Chapter 2 of Strawberry in Teyvet is here
Before we began I finally thought of how this story would go somewhat, this story would focus on the MAIN Genshin storyline, as I said before I still don't have a schedule for this but hopefully, in the future, I will.
Anyways without any delay let's get right into….

As Ichigo and his new companion walked together on the sandy beach, he couldn't help but wonder about the new world he found himself in. He kept stealing glances at his new travel buddy, who was very much alive, yet could see and interact with him even though he felt no spiritual pressure from her. That was not the only thing he had noticed. He had no idea what species Paimon was, her ability to fly (it was more like floating), and her clothes that made her look like a fairy. Not to mention her striking resemblance to the Unknown God he had fought.
Seriously, what was her problem anyway?
His thoughts were interrupted when he noticed the end of the beach leading off to some green glass that had a neatly done dirt path. Deciding that he had done enough thinking, he looked up at Paimon, who hadn't said a word since they started walking.
"Hey, Paimon, you said something about a Statue of the Seven... What is that anyway?"
"Paimon's glady you ask there are seven statues scattered around the world to represent the seven protections around the world. Each God rules over their respective land with their respective elemental powers," she explained.
("Wait, elemental powers? Does she mean that they can control elements?")
"You mean they have control over certain elements?" he asked as they left the beach and entered the forest. Paimon turned to him, now flying backward.
"Yup, among them are the powers of Pyro, Geo, Dendro, Cryo, Electro, Anemo, and Hydro."
"By default, Pyro represents fire, Geo represents the earth, Electro represents electricity and Hydro represents water, right?, Okay but then what are Dendro, Cryo, and Anemo" as he couldn't make any connections as to what the last three maybe
"Dendro is the element of Grass, Cryo is the element of Ice, and Anemo is the element of Wind"
Before he could ask any more questions he found that Paimon had led him to a small cliff that overlooks a small pound and in the distance he could make out the shape of a city. In the center of the pound, there is a small piece of land with a statue of some person with wings holding both hands out with some sort of ball in its hand although he couldn't see its face clearly since it had a hoodie on
"Oh wow!"
Ichigo seeing the little fairy's face couldn't help but smile as she reminded him of Yuzu his little sister. He wondered how his family was holding up at his sudden disappearance. He shook a way that thought he was going to get home one way or another.
"Hey that's a Statue of the Seven" Paimon ended with her index finger pointing at the statute
"That ... a Statue of the Seven" He almost felt dumb asking the obvious question
However, Paimon didn't seem to mind or notice his obvious question instead she turned around to face him with her hands behind her back
"Yup Paimon not sure if the God you're looking for is the Anemo God but Paimon will take you there first and there is a reason Why"
Ichigo only nods as both he and Paimon carefully navigate their way down the cliff
After some time, they faced a new obstacle. The pound he had seen earlier, while he could have easily jumped over it., He was exhausted seeing as battled against the Unknown God right after his fight with the Quincy king and then was thrown into another world, it really left him exhausted. He was surprised that he still had the energy to keep going. With a heavy sigh, he decided to just get it over with
while he was swimming, Paimon chose to hover above the water instead of swimming
Life isn't fair is it
After a while, he made it to the little piece of land with the Statue now that he got a better look at it he could tell that it was a guy (he didn't know if gods could have gender) under the hoodie he could also see small braids of hair poking out
"So how does one communicate with the Gods"
"Well that's where the Stautes come in"
"Oh, how so?"
"Well most people would come to the Statue and pray in order for the gods to talk to them, but whether the gods answer you or not is a different thing"
"Well got nothing to lose"
He walked up to the state and put his hand on the golden star in the middle, soon as his hand came into contact he heard a voice in the back of his head
"May the wind bless your travels"
A low humming was heard causing the orange teen to look up at where it was coming from. In the statue's hand, the ball grew a bright teal color befor a while a strange teal orb popped out of the ball and flew right at him
Now while this was weird by itself Ichigo didn't feel that the strange orb intended to hurt him, so he allowed it to come close to him before it flew into his chest. As soon as the orb came into contact with him, he felt some of his energy returning, though he still didn't feel completely well. Nonetheless, he felt better than before.
