CHAPTER 4
Hey guys. I am back. I know it's been a while. I am really sorry. I am out of town on some work related stuff, so I didn't get the time to sit down and write a chapter. I finally had some free time to sit with my laptop, so I'm using that time to make sure I get at least one chapter to you guys.
I read through the reviews and am really happy with all your appreciation. I hope you guys continue to support me the same way you've been doing all this long.
I will be out of town for a minimum of 2 more weeks but I will try to post something when I get some time every now and then.
So, let's get on with it.
"Italics" – Italian dialogue

Unknown location, Rome
It was night time in one of the most beautiful cities in the European continent. But what was happening right now was anything but that.
In an abandoned warehouse, there was a man tied to a chair, with his mouth taped shut. He was covered in blood, his own obviously, based on the wounds on his face. His blonde hair was covered in blood. His lip was busted, blood leaking from his mouth, his face was covered in cuts and bruises and he had a black eye in his left eye with his right eye swollen shut. He was crying in pain as he was punched in the face by a hulk of a man. The torturer was around 6'3" tall and looked like he had done nothing but exercise his entire life. His biceps were bulging and his shoulders were broad. The man had a terrifying scowl on his face, as he once again punched him, this time in his gut. The punch was so hard that the man threw up blood and whatever was left over in his stomach. Just as he was about to hit him again, he was interrupted by a soft voice with an accent.
"Let's pause this for a minute, shall we? I want to see if our guest has had his fill"
The owner of the voice turned out to be a man who looked to be in his late thirties, with brown hair and black eyes. He was walking slowly towards the chair with a laptop in his hand. He put the laptop on the table in front of the chair, with the screen facing the man sitting on it. He sat on the chair opposite him, and quietly watched him for a few minutes. The man was breathing heavily, with a few hitches here and there and a few heavy coughs.
The tortured man looked up at him and rasped out, "You will not get away with this, Marco"
Marco just smiled at him, "The sooner you do what needs to be done, the sooner this can all end, Anthony"
Anthony glared at him weakly, but he knew he couldn't do anything. He knew what Marco was capable of, so he gave up and opened the laptop, typed in the password and did what he was supposed to. After a few minutes of slow typing, he hit enter and leaned back in his seat. He sighed miserably and glared at Marco, "It's done you son of a bitch. Now let me go"
Marco just gave him a dead stare and looked at his phone. After he was satisfied with the result, he looked up at him and smiled a creepy smile. He gestured for the muscled man to let him go. After he was released from his binds, he slowly trudged away towards the exit. Just as he was about to cross the threshold, a gunshot rang, and he just dropped to the floor, dead. There was a pool of blood forming around his head, as he was staring blankly with his lifeless eyes.
Marco sighed, "I don't understand how people think I would let them go. Are they just that stupid, or is it blind hope?"
He just stood up and looked at the muscle, who just nodded and went over to clear the body and its traces, and walked away whistling a happy tune. All in a day's work.
CIA Villa, Rome
Chuck was quietly going through the villa and looking at the amenities and rooms available. It was quite big and had enough bedrooms. It even had a pool in the back. But no matter how much he tried he couldn't bring himself to be happy about anything. Sarah was all he could think about. After everything that had happened between them he could not accept the fact that her trust in him was not as strong as his in her. She had used just two words to ruthlessly stomp on his already fragile heart.
As he was walking back to the main room, he heard Casey call him. He looked towards him to see him walking towards him.
"What's up Casey?" he asked him.
Casey grunted out, "Meeting with Beckman in ten, let's go"
Chuck just nodded robotically and followed. They walked towards another room, which looked to be some kind of office. They had a laptop set up on one of the desks, with June already there setting things up. She looked up at him and smiled, which he returned. She was quickly becoming one of his good friends. They sat in front of the laptop waiting for the call to start. Exactly at the specified time, the laptop pinged with a video call, which Casey accepted, bringing the General's face on it.
"Good morning team. I hope you guys like the new place, because you're going to be working here for a very long time. Now, I have some intel I need you to look at, Chuck. Casey please show Agent Wells how we work and the things she needs to know about the Intersect. I will let you know when you have a mission. Thank you".
And she promptly disconnected.
Chuck just deadpanned at Casey, "I really don't think she knows how to say goodbye"
Casey just grunted, while June chuckled.
Sarah's Apartment, Washington D.C
Sarah wasn't sure when, but she had completely lost her mind. She was in her apartment in DC, that she rarely used, the very place that she least considered home. But now, she hoped she didn't have to go anywhere else. Because wherever she went, she was only reminded of Chuck. Her last trip to the coffee shop, had resulted in her bawling her eyes out when she came home, all because she saw a kid with the same curly mop and brown eyes that Chuck has. She was never like this before. Agent Walker was hard as nails and rarely ever cried. But Sarah, the woman had apparently taken over. She was really out of sorts and had no idea what to do about it.
Daniel Shaw was of no help too. The guy maybe a good agent, but he was no use to her otherwise. Her attempt at finding a guy other than Chuck was a huge failure. Shaw had been married once, but looks like the loss of his wife had taken a large chunk of his personality away. It was like dating a robot. No emotions, no feelings.
She hoped she could put aside all her bad thoughts when the time came because for all her current problems, she was still an excellent field agent, and that was the only thing she had going on for her right now. She absolutely could not afford to lose that.
Marco's Residence, Rome
Sounds of moaning could be heard coming from the bedroom. Marco was having sex with a beautiful brunette in his bed, and they were getting louder as they reached the climax. After finishing, he just got up and started getting dressed. The woman leaned up on the headrest, covering herself up with the blanket, and pouted.
"Why are you in such a hurry, my love?" she asked him.
"I have some urgent business with one of my clients, Katrina. Why don't you go out for some shopping? I will be back by sunset." He replied, lovingly kissing her.
She kissed him back, and breathed out, "Very well. Be safe, honey"
He just smiled and left. He may be a killer, but he loved his wife very much. He would do anything for her.
He reached the office in his residence, and made a phone call.
"Have you gotten it done, Marco?"
"Yes, the amount has been transferred to my account. Anthony Dewalt is dead. What's the next step?"
"Good. I will call you with the next course of action in a couple of days. Make sure you keep the money safely. You do know what will become of us if you lose the money right? These are ruthless people, who care for nothing."
"Yes, I know"
"Good. Be careful."
And the call was disconnected.
Marco sighed. He did not want to get involved in this, but finishing this job would make him very rich. Or, well, richer than he already was. He would just have to take care of the money. He would need to hire a cyber-security company to tighten his firewalls.
He took out his phone and called someone.
"Get me the best cyber-security company in the country. I need them by tomorrow. Make sure you get this done as secretly as possible."
As he disconnected, he could only hope that he comes out of this with his life intact.
TBC
Well, I hope you guys liked this.
I decided that instead of using foreign words, I would just use English words with Italian mentioned. I hope it suits you guys.
And I would like to add another foreign agent to work with them sometimes. Please let me know, if you would like Cole Barker, Ilsa Trinchina or an OC Interpol agent to join them.
Please continue to review and support me.
See you soon.
