Whatever It Takes
Chapter Sixty
"Are we almost there?"
"Yeah, are we almost there!"
Then in unison, "Dad! Are we almost there?!"
Kisame's eye twitched in annoyance. He looked away from his flimsy piece of paper map to his two whining sons and gave them a withering look.
Both boys looked tired and irritated beyond belief as they looked up at their father, lips jutted, and eyes narrowed.
Kisame felt guilt twinge in his chest at the sight.
It was, after all, his fault that they had lost their home and on top of that, their parents had divorced. In not the friendliest of ways.
Kisame knew he had made a lot of mistakes in his life, but this was one that he didn't think he would make. Over the years of being married to Tayuya he had carelessly placed her name primarily on the titles of his land. A divorce later and here he was a man who had been owned, penniless, and his land taken because she had a better lawyer.
Fuck if he'd be stupid enough to stay and work on that land, if she wanted it, she could figure out how it worked! Kisame smirked. She couldn't even sell them off because they officially still were under King Minato's jurisdiction. Smart man that one, making sure his land was not being sold off if it was not under the care of the person he had appointed.
Long story short, Kisame had left and taken his sons with him. That had been about six months ago, when they had started their journey to the ever-elusive Sharingan. Along the way, they had gotten lost, met with some nasty people, and kicked out of several establishments. Despite not having one singular form of transportation Kisame was glad that they had somehow made it.
On his map he had Itachi's address scribbled across, information he treasured since the man gave it to him a few years back. He had saved it well because something told him that he was going to need it in the future.
Like now, for example.
"Dad, are we almost there now!" His eldest son, Kakuzu demanded, stomping his feet as he glared at him.
"We are tired dad!" His youngest son, Hidan complained with a pout.
"We are almost there, just hold on a little longer," He finally told them.
He hoped that Itachi still had that deal on the table for him, because if that didn't pan out he really didn't know where he and his sons would go. They were almost out of the little money they had. This was his last hope for them to survive.
He had to try.
"Dad! Dad, dad, dad, dad," The two started to chant repeatedly at the same time making Kisame's eye twitch.
"What," he called, exasperated, making them laugh.
"We're hungry," they chorused together, smiling cutely up at him.
"I know, but we have to wait. Please be patient," he begged of them. They were only kids though. Their patience wasn't going to hold for long. Kisame sighed. Please someone help him, his boys were driving him crazy. "Just a bit longer okay," he said to them. Not a minute later they were back to asking him if they were there yet.
An hour later and with both Hidan and Kakuzu finally quiet, Kisame paused at two large gates. At the front a guard approached them, asking them who he was there to see.
"I'm here to see…un… Uchiha Itachi," Kisame hesitated, wondering if Itachi even had a title now. Kakuzu and Hidan moved closer to him a bit scared by the blank faced guard.
"Contact Lord Itachi, there is someone here to see him." The guard called his colleague in the booth.
"What's his name?" The other guard asked, what looked like a digital tablet of some sort in his hand.
"Oh, uh, my name is Kisame," Kisame answered when the first guard gave him a look to answer. It took about a minute and then he and his sons were being processed. Their pictures and fingerprints were taken and registered. Only then were they given directions to Itachi's estate along with a pass.
Reading over the pass Kisame gaped at it.
Lord, huh, the guard had not been just saying it, Itachi was a fucking Lord.
As they passed every luxurious and large estate, Kakuzu and Hidan were now looking at his father in wonder as to who he knew with so much power. They started to whisper to each other about how cool everything was, and they grew excited.
Kisame let out a nervous breath as he led them to what had to be the largest of all the estates they had passed, gated away from all others. He quickly recognized Ikou and Hanawa at the front, standing guard at the gates.
"Kisame, it's you," Ikou said in surprise.
"Yeah, I came to see…Lord Itachi." Kisame said, not knowing what else he could say.
"Sure, do you have a pass?" Ikou asked.
Kisame nodded, handing him the pass. The pass was processed through a strange machine and then the gate opened. Kisame, Kakuzu, and Hidan awed as the gate moved to the side seemingly on its own before coming to an abrupt halt when it only opened enough to let a person in.
All three carefully stepped forward, and then the gate closed behind them, clicking back into place like a deadbolt.
"Follow me," Hanawa said as Ikou continued to work with the tablet in his hands. Kisame wondered what it was and what they were processing so much.
"This place is so big!" Kakuzu awed, throwing his hands out at the sheer wonder. He had never seen such a large home before.
"It's so cool!" Hidan agreed, nodding his head eagerly with sparkles in his eyes. The walk to the front seemed to take forever. Kisame glanced at the front deck that wrapped around the home and all the furniture that made it seem like an outdoor living room.
Hanawa opened the door for them and led them inside. All three were awed at how beautiful and how expensive everything looked.
Hanawa paused, looking at Kisame as he said. "If you want your sons can go to the backyard and play with the other children, I doubt they will want to be in an office all day." Hanawa offered.
"Can we dad!" Both boys pleaded. Kisame hesitated, not wanting them out of his sight.
"Okay," he relented when they kept begging. "But if you need anything you call for me!" Kisame said. He then turned to Hanawa, "Will they be able to find me if they need me?" he asked.
"Yes. Anko," he called. Kisame watched as a woman with short pixie dark hair approached them, "Anko could you take these two boys to play with the others, this is their father Kisame, he is going to speak with Lord Itachi about something."
"Sure, no problem," She smiled, the hostility on her face melting away. "Is there anything that I should know about them? Any special needs or allergies?" she asked Kisame.
"No, they are both fine,"
"Hungry!" Both boys said, eyes sparkling at the thought of delicious food.
"I guess they are hungry," Kisame chuckled, sheepishly.
Anko nodded and gently called for the boys to follow her to the kitchen for a snack. Kisame watched them go even as Hanawa asked him to follow him. Well, if he was going to be staying here, he was going to have to trust that they were going to be okay.
Kisame was led towards the lobby. He recognized Genma at the front, and Hanawa nodded at him as he left back to his duties. Kisame made his way over to Genma when the man signaled him to come forward.
"Genma, you're here too?" Kisame asked, shocked to see so many familiar faces so far.
"Yes," Genma smiled.
"Did Itachi offer all of you guys' jobs or something?" Kisame asked.
"Lord Itachi," Genma said stressing the word Lord, leaving no room for Kisame to doubt that he had to use the title as well. "didn't ask us anything. We offered to work for him." Genma collected a few files as he stepped away from the desk, "I will lead you inside now, please be respectful." He opened one of the double doors to what was Itachi's office.
Inside Itachi was sitting behind a desk on a couch that looked big enough for two people. It was an odd set up, if Kisame did say so himself.
Genma left and closed the door behind him.
"Kisame, I didn't expect to see you standing in front of me, ever," Itachi spoke, never once looking up from his paperwork. Kisame swallowed. There was something intense and a lot stricter about Itachi that he had not felt before. It struck immediate fear in him, enough to direct his eyes to the floor and actually tremble.
"I…uh Lord Itachi, I was hoping that your offer to work for you still stands. I have lost my land and I have two boys that I need to feed and care for. I…I don't know what you'd need me for, but you know what I'm good at and have attained a few other skills in the past years," Kisame quickly said.
