was wearing an Allman Brothers Eat A Peach tour t shirt.

"Alright let's go." He took her hand and they started to walk through the campsites. "I really like walking through the campsites. It's so cool to see how everyone decorates their campsites."

"Yeah I like it too."

"So we are on a mission so let's go find some drugs so we can party."

"Yes!"

They walked up to a few campsites looking for what drugs they wanted. They found some people walking through the campsites already selling pins and necklaces and glassware. Kagome picked up a one hitter she absolutely fell in love with. She grabbed a pin to add to her festival pin collection and Inuyasha got one as well. They got their goodies and walked back to camp.

"Hey! Where did you two run off to? You weren't doing anything untoward were you?" Miroku laughed.

"No you pervert. We walked through the campsites and bought some drugs and got stopped by some campground vendors so we picked up some stuff."

"Oh that's cool. What did you get?"

"Well we first got the drugs sorted out, we got molly, Ketamine and some mushrooms so we're all set on the drug front. We got some pins and I got this awesome new glass one hitter." Kagome smiled.

"Hell yes!"

"So what were you guys up to? Wait don't answer that."

"We're taking a nap."

"Yeah like I believe that for a second." Inuyasha huffed.

"Where are Shippo, Soten and Shiori?"

"They're sleeping. I'll go over to their tents and wake them up. The gates are about to open soon." Miroku walked over to the other tents.

Once everyone was up and ready they all made their way through the campgrounds to the festival entrance.
