Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, like always, but life is complicated sometimes and I need to focus on that. And the last chapter of my Abyss Rider was a massive chapter to work on, so that didn't help either. But we're back. But before we start, let's answer some questions.
First, Kaesiade59, your question about magic will be answered in this chapter.
Second, Wildo9nenyr, to answer your question, yes, they will stay in the story, after their OC part I'll add after the end of season 5, that was the plan.
Third, Gue469X, to answer the why first, that's just how I choose the afterlife to work in my stories(Minues Korra)(Plus it's part of my belief on what happens when we die). Now about Luna Tenebris, if your asking if she'll return, she will not, where ever she was reborn(Because I never thought about what world she would go to), the only part of Luna Terebris left in her is her soul's core trait, leadership, meaning she could born to be another queen, a ceo, or a general, for that's who she is, she's a leader. (Now I'll leave what happened to her after her death to your imagination, just remember one way or another she'll be a leader.)
Lastly, for Catalvirur, I've worked out how they get to Kumandra and back, so sorry no Quasar Diamonds needed (Or on Kumandra).
And, Catalvirur, you ask me if I could dedicate myself towards Dragon Prince and only Dragon Pince like I did at the end of season 3. And I could. But I chose not to, this way I don't burn myself out and lose interest in the story like many other writers do, plus Dragon Prince isn't done yet (in terms of content) like my other stories, so if I rush through it, there's a good chance I mess something up by my changes.
Now, there's two reasons why I dedicated myself to the last half of season 3. One, the only thing I could have added to those chapters was some dialog (Minus the Phantom and Battle chapters), so it didn't take much time to write it (especially with sum days where I could do nothing but write). Second, I finished The Last Black and White Dragons a while before I was done with season 3, and I wanted to share it with you all. So I thought, "You know what, there's not a lot of big things I can change from here on, so I'll just do them all, then post The Last Black and White Dragons". That's all there was to it.
Now that the questions are answered, let's start the chapter. Now Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Fallen Stars And White Sun
The Cave Under The Storm Spire
In the Cave under the Storm Spire, Viren and Claudia were looking at the cocoon, with Terry sitting on the floor, and Grav leaning against the back wall, arms crossed. "So, when might we expect the emergence of our mysterious guide?" Viren asked Claudia.
"The being needs our help to arrive." Claudia said to Viren, before walking to one of the cave walls, opening a way out of the cave with the Sunforge staff in head, twisted by her own style. Viren was surprised by this, and followed Claudia.
Meanwhile Terry started to poke the cocoon. "Leave that alone Terrestrius." Grav said to Terry, pulling on Terry's horn, forcing Terry to follow him, as Grav moved towards the exit.
Once Viren stepped outside, Viren groaned, blinded by the sunlight. When his eyes adjusted to the light, he noticed Claudia turning to him. "To open the chrysalis, we need your staff." Claudia said to Viren.
"And I take it you did not find my staff beside my shattered body?" Viren asked Claudia. "Unfortunately, when you fell, you left the staff up there, at the tip-top of the Storm Spire." Claudia said to Viren, as they looked up at the Storm Spire. "Oh." Viren said, before remembering his last experience. This caused Viren to groan and grab his head.
"So, we have to go back up there." Claudia said to Viren, ignoring Viren's gesture. "Uh-." Viren said to Claudia, but was interrupted by Terry. "Such a lovely day! Who's ready for an exhausting climb?" Terry asked everyone. "Only you Terrestrius." Grav said to Terry.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Callum went to visit Associate Crow Lord to see if his book showed up, with Yanmega following them. When they entered the mail room, they noticed Associate Crow Lord looking at the ceiling. When they closed the door, Associate Crow Lord noticed them.
"Hey, you're that guy waiting for that fancy book. well, it's here." Associate Crow Lord said to Callum, as he picked up a fancy covered book and held it to Callum. "That's great, can I please…" Callum said to Associate Crow Lord, trying to take the book, but was interrupted by Associate Crow Lord talking and holding the book close to his chest.
"So crazy. When it arrived this morning, it blew my mind! Well, m-more than my mind, actually." Associate Crow Lord said to Callum. "Uh, I have a busy day, i-if you wouldn't mind just giving me the-" Callum said to Associate Crow Lord, trying to get the book, only for the Associate Crow Lord to wander around the room, moving the book's positions.
"It wasn't carried by a normal crow, no. It was this, magical Xadian bird!" Associate Crow Lord said to Callum, before looking up, making Callum look up and see a large sparkly white bird.
"I had never seen anything like it. Flew right in surrounded by glowing sparkles and shiny bits. I mean, when it arrived, I literally… Let's just say these aren't the same trousers. I wore to work this morning." Associate Crow Lord said to Callum, whispering that last part.
"Yanmega." Yanmega said, grossed out a little. Callum then held out a hand. "Murkrow." Murkrow said to Associate Crow Lord, as he flew into the air and landed on the book, making Associate Crow Lord remember to hand over the book.
"Here it is!" Associate Crow Lord said to Callum, handing the book to Callum, with Murkrow flying off the book. "This is just what I need!" Callum said to Associate Crow Lord, with an excited tune in his voice. Then Callum rushed out of the room, with Yanmega following Callum.
While running through the castle, he reached the courtyard, where Ezran, Drake, Corvus, and their Pokemon were talking to knights about Zubeia and Zym's visit. But the sight of Callum running got their attention.
