Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, school's almost over and I've been playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and while I'm going to add Gen 9 Pokemon to the story, I have something else planned. And those plans are mixed with The Last Black and White Dragons(Which is done.) but you'll have to wait until the end of season 3 for me to post it. The reason for that is, It has some stuff that I've yet to show you. So you'll have to wait.
Now something else before we start. My Trainer Of Vesperia story is almost over, and I'm having a vote for what story should replace it. This new story will be a Pokemon crossover, with stuff from Gen 9 mixed in it like how this one is mixed with Gen 5. The vote has already started and it will end a week after I post the very next chapter of Fire emblem. Now for the stories you can vote for.
1. The first option is something Nitro Zeus told me about. It's called Mysticons. Mysticons is a fantasy world mixed with the common things we have in our lives. The show is about a group of girls gaining an ancient power as old darkness returns to the world.
Now for a taste of the crossover. Madness burns a world to the ground, and with the help of a phantom 2 children and their Pokemon escape to Drake City, on a world where Pokemon have lived in peace with the natives inhabited for over a thousand years. But them being there will cause darkness to return, but they will also bring heroes back to this world.
2. The second one is from my friend Phantom Cross, he thought I would do another Tales game, and after thinking about it. I picked Tales Of The Abyss. A game where our heroes are caught in the middle of two groups, one trying to make things go down their path and the other trying to burn the world to break free of this path.
Now for a taste of the crossover. Meeting with a relick that is said to break the world from the score brings much more than planned. Now the world has changed, can fate be as well.
3. The last one is also from Nitro Zeus. It's called Lolirock. A gentle show where a girl finds out she is magical and is the last hope to stop a great evil. But all she wants is to be a singer, not a magical princess.
Now for a taste of the crossover. Two girls with a dream to be performers in a world that has been changed thanks to Pokemon shouldn't have to be mixed with monsters and evil magic users going after them.
4. This is the wild vote, if you all have a good idea for a Pokemon Crossover with scarlet and Violet, and if I like the idea, it will go here, and we'll see what others think. (P.S. No How to Train Your Dragon. Not that I don't want to do that. I feel like it would be better if it wasn't limited to just Gen 9, and maybe it will replace Korra when I'm done when her story is over.)
Now the rules for the vote are simple. First the votes should be a review, so others can see it, and see if they also like your idea for the Gen 9 Crossover. You can vote for at most two stories, just in case you can't pick between the two. And I will not count votes from someone whose name is just "Guest". This doesn't mean you have to have an account to vote, or that it has to be a real name. I just want us to be honest, and not have someone with only a "Guest" name vote for the story he or she wants 10 times.

Chapter 22
The Midnight Desert And The Hidden Thieves
The Sky Of Xadia
The arrow Ethari fired was flying through the sky heading to the Dragon Queen. But right as it flew over a desert with black sand. Two things started to dive bomb it. The arrow nearly dodged the attack. The two attacking the arrow were an elf and a Pokemon.
The elf was a female, with a slim body, broad hips, and purple-blue hued skin tone. She had bi-color eyes, a gold right eye and a cyan left eye, purple lips. Feather wings attached to her lower back. Her hair was long with the front being longer and cleaner and the the back messy and short, transitions from white to blue hue, over a cyan color into a dark blue, a set of two horns in placed on the top and side of her head, the upper ones being small and brown and the lower ones being bent and white. She was dressed in a white & light blue shirt, thick dark brown jacket with white sleeves, woven leather bracers, gray legging with light blue features, and tall, gray thigh-high greaves.
The Pokemon was a stork-like creature, with black feathers at the end of its wings, red talons and beak, black eyes, a small patch of feathers on its head, and had a long patch of white feathers that formed an arpen.
The elf and Pokemon chased the arrow through the sky. "Bombirdier" The Pokemon said, as it made rocks fall from the sky in front of arrow, slowing the arrow down, and giving the elf the opening to fire a blade from her staff, hitting the arrow. This made the arrow crash to the ground, and it turned back into a normal, broken, arrow.
As the elf picked up her blade, the Pokemon picked up the half of the arrow with the note on it. The Pokemon brought it to the elf. The elf took the note from the arrow, and the Pokemon tossed the arrow away. "Hmm." the elf said, reading the note.
A Forest in Xadia
Meanwhile in a forest nearby Allen, Callum, Rayla, Kali, and their Pokemon where riding, two beasts they got form Ethari, Rapidash, and Bouffalant, with Zym flying ahead of everyone. And they would have been making good time, if not for the fact that Callum had no control over his mount, and Allen had to have Bouffalant help keep Callum's mount under control.
