In present day London, in Arisu's cell room she awakened. Arisu awakened and sat up believing she heard something. Silence. She lay back down. Suddenly, the door lock rattled.
"Would you at least give me time to get dressed?" Arisu stopped, surprised to see who it was. It was the Knave of Hearts, Hide. "You!"
"You?!" Hide chuckled derisively. "That's what I get. "You?" Well, nice to see you too, Arisu."
"What are you doing here?" Arisu shot back.
"Right, come now." Hide said. "We have to go."
"Go?" Arisu looked around. "No, you're not real."
"Oh, I'm very real." Hide assured. "And we must leave now. I've cleared some of the guards so we should be able to get out."
"No, I can't." Arisu said crazily. "I can't."
"Arisu," Hide leaned in. "you need to listen to me."
"No, no no…" Arisu batted him away insanely. "I'm not going anywhere."
"Why must you always be so damn stubborn?" Hide growled.
"There he is." Guards grabbed the Knave. One went for Arisu.
"Hey!" Arisu struggled. "I didn't do anything!"
"It's true," Hide said irritably. "I mean if she'd be a least bit helpful, we'd be gone by now. Ow!" The guards restrained him.
"Get him out of here." Arisu betrayed.
"Arisu, no!" Hide atttepted. "You know me! Remember!"
"I don't want to remember." Arisu said dismissively. "I want to forget."
"Arisu, listen to me!"
"No!"
"He's alive!" Hide cried. "The Rabbit saw him. Kaneki! He's alive."
Arisu paused, eyes wide. "That's…impossible."
Hide leveled his gaze at hers. "You know as well as I do, Arisu. Nothing is impossible in Wonderland." One of the guards punched the Knave in the stomach. The other helped out but Arisu attacked him and fended off all the guards, while Knave watched.
"Was that you're idea of a rescue?" Arisu said sarcastically.
Hide shrugged. "It was supposed to be more of a message-delivery type situation. I wasn't planning to-" Arisu ran ahead. "Right, let's go then."
"You're late." The Rabbit said irritatably. "What a surprise."
Arisu rolled her eyes ."To you, everybody's late."
"True." The Rabbit sighed. "I do have high standards. Nice world you got here. What the hell is this stuff? It's pretty hard on my kagune."
Some guards run passed a hallway followed by Dr. Kano who spotted Arisu.
"Arisu!" Kano cried. "Stop. Don't do this. I can help you to get better."
The Rabbit walked out from behind the wall.
"Are we really going to stand here and listen to this guy?"
The doctor just stood in shock at the sight of her kagune.
"Seeing things, doctor?" Arisu smirked. "I hear there's a procedure for that." The trio ran out of the asylum into the city.
"What do we do now?" Arisu asked.
Hide grinned. "We run." They ran through the city pushing people and things out of the way as police officers chased them down.
"Look out." The Rabbit Cried. "Out of the way!"
"Out of my way." A cop said.
They ran into an alleyway, but it was a dead end.
"Oh, no." Rabbit said.
"We'll be finished, for sure." Hide said.
"No, we won't." Arisu said firmly.
"They're coming." Hide pointed.
"Rabbit?!" Arisu ordered.
"Here?" Rabbit groused. "Couldn't we find somewhere with softer ground, like a field?"
"Dig!" Arisu and Hide ordered.
"Alright." Rabbit groaned. The Rabbit drew a rabbit hole on the wall and opened a portal to Wonderland. "Here goes." She jumped in.
"What are you waiting for?" Arisu said to Hide.
"Arisu, I didn't exactly leave that place on good terms." Hide said uncertainly.
"Neither did I but if Kaneki is-"
"Then you have to go, not me!" Hide said nervously. Arisu marches up to the Knave.
"Listen, Knave." Arisu glared at him. "Once, long ago, I got you back your heart.t Now, you need to help me get back mine." The police officers drew closer. "Or you could take your chances with them."
"Dammit. Alright, then. Next stop, Wonderland!"
Holding hands, Arisu and Hide jumped into the portal.