Callum then almost ran into a knight, but was saved by Yanmega pulling on the back of his clothes. "Wow, someone's in a good mood!" Ezran said to Callum. "Sorry! Can't stop. Ugh, I love books!" Callum said to everyone, looking at the book and laughing. "Just don't start a fire again." Drake said to Callum. "But he's right. Books are great." Ezran said to everyone.
"King Ezran, I must confess I was impressed with your vision for using the Dragon Queen's visit as a catalyst for growing trust and peace across the continent." Corvus said to Ezran. "Thanks, Corvus!" Ezran said to Corvus.
"But tell the truth. Is it really about changing the world, or is it just an excuse to get Zym to come visit?" Corvus asked Ezran. "And while we're on this topic, this idea of yours wouldn't have been inspired by a certain Black Dragon female?" Drake asked Ezran.
"What no. Why would you think that?" Ezran asked Drake and Corvus. "Ezran I just heard." A female voice said to Ezran, making everyone turn their heads to see a young female Tidebound Elf around Ezran age and height walking up to everyone.
The Tidebound Elf had seafoam green colored skin, fins for ears, gills on her neck yellow eyes, her horns looked like four white auger seashells on the sides of her head in a V shape, she had dark blue long hair that was tired into ponytail with three pieces of seaweed wrapped around her hair keeping it in a cylinder shape with the end looking like it burst open. Her outfit was a dark blue belly shirt with no sleeves, a frilly blue and white skirt that reached her feet, with dark blue skin tight pants under it, light blue dress shoes that were flat and stopped at her ankles, around her waist was a black belt with six Pokeballs and a Tera Orb on it forming a circle in the front of her waist with the Tera Orb in the middle, lastly a ring in her belly button with the Black Dragonflight charm hooked into it, that charm benign a black dragon head with a small horn in front and a long horn in the back with a blue tip.
And following her was Milotic, Corsola, Spheal, Panpour,Dewpider, and Poliwag.
"Zym's coming. I told you that it would work." The female elf said to Ezran, as she reached them. "Talia." Drake said to the elf, getting her attention. "Oh… High Master Drake." Talia said to Drake, with a nervous tune in her voice.
"Should have known you had a hand in this." Drake said to Talia. "I'm just telling Ezran about my ideas. Nothing wrong with that." Talia said to Drake. "Except your ideas are generally about you and Ezran getting into mischief." Drake said to Talia.
"Oh come on, not all my ideas lead to mischief." Talia said to Drake. "Correct. But I'm referring to those ideas that just involve you and Ezran. Or do I need to remind you of the time you sneaked Ezran out of the castle to show him some glowing algae that you can only see at midnight on a new moon." Drake said to Talia.
"I was planning to be back before anyone noticed." Talia said to Drake. "But we did notice and you threw the whole castle in a state of worry." Drake said to Talia. "How many times do I have to say sorry about that?" Talia asked Drake. "Right now, you're at 397, make that 398, out of a 1000. So you got 602 to go." Drake said to Talia.
"Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Now that 600 to go. And I'm sorry that we tricked you two into letting us see Zym." Talia said to Drake. "So this idea is more about seeing Zym then peace." Corvus said to Ezran and Talia. "Can't it be both?" Ezran asked Drake and Corvus. "Yeah, can't we work on peace and see Zym?" Talia asked Drake and Corvus.
"It's been four months since I've seen him. I just miss him so much, I wanna squeeze his zappy little checks!" Ezran said to everyone. "Yeah. Even if it's shocking, it's fun to squeeze those checks." Talia said to everyone.
Ezran then playfully started to poke Talia, making a zap sound, with Talia running away, laughing, and Ezran going after her. This made Corvus and Drake cross their arms, watching them with smiles on their faces. All the while, the Pokemon giggled at them.
The Storm Spire
Meanwhile at the Storm Spire, Viren, Claudia, Terry, and Grav were walking up the spire, with Terry and Claudia humming, Grav walking with an annoyed look on his face, and Viren walking behind everyone, clinging to the wall and panting.
Then Viren looked over the side, and thought he was ten times higher than he was. This made him panic as he placed his back to the wall, not that anyone noticed. A few seconds later Viren started to move.
Meanwhile in the lair of the Dragon Queen, Zym, Ibis, Allen, Kali and their Pokemon were trying to convince Zym to eat the pile of vegetables his mouth left out for him, with Zym, Allen, and Kali having new looks and Pokemon.
With Ibis looking the same, only have a metallic sky staff embedded with a blue sky Primal Stone in the center, which was circled by metal plates resembling the wings of bird, and a single Pokeball and Tera Orb on his right hip
For Zym he had become lankier, with long legs, and bigger wings. He had also grown three bumps on his nose like his parents. Overall, his general appearance remained the same, though he now reaches up to shoulder height of a teenage human. His horns have grown larger, with their tips taking on the darker color of his mother, and on the end of the two horns was the charms Sisu gave him. The spikes on his back have also grown darker in color. No longer a baby, his eyes have also become smaller in comparison to the rest of his head.
And sitting on Zym's head was a Wattrel.
For Allen, his hair was the same, but now he was wearing white scale patterned robes with the arm being red, his shoes were red dress shoes with a sharp metal point around his toes, hanging down from his shoulders to his waist was two red serpent dragons, and in each dragon were five Pokeballs, in the right dragon was 5 of his Pokeball, in the left dragon was 5 wooden Pokeballs, and a white robe wrapped around his waist had his Tera Orb and One of his normal Pokeballs on it. And Allen held his staff on his right shoulder.