But even with Bouffalant's help, Callum still had very bad riding skills. As shown by him falling off his mount, but still had his legs hugging his mount. "I'm fine. I'm fine. This is fine." Callum said to everyone, trying to act like this was no big deal. "Bouffalant." Bouffalant said, as he used his horns to help Callum up, as Yanma helped Callum as well.
"I know bud." Allen said to Bouffalant, as Bouffalant and Callum's mount moved faster, catching up to the others. But when they caught up, they saw that Rayla had a sad look on her face. And no one knew what to say to her, but Callum tired. "So, um, yesterday must have been a hard day for you." Callum said to Rayla.
"Not really." Rayla said to Callum. "Rayla, it's okay to talk about how you're feeling." Kali said to Rayla. "I'm fine." Rayla said to Kali. "You know. Back when I was a kid, my family used to do this thing called "Big feeling time".You close your eyes, and ask yourself if you have any big feelings. Then you say them out loud, and the other person says they hear your feelings, and it makes you feel good." Callum said to Rayla.
"That sounds like something Harrow would make." Allen said to everyone. "Humans are so wired." Rayla said, riding ahead of everyone, with Zym on her mount. "He's just trying to help. But that does sound like a weird thing to do." Kali said to everyone, as she and Allen moved up to Rayla.
Callum then made his mount go faster, only for him having a hard time controlling it. Luckily it stopped when they reached the rest of the group. "I'm just saying, you've been through a lot lately. It would be understandable if you have some…" Callum said to Rayla. "Leave me alone." Rayla said to Callum, before riding off again.
"Big, big feelings." Callum said to Rayla. "If you don't stop pestering me about this right now, I'm going to give you a big feeling on the side of your head." Rayla said to Callum, before riding off ahead. "Well she's definitely bottling some feelings." Allen said to everyone. "And it's all Grav's fault." Kali said to everyone.
"Who?" Callum asked Kali. "Grav. A noble Moonshadow elf. He was part of the Dragon Guard. According to him, he was the only one who stayed and battled to protect the Dragon Prince. But when he failed to save the prince, he chased after the evil humans, killing most of them in the name of justice. When he got back to Silvergrove, he told everyone this." Kali said to everyone.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Ezran was sitting on the throne, with Drake by his side, as Saleer walked up to them. "Prince Kasef of Neolandia requests an audience." Saleer said to Ezran, before some guards opened the throne room door, letting Kasef in. "Prince Kasef, why are you here?" Drake asked Kasef.
"I'm here to deliver an ultimatum." Kasef said, supsing Ezran and bait, and making Drake and the Pokemon go on edge. "It means I'm forcing you to make a final decision." Kasef said to Ezran. "I know what an ultimatum is." Ezran said to Kasef.
Kasef walked to the war table with a model of Katolis on it. "Does this thing have more pieces?" Kasef asked. Then one of the advisors opened a drawer with more pieces in it. "Katolis and Neolandia were not the only kingdoms attacked. The King of Del bar and Queen of Evenere were slain. Their people are angry and want justice. They are ready to wage war on Xadia. Their armies have arrived in Katolis." Kasef said to everyone, placing flags of the other kingdoms all over the map, and surprising everyone.
"You dare violate our borders!" Opal said to Kasef. "We do. Here is your ultimatum. If you will not stand with us, then you stand in our way." Kasef said to everyone. "King Ezran, we can show Xadia the strength and righteousness of the human kingdoms. Four armies, joined as one!" Kasef said to Ezran, walking to Ezran, but stopped when Drake pointed his staff at Kasef.
"Strength?! Righteousness?! Don't make me laugh. Those are the last things you'll show Xadia. They think us savages, and after everything we did. I don't blame them. And you won't help change that thought. But now's not the time to act like monsters. It's time to be better. It's time to walk away." Drake said to Kasef, lowering his staff. "Walk away. After everything they've done. We must fight." Kasef said to Drake.
"I've already told you. Katolis will not wage war on Xadia." Ezran said to Kasef, getting off the throne. "Then tomorrow at dawn, three armies will wage war on Katolis." Kasef said to Ezran, shocking Ezran and making Ezran sad. This made Kasef smirk and he walked away.
But before he could exit, lightning struck right in front of him. When Kasef turned around, Drake was right in his face, and with only his left hand, Drake slammed Kasef into the door, and lifted him up, all the while he faintly glowed black.
"IF YOU WISH TO DIE! THEN I WILL KILL YOU NOW!" Drake said to Kasef, his voice like thunder. "I wish to bring justice to humanity!" Kasef said to Drake, trying to get free, but was unable. "SAYS THE ONE PLANNING TO GET A LOT OF PEOPLE KILLED." Drake said to Kasef. "I'm not the one who's going to get people killed, it's your King." Kasef said to Drake, pointing to Ezran, making Ezran feel worse, and causing Drake to tighten his grip on Kasef.