Itachi finally paused and looked up at his old friend.
Nine years was a long time to say that he still knew Kisame, but he could give him a chance. The problem wasn't about trusting that Kisame would be a great worker and trustworthy, Itachi could easily test that. The problem was how a certain someone might feel about him being here.
Sasuke might not approve.
"Things won't be simple. You'll have to be approved. That means that you will not only be evaluated by me, but my husband, and our current staff," Itachi said standing up. Kisame bowed even more, closing his eyes tightly. "Follow me Kisame."
"Yes sir," Kisame said, rushing after the Uchiha.
"Hayate, could you cancel everything else for today, I have a matter to deal with," Itachi said on the way to exciting the office room.
"Right away my Lord," Hayate readily said and looked over Itachi's schedule and started to move things around.
When Anko noted that Kurenai was already making snacks for the children she told Kakuzu and Hidan to wait a bit and directed them outside.
Both boys had gotten a glimpse of the food and couldn't wait to taste some of it. Excitedly, they made it outside just in time to catch two little kids fighting over something that sounded very stupid.
"You cheated, there is no way that you could have gotten that hit in otherwise!" the girl with strawberry blond hair, lightly tanned skin, and golden eyes hissed. "You're a cheater, cheater, cheater pumpkin eater!" She crossed her arms over her sky-blue shirt that was neatly tucked into black shorts. On her feet, she had blue shoes.
"What do you mean I cheated. I don't need to do that in order to beat you!" A raven-haired boy with pale skin, and pretty black eyes snapped in return, gritting his teeth. He was a lot shorter than her, the front bangs of his raven hair were neatly tied in red ribbon, while the back of his hair was short. He had on a long sleeve black shirt, a red and white fan at the base of his nape, black jeans, and black shoes. "I work hard every day to be the best!"
"You kicked me while I was down, that's cheating!" The girl huffed, stomping her foot down in finality. She wasn't going to budge on the matter.
"I did not!" The little raven-haired boy pouted angrily.
"What are you two fighting about?" Kakuzu curiously asked while Hidan tilted his head. Both jumped when the blond and raven pointed real swords their way. The killing intent emanating from both was scary.
"Who are you?" The raven demanded, scrunching his nose up cutely in his attempt at a glare.
If anything, both brothers found themselves thinking that his eyes were very, very pretty. Large, black, and decorated in beautiful eyelashes. Neither brother had ever seen someone that pretty before. It gave them a false sense of security in assuming that something that pretty couldn't possibly hurt them.
"Damn, chill, I'm Kakuzu," Kakuzu then pointed at his younger brother, "That's Hidan, my little brother." He said, offering a friendly smile.
The two brought their swords down but were still looking at them suspiciously.
"Hey, how come you two have swords?" Hidan asked, envying the swords now that they were not being pointed at him and his brother.
"Our parents gave them to us," The girl proudly said before offering a smile and introducing herself, "I am Uzumaki Kuina, it's nice to meet you." Kuina gave them a curtsy making the boys smile wide at her and bow in return.
She then shoved her elbow into the side of the raven-haired boy next to her and threw him a look that told him to introduce himself as well.
Of course, her efforts were in vain as they went over the raven's head.
"Yo watch it you damn elephant, that hurt." The raven hissed, rubbing his ribs as he glared at her.
"What did you just call me? You spineless little twig," She hissed, shoving her cousin once more.
"An Ele-"
"Hey, what's that on your forehead," Kakuzu suddenly asked, moving with the intention of touching the royal purple stone on the raven's forehead. Before he could, a sharp small blade sliced through the air, nicking the side of his hand before it imbedded itself firmly on the ground. He hissed, bringing it close to his chest, "What the…"
He turned to see where the weapon had come from only to find a slightly older, taller, raven-haired boy, glaring at him with cold sharp eyes that were simply scary. He was dressed identical to the smaller raven.
"Daiichi, what the hell are you doing!" The blond boy standing beside said Daiichi snapped. He was a bit shorter than Daiichi, with spiky blond hair, blue eyes, and dressed in red and black. "You could have hurt him! You're not supposed to use your weapons to hurt others. I am going to tell Uncle Sasuke on you!"
"He was going to touch my otouto," Daiichi curtly said, looking like he didn't care that the blond was yelling at him. When the blond started to rant, Daiichi shot him a glare, "Shut up already Nakoru," he said, pushing past his cousin to see who the newcomers were.
Nakoru followed him with a glare as he stomped behind him.
"Hey Imouto," Nakoru greeted Kuina with a pet to her head and the young girl shot him a grin in return.
Daiichi paused Infront of his baby brother and asked. "You okay, otouto?"
"Of course, Niisan," the younger raven crossed his arms, turning his head. "I can take care of myself," he muttered petulantly with a soft rosy blush on his cheeks. Daiichi simply offered him a smile before turning a serious look to the two new boys.
"Who are you?" Daiichi asked.
This boy was different. He was dangerous just by the sight of him.
"I'm Kakuzu," The older one answered, feeling like he needed to be careful. The thing was... of what? This kid was probably the same age as him, he couldn't be afraid of him.
"And I'm Hidan," The younger one introduced himself, a bit more oblivious to the danger. "How the heck did you do that with the knife?"
"A lot of practice," Daiichi replied.
"Hmph, if you want to survive in this house you have to learn how to use all kinds of weapons, no doubt," Nakoru complained before he offered Hidan and Kakuzu a friendly smile. "I'm prince Nakoru from Ninetails, and Konoha, welcome to the Uchiha Estate. This rude bastard here failed to introduce himself but he's Prince Daiichi of Konoha and the young Lord of the- ouch why did you hit me!"
"TMI Nakoru," Daiichi glared at his cousin.
Nakoru ignored Daiichi, "So where are you two from?" he asked, flashing his friendly smile once more.
"We're from nowhere, don't worry about us," Kakuzu said. "Our dad lost his lands and divorced our mom, so who knows what we are," Hidan nodded through his brother's explanation.
"What no way," Nakoru gasped, unable to believe what he had been told. "What is your dad planning to do now?"
Both boys shrugged. They didn't know.
"Jin! Tell her that she had no right to eat my ice-cream!" a red-headed girl screamed as she followed a much older boy. Next to her was another girl that looked like the red head except she had white hair and was glaring to the side, ignoring the red-haired girl. Obviously, twins, each dressed in rompers the opposite of their hair color.
"Stop fighting, we will just buy more," The older boy looked annoyed with their fighting and was trying to get away from them. He was dressed in a dark gray shirt, and black jeans.
"That's not the point, I wanted that one!" The red-headed girl cried.
"Huh, who do we have here?" The older boy said as he approached, closely followed by the sulking twins.
"We have new people here it seems," Daiichi smirked, "The nobodies, Kakuzu and Hidan," he added teasingly.
"Hey," Both boys glared at Daiichi.
"Did uncle Itachi say anything about them?" The older boy with mid long white hair and green eyes asked but everyone shook their head in the negative while Hidan and Kakuzu looked at them in confusion. The older boy was not detoured as he turned to face the newcomers and smiled at them, "Well, welcome to the Uchiha Estate, I'm Jin and you can come ask me if you need anything. This is princess Erza and princess Anju,"
Erza waved at them with a slight smile while Anju turned up her nose and crossed her arms looking away. Erza elbowed her, telling her to be nice.