And while Escavalier, Bouffalant, Swanna, Reuniclus, and Leavanny where back with Mizo at the Sunfire Camp, he had Sandile who was a Krookodile now, an Eelektross, a Golurk, a Druddigon, and a Scolipede with him.
For Kali, her hair was now tied into two ponytails with white straps in it making it look wavy, she was still wearing her decorated red dress, but no long had her cloak on, instead she had a white tabard on her and a red serpent dragon on the tabard, on both side of her hips was 3 wooden Pokeballs, with her Tera Orb being in the middle of her waist right next Sunforge Dagger.
Behind her was Lurantis and Rapidash, as well as a Scovillain, Tropius, Simisear, and a Cherrim, who was in her Overcast form at the moment.
"This is a matter of utmost urgency! This situation demands action." Ibis said to Zym. Zym then whimpered. "I think that's a no." Kali said to everyone. "This is not a choice, Zym. Your mother insisted that before your journey to Katolis, you must consume the proper vegetables." Ibis said to Zym.
Zym then sniffed the vegetable, gagged, and whined. This made Allen, Kali, and Ibis place a hand on their faces. "They're just vegetables! Fresh and delicious and nutritious." Ibis said to Zym, taking a vegetable from the pile and holding it to Zym.
"Yeah." Allen said to Zym, as he took a vegetable from the pile and took a bite out of it, making it clear he was enjoying it. "See tasty." Allen said to Zym. Zym just groaned and layed down. This made Allen sigh.
"You really are a picky one." Allen said to Zym, before finishing the vegetable. "This is ridiculous. I'm one of the most powerful sky mages in history, a legendary master of the four winds…" Ibis said to everyone, but was interrupted by Kali. "We know Ibis. why are you bringing this up?" Kali said to Ibis.
"Because I'm reduced to this. Convincing a stubborn dragonling, to eat his veggies." Ibis said to Kali, tossing the vegetable to Zym. "Things could be worse, you know. You could be just a wandering mage doing nothing. But you've been given the important task of caring for Zym. So I think that makes up the blow to your status." Allen said to Ibis, with Zym chirping in agreement.
"Well, you're welcome." Ibis said to everyone. "How about we try it this way?" Ibis said, as he caused a wind spell on a vegetable, making it fly. This got Zym's attention. "Oh, look here comes the delicious Zucchini-phoenix, flying into your mouth! Whoo, whoo, whoo!" Ibis said, as he flew the vegetable around.
That's when Zym zapped the vegetable out of the air, surprising everyone. "Oh! You shot it down!" Ibis said to Zym. Zym roared at Ibis. "We should have seen that coming." Kali said to everyone. That's when they heard Zubeia growl, and everyone could hear her footsteps getting closer, making the place rumble. "We should also see our death by an angry mother coming." Kali said to everyone, making Ibis gulp.
"Listen to me, young Azymondias, the Dragon Queen will be mad at you, and she'll be furious with us if you don't-." Ibis said to Zym, but stopped talking when they saw one of Zubeia's feet.
Panicking, Ibis casted a wind spell, and blew food out of the room, and all the way outside, making the vegetables fall down the Storm Spire.
That's when Zubeia walked into the room, with a large flock of Kilowattrel and Watterl's flying around her with a Shiny Kilowattrel leading the flock. And next to her was Pyrrah, who had a Talonflame with her.
"Zym. Did you finish your dinner?" Zubeia asked Zym. "Every last morsel! Such a good boy." Ibis said to Zubeia, looking at Zym. "Is he telling the truth Allen?" Zubeia asked Allen. "I can say with honesty that the vegetables are no longer here." Allen said to Zubeia.
"Wonderful. Thank you all." Zubeia said to everyone. "I'm sure King Ezran and your imaginary sister Sisu eats all of his vegetables, too." Zubeia said to Zym, with Pyrrah walking around everyone. Zym then whimpered asking Zubeia when they could leave. "Almost time for our big journey." Zubeia said to Zym, as everyone got excited for the trip.
Meanwhile down below with Viren, Claudia, Terry, and Grav, Viren's panting and coughing made everyone stop and turn to him. "Could you please be quiet, this is a long walk already. without you making it longer with your panting." Grav said to Viren. "Grav be nice." Claudia said to Grave.
"Hey, Dad, I know what'll take your mind off the climb! Terry will tell you about some of his wondrous Earthblood elf powers." Claudia said to Viren. "Really, that won't be necessary." Viren said to Claudia, stammering.
"Ah, it'll be my pleasure! See that plant right there?" Terry said to Viren, before pointing to a flower growing nearby. Terry then cracked his fingers, before his skin became gray and light green lines formed around him like he was cracking. Terry then waved his hands around and formed a green energy ball. Terry then made the ball burst at the flower.
Then Terry stopped glowing and gestured a hand to the floor. "Uh-huh?" Viren asked Terry, not impressed or understanding what Terry did. "It's a Xadiazalea. I just gave it a bit of extra grow-magic." Terry said to Viren, laughing a little. Viren then cleared his throat.
"Nothing happened." Viren said to Terry. "Yet! Should bloom a week or two early. On average, give or take." Terry said to Viren, making Viren groan. "Like I keep telling you, Terrestrius. Your magic is pathetic. If you had any actual magical talent, or put even some effort into it, you could've, not just make it bloom now, but make the whole become covered in flowers. But instead you have one flower that might not bloom until a week before it's supposed to bloom. Truly pathetic." Grav said to Terry, making Terry feel sad.