"Ooh! Did you just feel the elements of the world" Paimon asks him as he clenched and unclenched his hands testing his newly gifted power
"I definitely feel stronger than before"
"Seem all you had to do was just touch the statue and you got the power of Anemo!"
"is that all people have to in this world to get power? just touch one of the statutes?"
Paimon however shock her head
"As much as people may want it, people in this world can never get a hold of power as easily as you"
Ichigo looks down at his open plan " It's because I am not from this world right?"
"Ah-ha but putting that aside if we keep heading west from here, we'll eventually reach Mondstadt, The city of Freedom"
("Huh, City of Freedom, like America")
"Mondstadt is the city of wind because they worship the God of Anemo"
"Alright then let's move"
"Kay~ The elements of this world have responded to your prayers and Paimon thinks that a lovely sign"
Ichigo watched as she flew off in the direction of the 'city of freedom' thinking back at what she said
("Lovely sign, huh? More like a sign that they're watching us.")
On their way to the city of freedom, the duo encountered many strange things...
Well mostly for Ichigo it was strange but beside the point. It was strange to him it was since he realized that this world was much like an old RPG Game. One of the common things that he saw was slimes. They came in different colors which Paimon told him that the different colors meant they wielded different elements.
Another thing he saw was a black skin creature with a horn mask that honestly reminded him of hollows mins the lack of holes in its chest and the light brown mane it had
These creatures were called Hilichurls and surprisingly Paimon couldn't say much about them other than their hostile and that there were also big ones called Mitachurls and that like the slimes they too came with different powers.
"So don't need to be human in order to obtain a vision, you could just be a slime or one of those Hilichurls and the gods will give you one"
"Well technically slimes are born with elemental power and as for the hilichurls... well no one really knows why they have it, just that they do"
"Okay with the slimes it makes sense but those hilichurls..."
Paimon sensing her company's discomfort turns to him
"is there something wrong?"
"no no, it's just that those hilichurls they almost feel like-"
A huge amount of spiritual pressure suddenly cut him off. while his sensing of Reiatsu was not the greatest something of this much spiritual pressure would surely be sensed even by him. While it was nowhere near Captain level it was far higher than a lieutenant
"Hey in the sky" came from Paimon as she looked up following her action, he looked up causing his eyes to widen
"No way"
Up in the sky was a huge dragon. The dragon was mainly blue except for its underside which was light blue it also had four wings, two large ones at the dragon's shoulder and two smaller ones around its center back. The dragon also had three tails, the middle one was bigger than the two thinner ones. While he could see it face he could also make out two blue horns turn black at the tip going up.
"It's heading for the heart of the forest, come on"
"Idiot! don't run off on your own"
He followed her as she headed off to the heart of the forest after some time Ichigo caught up to her where she was hiding in front of a tree he was about to ask her what she was thinking but she put a finger over her mouth in a sh-sh motion instructing him to be quiet
Taking the hint he hid with her, he peeked around the tree to see the dragon and guy dressed in green with braids
"...it alright now, I'm back," the green hat-wearing guy told his friend
"is he taking to... a dragon"
Ichigo was about to add more when a small but noticeable burst of Anemo burst out from his hands
The dragon sensed the small brust knew that it was not alone, so roared at the green hat person who was shielding themself by the powerful roar, it tried to swipe with its talon at the man but he jumped back. The man must sense it to as he looks in Ichigo's direction
"Who's there!?" the man said but could not see as the dragon's body blocked his view
The man now realized that his identity might be exposed back away before turning into a burst of wind
The dragon turned to Ichigo and co and released a mighty roar that caused the tree around to dance
Ichigo saw the man disappear into a buff of air but couldn't do anything about it as he shielded both himself and Pamion from the dragon's roar, It had finally let up its roar before it took to the sky flying away from the scene
"Just what was that? Paimon taught we were gonna get eaten" came from a shaky Pamion as she floated around to face him
"Is taking to dragons normal?" Paimon who had calmed herself down shook her head
"of course not! why do you think it would be normal?"
"just checking, different world remember" said Ichigo as his eyes landed on some red jem where the dragon previously was Paimon followed where his eyes landed seeing the red gem as well
"There some kind shiny red thing on the big rock over there...let go take a closer look"
Nodding his head he and Paimon move toward the strange red gem
"Be careful! Paimon doesn't have a good feeling about this..."