"Is this a castle or something?" Hidan asked.
"Uh no," Jin laughed, "But their parents come from different kingdoms before they came here," he explained as he signaled to the twins and the Uchiha brothers. "Prince Nakoru and Princess Kuina are currently visiting us," he tilted his head in curiosity, "Why are you two here?"
"We came with our father; he divorced our mom, and he said that Mister Uchiha Itachi would help us out." Hidan explained.
"You need my dad's help?" Daiichi asked perplexed.
"Uchiha Itachi is your dad?" Kakuzu asked, wondering if his father came to talk to a king or something.
"Yeah, if you want to go talk to him, I can take you," Daiichi offered.
"Um no, my dad already went. Miss Anko said that we could hang out here because it's almost snack time." Kakuzu said, a bit nervous at the idea of talking to someone that might be too important. Now he wondered how his father was doing.
"Guys!" Running over to them was a pretty brown-haired girl with reddish eyes. She was dressed in a white shirt and maroon skirt. "My mom says its snack time, she said to wash up and come to the outside deck to eat," she said as she stopped in front of them with a large smile.
"Thank you Mirai, we will be there," Daiichi politely said, giving the girl a sweet smile. Mirai nodded her head and ran off back to her mother now that she had completed her duties.
"Oh, Miss Kurenai makes some delicious snacks, I can't wait. Last one there is a rotten egg!" Nakoru called, rushing off.
"Oh, he's going to get scolded again," Jin muttered as Nakoru ran straight to the deck instead of the kitchen to wash his hands like they had been asked to do. Kuina blushed in slight embarrassment for her older brother's behavior.
Jin led all of them to the kitchen to wash up.
Nakoru came in a minute later with a pout on his face.
Sasuke looked at Kisame with a frown, his arms crossed.
Kisame gaped at the sight of Sasuke, unable to believe how he looked so much more beautiful than before. There was no way that someone could become even more beautiful with age, could they? Yeah, Sasuke just broke the rules.
He was like fine wine.
Of course, Kisame could not figure out why Sasuke was frowning at him.
"Hey," he finally said trying to say something, or just anything to kill the silence that had taken over.
"I have no idea how Suigetsu would feel about this," Sasuke muttered mostly to himself and turned to look at Itachi. Both ravens seemed to communicate something silently with just their eyes. Kisame flinched, looking down. Fuck would Itachi kill him for thinking that Sasuke was beautiful. Because fuck if Itachi didn't look like he could kill anyone with just a look.
"Is everything okay?" Kisame asked, confused when they turned to look at him with calculating looks. Itachi and Sasuke sighed as they both realized that Kisame probably had no feelings for Suigetsu to begin with. The man would most definitely be fine coming here to ask for help because he had nothing weighting his heart all those years.
He probably never even once missed or thought about Suigetsu.
Which was fine, but on the other hand, Suigetsu had a lot of pain he had to let go of over the years.
He had come a long way to be an incredible father, a better guard, and a better fighter. Suigetsu was in a good place in his life right now with himself, and they were not going to let that change. His wellbeing and mental health came first.
It wouldn't be fair to him if they let Kisame come here and made his life uncomfortable.
"Kisame, join us for dinner. We will give you an answer tomorrow morning. Your children and you can stay in one of the guest rooms. I'll have Anko prepare one for you." Itachi said, thinking at the very least it would give him time to figure out how to help Kisame. "Just know that we don't allow anyone to come upstairs and if you need anything from the kitchen you have to ask Deidara or Sasori."
"Thank you," Kisame smiled, nodding his head. He wasn't going to argue with Itachi, not when he was so tired and hungry and so were his boys. Even if they didn't get to stay, this already sounded better than nothing. "We haven't eaten or slept anywhere properly in the past month, this will be great,"
"Juugo, get Anko for us," Sasuke called.
Juugo nodded and bowed before leaving to do as asked.
"How come Suigetsu isn't the one guarding you anymore, prince Sasuke?" Kisame suddenly asked. He didn't want to admit that he hadn't realized that someone was around keeping an eye on them, silently guarding.
Sasuke smirked. "Suigetsu guards the children now, and more than likely is also busy dealing with Kyuubi and Naruto at the moment. Their youngest son is a bit of a handful,"
"King Kyuubi and King Naruto are here as well?" Kisame asked with unconcealed shock.
"Yes, they came to visit us. They are mainly just enjoying themselves as much as they can without having to deal with work. They are also waiting for Uncle Minato and Aunt Kushina who said they will be here by dinner." Sasuke explained.
"Family reunion?" Kisame asked.
"More like family interrogation," Itachi sighed.
Sasuke smiled at his husband, moving closer to him and holding his hand. Over the years his uncle had been tough in the contract that allied Konoha with Sharingan and kept constantly changing things. Although the man didn't visit often, he was a pain in the neck.
Especially for Itachi.
"I see," Kisame could only imagine how everything went when the king and queen of Konoha visited but couldn't comment on it as Juugo returned with Anko. She then instructed Kisame to follow her. She led him to what would be his and the boys' room for the night.
Meanwhile, Itachi and Sasuke located Suigetsu and told him to prepare himself, because Kisame was going to be joining them for dinner. It was said in passing as they went onto the deck to see the two new children that were easily getting along with the other kids.
They were all easily bonding over snack time while Mirai happily helped serve.
Naruto and Kyuubi were there as well, dealing with their crying five-year-old son, Natsuo.
He was dressed in an orange sweater, orange jeans to match his fiery red hair and the gold eyes that he got from his father, but he certainly had his papa's lungs with how loud he was. He wasn't happy to be away from home. It was the third day since they had come to visit and Natsuo couldn't get used to the change. His constant cries were that he wanted to go back home.
"You still haven't calmed him down?" Sasuke asked as he took a seat next to his cousin.
"Not yet," Naruto sighed as he held his son on his lap, looking tired. Natsuo had not been letting him sleep through the night. The boy was making it difficult for both his parents to relax.
"I'm going to get him a snack," Kyuubi stood to get his youngest something to munch on.
Natsuo suddenly clammed up, tense as his wide golden eyes watched Sasuke closely. Sasuke was starting to suspect that the child was scared of him and Itachi. His point was further proven when Itachi sat next to him and Natsuo gasped in fear before burying his face in Naruto's chest, refusing to look up.
Sasuke secretly thought that it was funny, but at least the child wasn't crying anymore, too scared to make a sound now. He only wondered how long it would take Naruto and Kyuubi to connect the dots as to what was bothering their son.
Kyuubi returned then, a plate of food and a zippy cup in hand. Naruto smiled at him gratefully. The first time Natsuo had knocked the food to the ground.
"Hey, you sure you don't want to eat? Daddy got you a new plate," Naruto asked, ruffling his son's hair.
The child nodded against Naruto's chest. The blond turned his son around so that he could face the table where his food was. The tiny red head stiffly reached for the food, taking a few bites carefully.
Sasuke leaned against Itachi, smirking at him.
Itachi returned it, knowing what his husband was thinking, although he felt bad for the boy. Itachi couldn't understand why he was so scared of them when his siblings weren't.