"NO IT IS YOU! IF YOU MATCH INTO XADIA, YOU WILL DIE FORM THE POWER THEY HAVE, NOT TO MENTION ALL THE POKEMON THAT WILL ATTACK YOU FOR INVADING THEIR HOMES. AND IF YOU ATTACK US, YOU'LL LOSE MOST OF YOUR ARM, YOU'D BE LUCKY HAVING 1 ARMIES WORTH OF HEALTHY WARRIORS TO FIGHTING YOU POINTLESS FIGHT." Drake said to Kasef.
"Drake, that's enough!" Corvus said to Drake. Drake then let out a roar, using Kasef to force open the doors, and throwing Kasef into the hallway. "ON THE BATTLEFIELD I WILL FIND YOU, AND I WILL END YOU'RE MADNESS!" Drake said to Kasef, before slamming the door.
Meanwhile, in the dungeon Aaravos's caterpillar was crawling all over Viren's right eye. "What are you doing?" Viren asked, freaking out a bit. "Preparing you for greatness. Now, be still." Aaravos said to Viren. Viren then layed down, and let the caterpillar do its thing, not that Viren liked it.
A Forest in Xadia
Back in Xadia, Allen, Callum, Rayla, Kali, Zym, and their Pokemon, were almost near a desert with the black sand. Tha';s when they heard some rustling and stopped. "Someone's coming." Rayla said to everyone. Rayla got off the mount, and got ready for a fight, as Allen and Callum put their discuss' on.
That's when they noticed the female elf and the bird Pokemon that attacked the arrow came down from the trees, landing on the ground in front of them, with the bird on the female's shoulders. "Greartings, travelers. My name is Naimi-Selari-Nykratia. But they call me "Nyx." and this lovely lady bird of mine is named Arithi." the female elf said to everyone, pointing to the bird Pokemon on her shoulder.
"That's a Bombirdeir. That's a rare one." Allen said. "A what?" Callum asked Allen. Allen then pulled out his Pokedex.
Bombirdier / Item Drop Pokemon / Dark And Flying Type / Bombardier uses the apron on its chest to bundle up food, which it cherries back to its nest. It enjoys dropping things that make a loud noise.
"Bombirdeir only live in one part of the world back home, making them a rare Pokemon to see." Allen said to Bombirdeir." Allen said to Callum, as he put his Pokedex away. "Hi, Nyx and Arithi. My name's Rayla. They call me Rayla. And I'm in a bad mood. Either you and your Bombirder fly away now, or I'm going to use these blades to do something that's gonna cheer me up." Rayla said to Nyx, pointing one of her blades at Nyx.
"Ah, I should have guessed. You're the banished Moonshadow Elf." Nyx said to Rayla, pushing Rayla's blade down. "What? What are you talking about?" Rayla asked Nyx, moving her sword back to Nyx's neck. "We are an emissary of the Dragon Queen. She received your message, and she sent me to help you. We are at your service." Nyx said to Rayla, as Rayla backed away from Nyx, and Nyx and Arithi bowed to them. "Bombirder." Arithi said to Rayla.
Then Nyx noticed Allen and Callum. "And you two must be…" Nyx said to them, but stopped, letting them introduce themselves. "We're an Earthblood Elf. Oi!" Callum said to Nyx, with a thick accent, and a mean look from Allen. Nyx then pulled out the note. "Hmm. Message said you'd be traveling with human companions." Nyx said to everyone.
"Oh, does it, now?" Callum asked Nyx, with his thick accent, before removing the leaves and sticks from him, like it was a big reveal. "That was me all along! I was one of the humans." Callum said to Nyx. "You didn't have to do that, you know." ALlen said to Callum, taking out his sticks and leaves.
That's when Nyx noticed Zym. "And there he is, the dragon of the hour. Oh, and he has his mother's eyes." Nyx said to everyone. "Okay Nyx, how exactly are you and Arithi going to help us?" Kali asked Nyx. "I have been authorized by the Dragon Queento fly him directly home." Nyx said everyone.
But that's when one of Rayla's blades got between Nyx, Arithi and Zym. "That;s not going to happen." Rayla said to Nyx, before taking Zym, and putting Zym on her mount. "We're doing just fine on our own, Nyx." rayla said to Nyx, as Callum lost control of his mount for a few seconds.