"You're the one who wanted to take a closer look"
Reaching the red gem Ichigo could tell that whatever they were looking at was definitely connected to the dragon. It was shaped like a teardrop and the color was a darker red almost crimson-like.
"Paimon has never seen something like this, so Paimon doesn't know what it is"
"It's definitely connected to that dragon that for sure"
"All knows Paimon that it is dangerous, best we put it away for now"
"Didn't you just say that it was dangerous"
"well yeah but better to take it with us than rather have some random adventurer find it"
While Ichigo didn't want to take it should it prove to be dangerous he also didn't want some random person to find it and possibly be killed.
Deciding that him taking it would best option he reached his hand out and grabbed the Crismon tear which he then stored inside his rope.
"Okay, we've got it! now let's get out of here"
Following her lead, they both found a path that led out of the forest. At the end of the path, he could see the city and how close they were to it, before they could continue a voice cut them off.
"Hey, You! Stop right there!" running could be heard as a girl in red jumped off the rock that was to their side, rolling so she wouldn't hurt herself she stood up and faced the two of them
she wore a jumper-like outfit composed of dark brown shorts, a red top that has only a hood and sleeves, a white and brown top with a strange crest in gold on the front, red stockings, and white thigh-high boots embellished with gold linings and symbols, above her chest were some brown googles and hanging from her left pocket was a red gem with a fire symbol
"May the Aenmo protect you, stranger! I am Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius" The girl now known as Amber finished her salute
"You don't look like citizens from Mondstadt, Explain yourselves!" she asked them specifically Ichigo as her gaze lingered on the hilt of Ichigo's sword, which was visible from behind his back. Sensing the knight's unease, Ichigo and Paimon slowly raised their hands in a peaceful gesture
"We're not looking for trouble" Paimon waved both hands in front of her hoping to defuse the situation before things escalate
"That's what all the trouble markers say" Mondstadt was in a state of crisis no thanks to the dragon the lasting she wanted was more problems, she watched the two of them with a gean eye they both wore weird clothes that she had never seen, but her gaze was more on the orange hair man rather than his flying mascot
"She's right, we're not here to cause trouble. My name is Ichigo, Ichigo Kurosaki," he introduced himself to her
She didn't say anything as she kept her eyes on him, the way he dressed screamed that he was an Inazuman and while she didn't know much about them she did hear that Inazuma were locked off due to a powerful thunderstorm. How he had managed to get through it she had no idea but she wasn't taking any chances letting a sigh escape her mouth
"Sorry, but I have never seen you or your... Mascot here what the deal with it anyway?" Her brown eyes shift over to Paimon while she has seen many people of all shapes and sizes, not once has she seen someone quite like her
Paimon was about to call her out on how rude she was before but Ichigo beat her to it
"Her name is Paimon and she and I are friends" Paimon perked up when he called her his friend they had only traveled together for a few days and he already thought of her as a friend.
"We've only been traveling partners for a few days but..."
"If you don't like it, you can be Emergency Food" he allowed a small smirk to creep on his face
"HEY! That's even worse than being a Mascot" Amber sweatdrop as she watched their interaction
"So to sum it up your traveling partners, right? Well, look there have been sightings of a large dragon around these parts, it's best to get inside the city as soon as possible. It's not far from here I'll escort you there" While she still may not trust them that doesn't mean she wants them to get hurt or worse should they encounter it.
"Oh? aren't you out here for another reason" Paimon questions the knight surely she would be out here for a different reason
"I am, but worry not I can keep you both safe while doing that, besides... I'm still not sure I can trust you two just yet" While she was escorting them into the city make no mistake this is just so they won't run into Stormteror
"That's a rather rude way to speak to guests," said Ichigo in a monotone voice. However, he applauded her for taking precautions
Realizing her mistake she was quick to correct herself
"I give you my apologies, uh strange... but respectable travelers" she finished with a nervous simile
("So fake") both he and Paimon sweatdrop as they watch the knight rube the back of her head with a nervous laugh
"So suspicious travelers, what brings you to Mondstadt" came from Amber who was walking in front of the due. They had been walking in silence ever since they left and it was starting to get a little awkward. So maybe starting a conversation would ease the tension
Paimon looked at her traveling buddy wondering what she should say, Ichigo was also wondering what he should tell her. She looks trustworthy but what if she thinks he lying, she already thinks he is a bad guy if she finds out he lying
"I got separated from my home during a fight with some very bad people" Not entirely true but it's also not a full-on lie
"And Paimon is his travel partner, helping him find his way back home"
"Ah..." Amber hadn't really experienced something like this and while she had her fair share, being separated from one's home was sadly not one of them, she didn't know how to respond to that
sensing her sadness Ichigo decides to switch the topic
"What exactly is it you need to do?"