The door opened once more as Anko led Kisame onto the deck and towards his sons. The two boys smiled widely when they saw him, showing off their food to their father. Kisame smiled and then told them to come with him. The boys set their plate to the side and followed their father towards where Itachi and Sasuke were.
Sasuke sat up, blinking down at the two boys.
"Lord Itachi, Lord Sasuke, these are my son's Kakuzu and Hidan," Kisame introduced.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you," Itachi said. The boys dropped their heads in a bow, both thinking that the Lords of this house were pretty and scary at the same time. Kinda like their sons.
"Ni-nice to meet you!" They stuttered in unison. "Th-thank you for the food!" they added.
"Kisame let them eat," Sasuke said.
Kisame nodded, telling the boys to go back. They gladly did, returning to their seats to finish their meal. "I just wanted you to meet them," Kisame grinned, "they're my pride and joy."
"How old are they?" Naruto asked as he glanced at the boys.
"Kakuzu is nine and Hidan is eight," Kisame said, "What about your little ones?" he asked when he noted the red head sitting quietly on Naruto's lap, munching on apple slices.
"I have three," Naruto said, and then pointed off to his two other children "Nakoru is ten, Kuina is seven, and this is my youngest, Natsuo, he's five,"
"Wow, three," Kisame muttered, impressed, and turned to Sasuke and Itachi. "And you guys have how many?"
"We have two." Sasuke pointed at his sons, "Our eldest is Daiichi, he's nine and our youngest is Yuuji, he's five," Sasuke said.
"Huh, just two, then who are the other four…" Kisame said as he looked at the rest of the children, "That one looks like a big kid though." He said, pointing at the oldest looking one.
"That's Jin, he's fourteen. He's Kimimaro and Juugo's son." Itachi explained. "The twin girls are nine-year-old Erza and Anju. They are Karin and Suigetsu's daughters." Itachi saw no reason to hide that fact from Kisame. "Mirai is seven, she's Kurenai and Asuma's daughter."
"Ah, you guys sure keep a lively household," Kisame smirked as he saw Daiichi reach across the table to stab into Jin's plate, a fierce glare on his face that the older boy returned. The twins started to scream, reaching for each of Jin's arms to detour him from impeding Daiichi's goal. Nakoru glared, reaching for Daiichi to hold him back. This caused Yuuji to jump at his brother's defense, pulling on Nakoru's hair while demanding that he let his niisan go. Kuina huffed, reaching to stop Yuuji from touching her brother by pulling on his arms and screaming at him to stop.
Naruto and Kyuubi gasped, getting to their feet to try and stop what was going on. Sasuke sighed, closing his eyes as he called a sharp, "Daiichi!"
Automatically, Daiichi gave up what he had been trying to steal and sat back. Everyone froze once he did that. The small raven bit his lip, knowing full well that if he said anything to his parents about this being unfair that he was going to get in trouble.
Naruto and Kyuubi sighed. "I still have no idea how you do that Teme," Naruto muttered angrily as he got comfortable in his seat once more.
"What? Let my child know when enough is enough?" Sasuke asked. "Daiichi is smart, but even he hates being made to write essays for hours," Sasuke said with a slight smirk.
Naruto flinched, looking at Sasuke with pure disbelief.
"You actually punish your son by making him write?"
"That and extra lectures," Sasuke shrugged. "And no training until he completes it all, Daiichi hates not being able to train,"
Kyuubi looked at both Sasuke and Itachi with disdain, "Those children of yours are dangerous," Kyuubi said.
Kisame gave the red headed king a curious look, "Dangerous how?" he asked.
"Oh, you will see," Kyuubi smirked. Kisame was unsure what he meant by that.
The children all made a battle cry as they headed back to the gardens. Kisame watched his sons follow along and smiled at the fact that they could be just children. It had been a long time since he had last seen them so excited to play.
King Minato and his Queen Kushina had made it in time for dinner.
The two were fussing over their grandchildren, proud to listen to what they had been up to that day. They helped settle the children in the separate table that was set up for them.
Minato even took some time to scold Kisame over losing the lands but said he would recall them regardless and investigate Tayuya. Slowly, the grownups took their seats.
Kurenai, Yakumo, and Deidara had prepared tonight's dinner with the care to feed the visiting royal family and now had to be further altered to fit Kisame and his children. While they served, Sasuke placed the finishing touches to the meal he had personally prepared for his family. Itachi then took the plates, being sure to place them for them.
"Are you sure you can handle dinner tonight?" Sasuke asked, bending down to pick up Yuuji. His youngest was currently going through a phase where he'd cling to either his papa or daddy, refusing to do as he was told. Especially when it involved his grandparents.
Suigetsu who had been peeking out to the dining room flinched as he turned to face Sasuke. He smiled at the sight before him.
The child had his head buried against his papa's neck, all tuckered out from a long day of playing and running with his cousins and brother. His hair was much like his daddy's, albeit still very short and barely reaching his neck. He had blood red ribbons swirling down his bangs that the twins liked tying into his hair and Yuuji didn't seem to mind them when Daiichi commented that he liked them. Yuuji definitely had more of Itachi in him than Sasuke, especially in the shape of his eyes. That didn't mean that he still didn't resemble both his parents greatly with the raven hair, pale skin, and deep black eyes. On his forehead sat a deep purple stone, which his sons only wore when his uncle and aunt came to visit, if Sasuke was being honest.
"I…was just looking to see…" he went silent, pursing his lips. "He's still good looking even after all this time." He let out a breath, grasping his hands at his chest. "Damn it Sasuke why do I still feel something for him. Why, it's been years," The white-haired man screwed his eyes shut, pulling at his hair in distress.
"I think you are a case of the heart wants what it wants," Sasuke smirked, "have you saved yourself for him, Suigetsu?" he teased.
Suigetsu glared, "What no! I like having my balls licked you know."
"Not in front of my son," Sasuke glared and Suigetsu quickly apologized. Yuuji let out a yawn as he snuggled closer to his papa, his eyes drooping. He wasn't paying much attention to what was being said around him anyways.
"I'll be fine Sasuke," Suigetsu glanced back at Kisame. The man had two sons and they were the main reason why Suigetsu couldn't be cruel and ask that his lords turn him away. If he was in his position with his daughters, needing help. He shook his head, "It's not a big deal. I've learned a lot over the years. I can handle Kisame coming to work here."
It would just be that.
All he had to do was avoid him.
"Are you really sure?" Sasuke asked, pressing the issue.
Suigetsu nodded, "yes, I'm sure," the man said much more convincingly this time. "Also, I don't want his sons to suffer because of me. I really am alright. I don't mind,"
Sasuke gave Suigetsu a look that said he didn't believe him. "Let's get through the dinner first, and then we shall see how you feel," Sasuke said seriously making Suigetsu grin at him for the chance.
"Thanks Sasuke,"
With that, Suigetsu left to join the table. He made his way over to his girls, petting their hair to make them scream and complain before turning to smile up at him. Anju and Erza adored their father and had no qualms about hugging him tight and pressing wet kisses to his cheek. He then moved to sit next to Karin who was having a heated, yet quiet conversation with Kushina.
