Chapter 21: Little Belowski

At the Obelisk Blue Dorm, Takeru was sitting down at his desk looking at all his cards for what he should use for the School Duel.
"Hmm maybe this one or this one." Takeru said looking at them.
"Don't be so stressed out." Turning around Takeru saw Mindy laying on his bed. "I'm sure you'll do great."
"You're my girlfriend, you're supposed to say that." Takeru smirks.
"I mean it. You're amazing and besides you should be getting ready for your date with Alexis today." Mindy teases as he walks over to her. "So where you two going?"
"The beach." Takeru admits.
"Ooh romantic." Mindy giggles.
"Are you sure you're fine with this? Me dating another girl?" Takeru asks when suddenly Mindy kisses him on the lips and almost instantly all the nervous feelings and tension went away as Takeru holds Mindy close before separating for air.
"I'm fine if you look at other girls, but remember I'm your favorite." Mindy winks.
"You always will be." Takeru said about to go in again when Mindy stops him.
"Easy Takeru, save some love for Alexis." Mindy teases.
"But don't you want a little love?" Takeru teases back.
"You know I do, but the problem is if I do you might miss your date with Alexis." Mindy said.
"Don't think we'd get off this bed?" Takeru asks.
"I know we wouldn't. Now go get ready and make Alexis feel as special as you make me feel." Mindy said.
"Okay but first." Takeru gives Mindy one more kiss but this one was more passionate. "I love you."
"Boy I wish I was Alexis right now, she's in for a real treat." Mindy giggles.
Meanwhile, in the forest near the main building, Crowler was making his way down the path.
"I can't believe Jaden is going to be one of Duel Academy's representative at the School Duel! What an embarrassment! I won't let it happen!" Crowler made his way towards the school chicken coop but when the chickens saw him they were not happy.
"Ow! Hey get off me you stupid birds!" Crowler said swatting them away before going to a secret entrance. "Ugh someone needs to fry those stupid creatures."
Climbing down a ladder, Crowler puts on a high-tech suit before opening a hatch.
"With what's hiding in this containment vault. He's not gonna stand a chance." Crowler said walking towards a vault. After swiping a card a bright light emerges as the door opens. "You there Belowski? It's your old friend Dr. Crowler. There's someone I want you to meet. I know it's been a while but I think he deserves a lesson from the Academy's best." Crowler laughs.
At the beach, Takeru looked to see it was nice and peaceful.
"Hmm this looks like a good spot." Takeru said putting down a towel a good distance away.
"Trying to avoid someone?" A familiar voice asks.
Turning around he saw Alexis walking over with a white shirt over her top and a red bikini bottom and sandals.
"Yeah turns out when you're one of the School Duel representatives lots of people lay the peer pressure on you." Takeru said.
"Fair enough." Alexis said as she put her towel down next to his.
Looking over she saw Takeru take off his Obelisk blue blazer to reveal his bare chest and blue swim trunks.
'Mmm someone's been working out.' Alexis blushes seeing his body.
As Takeru looked over he saw Alexis take off her shirt to reveal a red bikini under it that really hugged her curves in all the right places.
Both of them really liked what they saw before sitting down.
"So what do you want to do first?" Takeru asks.
"Actually right now I wouldn't mind the two of us laying here. I have a few things I wouldn't mind talking about." Alexis said.
"Ask away. As long as you don't mind if I ask you some things." Takeru said.

In an empty classroom, Jaden was sitting down looking at his cards.
"Eeny meeny miney mo. Catch a monster by the toe. If it stinks then let it go." Jaden sighs trying to choose which cards to use.
"You know my Water Dragon would be a fine addition to your deck for the School Duel." Bastion suggests.
"Please, that card is a total washout. You need something helpful like Junk Synchron." Madison suggests.
"Des Koala." Chumley suggests.
"You can use my Power Bond if you need." Syrus offers.
"What I need is some time to think!" Jaden snaps.
"There's no need to be rude Jaden. We're only trying to help. After all you and Takeru have been selected to compete in the School Duel. This is huge." Bastion said.
"So why aren't any of you bothering Takeru?" Jaden asks.
"Alexis beat us to him." Chumley said.
"We just want to help you win. If you lose it's gonna be really bad for everyone else." Madison said.
"Oh come on! As if there's not enough pressure!" Jaden whines. "I know the school is counting on me, but all I can duel is my best."
"I understand. Dueling isn't about awards or trophies. It's about being at your absolute best." Bastion said.
"Thank you, Bastion." Jaden smiles.
"And the best needs the power of my Water Dragon!" Bastion smiles.
"Or Power Bond!" Syrus smiles.
"Or Junk Synchron!" Madison smiles.
"Des Koala all the way!" Chumley said.
"Alright that's it! Enough! If I'm ever gonna arrange my deck I need to be alone!" Jaden said grabbing his cards and duel disk before running off.
"Good call! Let's ditch these guys!" Bastion said following after him with Madison, Syrus and Chumley running after him.
"Oh why are we always running?!" Chumley said.
"Jaden!" Syrus calls out.
"I want to help you be alone!" Bastion said.
"You can't be alone all by yourself!" Madison calls out.
"Funny, no one's this helpful when I'm doing laundry." Jaden said running to find a place to hide.
Meanwhile back on the beach, Takeru and Alexis were by the water sharing stories.
"Yeah I mean it was hard growing up with a dad who was a Rare Hunter. He did everything he could to cover his tracks to make sure I wasn't affected by it." Takeru said.
"Sounds like there's more to Arkayna than meets the eye." Alexis said.
"What about your family?" Takeru asks. "I wouldn't mind hearing about your brother…that is if you don't mind."
"Not for you, since you've been trying to help me." Alexis said moving closer to him. "My brother, he was the one I could count on and he always there for me and made me smile."
"Sounds like quite the brother." Takeru said.
"Yeah he is, and then I found you. When you saved me from the Abandoned dorm and helped me every step of the way to try and find my brother I realized how amazing you were and I wanted you in my life." Alexis admits.
"Well I'm in your life now." Takeru said putting his hand on top of hers.
Alexis smiles as Takeru leans in and kisses her on the lips.