"I can get the baby dragon home fast, and that's what matters most." Nyx said, waking up to everyone, only for Rayla to once again, point her swords at Nyx, causing Nyx and Arithi to put their hands and wings in the air. "We're not letting you take Zym." Rayla said to Nyx.
"She has a point, we don't know you, and you're asking for us to hand over Zym. For all we know you could be a thief." Allen said to Nyx. "Whoa! Okay, okay, understood. Well, how about this? I can give you all a ride." Nyx said to everyone, as she and Arithi lowered their hands and wings, and acted normal.
"Not interested." Rayla said to Nyx, still pointing her sword at Nyx. "Are you sure? How do you plan to cross the Midnight Desert?" Nyxvasked Rayla. "Do we look stupid? We're not crossing through the Midnight Desert. We're going around it." Rayla said to Nyx, lowering her weapons, and putting her hands on her hips.
"The Dragon Queen is dying, and you would waste a week, when I can take you straight across in two days?" Nyx said to everyone, making everyone look at each other. "Despite the rise, I think we should take it. Getting Zym home to his mother is the most important thing, for both the world and for the Dragon Queen's health." Allen said to everyone.
"In that case. How can you get us across that death trap?" Kali asked Nyx. "Follow us." Nyx said to everyone, as she led the way.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle in Katolis. Ezran watched Kasef leave, as Drake and Opeli planned for the battle at the war table. "King Ezran, Kasef's threat is terrible, but we can win." Opeli said to Ezran, getting Ezran's attention. "What do you mean?" Ezran asked Opeli.
"You Aunt Amaya, and your mother before her, saw to it that our army has the best training and most disciplined force in the kingdoms. The coming battle won't be easy, but we will triumph." Opeli said to Ezran, leading Ezran to the war table. "But at what cost?" Ezran asked Opeli and Drake. "The necessary cost. Many lives." Opeli said to Ezran.
"How many?" Ezran asked Opeli. "No one can say for sure." Opeli said to Ezran. "How many? Ezran asked Opeli, getting angry with Opeli's response. "I don't know." Opeli said to Ezran. "Give me an answer, a number." Ezran said to Opeli, with a commanding voice.
"Thousands. Probably tens of thousands." Opeli said to Ezran, making Ezran feel side. "That's no triumph." Ezran said, looking at the board. "Ezran, I'm sorry. But Kasef has left us no choice. And thanks to Kasef these people are going to die, either by Kasef madness or by the elves and dragon angered by us marching an army into their land for war. The best we can do is stop Kasef here and now and try to make it so we don't lose so many lives.
The Midnight Desert
Back in Xadia, Allen, Callum, Rayla, Kali, Zym, Nyx and their Pokemon, stopped at the end of the black sand desert. "The Midnight Desert is hot, haunted, and horrifying. The black sand soaks up the sun, so in the daytime it's hotter than any desert known to elf. And the night is worse." Nyx said to everyone.
"That's the haunted and horrifying part?" Callum asked Nyx. "it's infested with soulfangs serpents. They suck the spirit out of their victims, turning them into barely-living husks." Nyx said to everyone, making Zym whimper. "No wonder you call this place a death trap." Allen said to Kali. "Yeah, it's safer and smarter to go around it. Only the desperate or foolish dare enter it." Kali said to Allen.
"Well we're pretty foolish and desperate." Callum said to Kali. "That's not a good thing. So Nyx, how do you and Arithi plan to get us through certain death?" Allen said to Callum and asked Nyx. "We're going to be above all that nasty stuff. Literally." Nyx said to everyone, as they noticed a giant something walking towards them. "There she is. That's our ride. An Ambler." Nyx said to everyone, before they all flew/rode off to the Ambler.
A couple minutes later, they reached an enormous creature, with a slender body, very long four legs with two toes, camel like snout with a white beard, giraffe-like size neck with thick white fur covering it, sic long flap like ears, a plume of feathers over its blue eyes, it's pelt is bright brown with pink, strip-like marks stretching across it's backs and upper legs, white under belly, and a very long tail with a fan like end. On its back was a platform, and on the back of its head was a saddle.
Nyx and Arithi then flew up to the Ambler's head, and nuzzled it. "She'll get us to the central oasis by sundown, and we'll spend the night." Nyx said to everyone, she and Arithi before flying down to the others. "Then, tomorrow, we come out the other side, and the baby dragon's almost home." Nyx said to everyone.
"What do you think?" Callum asked everyone. "The Dragon Queen is dying. And this is going to save us a week." Rayla said to everyone. "In other worlds, we don't have a choice." Kali said to everyone. "Okay, let's ride." Nyx said to everyone, as she and Arithi flew up to the head, and the Ambler placed her tail in front of everyone, letting them get on her tail.