"Don't listen to him. It's amazing, baby!" Claudia said to Terry, before laughing a little, and they high five. "Dad, we call it a high four and a half, Because I bring five and he brings four. Isn't that hilarious?" Claudia asked Viren. Viren said nothing and gave them a flat look.
"Ooh, ooh, I know. Tell my dad what it smells like when you pass gas." Claudia said to Terry. "I do not need to know this." Viren said to Claudia. "No one needs to know that." Grav said to everyone.
But Terry ignored them and answered. "Petrichor." Terry said to everyone. "Uh?" Viren asked everyone. "Petrichor, Dad. it's the smell of fresh rain hitting dry stones! It smells so good when he farts!" Claudia said to everyone. "That sentence is so wrong." Grav said to everyone, before they started to walk.
The Sunfire Camp
Meanwhile at the Sunfire Camp, which was a camp set up in a ruined city, with a few buildings with the White Dragonflight's banner on it.
And in a large derivative tent, was Janai and Amaya standing together with their Pokemon standing behind them, with elves and humans congratulating them. That's when Gren, Mizo, Thalia, Elwin, and all their Pokemon walked into the tent, with baby Sisu on Thalia's back.
"I am so happy for you both. You'll be the world's most formidable couple!" Gren said to everyone, as he signed language to both of them, before hugging them. "Yes, the world better watch out for the two of you." Mizo said to everyone, sign language, as Gren let go of them. Their comments made Janai and Amaya laughed
That's when a lanky Sunfire Elf with dark skin and dark brown eyes. His short, maroon hair is pulled back behind a golden diadem-like headpiece, and both sides of it have been shaved. His beard, which is darker in color, flows into said shaved parts of his hair. As part of tradition in the culture of Sunfire Elves, his brown, backward-bending horns are adorned with golden rings. From his long ears hangs a pair of golden earrings, consistent with the golden accessories found around his collar, on his shoulders, his belt plate, and on the trim of his shoes. His clothing of choice consists of a dark-mustard colored tunic that resembles a piece of armor, with a black chest area and a red streak stitched into its backside. Over this tunic he wears a black belt with a golden buckle. Additionally, his arms are partially protected by black leather pieces, as well as a red glove over his right hand that is protected by a sharp piece of gold. Unlike the rest of his armor, his pants come in a simple dark gray, while his high boots are black. He also wears a tin ring on his left hand that he inherited from his mother, which sports a symbol of Xadia. And he was wearing an elegant shoulder cape colored in a combination of black and red which is adorned with additional gold plating resting on his shoulders. The cape sports a golden crest with a red center piece on its backside. And he had a gold staff in his right hand. He also had no Pokemon with him.
"Well, sister, it can finally be said. You have met your match! What a beautiful couple." The elf said to Janai. Amaya then signs language to the elf. "Thank you, Prince Karim. Now that you'll officially be my little brother, I'll try not to beat you up too much." Amaya said to the elf, with Gren translating.
This made Karim worry a little, as everyone else giggled a little. Then Karim joined the laugh. "Gaenor, you have to stay outside." A female voice said, getting everyone's attention. Then they heard a dragon roar. "We'll make sure to tell them you're happy for them Gaenor, don't worry." A male voice said. That's when an elf, a human, and two Pokemon walked into the tent.
The elf was a male moonshadow elf with pale skin and a average build, light blue eyes, white hair that was neatly combed down, the horns on his head curved to the side his head like they were crescent moons with the left side of his head being a waning crescent moon and the right side of his head benign a waxing crescent moon, the mark on his forehead was a light blue circle representing a new moon. He was wearing a dark green leather vest that had a leaf pattern with light blue line, black pants and boots, a white trench coat with no sleeves, a light blue scarf with the images of the phases of the moon on it, handing form his horns was the two of the White Dragonflight's charms, a white dragon head with two wavy horns on its head, and on his waist was a wooden Pokeball and Tera Ord. And following him was a Lunatone.
The human was a female, with white skin and an average build, spiky blond hair, red eyes, a yellow tattoo of an eye around her right eye. She was wearing white robes, with the end of the sleeve and robes having a red, orange, yellow flame pattern, red ruins sew into it the robes, red leather shoes, a earring on her right ear of the White Dragonflight's charms, a white dragon head with two wavy horns on its head, in her right hand was a golden staff with a gold circle on the end of it with a white flame in the circle, and on her waist in a sun shape belt buckle was a wooden Pokeball and Tera Ord. And following her was a Solrock.
"I see we have Allen's three Dragon Heads coming to visit us, Lady Hadia, the White's Dragon's Human Head. Sir Dumngual, the White's Dragon's Elf Head. And outside must be Gaenor, the White's Dragon's Dragon Head." Amaya said to everyone, in sign language with Gren translating.
"Come on Amaya, no need for the formalities, we're all friends here." Hadia said to Amaya, as she sign language to Amaya. "And we have a letter from Allen." Dumngual said to Amaya, as he sign language to Amaya before pulling out a letter. Dumngual then opened the letter and cleared his throat.
"Dear Janai, I'm sorry to hear that she rejected the proposal… Oh wait. This is the wrong letter." Dumnagual said, before realizing he was reading the wrong letter, crumpled it, and stuffed it back in a picket. All the while, Hadia was translating for Amaya, and everyone gave Dumnagual a flat look.
Dumnagual pulled out another letter and read it before reading it to everyone else. "Okay, this is the right letter." Dumngual said to everyone, before clearing his throat.
