Chapter 19: Duel Off Part 1
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Sorry about the wait I got caught up in my other stories. I hope all of you are doing okay with the whole Coronavirus going around and try to stay safe. At the docks, Dorothy was overseeing the card shipments being brought in.
"Come on people! Booster packs go there, starter decks go there." Dorothy instructs when she thought she heard something from the water. Turning around she looked down only to see nothing. "Come on! This isn't break time!" Dorothy turns back to them.
By the lighthouse, a man in a scuba suit climbed onto the rocks.
"Here it is, the scoop of a lifetime. Duel Academy." He smiles taking off his goggles to reveal a man with long brown hair, this was Gerard.
In the main office, Sheppard, Zane, Crowler, and all the other head staff were gathered to discuss the School Duel.
"Are you out of your mind? The School Duel between North Academy is the biggest event of the year. We can take no chances. So it's clear that Zane should be one of our representatives." Crowler said.
"Zane is our best student, but he's a 3rd year and North Academy is using two 1st years." Sheppard said.
"Why would they do that?" Crowler asks.
"I don't know but in the spirit of competition we should do the same. You understand, right Zane?" Sheppard asks.
"Of course, Chancellor." Zane nods.
"Now, who should our first years be?" Sheppard asks.
"Jaden Yuki and Takeru Nensho." Zane said causing Crowler to cringe.
"I agree, Jaden and Takeru are our best students." Banner said as Pharaoh meows.
"Well if in the cat agrees." Crowler scoffs.
"Chancellor, those two will make us proud." Zane assured.
"Well then, that's that unless someone has a better idea." Sheppard said.
'That Jaden, every time he does well it makes me look bad. There has to be someone else.' Crowler growled before getting an idea. "I know Bastion Misawa."
"The Ra Yellow?" Sheppard asks.
"Yes after all he had the best test scores of all the first years." Crowler said.
"Hmm what if we had a fourth student and made a Duel Off? The winning two get to represent us?" Sheppard suggests.
"Sounds good but who can be our fourth?" Zane asks.
"I would have recommended Chazz but he left." Sheppard said.
"What about his friend Torimaki? And I have the perfect way to decide who faces who." Crowler suggests.
Sneaking into the locker rooms, Gerard reached into the lockers and pulled out a Slifer Red Uniform. "I gotta blend in." He smirks.
In Prof. Banner's Class, Jaden, Takeru, Bastion and Torimaki were called up to the front.
"For real? Me?" Jaden asks surprised as Banner told them the news.
"That's right Jaden, the 4 of you will duel and the two winners will go to represent us in the School Duel." Banner said.
"So how are we gonna decide the matches?" Takeru asks.
"The same way Pegasus chose the matches in the Duelist Kingdom finals." Banner said taking out a small box. "Each of you reach in and pull out a piece of paper."
As each of them reached in they pulled out a paper with a letter on it.
"Now the matches are very simple. A vs B and C vs D." Banner said as each one of them opened.
Takeru got A, Bastion got C, Jaden got D and Torimaki got B.
"Well then our matches will be Takeru vs Torimaki and Jaden vs Bastion. I look forward to seeing some interesting matches." Banner said as class ended.
"Well Bastion may the best man win." Jaden said.
"I think you mean best deck and I assure you I've been working on a deck to defeat you and your monsters ever since my duel with Chazz." Bastion said.
"Well let's see if it's enough." Jaden said as they fist bumped.
"I've been looking forward to a rematch with you magic boy." Torimaki glares.
"Really? Because I thought you would have shut up after I beat you last time." Takeru glares back.
"You sound confident that you're gonna win." Torimaki said.
"What are you getting at?" Takeru asks.
"What do you say for our duel we use the Ante Rule? The winner gets the losers best card." Torimaki declares.
"Let me guess, if you win you want this?" Takeru reached into his deck box and pulled out his Dark Magician.
"Wow you actually figured it out." Torimaki smirks.
"You do realize if I win, I get a rare card from your deck." Takeru said.
"You can try but I've put together some of the best cards money can buy." Torimaki said.
"Spend all the money you want it won't make a difference." Takeru said walking away.
In the hallway, Gerard was walking up to a few Obelisks.
"Hey what's shaking?" Gerard asks.
"Out of the way you Slifer Slime." The Obelisk said walking past him.
"But wait I just—"
As Jaden, Syrus and Chumley walk down the hall they saw Gerard trying to talk to a Ra.