Once everyone was on her tail, the Ambler lifted everyone up to the platform on her back. With everyone in, Nyx made the Ambler march across the Midnight Desert.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle in Katolis, Ezran was alone in the throne room, laying on the floor, looking at a piece from the war table. Worried about him, Lycanroc and Bait let out a worried cry, as Lycanroc nuzzled Ezran, and Bait moved into Ezran's back giving Ezran a massage. "Thanks, Bait and Lycanroc. That helps." Ezran said to them. "Lycanroc." Lycanroc said to Ezran, as Bait let out a grunt, and got off Ezran.
"Each one of these pieces is 500 people. Five hundred men and women. Some are moms and dads, and have kids waiting for them at home. All of those are sons and daughters. Sisters, brothers, friends. They're real people, Bait" Ezran said to Lycanroc and Bait, as he picked up the piece, and sat up.
"And after the battle…" Ezran said to them, placing the piece on the throne, and knocking it over. Bait and Lycanroc understood what he was saying. "How can I let this happen? I know Drake said that this will happen because of Kasef, but I can't help but feel guilty." Ezran said to Lycanroc and Bait. "Lycanroc." Lycanroc said, as he and Bait moved to hug Ezran.
That's when Saleer walked into the throne room, and up to Ezran. "King Ezran, forgive me. There may be a way to prevent this bloodshed in our kingdom. You can save these lives." Saleer said to Ezran.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, the Ambler walked across the desert, and on the back of the Ambler, Callum, Zym, Yanma, Gligar, were playing with a few adoraburrs they still had, Kali and Allen where talking about Kali's new Rapidash, with Bouffant and Lurantis sleeping next to them, and Rayla was alone in the back looking at the necklace Ethari gave her. Callum noticed this and walked up to Rayla.
But Callum couldn't say anything, so he just looked at Rayla. "What?" Rayla asked Callum. "Nothing. I was just wondering what you're thinking about." Callum asked Rayla. "I'm fine, Caluum. Like I already told you." Rayla said to Callum. Callum then started to walk away.
That's when the Ambler stumbled, causing Callum to fall to the floor, and causing Kali to crash into Allen. Then the Ambler stopped, the reason being, her foot was stuck in a hole. "Ugh, great. Just great." Nyx said before she and Arithi flew to everyone.
"What happened?" Callum asked Nyx, as he got up. "Her foot's stuck in a hole. The soulfangs burrow under the ground during the day and make all these tunnels, and if too many are in one place, the ground gives way. I just need to go down and get her foot out." Nyx said to everyone.
"Want some help?" Allen asked Nyx. "I can handle it. Besides, it looks like you have your hands full as it is." Nyx said to Allen, as he and Kali noticed they were holding onto each other, they blushed and moved away from each other.
"Anyway. Don't touch my stuff." Nyx said to everyone, before flying down to the Ambler's foot with Arithi. Of course, as Nyx and Arithi worked on getting the Ambler's foot free, and having a hard time doing that. Callum noticed Nyx's staff, and got a closer look at it.
"What is it? Why you staring at that thing?" Rayla asked Callum, as they all noticed him staring at it, and Rayla got closer to Callum. "Something's so strangely familiar…" Callum said to everyone, as he took out one of the staff's blades. "Boomerang?" Callum asked.
That's when the Ambler foot was freed, and it knocked everyone to the floor. "Let's move." Nyx said to everyone, as she and Arithi flew past everyone and back to the head. Callum then quickly and quietly put the blade back. Once Nyx and Arithi got to the saddle, Nyx made the Ambler move again.
Katolis
Meanwhile in Katolis, Barius and Alcremie we're making some jelly tarts. "Um, excuse me?" A voice asked Barius and Alcremie, surprising them, but they noticed it was Ezran's voice. "King Ezran? Is that you?" Barius asked Ezran, looking around.
"We're down here." Ezran said to Barius, making them notice Ezran, Bait, and Lycanroc in the grate. "Oh! Your majesty. I'm so sorry, I had the grate fixed. Uh… Oh, let me just… I'll break it for you. Stand back." Barius said to Ezran, before pulling the grate out of the wall, and sumping back a little.
That's when Ezran, Lycanroc, and Bait exited the grate, with Ezran picking up Bait. Barius was nervous about this and chuckled a little. "Uh… I'll be sure to leave it broken." Barius said to Ezran, putting the grate down. "Would you like a jelly tart?" Barius asked Ezran, bowing to him.