"Oh! yeah Paimon remembers you saying you needed to finish"
Amber put that thought at the back of her mind for now as she took them off the path they were on "It's simple, You will understand in a bit"
After some offroading, Paimon spotted something in the distance she was about to tell the others when Amber ran past her and hid in a nearby bush followed by Ichigo who grap Paimon and carried her into the bush
"HE-"
"shhh" Both Ichigo and Amber shh her before Ichigo pointed in the direction they were facing Paimon turned to where he was pointing and saw three medium-sized huts
"Ah! A Hilichurl camp" said a quiet Paimon who floated down to not be spotted
"Yup these Monsters have been setting up camp too close to the city, Acting Grand Master Jean has tasked me to clear out their Camps... I didn't think there would be this many" she mumbled the last part to herself hoping they didn't hear her.
Lucky for her Ichigo didn't seem to hear but instead took the time to study his opponent. They were differently smarter than they looked seeing as how they set up lookout towers and even had guards with shields while other guards had Axes he was going to assume both were the Mitachurl, Paimon told him about seeing as how they looked the same
During that he had come up with a plan of action, he turned to the outrider catching her attention
"I got a plan, You take out those Archers while facing the ones on the ground" he didn't leave any room for argument as he was out of the bushes as fast as he told her of his plan. A sigh escaped her mouth as she followed his plan and went to find a good angle where she could shoot
"Hey, Ichigo would you be okay?" Paimon asked as she followed him, while he carried two swords she had never seen him in a fight before
"I'll be fine you should be more concerned about yourself"
"huh? What do you mean?" she titled her head to the side rather cutely
"Well you don't exactly scream fighter," he told her as she angrily pouted stomping her feet in the air
"Hey! I will you that Paimon is quite a fighter" Buff out her chest while putting both hands on her hips
"Oh yeah? why don't we spit it then I'll take 1 camp while you take 2 camps since you're 'quite the fighter' you say you are"
"Um... What Paimon meant to say was that she'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. Yes, that's definitely what Paimon said," she explained before disappearing in a burst of stars.
He watched as his companion turned into stars, no doubt something he had to ask her about later, but that could wait right now he had a job to do
Amber had found a good spot from where she could offer support to her new ally. While she had wanted to advise him not to go alone, there was just something about the way he carried himself that made her think he was unfazed by the Hilichurls. Moreover, his swords were impressive; she had only seen someone with a sword that big before, Eula, and While it was not common to use two swords, it was a rare sight to see.
Her train of thought came to an end as she saw Ichigo move toward the hilichurls, One of the footmen hilichurls seemed to have spotted him as they sounded the alarm the rest, so much for the elements surprise
Ichigo was never one for Stealth, even when he tried to be sneaky he ended up falling horribly, so he just stuck with going in loud, as he watched the rest of the hilichurls now aware of his presence. Ichigo grabbed the handle of the bigger Zangetsu sword on his back, ready to draw it as one brave hilichurl jumped at him with a wooden bat ready to beat him with it, it Sadly never got the chance
"Huh?" Amber was known by many for her keen eye, which was essential for her to wield a bow and hit her targets. It was also a requirement to become an Outrider. So, how did she miss what just happened? One moment, a hilichurl was about to attack Ichigo with a bat. The next moment, the hilichurl was sliced in half, and its body evaporated into black vapor, like all hilichurls do when die. What made it worse was that Amber didn't even see the Ichigo draw their blade. Speaking of the blade, it was an unfamiliar sight to her. It was a large black sword that resembled a Kyher knife. The middle part of the sword was hollow, and the handle was wrapped in white cloth, unlike other swords.