There was still the fight that as princesses, either Anju or Erza, would have to go back to Senju to rule. Karin didn't want that. She only wanted her daughters to remain with her, free and happy here in Sharingan. The reality was that time was soon approaching as to what would happen in their future.
Karin was faced with a dilemma.
Training to be a princess took years. Her parents wanted to get started already. They needed an answer now before they made a move on their own.
Sasuke and Itachi joined the table last.
Yuuji yawned as he was settled on his daddy's lap and seemed more awake once he realized that food was in front of him.
"So, Sasuke and Itachi, how have you two been?" Minato asked.
"We're good," Sasuke responded. Itachi gave a nod to that.
"I'm glad because there is a lot that we need to discuss," Minato started.
"Let's get through tonight first and we can deal with all of that in the morning," Itachi cut in before Minato got too out of hand. Minato laughed and agreed, turning back to his meal. Sasuke shook his head.
"I SAID I DON'T WANT TO!" Karin suddenly snapped, stopping conversations all around. Realizing that she had snapped, the red head shook her head and left the dining room. Suigetsu knew he would have to talk to her and make sure she was well.
"Go back to eating, I'll go check on mommy." he told his daughters who had been looking at him with worry in their eyes. The twin nodded, turning back to their cousins. Their worry remained, but they wanted to be strong for their parents.
"What was that about?" Naruto asked.
"We're just trying to get her to see how important it is that she returns to Senju," Kushina said.
"I see," Naruto said, realizing how important his mother's words were.
"Aunty why don't we enjoy dinner tonight and leave everything else for tomorrow, You guys barely got here and already you are trying to dictate things to others. Take a break," Sasuke said. Kushina let out a deep breath and nodded.
"You are right Sasuke, sorry about that." She relented.
By now the children were back in their own world while the grown-ups resumed eating. Conversation soon returned to them. Mainly them catching up on what had happened in their homes recently, as well as Natsuo's homesickness.
"Well that explains why Natsuo is not sitting with the other children, but what about Yuuji?" Minato asked as he turned to look at the child sitting on Itachi's lap. The small raven was bringing food to his mouth when he heard his grandpa say his name.
"What?" Yuuji asked, blinking his large inky eyes at him
Minato smiled at the boy's assertiveness, "Why aren't you eating with the other children?" he asked.
Yuuji grinned and said, "I like eating with papa and daddy!" the boy licked his lips as he reached for the food once more, "They have all the tasty food, food" he added happily.
"What do you mean we have all the tasty food, we give your brother the same and plenty of it," Sasuke said to his son.
"You have the bigger food!" Yuuji proved his point by biting into an uncut stake that was too big for his mouth, but it didn't stop him from trying to tare through it with his teeth. Like he was some sort of animal.
"If we don't give you smaller bites you will choke," Sasuke said as he moved to clean his son's messy face. Yuuji pouted as he failed to tear off a piece of meat but let his papa clean him. Itachi had to reach over and cut the meat into smaller bites.
"Your kid is something else," Kisame commented.
"He's a lot like Sasuke," Kyuubi chuckled.
"Both boys are just like Sasuke," Naruto snorted and shifted Natsuo higher on his lap because he was slipping forward. The little red head had his spoon in his mouth, now slightly distracted by the tiny boy sitting with his uncles. He really did think that they were scary but to see the boy sitting happily with them, he started to reconsider.
Maybe they weren't that scary?
Who was the kid?
Turning his head towards his papa he asked, "Papa who is he?" and pointed to Yuuji with his spoon. At this point Itachi was holding Yuuji back from shoving a large piece of steak into his mouth. The man held up a small piece of meat stuck to a fork for his son to take.
"Hm, you mean your cousin Yuuji?" Naruto asked in return.
The boy nodded, and then turned back to face his cousin Yuuji who was now reaching towards his papa for his cup of juice.
"What a handful," Kushina giggled. "You two are spoiling him." She commented, "You should make him eat with the others."
"We've tried, he ends up falling asleep," Sasuke said as he screwed the top of the zippy cup properly before handing it off to his son. "We find it easier to make sure he eats now, or we will be getting up in the middle of the night because he's hungry."
"Doesn't he take naps?" Minato asked. He knew Sasuke was like that when younger, all of that changed when he napped during the day. Even if Sasuke was a picky eater to begin with, that had been a whole other issue all together.
"Daiichi doesn't let him nap," Sasuke said, "That's usually the time he returns back from school and Yuuji gets too excited to see him."
"I guess whatever works best then," Minato said, although deep down he believed that Itachi and Sasuke needed to be firmer with their children.
The conversation then moved to stories about what had been happening in Konoha. Kisame even shared a few stories about what had been happening to him and the reason for leaving his wife. Naruto shared some stories about Nakoru and his dilemma with school as they had opted to send him to one as well. Naruto was horrified when his mother suggested that Nakoru perhaps had a potential crush that was distracting him in school.
The night ended when Natsuo and Yuuji fell asleep.
Naruto called for Nakoru and Kuina, leading them back to their rooms so they could prepare to go to bed. The blond was tired and didn't care if his husband wanted to stay up a bit later, Naruto just wanted to get to bed at a proper time.
Suigetsu returned to get the twins and bid everyone goodnight.
Kyuubi stayed behind and had a few drinks and started a conversation with Itachi who had handed off Yuuji to Sasuke. Kisame joined them, followed by Minato opted to stay although Kushina said she was going off to bed.
Kimimaro came in then to have dinner with Juugo. By now the other staff had already eaten in the kitchen and gone off to bed themselves.
As the night got later, Jin was forced to go to bed. Kisame's boys had gone to him asking where they would sleep. Kisame excused himself and led them to their new room.
Daiichi, who was now the only child that was awake, walked up to his daddy, tugging his arm.
"Dad let's go to bed," the small raven whined. He didn't want to go to bed unless his dad did too. Itachi got to his feet.
"Alright son," Itachi said. "Good night," he bid to the others and went on his way. Daiichi skipped ahead of his dad, going up the stairs.
"It is late, we should go to bed," Minato groaned getting to his feet. Kyuubi nodded, trudging to go find his husband. The lights were finally shut off.
"Karin, I think that it's time that you contacted your parents and made a deal with Itachi," Suigetsu suggested as he and Karin were tucking their daughters into bed. The red headed woman sat at the end of the bed, a distressed look on her face.
She, the princess of Senju, had been refused the crown. She'd been disowned and her parents kept their position. Now that they were getting on with their years and they knew of their granddaughters, they were reaching out. Claiming that they were princesses that needed to someday take over. Now, only now in the face of their mortality they were reaching out.
And it wasn't even because they were worried about her. Not for the daughter that they threw out and disowned, but the granddaughters they had asked her to get rid off.
She wanted to laugh.
How dare they.
She wanted nothing to do with them and wanted to keep her daughters away from them.
"Suigetsu, I hated being a princess. I can't tell you how free I have felt to come here. I've learned a lot about medicine and have extensive medical knowledge now. I want my girls to have freedom too," she said with tears in her eyes. "I want them to be able to choose what they want to do. I don't want my parents telling them what they must do...they don't deserve to know them."