"Dear Janai and Amaya, I'm happy for both. I remember Janai asking for my advice on how to ask Amaya out for the first time. And now your two are celebrating your engagement. I wish I was there to celebrate with you all, but I had to meet with Zubeia." Dumngual said to everyone before stopping reading.
"This next part is for me. It's not important." Dumngual said to everyone, as Hadia, to move in closer and read the letter. "And if Dumngual or Hadia read my other letter first, now I made that because I expected when Amaya battled the dancers, Amaya would say no out of embarrassment, or surprise, and was ready to talk about how to change that. But if you're hearing this part then Dumngual or Hadia will be getting a lecture upon my return." Hadia said to everyone, reading the letter, and translating for Amaya.
Dumngual then cleared his throat. "As an early wedding gift, I had Dumngual and Hadia go around and ask your people what they would like in a city and used Dumngual's moon magic to help plan it. And the final variation is this." Dumngual said to everyone with Hadia translating for Amaya, before pulling out another piece of paper.
Hadia opened it, showing the blueprints of the ruined city they were in as a massive city. And while everyone was impressed by the blueprints, Karim looked at it in worry.
"We can talk more about it and make plans on what gets built first when I get back. But for now I wish you all the best of luck, and try not to think so hard on the wedding plans, just do whatever makes you feel happy. It's your special day. P.S. Elwin, you owe me 5 gold coins if Amaya attacked the dancers." Dumngual said to everyone, finishing Allen's letter. "I was kinda hoping he would forget that." Elwin said to everyone, as they all moved closer to Hadia.
Then as everyone took a closer look at the blueprints for the new city, Janai noticed a worried look on Karim's face. "Hey, what? Something's on your mind." Janai asked Karim. "No. I'm good." Karim said to Janai, turning away from Janai. "Tell me. I'm not above tickling the truth out of you if I have to!" Janai said to Karim, making Karim turn to her, and wiggling her fingers.
Karim looked at everyone else having a good time. "I have concerns." Karim whispered to Janai, surprising Janai. "Not here, and leave your Pokemon." Karim whispered to Janai. Janai waved her hand at her Pokemon, making them stay here, as she followed Karim. Everyone noticed this, and found it to be a little odd.
The Storm Spire
Meanwhile at the Storm Spire, Viren, Claudia, Terry, and Grav made it to the gate letting people know that it was time to cast the breathing spell, with Viren completely exhausted.
"Did they move this gateway higher? It seems like it's higher than it was before. This… This is absolutely exhausting." Viren said to everyone, leaning agent on the wall. "Or you're just out of shape from being dead for 2 years." Grav said to Viren.
"Maybe now's a good time for a breaking spell huh?" Claudia asked everyone. "Who likes breathing? This elf!" Terry said to everyone, pointing to himself with his thumbs, while cracking a big smile. "You're such an idiot." Grave said to Terry
"Four poofed-up puffer-bats, coming right up!" Claudia said to everyone, pulling out a cotton ball with bat ears and wings, and X eyes, meaning it was dead. "This is disgusting." Grav said, as everyone took a puffer bat.
Claudia chanted a dark spell, making the puffer bat deflate, and dark energy entered everyone's mouth. And while Claudia and Terry were fine after the spell, Grav was spitting out just air, trying to get the taste out of his mouth, and Viren was still having a hard time breathing.
"Ah. Dark magic's got a bit of a tingly aftertaste. Nobody ever tells you that!" Terry said to everyone, before she and Terry started to move. "Because it's buried under its disgusting taste." Grav said to Terry, before he and Viren started to walk.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Callum was flipping through his new book, with Bait and all of his Pokemon watching him with a bored look on their faces. "I don't get it. This tome seems like it has just about every rune and symbol in history. But nothing matches the writing on the mirror." Callum said to everyone, as he touched the rune on the mirror.
Then Callum flipped the page and found some blank pages. "Wait, what is this?" Callum asked, before flipping through more pages, finding out the rest was blank, and yelled, getting everyone's attention.
"The whole last half of the book is empty! Blank, blank, blank, blank, blank, blank. Blankity, blankity, blank!" Callum said to everyone, getting frustrated. "This is- This is not a Tome of Translation. It's barely a Pamphlet of Pathetic! Ugh!" Callum said, before slamming the book shut.
Callum then sighed and put the book down before sitting in a chair. "Now what? Callum asked everyone, with everyone giving Callum a confused look.
The Storm Spire
Meanwhile at the Storm Spire, Viren, Claudia, Terry, and Grav were still climbing up the Storm Spire, with Viren having a hard time breathing and feeling dizzy. "Something's not right. Claudia, are you sure you did the breathing spell correctly?" Viren asked Claudia, before panting heavily, making everyone stop and turn to him.
"Yeah, of course." Claudia said to Viren. "Uh, the puffer-bats, d-did you capture each of them at peak-of-puff? Because it's tricky, and if you're even a moment off-" Viren said to Claudia, but was interrupted by Claudia.
"Dad, I did it right! You know I'm perfectionish." Claudia said to Viren. "You mean a perfectionist?" Terry asked Claudia. "No, "ish"." Claudia said to Terry. "Perfectionish, isn't a real word." Grav said to Claudia. "But Dad, the spell is working. You're fine." Claudia said to Viren.
"No. No, I'm not fine. I'm freezing and can't breathe." Viren said to Claudia, weezing a lot, and shivering, before passing out, shattering once he hit the ground, giving Claudia a nasty surprise.
Some time later, after putting Viren back together. Viren started to wake up. "Lord Viren?" Terry asked Viren, as Viren opened his eyes. "There, there, you're okay now." Terry said to Viren, before Viren shot up and breathed heavily.