"Yo. How are things?" He asks.
"Beat it Slifer Sludge." The Ra said pushing past him.
"Man why won't anyone here talk to me?" Gerard asks.
"I don't remember seeing that guy around. He must be new." Syrus said as Jaden walked up to him.
"Hey what's up?" Jaden asks startling Gerard as he turned to face him. "Wow, you're old. How can you be a Slifer?"
"Uh well…"
"Hey no need to be ashamed. It just took you awhile to get accepted old timer. Here, I'll show you around." Jaden said leading Gerard down the hall.
"Hey Jaden wait up." Syrus said as he and Chumley followed them.
At the Slifer Red Dorm, Gerard was looking down at what appeared to be the Slifer dinner and Jaden was wolfing it down.
'How can anyone enjoy food like this so much?' Gerard thought.
"Hey eat up or you won't get seconds." Jaden said.
"Uh seconds?" Gerard said.
"Yeah and sometimes thirds or even fourths. They were gonna put in a garbage disposal but Jaden took care of that problem." Syrus chuckles.
"Well why not." Gerard said before digging in.
In their room, Jaden was looking at all the cards he was gonna use in his duel with Bastion.
"Your deck's looking good Jaden. Still I wonder what kind of deck Bastion is gonna have?" Syrus asks.
"Don't know but I bet he put tons of time and thought into it." Bastion said.
"You nervous?" Syrus asks.
"No way, in fact I'm excited." Jaden said standing up.
"Excited?" Syrus asks surprised.
"Yeah for a challenge. I only wish I could duel Takeru as well." Jaden said.
"You never worry." Syrus smiles.
'And I'll never get my scoop by hanging out with these guys.' Gerard thought when he noticed Skyscraper laying on the floor before he picked it up. 'Skyscraper, the card that ruined dueling for me.'
"Hey you cool old-timer?" Jaden asks.
"Stop it! My name is Gerard!" He snaps before realizing what he just said. 'Oh no I just gave away my real name.'
"Cool, Gerard it is." Jaden said before noticing the card in his hand. "Hey Skyscraper. You like that card too?"
"No way, you'd have to like dueling first." Gerard scoffs.
"If you don't like dueling what are you doing here?" Syrus asks.
"Oh uh I just mean I don't like it because I'm not good at it." Gerard said making an excuse.
"Same here, I mean it's not that I don't like dueling I've just not been very good, but that's changing." Chumley said.
"That's right." Jaden nods.
"You see once I started hanging out with these guys, I saw how they dueled and it totally changed my life." Chumley said.
"That's it, Gerard if you come watch Jaden duel it could totally change how you feel about dueling. We have a big one tomorrow." Syrus suggests.
"Sure we'll see." Gerard said. 'As if, I'm done with dueling…wait maybe since these guys like to talk they can help me with my story.' Gerard realized. "Hey guys I don't suppose you know anything about a rumor where students have gone missing?"
"You mean the Abandoned Dorm?" Jaden asks getting his attention.
"Abandoned dorm?" He asks.
"Yeah you see we kinda wandered inside it once, very strange place." Jaden said causing Gerard to grin.
At the Abandoned dorm, Alexis and Takeru walked up to it as Alexis put a rose by it.
"Thanks for coming with me. It means a lot." Alexis said.
"Happy to help." Takeru said putting a hand on her shoulder. "I just wish I could do more."
"You've been doing plenty." Alexis said when they heard something behind them.
Turning around they saw Gerard walking towards them.
"Why hello there." Gerard said.
"Do I know you?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah we've passed by each other a few times. Look I've heard some students have gone missing here. Don't suppose you two know anything about it?" Gerard asks.
"What's it to you, ponytail?" Alexis asks.
"I'm just curious is all." Gerard said.
"Well maybe you should stay curious!" Alexis snaps surprising both her and Takeru. "Those missing students aren't for your amusement so just mind your own business!"
Turning around Alexis walked away.
"Alexis wait up." Takeru said following her.
"Okay I don't know what her problem is but I am not giving up. I am gonna get this story." Gerard said taking a picture of the abandoned dorm.
On the edge of the forest, Takeru finally caught up to Alexis who was sitting against a tree.
"Alexis, hey are you okay?" Takeru asks.
"Just leave me alone." Alexis said.
"Was it about what that guy said? I know your brother is a sensitive thing for you to talk about." Takeru said sitting down next to her.
"I'm sorry I guess I went a little overboard back there." Alexis said.