Suigetsu moved to sit beside her, "Itachi can help us solve it. Just like he helped us before," Suigetsu wrapped a supportive arm around her shoulders. Karin dropped her head against his and nodded her head. She was so tired of all of this.
She hated that she would be asking for even more when Itachi and Sasuke had already given her so much. But what else could she do that didn't involve having to return to her parents.
"How are you two liking it here?" Kisame asked as he lay next to his sons. Both boys looked exhausted and ready to knock out.
"It's so cool! Jin is super awesome too. He taught us a few knife tricks." Hidan said with a large grin, "Daiichi is scary though, you can never tell if he's joking or not,"
"I like it here dad, are we going to stay?" Kakuzu asked. Both his boys looked at him expectantly and Kisame sighed.
"We will see what Lord Itachi says."
Both boys murmured that they wished Itachi would let them stay. Turning to each other about what they could do tomorrow. Kisame watched them until they settled and fell asleep. Even hours later, his mind kept running in circles.
He wanted to stay too.
After showering and brushing their teeth, Itachi and Sasuke were making their way to bed when their five-year-old barged into their room. They weren't surprised as they had sensed when the boy woke up and had been expecting him.
"We're terrible parents," Sasuke groaned, opening his arms to welcome his son to him. The small raven ran to his papa, falling asleep the moment his face hit his chest.
Itachi chuckled. "It won't take long for the other one to follow." He said, "He's not asleep yet," Itachi sat on the bed. Sasuke grinned, carefully setting Yuuji onto the bed before climbing in himself.
"You know my heat is almost here, we should have another," Sasuke suggested, tracing his fingers over Itachi's bare back. He leaned in, brushing his lips over the line of his spine, enjoying the feel of his warm skin. Itachi smelled amazing like always, and felt just as good, Sasuke wanted him so badly.
"No more," Itachi said, "you only get baby fever when you go into your heat, you will hate me if I get you pregnant again,"
Sasuke laughed softly, wrapping his arms around Itachi's neck and nuzzled his nape. "Maybe at first, but I don't mind." As Sasuke said that Daiichi walked into the room. He rushed to the bed, climbing in and under the covers to curl up next to his little brother. "Daiichi you know you are nine years old now," Sasuke said as he watched his eldest.
"But Papa, why does Yuuji get to sleep here!" he complained, burying his face in his younger brother's neck. He wasn't budging on this. For as much as Daiichi complained that his brother got to sleep here, the reality was that he was spoiled and was used to sleeping next to his parents.
It was a bad habit.
One both Sasuke and Itachi could only hope he'd grow out of as he got older.
Itachi threw Sasuke a look. Sasuke sighed in defeat, settling down to sleep. Itachi smirked, turning off the lights as he got under the covers as well. Their sons slept between them.
It felt like forever since Sasuke last slept pressed up completely against his husband.
"No more kids," Sasuke hissed with finality.
"No more," Itachi agreed.
Their two nuggets were enough.
The next day Daiichi and Yuuji were doing homework in their Daddy's office when Karin walked in. The red head talked with Itachi at length about what was bothering her and if he had any suggestions as to what she could do.
Itachi had a few ideas.
Karin let out a relieved sigh.
"Karin, if your daughters ever wish to know more about themselves, and learn where they come from…you wouldn't want one of them to rule?" Itachi asked.
"I…" Karin shrugged, "I really don't know." she admitted. "All I know is that they threw me out and disowned me. Because of my pregnancy I was left out to fend for myself. I personally don't want to go back."
With everything said and done, Itachi left to talk with Minato. The two of them concluded that they needed to reach a compromise with the king and queen of Senju. They decided to pack a bag each and head over to Senju and personally have a talk with Karin's parents.
The trip would be about the same as Nine Tails, a day long by train system.
"You're leaving?" Sasuke asked as he followed Itachi around, upset over the news. Itachi had explained Karin's dilemma and the plan that Minato and he had come up with to help her. "Let me come with," Sasuke demanded, upset that Itachi was telling him to stay behind.
"Hey, it's only for two days. We can't leave the kids alone and I don't want them going to a place that could potentially see us as a threat," Itachi said. He reached for his husband, cupping his face so that Sasuke would look up at him. "It's just two days, I promise I'll be back before your heat starts." Itachi pressed a kiss to his lips. Sasuke melted against him.
"Okay," He conceded with obvious reluctance. He refused to release his hold on Itachi, keeping him close.
Sasuke dipped his head in to deepen the kiss. Itachi's fingers trailed down the line of his spine, fingers curling around his ass. Sasuke moaned softly, pushing his hips into his husband. The two would have probably done more if Minato and Naruto didn't start screaming for them to hurry up.
Sasuke sadly watched Itachi leave.
That evening, Suigetsu was watching over the children, making sure that they were playing nicely when dinner time was called. Everyone seemed very quiet as they ate dinner. He turned to Karin and noted that she looked guilty.
"What's wrong?" he asked her.
"I feel like I made Itachi go out of his way to solve my problems," She softly admitted. "I'm sure Sasuke hates me right now."
"Hey now, I don't think that he does," Suigetsu said.
"This is my problem. I should solve it myself. It isn't fair that I'm involving them again," she said.
"Crying about it isn't going to solve anything." Sasuke cut in. Neither was being that discreet about their conversation and he needed to stop them. "Besides, Itachi and uncle are going on your behalf, you will be expected to also do your part."
Karin looked at Sasuke with shock and nodded.
"You're fortunate Karin, you have family willing to help you," Kushina added, "I'd call it a blessing that you aren't being thrown out to deal with it yourself. Just remember to be strong when the time comes, okay?"
"Yes aunty," Karin said.
"Good girl," Kushina smiled.
"Would you leave if Itachi and my uncle can't reach a compromise with Karin's parents?" Sasuke asked Suigetsu. Sasuke had called the man to his office, wanting to know how he felt so far about having Kisame around. Suigetsu had said he was alright, and to let them stay. Sasuke would tell Kisame the news later, but there was a bigger matter pressing on them.
The matter of who would be ascending the throne at Senju.
"I would leave to follow my daughters. I want to be there for them," Suigetsu said without hesitation. Sasuke smiled, sad that he might have to say goodbye to his friend.
"I figured that would be the case, it would be sad to lose you, my friend." Sasuke said.
"Hey now, it wouldn't be forever. I'm sure that Erza and Anju are going to become too important even for their dad," Suigetsu sobbed, pressing his hands to his face.
"What, no that wouldn't happen," Sasuke shook his head, placing a hand on Suigetsu's shoulder. "You're always going to be important to them. No matter how old they get."
"But" Suigetsu sniffled, "You left Konoha to follow Itachi, and Naruto left to follow Kyuubi. My daughters will someday do the same. They..." he cried ugly. Sasuke smiled sadly, moving away from his friend.
It was the fear that they all had.
Their children will grow up and start paving their own path into the future. Naruto had two sons that would become worthy of the thrones in both Konoha and nine-tails. Or it could be their daughter that would be better fitted for either role.
Itachi and himself had two sons that didn't necessarily have a title to a kingdom, not like Sharingan worked that way. But they surely one day would want their own home. They would be just like their father and have influence over the citizens of Sharingan.