"Just a little panic attack. There's no shame in that." Terry said to Viren. "Uh, I… I blacked out?" Viren asked everyone. "And fell apart as well." Grav said to Viren. "Sometimes, all the little bit of stress and anxieties come together and add up, turn into kind of a big thing, and, psh, down you go into pieces. Used to happen to me all the time when I was a sapling." Terry said to Viren, as Viren looked over the edge.
Then as Viren looked over the edge, he saw they were still really high up, but also imagined ice climbing up the wall towards him. Making him scream and move as far from the edge as he could.
"No. we're too high, and it's starting to freeze." Viren said to everyone, making Grav look over the edge. "There's no ice, and it's too warm for any ice to form." Grav said to Viren. "I can't do this." Viren said to everyone, panting.
This made Claudia and Terry look at each other in worry, while Grav had a look that said, "couldn't care less". "Dad, I believe in you. And we'll be right here, by your side. But we have to keep moving, okay?" Claudia said to Viren, before she got back to walking, with Grav right behind her.
Terry offered Viren a hand, but Viren got up on his own. "You're the legendary Lord Viren. You shouldn't have a fear of heights or the cold! Heights and the cold should fear you." Terry said to Viren, gesturing his right hand to the clouds below them.
"Terry, I died by being frozen solid while falling off this mountain." Viren said to Terry. "But only the one time!" Terry said to Viren. This made Viren roll his eyes and sigh.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Callum was staring at the blank pages of the book in frustration, with Bait and the Pokemon around him. "I was so excited about this book, everyone, this incredibly rare tome from Xadia. I was sure it would translate the symbols on the mirror, but no luck. And half the book is blank!" Callum said to everyone, before bagging a fists onto the table, making his inkwell spit ink out and onto the book.
Then Callum closed his eyes, as Bait and the Pokemon noticed the exact same stain appeared on the other side of the book, surprising Bait and the Pokemon. Bait then moved the ink well to Callum.
"Wait. Why are you trying to give me ink?" Callum asked Bait. "Yanmage." Yanmage said, as he dipped a leg into ink well, and then drew a smile on the page, making a smile appear on the other page, getting Callum's attention.
"Maybe the blank pages are to write on, and-and-and it magically translates it on the other side! Is that what you're all saying?" Callum asked everyone. Everyone let out a cry of agreement to Callum.
Callum then grabbed his feather and got ready to write the runes on the mirror on a blank in the book. "Am I about to vandalize an ancient book?" Callum asked everyone. Everyone let out a cry of agreement to Callum.
"I guess it wouldn't be the first time I accidentally on purpose ruined a super rare magical artifact." Callum said to everyone, earning a flat look from Yanmega and Gliscor. "Okay, here goes." Callum said as he started to write.
After a couple ruins, they appeared on the other side, making Callum gasp. "It's working!" Callum said to everyone, before getting back to writing.
The Sunfire Camp
Meanwhile at the Sunfire Camp, Janai and Karim were walking through the camp with a couple guards following them, seeing the liveliness of the camp, and the smiles coming from Humans, Elves, Dragons, and Pokemon. They even saw young Humans, Elves, Dragons, and Pokemon playing together, making Janai smile. And while walking around, everyone saluted Janai as the queen she is.
"Karim, you are my kid brother. I'm supposed to criticize your love life, not the other way around." Janai said to Karim. "Janai, I have nothing to criticize about Amaya. I love Amaya! She is strong and funny and she makes you happy." Karim said to Janai.
"Yes, so why are you being strange and dour about my decision to marry her?" Janai asked Karim, as Karim stopped. "It's the symbolism, sister!" Karim said to Janai, making Janai stop and turn to Karim.
"You are Queen now." Karim said to Janai. "I never wanted to be Queen." Janai said to Karim. "But you are!" Karim said to Janai, loud enough to get everyone's attention. Janai then led Karim to a quiet corner of the camp to talk.
"What message do you think it gives the people if you choose to marry a human?" Karim asked Janai. "There's no message. The only message is that I've chosen this amazing woman as my wife." Janai said to Karim. "No, it confirms their fears, that this Empire is ending, that the rising Sun is now a falling star, to be consumed by the White Sun!" Karim said to Janai. "What is this White Sun nonsense?" Janai asked Karim.
"Look around you. We lost Lux Aurea, our great capital, and we were not able to reclaim it. Then the White Fool used his powers not for the good of Lux Aurea, but to trap it in ice, so that no one can reclaim it. And now, our people live in this… this camp! In makeshift tents! And any building here is under the White Fool's banner and is his building! Then he uses his staff and stone to give people primal powers mocking our heritage. Let's not also forget that he has our children learn alongside the young Human, Dragons, Pokemon, and other Elves of his flight." Karim said to Janai
"It's temporary, Karim. You know that. And you please not call Allen, White Fool. You know he froze Lux Aurea to save our lives. He asked to make those buildings for when storms happen and to have our people having something more to do then hang out in a tent. As for the magic, they twins use their Tera Orbs and their staffs to help unlock a non dark magic way to unlock primal magic, to help humans understand our magic and to make sure dark magic is gone for good. If you talked to Hadia about it, she would tell you it's an extremely painful process to unlock magic, but she was glad she went through the trials to learn our magic and understand us Sunfire Elves more. And is it so wrong that our children and the children of the White Dragonflight learn together. And what does my marriage have to do with any of this?" Janai asked Karim.