"That's not why I'm here, but, yes, always." Ezran said to Barius. Barius then held the jelly tart tray to them, and Ezran took one, as Bait and Lycanroc ate a couple of them. But Ezran didn't eat his jelly tart, and put it down. "I need to ask you a favor. Something very important. If anything happens… I mean, something might happen. And I need you to take care of Bait and Lycanroc." Ezran said to Barius, holding Bait up to Barius.
"I am honored and… humbled. But wouldn't Drake be better?" Barius asked Ezran. "I don't want Drake to know about this." Ezran said to Barius, before hugging Bait and Lycanroc, and giving Bait to Barius and making Lycanroc move to Barius' side.
"You understand what they needed?" Ezran asked Barius. "And an infinite supply of jelly tarts, and… understanding and love." Barius said to Ezran. "Yes. Mainly the tarts." Ezran said to Barius, petting Bait and Lycanroc. "Thank you." Ezran said to Barius, before walking away. But Ezran stopped by the tray of jelly tarts.
Ezran didn't say anything, but Barius knew what Ezran was thinking, and let Ezran have the tray. Ezran then took the tray, and went into the vent. But before Ezran left, Ezran noticed Bait and Lycanroc having sad looks on their face, and Bait was even glowing blue. This made Ezran sad, but he still left.
"Now, I want you both to know, I've always seen you two as a kindred spirit." Barius said to Bait and Lycanroc, looking at them. "Lycanroc." Lycanroc said, as he moved and layed down in front of the grate, feeling very sad.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, the sun started to set. And they reached a lake, with a few trees, surrounded by five obelisks forming a magic barrier. "There's the oasis. It's not much, but it's a safe haven from soulfangs and the husks." Nyx said to everyone.
"How does it keep them out?" Callum asked Nyx. "It's surrounded by obelisks that create a circle of protection. It's a magical barrier around the oasis. Anyway, here's the Wonderwall." Nyx said to everyone, as they crossed through the barrier. "Is it safe for me and Callum to be here?" Allen asked Nyx. "Yes. At the moment, it's just us." Nyx said to everyone, as the Ambler helped everyone down off her back.
Once on the ground, Callum, Zym, and Yanma ran off and took in the sight of the oasis. At the same time, Rayla was tying her and Callum's mount to a tree. Kali, Allen, Gligar, Lurantis, Rapidash, Bouffalant were setting up a spot to camp for the knight.
"Looks cozy enough." Rayla said to everyone, as she, Callum, Zym, and Yanma, walked up to everyone. But before Allen or Kali say anything, Nyx and Arithi dropped some sleeping bags next to them, surprising them. "It gets really cold here at night, so we'll need these." Nyx said to everyone, patting the sleeping bag she had.
"I wasn't sure if you guys needed two blankets or just one…" Nyx said Rayla and Callum, pointing to them. This made Rayla look away, and Callum exclaimed. "Two. Yeah, two. 'Cause if there was just one, then…" Callum said, but was stopped when Rayla picked up two of the sleeping bags and hit Callum with one. "Two." Rayla said to Nyx. "Two. Two." Callum said to Nyx.
"And you two…" Nyx said to Allen and Kali, Allen interrupted Nyx. "Don't finish that sentence. We'll take two." Allen said to Nyx. "Yeah, there is no love interest between anyone here." Kali said to Nyx.
That's when Bouffalant, Lurantis, Yanma, Gligar looked at each other, and knew that they were some love interest between Callum and Rayla, and Allen and Kali. "Bouffalant/Lurantis/Yanma/Gligar." The four of them said, sounding like "They're in denial". "Rapidash?" Rapidash asked, wondering what the others were talking about.
"Suit yourselves." Nyx said to everyone, as they scattered to find their spot, with Callum nervously chuckling. With the Ambler laying down, everyone got ready to sleep for the night.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle in Katolis, Aaravos' caterpillar was finished crawling over Viren's eye. "It is ready. Open your eye." Aaravos said to Viren. Viren opened his right eye, which was now covered in white goo. After blinking for a bit, Viren could see Aaravos as a light purple spirit outside his cell. "You can hear me." Aaravos said, as Aaravos walked through the cell bards like a ghost. "And now you can see me. And I can better serve you." Aaravos said to Viren, making Viren smile.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, everyone was asleep. But Callum was awoken to the sound of crying. He got up and noticed the cry was coming from Rayla. "Rayla? Did you say something? You okay?" Callum asked Rayla, as he moved to Rayla, and as Rayla got up, with a few tears in her eyes.
Callum noticed this. "Rayla, it's okay." Callum said to Rayla. "Get away from me!" Rayla said to Callum, throwing her pillow at him, and running away. Callum went after her. Doing all of this woke up Allen and Kali. "Should we go after them?" Kali asked Allen. "No. I think this is something Callum must do." Allen said to Kali.