"We want them to grow up, be happy and independent. They won't forget us. They will still be around." Sasuke assured Suigetsu. "I know I want my sons to grow up and be happy, even if it takes them away from me and Itachi."
"With how attached those two are to you and Itachi I think you two will have the opposite problem," Suigetsu laughed, despite the tears still falling down his cheeks.
Sasuke rolled his eyes.
Sasuke was getting ready for bed with his boys. All three were brushing their teeth. The two boys then ran to the bedroom, snuggling under the covers. Sasuke was much slower as he properly set everything away and then shut the lights off. He made his way over to the bedroom, looking out through the window at the darkened front yard.
He missed Itachi a lot.
Noticing that their papa wasn't coming to bed, the two boys looked over at him worriedly.
"What's wrong Papa?" Daiichi asked, "Is dad working late?" he asked. It wouldn't be the first time that his daddy would be working late. He could remember sometimes sleeping in his dad's office with his papa on the couch to keep him company.
"Something like that," Sasuke said, and turned to his boys with a smile. He hadn't told them that their father had left. He knew that his boys were stubborn like him and would demand that they go find him, and Sasuke would be powerless. It was what he wanted to do the most right now. "Let's sleep," he said going to the bed to settle in next to them. The two children smiled at him as they snuggled into his side, calling good night.
Sasuke found it hard to sleep that night.
Early noon the next day, Sasuke had delivered the good news to Kisame.
"We are staying," Kisame had gone out to find his boys. Hidan and Kakuzu cheered, happy that they now had a home. Sasuke had assigned separate rooms for the children, if Kisame wanted them.
He did, he knew the boys did too.
Once settled in their new bedrooms, the two ran outside to meet up with their new friends.
Daiichi was holding Yuuji in his lap, while the two watched Jin taunt the twins. Nakoru and Kuina weren't around.
"Guess what guys!" Kakuzu cheered as he came near, "We are going to be living here now,"
"What, really?" Jin gasped in surprise, but not really. He knew Uncle Itachi and Sasuke were kind. They would help anyone if they could.
"What are you guys doing?" Hidan asked.
"Some training,"
Jin and the twins kept training. Hidan watched them happily while Kakuzu eyed Daiichi and Yuuji. He always found their actions so weird. He would never let his brother sit on his lap or be all touchy with him. Not the way that Daiichi and Yuuji were with each other.
They were so weird.
He looked away when Daiichi planted a kiss on Yuuji's cheek, making the smaller giggle and shy away from him.
Two days came and went, and Itachi had not returned. Now it was the end of the third, and still no sign of him.
It was midnight and Sasuke was up worrying that something had happened to his husband. He had been hoping that Itachi would be back today before it got late. Sasuke was close to tears but the fact that he had his two boys kept him from breaking down.
Daiichi and Yuuji at this point realized that their dad was missing and weren't sure where he could have gone. The fact that their papa looked unsettled scared them. They had never gone so long without seeing their father before.
"Papa where is daddy?" Yuuji and Daiichi asked in small voices. Sasuke flinched when he realized that his boys were both wide awake. "Papa, we want daddy."
Sasuke let out a sigh and walked over to his sons. He hadn't wanted to worry them.
"It's okay, Daddy should be home tomorrow," Sasuke tried to assure, but his voice broke. Yuuji's eyes started to water.
"Where did he go?" Daiichi asked.
"He went to visit your aunt Karin's parents," Sasuke said, "He had to take a train there, so it's probably delayed or something."
"Are you sure Daddy will be back?" Yuuji asked with tears in his eyes, "He didn't leave us forever, right?"
"What, no, why would Daddy do that to us?" Sasuke asked. Yuuji shrugged but kept sniffling. Sasuke pulled him to his chest. "Let's go to bed okay. Daddy will be home soon," He couldn't hold it, he cried. This caused Daiichi and Yuuji to break down crying as well.
Realizing that it wasn't helping anyone, Sasuke decided to come up with a distraction.
Sasuke had to read his boys a story until they finally went to bed. He, on the other hand, remained up, counting the minutes and agonizing. Praying for Itachi to return to him.
The next day, late afternoon, Sasuke received the notification that Itachi and Minato were making their way to the mansion. Sasuke wasted no time gathering his boys and they waited at the gate, eager to see Itachi.
"I see him!" Yuuji announced when he spotted his father. Yes, there he was.
"Itachi!"
"DADDY!"
Itachi was tackled by all three the second that he walked in through the gate.
Minato was shocked to see Sasuke and the boys in tears while clinging to Itachi. Although he realized that in this small family Itachi was the husband and the father. The one person that the other three relied on heavily. If something were to happen to him, Sasuke and the boys would be left vulnerable to anyone wishing them harm.
From what he had come to realize, there were plenty of people wishing them harm. Sasuke's beauty was a magnet for trouble. His boys were no doubt going to be the same.
"How did things go?" Kushina asked, walking down to the gates. She smiled at the sight of the reunited family.
"Everything went well. Karin's parents asked if they could talk to her, but the agreement stands that one of our own will take over Senju in case Karin's daughters choose never to when they come of age." Minato grinned. "For now, Karin's daughters are princesses in Sharingan, where they will be doing the majority of their learning, depending on their choices"
The contract had been drawn up and signed by him. It took longer than anticipated, but Karin's parents had been swayed by Itachi's words. On top of the threat that Sharingan would not hesitate to bring Senju to its feet and colonize it.
The old fool really thought he could get his way.
Minato actually felt pride watching Itachi negotiate and draw up a contract that would allow Karin to keep her title, and if possible, when older her girls could choose to aim for the throne. It was a small grace that was left, but Minato held the rights now. It was his decision.
"Well, that's not too bad." Kushina smiled. "We should probably talk to Karin about what to expect, then?"
"That, or Itachi and Sasuke could take it over," Minato glanced at Daiichi and Yuuji, two princes viable to take over if allowed. Or in their case, if they chose to do so. The two decided to let the family continue their happy reunion and went in search of Karin. The girl was glad to hear of what had been compromised but made it clear that she didn't think she wanted her daughters to take over. It was just all a matter of time, and she would have to talk with her daughters once they were old enough to understand. She and Suigetsu were a united front when it came to their girls.
Itachi had told Sasuke everything that had happened and why they had been delayed. He cursed out Karin's parents for being annoying and trying to keep his husband. The fact that they had wanted to attack him made Sasuke feel vengeful, but that feeling could wait. Right now, he was burning up, and he needed Itachi.
The two made their way to one of the empty bedrooms and locked the door. Their boys were in bed asleep, and the night was otherwise still and quiet.
Sasuke wasted no time in losing his clothes, didn't even care to make their way to the bed. Eagerly, he fell onto his knees, mouth begging to be filled. Itachi cursed under his breath, pulling his dick out for Sasuke. The boy latched onto it, sucking him down to the point that his knees buckled.
"Slow down, baby," Itachi hissed under his breath. Sasuke moaned around him, swallowing him down. "Fuck," Itachi ran his fingers through Sasuke's hair, watching him. The feeling of his husband around him, and the sight of him had him almost on the edge of his sanity. "Where do you want me to cum Sasuke, I'm so close,"
Sasuke pulled away at that, "Inside of me, I want you inside," Sasuke sobbed softly, turning himself around to brace himself against the door. His hands reached back to pull his ass cheeks apart, showing of off that slutty hole of his. Pink and needy, it winked back at Itachi, begging him.