"No you didn't. I don't blame you. Hearing about the past is a hard thing. I mean look at my dad. Former Rare Hunter is not something to be proud of." Takeru said.
"Yeah but at least he's still around." Alexis said.
"Hey, don't talk like that." Takeru said lifting her head up so she was looking him in the eyes. "Your brother is still out there somewhere and we will find him one way or another and I'm not gonna stop helping you until we do."
Alexis looks into his determined and confident eyes as all her sadness went away and she got a warm feeling inside. Takeru had been there for her since day one and she loved it.
Looking up Alexis kisses him on the lips without even thinking and it just felt so right.
Seeing that she needed this Takeru gave her a kiss back but after a minute Alexis realized what she was doing and separated.
"Alexis?" Takeru asks.
"I-I'm sorry but there's something I need to do. Thank you Takeru I needed that." Alexis said before walking away.
"What just happened?" Takeru asks.
At the Obelisk Girl's dorm, Alexis was walking through the halls with a conflicted look on her face.
Walking up to Mindy's room she knocks on the door.
"Coming." Mindy said as she opens the door. "Alexis? What's going on?"
"Mindy, I need to talk to you about something and it's really important." Alexis said.
"Sure, come on in." Mindy said as she walks inside. "What's wrong?"
"Mindy you and Jasmine are my best friends and I would never do anything to hurt either of you, but…I made out Takeru." Alexis admits surprising her.
"Wow, Alexis." Mindy said.
"I'm sorry I would never steal my friend's boyfriend." Alexis said sitting down.
"Did you enjoy it?" Mindy asks getting her attention. "When you made out with Takeru?"
"Yes. Yes it was the best kiss of my life and I didn't want to stop. Takeru has been so amazing always being there for me, he's kind, funny, brave and…I love him Mindy. I'm sorry but I'm in love with Takeru." Alexis said expecting Mindy to hate her for this but instead a smile appears on her face.
"I knew it." Mindy declared surprising her. "Those things about Takeru can drive a girl crazy. That's how I fell in love with him."
"Wait, you're not mad?" Alexis asks as Mindy sat down next to her.
"No, in fact, I've been dropping hints to Takeru that you like him too. Why do you think he was so willing to make out with you?" Mindy hints. "You see Alexis, my Takeru is quite the catch and I'm not selfish. I've seen the way you look at him. You need a man like him in your life Alexis and I'm telling you it's fine as long as you don't mind sharing him."
"You and Takeru are fine with this?" Alexis asks.
"Have a talk with him yourself and you'll see. Come on Alexis, don't you want to be with him?" Mindy teases moving in for a whisper. "Have him hold you in his arms as he makes you feel like the most amazing girl in the world as he holds you close and makes out with you. Don't you want that Alexis?" Mindy whispers seductively getting Alexis couldn't help but agree.
"Yes…I want that." Alexis said.
"Then I'm fine with it Alexis. Go tell Takeru how you really feel." Mindy said pulling back.
"Mindy, I got to admit I was not expecting this when I was coming over." Alexis said.
"Well lucky for you, you and I have been friends so long I don't mind sharing." Mindy said as Alexis stood up. "So are you gonna talk to him?"
"Yeah but after his big duel tomorrow." Alexis said walking out.
"That's one, maybe I should try Jasmine next." Mindy smirks getting some ideas.
At the Ra Yellow Dorm, Bastion was at his computer working on data for his duel with Jaden tomorrow.
"Countless equations, a myriad of theorems, but I still haven't figured out the equation to beat Jaden's deck." Bastion said as he saw images of Flame Wingman and Thunder Giant. "Hmm I could assemble a deck to stop each of those monsters, but that would lead too much to chance. There's must be a way to stop those Fuison Monsters…that's it!" Bastion gasps as he started typing. "It's so obvious. Jaden Yuki, the code of your cards has just been cracked."
At Obelisk Blue, Torimaki was walking out of the dorm as he took out his PDA sending a message. A few minutes later, a man in a suit walks out with a small briefcase.
"Did you get all of them?" Torimaki asks.
"Right here." The man said opening the case to reveal almost an entire deck of new cards.
"Get ready magic boy, because your next trick will be a disappearing act. Right after I take your Dark Magician." Torimaki grins.
The next day at the main Dueling arena, all the stands were packed as Crowler made his way to the center.