That's when Kali and Allen noticed Allen's bag moving on its own. "Hey may stuff!" Allen said, as he got up and ran after his bag. "Allen, wait!" Kali said, as she went after Allen. With them gone, Nyx and Arithi stopped pretending they were asleep, and got ready to make their move.
The Castle In Katolis
Back at the Castle in Katolis, in the throne room, Ezran was staring at the throne, with Ezran back in his normal clothes, and with Corvus, Opeli, and their Pokemon looking at him. "Ezran you don't need to do this. There must be another way." Corvus said to Ezran. "Don't worry, Corvus, I'll be okay." Ezran said to Corvus.
That's when the door burst open, and Drake and Samurott ran into the throne room. "I just heard. Ezran, why am I the last one to hear of this crazy idea?!" Drake asked Ezran, as he closed the door, and as he and Samurott walked to Ezran.
"I knew you'd try and stop me." Ezran said to Drake. "Of course I would try and stop you. Ezran giving up the throne isn't going to save lives." Drake said to Ezran. "I made it so those who don't want to fight can leave." Ezran said to Drake. "But what about you? You'll be locked up! I can't let you do this!" Drake said to Ezran, grabbing Ezran's shoulders.
"Please Drake, this is something I have to do." Ezran said to Drake. "No you don't. I promised your father I would keep you safe, and I can't keep that promise if you're in a cell." Drake said to Ezran. "I'm sorry Drake, but I have to do this." Ezran said to Drake, moving Drake's hands off his shoulders.
"King Ezran, are you sure? There will be no going back." Opeli asked Ezran. "I know what's right. I know what I have to do." Ezran said to Opeli. "Ezran, this is a bad idea." Drake said to Ezran, before Saleer walked into the room and up to everyone.
"It's agreed. Everything you asked for." Saleer said to Ezran. "The battle?" Ezran asked Saleer. "It's called off. There will be no attack at dawn." Saleer said to Ezran. "And what about the people who no longer wish to fight at all?" Ezran asked Saleer. "They will be allowed to lay down their arms, and return to their families, in peace and safety, as you instead." Saleer said to Ezran.
This made Ezran sighed. Ezran turned to the throne and took off his crown. Ezran then put the crown on the throne. "It's done." Ezran said to everyone. "Take him." Saleer said to the guards, surprising the guards. "Saleer you traitor!" Drake said to Saleer, having his staff generate a large amount of electricity. "Drake, please don't." Ezran said to Drake, as he held out his arms.
The guards hesitantly cuffed Ezran, much to the pain Opeli, Corvus, Drake, and their Pokemon felt. The guards took Ezran away. The guard walked him down to the cell where Viren was in. There the guard freed Viren, and locked up Ezran, which made Viren smile. "I'm sorry it's come to this." Virne said to Ezran. "Not, you're not." Ezran said to Viren. "No… I'm not." Viren said, as he walked free, with the guards, leaving Ezran alone in his cell.
The Midnight Desert
Back in The Midnight Desert, Rayla was sitting on a tree alone by the small lake the oasis had with her hood up. That's when Callum walked up to her. "Please leave me alone. I don't want you to see me like this." Rayla said to Callum, pulling her hood over her head even more than before, and with a sad tune in her voice.
But Callum didn't leave, and took a seat next to Rayla. "I don't care if you're crying. I'm here with you." Callum said to Rayla, putting a hand on her arm. But Rayla shot up and walked forward, making Callum slide a little off the tree. "I'm a mess." Rayla said to Callum, clinging to her hood.
"No, you're not. It's okay." Callum said to Rayla, as he stood up. "I've lost everything. My parents, the people who cared about me, my home. There's nowhere I belong now." Rayla said to Callum, not looking at him and crying. "That's not true, Rayla. You're going through a hard time, that's all." Callum said to Rayla, tired to grabbed Rayla's shoulder.
"That's not all! It's my, and it's all my fault." Rayla said to Callum, forcing him off her, and kicking a rock into the lake. "I failed them. I let them all down. They're right to reject me." Rayla said to Callum, before squatting down to the lake. "I'm not good enough, and I never will be." Rayla said to Callum, as Callum walked up to Rayla, and had enough.
"Shut up." Callum said to Rayla, with a serious tune in his voice, surprising Rayla. "Wait, what?" Rayla asked Callum, turning her head to face him. "Just shut up, you're talking crazy. Just listen to me. You're too good to feel this bad about yourself. I know that, and you should know that." Callum said to Rayla, helping Rayla up.