Itachi was the one to drop to his knees this time. He kissed Sasuke's quivering thighs, marking his path up to his little hole. His tongue shoved in, pushing Sasuke open. Sasuke cried out, spreading his legs more as he chanted Itachi's name.
"Always so good for me, Sasuke," Itachi praised, his fingers pushing in with his tongue. Opening Sasuke further.
"Please, I need you, please," Sasuke sobbed.
Itachi slowly got to his feet, kissing up Sasuke's spine, until he was at his throat. He pressed several kisses to the sensitive skin there, before latching on and sucking. Sasuke mewled, throwing his head back. Itachi pressed the head of his cock at his entrance and pushed in hard and fast.
Sasuke cried out, not holding back. He pushed back to meet Itachi's hard thrusts. The two of them working up the first of many orgasms that would precede this night. Itachi's hold tightened around Sasuke's arching body, angling to meet that sweet spot inside of him.
"Itachi!" Sasuke came, spurting his cum all over the wall. Itachi pulled out, still hard. He picked Sasuke up, bridal style, and took him over to the bed. There he laid his panting husband and locked his mouth into a kiss.
Sasuke wrapped his arms around Itachi's neck and shoulders, pulling him on top of him. His legs fell open, welcoming his husband to enter him again. Itachi let out a harsh breath, lining Sasuke's body with his and took his husband again.
The royal family didn't always come together for any reason. There was actually a good reason for not only Naruto and Kyuubi to come to Sharingan, and that was the announcement of Madara and Izuna Uchiha's renewal of vows.
Minato had never met Itachi's parents before. He was curious about them and Kushina had insisted several times before about wanting to know them. The man was married to Sasuke, and yet Itachi remained an enigma.
One Minato grew curious about each daus about each day, seeing as at home, Kushina and Tsunade would whisper to themselves about Itachi's and Sasuke's children. Minato couldn't figure out why, seeing as both kids looked healthy and happy.
Well, whatever, today, finally, some of those whispers might be answered.
The celebration for the renewal of wedding vows for Madara and Izuna had pulled the entire family into one venue at the Emeral Uchiha Estate. It wasn't as large as the central Estate, but it was one that the Uchiha family liked to use for events.
Left to right, all you could see was much the same, the pale skin, raven hair, dark eyes, of finely dressed women and men alike. Itachi, Sasuke, Daiichi, and Yuuji all fit well amongst the crowd. Nearly seamless. Kushina was left gaping at the sight, and Minato felt weirded out as well.
"So, you two are the other grandparents," Madara said.
"Yes, we are Sasuke's parents," Kushina forced a smile.
Madara and Izuna stared down Minato and Kushina. It felt like a showdown of the grandparents as they sized each other down.
"Can you all stop it," Sasuke asked as he walked over to them. "My kids like neither of you," he added, haughtily making his way outside. Itachi followed behind him like the loyal husband that he was.
With that said, they too headed outside. There a toast was given, thanking everyone for attending the small ceremony. While it would take some time for the grandparents to like each other, they at least had now met.
On the other side of the ceremony, Kisame and Suigetsu found themselves standing together. Kisame had wanted to take a step back, realizing that his life had just changed. Suigetsu had only wanted some fresh air and to get away from all the snobby Uchiha. They locked their eyes and froze now that they found themselves there, alone.
"Hey," Kisame was the first to speak.
"Hello," Suigetsu muttered, looking away shyly.
"Long time no see," Kisame added, trying to lighten things between them. When Suigetsu shrugged and gave him nothing more Kisame decided to get serious. "I'm sorry, I know back then I hurt you. I was hurt too and I... I just needed to leave." Kisame said. "I didn't mean to make you hate me if this is what this is,"
Suigetsu stayed quiet for a moment before he sighed, "I don't hate you. I thought that I did a few times, I feel like I should but...I don't." He reluctantly said.
"That's good, I wouldn't want to live with someone that hates me," Kisame grinned.
"Stupid," Suigetsu crossed his arms.
"Yeah, I am," Kisame conceded, "Friends?" He offered his hand to Suigetsu. The white-haired man looked at the offered hand and nodded, taking it. He gasped when Kisame pulled him close and arranged them for a dance.
He hadn't noticed that music had started playing, the guests had made their way to the dance floor. He blushed hard as he followed Kisame's lead and looked up, finding himself mesmerized by the man that once broke his heart. He was scared, but he was like a moth drawn to a flame. He was asking to get hurt again, he knew, but as he cried, Kisame held him.
It was the first step to fixing whatever was wrong with them.
Fuck, they might never fix what was already broken, but this was a first step to something.
Three days later, with the main reason for the visit coming to an end, everyone was already planning their departure. Naruto and Kyuubi were the first to leave. Their children needed to get back to school and they missed home.
Minato and Kushina were now also preparing for their departure.
Sasuke hesitated, before he approached them. They had asked for him and he wondered if something was wrong.
"All set?" he asked them.
"Sasuke, there is one thing that we want to talk to you about." Kushina said as she rummaged through one of her bags.
Sasuke looked at her oddly, "What's wrong?" Sasuke asked.
"It's about…" she bit her lower lip as she tried to find the right words to say it. "It's about the Uchiha's…about you and Itachi. The two of you…" She swallowed hard. "We had not noticed it before but are you by chance related to Itachi?" She couldn't help but ask.
She knew Sasuke took a lot from his mother and although she was Minato's sister, she had dark hair and black eyes. It explained away why Sasuke was blessed with raven hair and black eyes, just like her.
Just because Sasuke's looks resembled Itachi's so closely, didn't mean anything. But the nagging feeling wouldn't leave her. The fact of what she knew of Itachi, wouldn't leave her alone. She needed to address this with him.
Sasuke gave his aunt a weary smile, "For the sake of my children I will be honest with both of you. Itachi is my older half-brother," Sasuke confessed. He was a lot more confident in himself now. A lot less scared of how they would react.
He had made his life here, whether they liked it or not, this was his truth.
Minato and Kushina's eyes widened in disbelief, "How!" they demanded.
Sasuke explained to them about the diary that his mother had left him. About everything that his mother had written down to the decision he took to still love Itachi.
"It's a curse, as an Uchiha. We always come back to this. I suspect my children will fall in line if they ever do. I will need you to understand." Sasuke looked at them pleadingly. His sons' future weighs heavily on this decision. He couldn't keep hiding it.
Minato and Kushina asked for a moment to sit and think. They delayed their travels as they let all the information sink in.
"They are both happy together." Kushina settled after a while with a deep sigh leaving her body feeling weighless.
Minato watched his wife fondly before he broke down in laughter. Kushina gave him an annoyed look and asked him what was so funny. Minato placed a hand over his mouth as he snorted, "Even in death, my sister has managed to make life all that more interesting." He sighed, the look in his eyes was a resolute one. Her husband had made up his mind. "I'll continue to support them. No matter what, I will support them all."
Kushina giggled, "I think it's much more that Sasuke took after your sister's reckless way of life. It's going to be okay for sure." She thought fondly back to Mikoto.