"It's time students! To see which two lucky duelists will represent us in the School Duel!" Crowler declared causing everyone to cheer. "Our first match is two students from Obelisk Blue! On this side, Torimaki Taiyou! And on this side, Takeru Nensho!"
"Whoo! Go get'em Takeru!" Mindy cheers.
"You better win!" Jaden said as Takeru gives them a thumbs up.
"Let's see if he's got what it takes to get the first spot." Zane said standing next to Alexis.
"Takeru's been working hard since you two dueled believe me. He can win." Alexis said.
"Be ready to hand over my new Dark Magician when this is over." Torimaki said inserting his deck.
"Yeah, sure just don't start crying when I pick a card from your deck." Takeru said inserting his deck and they both activated their duel disks.
Down the hall, Gerard was heading towards the library.
"Now while they're all focused on the duels, I'll be able to get some dirt on those missing kids." He grins as he started hacking into the school server.
"Alright, let's begin!" Crowler said as both activated their duel disks.
"DUEL!" Both students.
Takeru: 4000
Torimaki: 4000
"Winner's first." Torimaki drew. "I Summon Luster Dragon in attack mode!" Torimaki said as a blue dragon appeared on his field and roared at him.
Luster Dragon: 1900/ 1600
"And I'll end my turn with one card facedown.
"My move." Takeru drew. "I summon a monster in defense mode and play one card facedown."
"You call that a move? I sacrifice Luster Dragon in order to summon Krystal Dragon!" Torimaki said as a dragon made of crystal appeared.
Krystal Dragon: 2500/ 1800
"Now take out his monster!" Flying in Krystal Dragon destroys Takeru's facedown monster revealing it to be Magicians Valkyria who was destroyed. "Aw looks like your Valkyria couldn't take it." Torimaki mocks. "And thanks to his effect I add one level 8 Dragon from my deck to my hand."
"That's a really good card. How did he get his hands on it?" Alexis asks.
"Probably paid top dollar for a brand new deck." Zane said.
"How Takeru is supposed to fight back against cards like that?" Chumley asks.
"He can do it, he always does." Jaden said.
"What's a matter Takeru? I thought you said you would shut me up?" Torimaki mocks.
"And I plan on keeping that promise." Takeru drew. "I summon Maha Vailo in attack mode!"
Maha Vailo: 1550/ 1400
"And I boost him with Wonder Wand, but thanks to his special ability Maha Vailo gets an extra 500 points in addition to the 500 Wonder Wand gives him." Takeru said as Maha Vailo caught the staff.
Maha Vailo: 2550/ 1400
"Now attack with Sacred Lightning!" Takeru said as Maha Vailo destroys Krystal Dragon with a powerful electric attack.
Takeru: 4000
Torimaki: 3950
"You call that a move? This is a move." Torimaki drew. "I summon the Tuner Monster Dread Dragon!" Appearing on his field was a little brown dragon.
Dread Dragon: 1100/ 400
"He's got a tuner monster too?" Syrus gasps.
"And now I activate my facedown card, Call of the Haunted to summon Luster Dragon!" Torimaki said as his blue dragon appeared back on the field.
"This isn't good. He's gonna Synchro summon." Madison gulps.
"I tune my level 2 Dread Dragon with Luster Dragon in order to Synchro Summon Brionac, the Dragon of the Ice Barrier!" Both dragons glow to create a dragon made entirely of ice.
Brionac: 2300/ 1400
"And thanks to his special ability by discarding any number of cards I want I can send all the same number of cards back to your hand." Torimaki said discarding two cards and returned Maha Vailo and Takeru's facedown back to his hand.
"Oh no, Takeru's wide open!" Bastion gasps.
"Brionac put this loser on ice with Ice Shard Fury!" Torimaki said firing ice at Takeru causing him to wince in pain.
Takeru: 1700
Torimaki: 3950
"I didn't expect a Synchro summon." Takeru said.
"I pulled out all the stops to beat you." Torimaki smirks as Takeru drew.
"I summon Chocolate Magician Girl!" Appearing on his field was a blue hair magician girl.
Chocolate Magician Girl: 1600/ 1000
"And next I use her ability to send one spellcaster to the grave and draw a new card." Takeru drew and grinned. "Next I activate Magical Dimension! By tributing my Chocolate Magician Girl I can destroy your monster and summon a new spellcaster."
Chocolate Magician Girl enters the coffin and when it closed a blast fired out destroying Torimaki's Synchro Monster.