AN: Hey Sorry I am taking up your reading experience just want to let you know that this is my first time doing a fight scene so if it sucks just go easy on me I'll get better as time goes on. Cool? Cool
The rest of the hilichurls now saw the soul reaper as a threat to their camp, without any warning Ichigo dased at them hoping to end this fight as soon as possible he was cutting through them like butter in a hot knife. Amber was in pure shock as she witnessed the fight if you can even call it one, in the span of a few seconds he had already taken out more than 15 hilichruls. She was snapped out of her trances when she noticed something from the corner of her eye.
Amidst the chaos, an Archer hilichrul had its crossbow aimed at Ichigo who was continuously moving around, making it difficult for the archer to hit the target. Although Amber believed that the archer wouldn't hit Ichigo, she did not want to take any chances. She materialized her bow (Hunter's Bow) and infused the arrow tip with Pryo, then pulled the string back, and let it go as the arrow flew through the air before hitting its target killing the hilichurl instantly, her eyes scanned the area for any other enemies that may get in Ichigo way
Back with Ichigo, he was clearing out enemies left and right, he could hear arrows zip through the air hitting some of the arrow hilichurls on the towers no doubt the work of Outrider Amber. Finishing up with the second camp Ichigo sped toward the third one in front where about ten or more footmen hilichruls with all bats, going in for a wide swing
Clang*
Ichigo's eyes widened as one of the axes Mitachurl had stopped Zangetsu it struggled against the blade before going for an attack forcing Ichigo to jump back a few feet as two more Mitachurls came to the ad of their comrade one with axes and the other with a wooden shields. Ichigo saw the first one Mitachurl, the one that stopped him punch the ground a second later it raised its hand up now holding a pyro slime Ichigo wondered what it was going to do with the fire slime. He got his answer as the Mitachurl smashed the pyro slime against his axe said axe now was infused with the power of pyro. The other Axe Mitachrul did this as well its slime was electro
Realizing the danger he was in he drew forth his smaller blade, now dual-wielding both Zangetsu's no words were spoken (not that the two-party would understand each other) as the Electro axe Mitachurl charged at him before hitting the ground causing him to go up in the air ready to do an overhead swing on teen's head. Ichigo Flash step out of the way as the electro Mitachurl slammed into the ground When he reappeared the wooden shield Mitachurl suddenly came at him, Ichigo swung his bigger blade but was stopped by the shield, smirking slightly
"Nice shield you got there, too bad it's a wooden one!" Putting more force into his blade Ichigo tore through the shield and cut the Mitachurl in half turning it into black vapor. Through the black vapor was the pyro axe Mitachrul as it swung at Ichigo hard, he blocked it but the attack sent him back to where the Electro one was, it went for a wide overhead strike blocking it with the bigger Zangestu he sent it to the ground as the pyro join the fight with horizontal cut aim at his neck hoping to cut Ichigo head off.
Ducking under the attack, Ichigo used his smaller one to uppercut the Pyro Mitachrul, barely missing him but managing to cut off its right horn. The Electro Mitachurl then tried to attack him, but Ichigo dodged it. The Pyro Mitachrul was now furious with Ichigo for taking his horn, charging at him followed by the Electro one. Pary after Pary Ichigo could see why Paimon was worried for him, the Electro one was much faster than the Pyro one, while the Pyro one was definitely the strong one out of the two. He wasn't sure if it was because of the Vision or not.
Amber watched as Ichigo fought with the two Mitachurls and while she would have loved to help him, she was currently dealing with her own problem
Woosh*
An arrow flew past the tree she was hiding behind before she unhid from the tree and fired from her bow hitting its target, it was short-lived as another arrow came at her. Rolling out of the way she hid behind a nearby tree as the rest of the arrows flew past her
Getting a little frustrated with how long the fight was going on Ichigo decided to end the fight right there right now, with a powerful swing of his sword he sent both Mitachurl back and holding the smaller Zangestu in front of him he draws a small line of Resiatu horizontally, looking at the perfectly drawn line Ichigo calmly spoke again
Getsuga Tenshou
Before it was fired off the normally golden line of Resiatu turned a teal-green color as it was then launched off creating a powerful air vacuum that suck everything in and those that got sucked in were all sliced inside
Quickly stabbing the bigger Zangetsu into the earth Ichigo holds on tightly as he watches all the remaining hilichurls get sucked in inside the deadly air vacuum. It wasn't only him who was trying not to get sucked in as Amber was doing everything in her power to not let go of the tree. After what seems like forever the air vacuum finally let up allowing them to see the damage that was done. Amber was in pure shock at the sight in front of her
"No way.." everything was gone not a single trace of life was left behind, not the camp, not the lookout tower, nothing, everything was just gone. On the other hand, Ichigo was more surprised about how his Gestsuga Tenshou became an Air blender
("I couldn't do that before") his thoughts went back to when Paimon told him that had received the power of Anemo "so That Anemo huh...?"