"You have true courage and a big heart." Callum said to Rayla, making Rayla blush. "I've seen you get knocked down so many times before, and every single time, you get up again. That's real strength. And… and you're ten times funnier than any human I know." Callum said to Rayla, with a smirk on his face, making Rayla laugh and whip her tears away.
"See? See you know you're amazing. You're smart, and fast, and beautiful." Callum said to Rayla, taking off Rayla's hood. Rayla smiled. "Rayla, you're the most amazing person I've ever met. Then Rayla kissed Callum on the lips, much to Callum's surprise.
When Rayla backed away from Callum, she noticed Callum was frozen with a strange look on his face. Callum then unfroze and looked confused. "That's not what I was expecting." Callum said to Rayla. "You were saying all those things, so I thought…" Rayla said to Callum, as things got awkward.
"No, I mean, I wasn't saying those things so you would…" Callum said to Rayla. That's when Rayla realized she missed reading the signals. She gasped, covered her lips, and walked to the lake, her back facing Callum. "We will never speak of this again. Do you understand?" Rayla asked Callum.
"Of course. Of course, yeah. Of course I do." Callum said to Rayla, turning away from her. "No, I mean never. I will bind myself to killing you if you even mention…" Rayla said to Callum, walking to him, grabbing her wrist, but she was interrupted by all the Pokemon roaring. "What was that?" Callum asked. "Something's wrong." Rayla said to Callum, as they ran back to the campsite.
A few minutes ago, with Allen and Kali, they were still chasing the backpack thief. "I got you." Allen said, as he dived bomb his bag. Allen was able to grab his bag, and pulled it up, with him standing on his knees.
That's when he noticed a tan small croc, with black line, a pink belly, four legs with three black claws, and black eyes with a black sunglasses outline. "A Sandile." Allen said, looking at the bag thief. "Sandile?" Kali asked Allen, as Allen pulled out his Pokedex.
Sandile / Desert Croc Pokemon / Dark And Ground Type / It submerges itself in sand and moves as if swimming. This wise behavior keeps its enemies from finding it and maintains its temperature.
"And he's a boy. So why did you take my bag?" Allen asked Sandile, as he took Sandile off his bag, and put him down. That's when they heard Sandile's stomach growl. "Sandile." Sandile said, embarrassed. "I see, you're just hungry." Allen said to Sandile, before pulling out a berry.
Allen held it to Sandile, but Sandile just sniffed it. "Is there something wrong with the berry?" Kali asked Allen. "No." Allen said to Kali, as he pulled out a bottle, and a stick. "Then what is it?" Kali asked Allen, as Allen put the berry in the bottle, and used his stick to smash the berry into juice. "He's a baby." Allen said to Kali, as he finished mixing the barry, and put a pacifier on it.
Allen then held the bottle close to the Sandile. Sandile sniffed the bottle for a few seconds, before he started to suck on it, and finally eating. "But if he's a baby, where's his parents?" Kali asked Allen. "Given where we are, maybe they're gone, or he was born alone." Allen said to Kali, before petting the side of Sandile's head.
"But it's okay, we'll help you." Allen said to Sandlie, petting the side of Sandile's head. "Sandile." Sandile said, liking the pets. This made Kali walk over to Allen with a smile on her face.
"You know at first, I didn't like you that much. But now I know you are an amazing man. One who's saved me a few times. Had my back when things were tough. Pulse a few other small things. And for that you have my thanks." Kali said to Allen, as she kneeled down to him, and went in to kiss Allen on the check. "What was that?" Allen asked Kali, as he turned his head to Kali, turning Kali cheek kiss into a kiss on the lips.
While it shocked them at first, both of them found it warm, and couldn't stop, but they knew they had to, and they split apart. "Why did that feel right?" Allen asked Kali, touching his lips. "Oh… I uh… That was… I didn't…" Kali said to Allen, not knowing what to say.
But before Allen could say anything else, they heard the Pokemon roar. "What the?" Kali asked, looking in the direction of the camp. "Something must have happened, let's go!" Allen said to Kali, as he started to run back to camp, with kali following him. "Sandile." Sandile said, sounding like "I'll go with you" and following them.
That's when Callum, Rayla, Allen, Kali, and Sandile reached the camp at the same time. That's when they noticed all the Pokemon were trapped under rocks. "Oh no!" Rayla said, as they all ran into the camp, and started to free their Pokemon from the rocks. "What did this?" Kali asked everyone.
"Wait? Where's Zym?" Callum asked everyone, as everyone stopped and noticed Zym was gone. That's also when they noticed Nyx, Arithi, and Nyx's Ambler were gone. "Nyx! She stole him! This entire thing was a trick in order for her to get her hands on Zym!" Allen said to everyone.