"Do you have any idea how much that card cost?" Torimaki glares.
"Not my problem. Now let me introduce you to my new monster, Dark Magician Girl!" Takeru said as the female magician appeared.
Dark Magician Girl: 2000/ 1700
"What an entrance." Syrus said in awe.
"And now Torimaki's the one who's wide open." Chumley grins.
"Hit him hard Takeru!" Jaden cheers.
"With pleasure, Dark Burning Attack!" Takery said as Dark Magician Girl blasts Torimaki knocking him back.
Takeru: 1700
Torimaki: 1950
"And to end my turn I'll place two cards facedown." Takeru said as two facedowns appeared.
"Impressive move." Zane said.
"You know Takeru, he always has a comeback up his sleeve." Alexis smiles.
"How'd you like my magic trick?" Takeru asks.
"Lame, like you." Torimaki said as he drew. "I play Pot of Greed and it lets me draw two cards. Now here's some real magic. I summon Keeper of Dragon Magic!" Appearing out of a flash of light a warrior in blue armor appeared.
Keeper of Dragon Magic: 1800/ 1300
"I've never seen that card before." Jaden said.
"This dragon is a better magician than any of your pathetic spellcasters. When this card is summoned, I get Polymerization and add it to my hand." Torimaki said adding the fusion card to his hand. "And now I'll play Axe of Despair which boosts my Keeper of Dragon Magic by 1000 points.
Keeper of Dragon Magic: 2800/ 1300
"Now take out that Dark Magician Girl with Dragon Spear!" Torimaki said as his Keeper attacks.
"I activate Magician's Defense! As long as I have a Spellcaster on my field any damage I take is halved!" Takeru said as a barrier appeared around him as his Keeper destroys Dark Magician Girl.
Takeru: 1300
Torimaki: 1950
"How'd you like my magic trick? I cut your Dark Magician Girl in half. That Dark Magician is as good as mine." Torimaki smirks.
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Takeru drew. "I play my own Pot of Greed which lets me draw two cards from my deck. Now I play Ancient Rules which allows me to summon my Dark Magician!"
Appearing out of a magic circle, Takeru's blue magician appeared by his side.
Dark Magician: 2500/ 2100
"There's Takeru's favorite card." Jaden smiles.
"Hate to break it to you, but my magic wielder is still stronger." Torimaki said.
"Not for long because I play Magic Formula!" Takeru said as a spellbook appeared in front of Dark Magician increasing his power.
Dark Magician: 3200/ 2100
"That's not good." Crowler gulps.
"Dark Magic Attack!" Takeru said as Dark Magician fired a blast of magic from his staff and destroyed Keeper of Dragon Magic.
Takeru: 1300
Torimaki: 1550
"And with one card facedown I'll end my turn." Takeru said.
Growling Torimaki drew his next card and grinned. "I play Card of Demise which lets me both draw until I have 5 cards. Next I play Pot of Avarice which lets me take 5 monsters from my grave and put them back in my deck and draw two cards." Taking Luster Dragon, Dread Dragon, Krystal Dragon, Brioniac and Keeper of Dragon Magic from his grave, Torimaki shuffled his deck and drew two cards. "And now play Polymerization to fuse these 5 dragons together!"
"What?!" Takeru gasps.
"There's only one monster that requires that many monsters!" Bastion gasps.
"You're finished I summon 5 Headed Dragon!" Torimaki yells as the large dragon with 5 different heads appeared and roared.
Five-Headed Dragon: 5000/ 5000
"So this is the card you paid all that money for?" Takeru asks.
"Worth every penny seeing that look on your face. With one blast he's gonna blow away you and your Dark Magician out of this!" Torimaki declares pointing at him. "I've been wanting to do this since day one Takeru. Time to shut you up for good! Attack his Dark Magician!" Torimaki said as all 5 heads fired destroying Dark Magician.
"I activate my Defense Draw which drops the damage to zero and I draw a card." Takeru said.
"You think that'll save you? I have one card left. Go Dragon's Gunfire!" From one of the heads a fireball shot out and nailed Takeru in the chest.
Takeru: 500
Torimaki: 1950
"Takeru." Mindy gasps in horror.
"Looks like it's curtains for you magic boy. The only monster that can destroy my monster is Light. On my next turn I'm gonna destroy you once and for all." Torimaki declares as Takeru stood up.
"No way I'm not done yet." Takeru said.
"Please, look at your hand and look at your field you barely have anything left." Torimaki said.