"The marriage will tell the people that you're bowing to the White Fool's ideas. After all it was White Fool who helped you ask out Amaya. If you marry Amaya, it will confirm their fears, that the White Dragonflight are our master." Karim said to Janai.
"Karim, Allen told me that all I have to do is ask, and he'll lead the White Dragonflight away, leaving us with what support they gave us." Janai said to Karim. "And you believe him?" Karim asked Janai. "Yes, I do. What are you afraid of?" Janai asked Karim.
"The White Dragonflight cannot stay any longer, you must tell the White Fool that we don't need him, and to lead his White Dragonflight and the humans away." Karim said to Janai.
"We are done with this conversation. While Amaya's forces have helped protect us, the White Dragonflight has been gathering resources for us, to bring smiles to our people. And I won't have you disrespect them." Janai said to Karim, before taking a few steps away from Karim.
"You can have what you want, you know. Without the symbolism." Karim said to Janai, making Janai stop. "You can live with Amaya as if you are married. You can enjoy every day of your lives together, just as you would. But do not make it official. Do not involve The White Dragonflight. And do not make it a symbol." Karim said to Janai.
Janai did not say anything or looked at Karim, instead she just walked away in frustration with her brother. And once Janai was gone, Karim turned to the direction Lux Aurea was in.
The Storm Spire
Meanwhile at the Storm Spire, Viren, Claudia, Terry, and Grav were walking on steps that were about 6 inches wide, and being so short wasn't helping Viren form having another panic attack.
"You can do this, Dad! You just have to lean back and don't look down." Claudia said to Viren. "You know, talking about it isn't going to help?" Grav asked Claudia. "I'm not looking down! Aah!" Viren said to Claudia, before looking down, and screaming a little. "Then why did you scream?" Grav asked Viren.
"Ugh, are you sure we're making progress, a-and this "shortcut" will get us somewhere?" Viren asked everyone. "Fairly sure." Terry said to Viren, earning a look from Claudia, that means don't be honest.
"I mean, totally sure. Uh, rock solid for certain." Terry said to Viren, before farting a little. "Whoops! Ignore that." Terry said to everyone, as Claudia sniffed the air. "Hey! Do I smell petrichor?" Claudia asked Terry. "Guilty as charged!" Terry said to Claudia, before he and Claudia started to laugh. "You're both idiots." Grav said to Claudia and Terry.
"Whoops, couple more little chuckle-puffs there." Terry said to everyone, as Claudia laughed a little. "Chuckle-puffs is what Terry calls laughing farts." Claudia said to Viren. "And you just proved my point." Grav said to everyone.
"For the sake of…" Viren said, as he took a step, but stopped when he made the rock under his foot crumble a little. This caused Viren to panic. "Oh, no. No, no, no. I-It's cracking and collapsing beneath us! And we're going to fall onto ice spikes." Viren said to everyone, imagining the ice spikes.
"Dad, calm down, it's not crumbling and there's no ice spikes." Claudia said to Viren. "I'm going to fall!" Viren said to Claudia, as he started to panic. "Dad, you just need to calm down!" Claudia said to Viren, holding out a hand.
But Viren started to panic and couldn't move. Terry tried to get closer to Viren to help him. But by the time he reached Viren. Viren passed out again and started to fall off the Storm Spire. "No!" Terry called out.
Not wanting to lose him again, Claudia quickly cast a dark spell around her, making a giant purple hand grab Viren before he fell down too far. After pulling Viren back up, they moved down a bit to a large open area.
Then as the sun started to set, Viren woke up and watched it, sitting on the edge. Viren then exhaled realizing what just happened. "I almost died." Viren said to everyone, as Claudia put her staff against the wall, and moved to Viren. "Again." Claudia said to Viren, as she took a knee next to him, as Viren laughed a little. "Again." Viren said, before sighing.
"My whole life, I've been chasing after things I didn't have. Influence. Status. Power." Viren said to Claudia, before he stood up. "Now that I'm here, and I may have only 30 days left, do I really want to spend all those days chasing?" Viren asked Claudia, as Claudia stood up.
"Maybe I should stop. And appreciate what I do have, a-a month of life. Living each day to the fullest, watching beautiful sunsets together. Laughing, and enjoying every moment with my daughter, who is the most special person I have ever known." Viren said to Claudia, touching Claudia's cheeks, making Claudia cry a little.
"Uh, we could travel the countryside and try the seven cakes of Xadia!" Viren said to Claudia, before moving to the wall next to the stairs that lead down the Storm Spire. "I-I-I've spent my whole life striving to become someone different. I was once offered the chance to turn my back on what I wanted and live my life, and I chose to do what I wanted to do." Viren said to Claudia, as Claudia whipped the tears from her eyes.
"Maybe it's time to accept that I am who I am for the days I have remaining." Viren said to Claudia, as he took a step down the Storm Spire. "And when I reach the end, I will be at peace. And it… it will just be my time. To let go." Viren said to Claudia, turning to Claudia.
Caudia covered her mouth, before slapping Viren in the face. "Wha-?" Viren asked Claudia, but was interrupted by Claudia. "You are not letting go, Dad! Not as long as you've got me by your side. I brought you back from the dead, and I'm not about to let you go!" Claudia said to Viren.
That's when they heard Zubeia roar. And looked over head, to see Zubeia, Zym, Pyrrah, Allen, and Kali fly off into the sky, with Allen on Golurk's back, Kali on Tropius' back, the flock of Kilowattrel and Wattrels following Zubeia and Zym, and Talonflame following Pyrrah.