"Puff* I'm ba- WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED HERE!?" came from Paimon as she came back from wherever she was, Amber who came down from her spot look at Ichigo with Wonder, Confusion, and fear, She turned her head at the person who had caused all of this as he was still registering what had happened ("I couldn't do that before")
"W-Who are you?" She felt the need to ask again
Putting the Lagrer blade on his shoulder he turns to her, she was going to find out one way or another
"Names Ichigo Kurosaki Substitute Soul Reaper"
"One Freshmen's Toast and Two Rosemary Steek, will that be all?" the Waitress of Good Hunter asked as she took both of the Outrider and Reaper orders.
"Yes that will be everything," Amber said as she handed back the Medu
"Okay then I will bring out your water in a few" Sara (The Waitress) said as she took back the Medu from Amber and headed back to the kitchen not before glancing at the Orange Hair man and his little fairy
Ichigo had taken the time to unsheathe both Zangestu and hung the smaller trench Knife counterpart by the chain at the end of the handle. He propped them to the side of his seat.
After the Waitress was out of earshot Amber turned to face the Soul Reaper who both he and the Fairy were looking around. There were a few questions on her mind but they were manly about the Strawberry Shinigam.
Ichigo had to admit there he had never been to a place quite like Mondstadt feeling the Outrider glaze he turned to her who is eyeing him. After a few seconds of silence, he felt the need to break it.
"Something wrong?"
"What exactly are you?" Coming out with the big question
"Oh Yeah! Paimon remembers you mentioned that you are something called a Soul Reaper. What is that anyways"
"Soul Reaper or Shinigami ar- "Shinigami?" cutting Ichigo off was amber, a while back a merchant had stopped by town, and since it was a slow day for the knights she decided to check it. She ended up buying a book that contained some old Inazuma folklore and while it had been a while since she read it, she does remember it said something about Shinigami's
"You know what there are?" asked with a raised eyebrow
"Aren't they the people that guide souls to Celestia in Inazuma folklore?" getting a nod to confirm her answer, she had a confused look on her face and was about to ask more had it not been for Sara who had brought out the there water
Thanking the Waitress Ichigo to a sip of his water as he thought ("Celestia? Is that this version of Heaven?) putting it down he spoke again
"Well that saves me having to explain it, but yes that's what there are," he said as he took another sip of his water either this water was good or he was just super thirsty
"But aren't they fictional?" there was no way some old stories about spirits were real
he couldn't help but give a small chuckle, had you told him years back that Shinigami's, Quincy's, Hollow, the supernatural he probably tell you to stop watching anime
"That's what most people think but don't let that fool you, we are real" Finishing he took another sip of his water GOD DANM this water good. Looking into his eyes she couldn't find any sort of lie
"Does that mean you here to..." If what what she read was true then that must mean that he was here to take someone's soul and as a knight of Favonius she couldn't allow that, even if she was shaking in her boots at the thought of fighting the Grimm Reaper
"Am not here to take someone to the afterlife, I already told you why am here" Ichigo had noticed her distress and could understand the last thing he wanted was his was for him to be a wanted criminal
sigh*"I apologize but you must understand, the last thing this city needs is more problems" she read somewhere that bowing one's head is a sign of apology. Test that theory she didn't get fair before Ichigo stopped her by putting his hand up
"It's not a problem You're just doing your Job" he gave a wave to dismiss her, Amber gave a small simile thanking him for understanding
The two sat in silence after the whole ordeal
"Awakard" came from Paimon who had been quiet throughout their conversation
Not a second later the Waitress brought out their food

I was not planning on having this chapter come out so late, this was originally supposed to come out much earlier but I had to go on a school trip and make a report about it, and I also kinda got distracted by getting both Eula and Kazuha soo.. yeah