"Torimaki…don't you know a Magician always saves his best trick for last?" Takeru smirks.
"Huh?" Torimaki asks as Takeru drew.
"I activate my facedown Magical Finale! By paying all but 50 of my life points I can activate this trap card! It allows me to summon as many Spellcasters from my graveyard as possible!" Takeru said as his facedown lifted up to reveal an image of Magician of Black Chaos standing in between Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl with all three of them raising their staffs in the air.

"It's magic time!" Takeru declared as Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Magician's Valkryia, Chocolate Magician Girl and Maha Vahilo appeared on his field.
Dark Magician: 2500/ 2100
Dark Magician Girl: 2000/ 1700
Magician's Valkyria: 1600/ 1800
Chocolate Magician Girl: 1600/ 1000
Maha Vailo: 1550/ 1400
"You spent almost all your lifepoints for those weaklings? Not one of them can even touch my dragon." Torimaki said.
"Not by themselves they can. I activate Double Spell and by sending one spell to the grave and I can use one card played by you!" Takeru said as a card shot out of Torimaki's Duel Disk and Takeru caught it. "Polymerization! I fuse all 5 of my Magicians and create the all-mighty Quintet Magician!"
All 5 magicians turn into balls of light and shoot up into the air as a large magic circle appeared in the sky above the arena causing everyone to look in awe as a blue and black-robed magician with green outlines appeared on Takeru's field.
Quintet Magician: 4500/ 4500
"Incredible." Bastion said in awe.
"He's cool." Syrus said.
"And he's got power to boot." Madison said.
"Too bad he's not strong enough and even if was that card is the wrong type." Torimaki said.
"He's right. Quintet Magician is a Dark Type, not Light." Alexis said.
"Even so that card is more than enough to win him the duel." Zane smirks.
"Not quite, you see if this card is summoned with 5 cards with different names, he can destroy every card you have!" Takeru declares shocking everyone. "Your dragon can't be destroyed in battle by a Dark-type but it doesn't say anything about special abilities!"
Quintet Magician raises his hand as a green magic circle appeared and a powerful green blast shot out piercing Five-Headed Dragon in the chest destroying it.
"And you wanna the best part? He still has his attack! Go Magic Nova Blast!" Takeru said as Quintet Magician swung his staff and fires a giant ball of green energy and blasts Torimaki right off the arena and onto the floor.
Takeru: 50
Torimaki: 0000
"And the winner of the first School Duel spot is Takeru Nensho!" Sheppard announced as the whole school burst into cheers.
"Yeah he did it!" Mindy cheers.
"Way to go!" Syrus smiles.
As Torimaki picks himself up he saw Takeru looking down at him.
"Guess I know which card you want." Torimaki said holding out Five-Headed Dragon.
"I don't want that one." Takeru said pushing it back.
"But this is my best card?" Torimaki said confused.
"And of no use to me whatsoever, however I will take this one." Takeru said taking Keeper of Dragon Magic. "This card I can use." Takeru grins before turning around.
"That Dark Magician means a lot to you, huh?" Torimaki asks.
"This card and I have quite a story." Takeru smiles walking out.
As Alexis watches him leave she sees Mindy gesture for her to go for it. Taking the hint, she walked out.
"Alright folks we will take a short break before we have our second duel so duelists prepare yourself." Banner said as Jaden and Bastion were eager for this.
"You ready Jay?" Syrus asks.
"Oh yeah." Jaden nods when Madison gets up and faced him.
"Watch yourself Jaden. You don't know what Bastion will throw at you." Madison said.
"Don't worry, I got this." Jaden said not noticing Madison slip a card into his Duel Disk before he reached down and grabbed it. "Well, wish me luck."
"Good luck." Madison said.
As Takeru was walking back to the duel field, he was looking at his Dark Magician card.
"No way I would ever lose you." Takeru smiles when Alexis came out from down the hall. "Hey Alexis."
"That was quite the duel." Alexis said.
"Thanks, he really made it tough." Takeru said.
"Listen Takeru, about last night." Alexis said.
"I'm sorry, you just looked so sad and angry for how that guy was acting I wanted to help you feel better." Takeru said.
"No it's not that. I just didn't know how to respond to it at first, but I do now. Takeru I love you." Alexis said kissing him on the lips surprising him.
Takeru's eyes widen in surprise at this before kissed back.
Little did they know Dark Magician was smirking at this knowing this was gonna happen.
