Two months have passed since Bruce Wayne / Batman and his Pokemon have made their home in Republic City...and he already has a warrant out for his arrest!
This is because the Dark Knight has become a local celebrity in Republic city of sorts, for vigilante activity! Not only has he stopped numerous muggings, but he is even waged a one-man war against the triple threat triad, to the point that even the criminals of the city's underworld have placed a bounty on his head!
Currently eleven year old Mako and his nine year old brother Bolin, to aspiring members of the triple threat triad had just committed a petty robbery.
"Wahoo... looks like we get to eat this week!"said Mako, counting their luck for managing to gain some coin.
"Did we really need to steal from that lady. We seem so nice."said Bolin, who was hesitant of committing crimes.
"We got no choice. We need to do this. Otherwise we'll end up dead on the streets."said Mako, justifying his and his brother's actions.
"Your right"said Bolin, knowing that they needed to steal to survive.
"Hey, you too!"said a man who will look like he was dressed to impress, as he approached the two boys in a dark alley.
"What do you want, Viper?"inquired Mako, referring to the seconding command of the triple threat triad.
A water bender that goes by the name of Viper!
"Hey, is there any way to speak to your superior?"inquired Viper with sarcasm.
"What do you want with us?"inquired Bolin, wondering what the second in command wanted.
"I'm here to make sure you boys earn your keep."said Viper, before he kicked Mako in the stomach and took the money that he had stolen.
"Hey!"said Bolin, while holding his brother, just as he was getting up from the floor.
"We stole that fair and square."said Mako, knowing that he and his brother needed that money to eat.
"Well now it's mine."said Viper, figuring some extra coin wouldn't hurt his pocket.
"So you're the second in command of the triple threat triad."said an intense voice, from somewhere in the shadows.
"Who's there?!"inquired Mako, as he activated his fire bending abilities.
"You should know who I am. After all, your boss wants me dead."said Batman, who came out of the shadows.
"So you're the vigilante who's been messing with the triads all over the city! Must say, there's a pretty big bounty on your head. And it's going to be mine!"said Viper, before he pulled out some water from a gourd he was holding to use his water bending abilities!
He then launched his water at Batman!
But the Dark Knight didn't even flinch, just as something jumped in front of him and cut the water like it was nothing.
"Huh?"said Viper, wondering what the heck just happened.
That is when he saw Greninja standing in front of Batman.
"So the rumor of you having unique pets is true. I must say, never see anything that ugly before in my life."said Viper, trying to get a rise out of Batman and Greninja, only they didn't take the bait at all.
"You deal with the boys. I'll deal with Viper."said Batman, causing Greninja to nod his head, before he jumped over at Mako and Bolin, and tackle the two boys to the floor!
Viper meanwhile immediately use the opportunity to strike at Batman! But the Dark Knight kept jumping around, avoiding the strikes of water from Viper's water bending abilities! Viper immediately launched a stream of water at Batman, but the cape crusader was a step ahead, it managed to use escape to block the water, before he rushed in and punched Viper in the jaw! The water bender fell back, managing to keep his footing as Batman immediately delivered a reverse straight punch to his stomach, knocking the wind out of Viper!
The criminal immediately tried to use his water bending abilities again, but Batman nearly gripped his hands and squeezed!
"Ow! Ow! Ow!"said Viper, before Batman delivered a nasty head butt.
Viper in that moment immediately lost consciousness, before falling on the floor!
Mako and Bolin meanwhile we're held on the floor by Greninja, who wouldn't let the boys go at all!
"Let us go!"shouted Mako, who immediately tried to use his fire bending abilities.
But before he could use his fire bending, a white furry foot stepped on his hand. That is when the fire bender saw a crimson glare staring at him intensely, revealing itself to be Lycanroc.
"That is one scary animal."said Bolin, just as Batman approached the two boys.
"You two will return that money to that old lady you stole from."said Batman, basically giving the two of them an order.
"You're not the boss of us!"said Mako defiantly.
"Yeah...! Even though you have us completely under your control."said Bolin, who was intimidated by Batman.
"Why would you two join the triple threat triad at such a young age?"inquired Batman, wondering why these two boys chose this life of crime.
"We got no choice! It's either live a criminal life or die on the streets."said Mako, admitting that he didn't like this life, but he and his brother had no choice.
"I see."said Batman, before he reached into his cape and tossed a medium sized bag towards the boys.
"What's this?"inquired Bolin, just as Batman motions for Greninja to let them go.
As soon as he is let go, the young earthbender immediately checks the back to see if it's full of Republic City coins.
"Use that money to live in earnest life for now. You two still have a chance to live for the better, but one day that door will close, and there's no going back from that."said Batman, who knows this from experience.
"You think we'll listen to you just because you gave us a bit of money!"said Mako, as he stood up from the floor.
"No..But this will help you survive for the next couple of weeks if you use it well."said Batman, before he turned around and began leaving with Greninja and Lycanroc following close behind him.
"Who are you?"inquired Bolin, while holding the bag of money Batman just gave them.
"You can call me Batman!"said the Dark Knight, before he released the smoke palette that caused him and his two pokémon to disappear.
"Where did he go?"inquired Mako, wondering where the guy who just gave the money you left too.
"Who cares. Let's just use this money to live earnestly for a while. Maybe he has a point, that it's not too late to live an honest life."said Bolin, not knowing that he and his brother were being watched from Batman from the shadows.
"I don't know. At at least we won't starve. And I won't ever say this to him, but he's the first adult who's ever treated us right in a while."said Mako, well he was looking down at Viper, who was still unconscious.
Mako immediately went over to the second command of the triple threat triad, and picked his pocket for money.
"Let's give that lady back her money. We don't need it anymore anyway."said Mako, causing his brother to not his head before the two of them went back in the direction they came from.
Batman, Greninja, and Lycanroc looked on, wondering what kind of path those two brothers will take from here on out!
Only time will tell!