"You see? That's a sign! The dragons are leaving! We don't even have to sneak in now." Claudia said to Viren. "Yes we will. There's always someone keeping an on the place, making sure people like us don't loot the place while they're all gone." Grav said to everyone.
"The point is, Dad. Is that we'll be able to get your staff back without any trouble." Claudia said to Viren. Viren then looked ahead, and had a sad look on his face. Claudia noticed this. "You don't have to keep climbing, Dad. you can head back down the Spire with Grav. Terry and I will retrieve the staff." Claudia said to Viren, before hugging Viren.
"I'm going to take care of you, is going to be okay." Claudia said to Viren. Viren then hugged Claudia back.
The Sunfire Camp
Back at the Sunfire Camp, Janai was sitting on a couch in her tent, watching all of her and Amaya's Pokemon sleeping peacefully together, that's when Amaya walked up to Janai, touching Janai's head to face her, and kissed Janai's forehead.
Amaya sat down next to Janai, and asked if they were moving too fast. "Of course we're not moving too fast. I love you, and I'm ready to marry you." Janai said to Amaya, putting a hand on Amaya's right cheek. Amaya grabbed Janai's arm and moved Janai's hand down and kissed it.
Then Amaya told Janai that she wasn't talking about them, making Janai sigh. "You don't mean us. You mean humans and elves." Janai said to Amaya. Amaya nodded yes. "I don't know. I just don't know. I know it works with the Dragonflights, but can it work without them?" Janai asked Amaya. Amaya then pulled Janai close and they leaned on each other.
The Castle In Katolis
Back in the Castle, Callum was almost done writing the runes on the book. "Almost done, everyone. Just one last rune symbol." Callum said to everyone, before drawing the last rune.
This finished the runes on the other side, and it translated into human words, surprising everyone. "It worked." Callum said to everyone. "The tome is giving me a translation." Callum said, as he picked up the book and walked to the mirror.
That's when a strange lemur ran past everyone, the lemur had dark gray fur covering her body and a white face, as well as a black and white striped tail growing on its lower back. It had six paws come with white palms and black fingers. It has a prominent round snout, big eyes, and small nostrils. Its ears are short and are stuffed with fluffy white fur. It is around the same size as Bait.
Bait and the Pokemon noticed the lemur, but didn't see where it went. But Callum didn't notice the lemur, and walked to the mirror, reading the translation. "In Darkness, Gaze Upon a Fallen Star." Callum said, before looking at the mirror. "In darkness, gaze upon a Fallen Star…" Callum said, before touching the mirror.
That's when Bait crock, and Callum closed the book and turned to Bait. "What is it, Bait?" Callum asked Bait. That's when Bait growled at the Cube. "Why are you looking at the Cube?" Callum asked Bait, as he got a closer look, and noticed the star symbol glowing a bright violet color. "Wow." Callum said, looking at the Cube.
"I wonder what-." Callum asked, before gasping. The reason for the gasp was the Lemur hopping right behind the Cube, and taking it. "Yanmega/Gliscor." Yanmega and Gliscor said, before they tried to grab the Lemur.
But then an Umbreon appeared out of nowhere and let out a flash of yellow light, stunning Yanmega and Gliscor. Then the Umbreon and Lemur ran in different directions.
"Corviknight." Corviknight said, as he tried to grab the lemur with a talon. But Corviknight's talon was stopped by a Dragapult coming out of thin air with a saddle on, and wrapping his tail around the talon.
"Drifloon?" Drifloon asked, looking at the Dragapult, before the Lemur got away, and the Dragapult disappeared. "Mimikyu." a Mimikitu said, as it fell from the ceiling onto Drifloon's head. Then the Mimikyu bounced off Drifloon's head, and started to run around the room with the lemur.
"Unfezant?" Unfezant asked, winding what's going on. "Weavile." A Weavile said, appearing next to Unfezant, asking the same thing, and surprising Unfenzant. "Sigilyph." Sigilyph said, as he chest the lemur, only for a Brambleghast to come blowing out of nowhere and into him, making him stop.
A second later, the lemur, Dragapult, Weavile, Umbreon, Mimikyu, and Brambleghast all just disappeared. "Uh, what was all that? Where did they all go?" Callum asked, as he picked up a candle and started to look around for them.
"Yanmega." Yanmega said, pointing to behind Callum. Callum then turned around to see Dragapult, Weavile, Umbreon, Mimikyu, and Brambleghast standing around a transparent figure, with the lemur on its shoulder.
Then the figure started to become visible, and Callum and Gliscor gasped, realizing it was Rayla, who had a new look.
Rayla's hair has been tied back into a bun at the back of her head, while a braid is wrapped around her scalp. Two large strands of hair frame her face and are parted at the center of her forehead. She is dressed in a short-sleeved, purple shirt with a turtleneck that tops a dark purple centerpiece decorated with white lines. A dark, hooded coat hangs from her shoulders occasionally and is held together by a Moon pin. Her lower arms are covered with tight, blue bracers, while her feet are protected by brown boots and white bandages. Her leggings are colored in a light blue. Additionally, brown belts wrap around her waist, chest, and right leg, with her Tera Orb secured on the belt around her waist, 5 wooden Pokeballs secured on the belt around her chest with room for one more, and the latter securing a leather pouch in place.
Callum and Gliscor looked at Rayla, with a look that looked like they were about to break down in tears. "Hey." Rayla said to Callum, with a "I missed you" look on her face.