"Okay it's official. You are the best." Alexis grins separating.
"I try." Takeru said before getting up and leading Alexis to the water.
As both of them got in, Alexis looked to Takeru and knew right then she wanted him around in her life.
At the top of the Academy building, Jaden ran out onto the roof to avoid his friends.
"Sup." A voice said.
"Huh?" Looking over he saw a boy with blue hair and an Obelisk Blue jacket hanging from his neck and worn out and ragged clothes. This was Belowski. "Sorry I was kinda hoping for some alone time. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to duel you Jaden." He smiles.
"Who are you?" Jaden asks.
"Just a dude with a deck. Call me Belowski. You ever notice that clouds look like Duel Monsters if you look really close?" Belowski asks when Winged Kuriboh's spirit came out.
"Whoa, hey there pal. What is it?" Jaden asks.
"Nice Kuriboh. I hear they like to be scratched behind the wings." Belowski said.
"Wait, you can see him?" Jaden asks surprised.
"And hear them too, but my Kuribohese is a little rusty." Belowski said.
"You've gotta be kidding me." Jaden said.
"Anyhow let's duel." Belowski said grabbing his disk.
"He must think I'm an easy win because I'm a red." Jaden said.
"Nah I don't care about that. Red, Blue, Yellow who cares? They're just colors." Belowski said.
"Cool, then let's throw down." Jaden said.
"Far out." Belowski said.
"Jaden there you are!" Turning around Syrus, Bastion, Madison and Chumley ran up behind him.
"Hey you guys are just in time." Jaden said.
"Just in time for what? And who's that Obelisk over there?" Syrus asks.
"My opponent." Jaden said getting their attention.
"Poor Jaden. Once Belowski uses his special skills he won't be able to compete in the school duel. Or any duel. Good thing I pulled my protective suit out or I'll end up in the same spot they're about to be in." Crowler laughs.
Jaden: 4000
Belowski: 4000
"Get your game on!" Jaden declares.
"Yeah man whatever." Belowski drew. "I play Mokey Mokey in defense mode." Appearing on his field was a small pillow shaped creature with wings.
Mokey Mokey: 300/100
"Goodness, that's not a monster it's a marshmallow." Bastion smiles.
"He's so cute. I just wanna squeeze it." Madison smiles.
"It looks like a nice fluffy pillow." Syrus smiles.
"Yeah now that you mention it." Chumley said yawning.
'It's working.' Crowler thought with a smile.
"I guess I'll toss down two facedowns and chill for now." Belowski said ending his turn.
"My turn then." Jaden drew. "I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode!" Jaden said as his electric hero appeared on his field.
Elemental Hero Heat: 1600/ 1400
"And now I play Polymerization to fuse Elemental Heroes Avian and Burstintrix in my hand to create Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!" Jaden said as his two heroes fused to create his favorite fusion.
Flame Wingman: 2100/ 1200
"So still wanna duel me?" Jaden asks.
"Totally man, those monsters of yours are righteous." Belowski smiles.
"Well I wasn't going for that reaction." Jaden said when Kuriboh cooes. "Yeah good point buddy, this will set him straight. Go Sparkman!"
"Sorry man your attack will not stick. I got a trap. Go Human Wave Tactics. At the end of each turn I can summon that's the same level as the one that's been destroyed, but they have to be level 2 or below. Total balance man, the yin and the yang." Belowski said.
"Whatever, but all I know is Sparkman's attack still goes through!" Jaden said as Heat destroyed Mokey Mokey. "And now my Wingman can attack you directly!"
Flying in Flame Wingman kicks Belowski knocking him to the ground.
Jaden: 4000
Belowski: 1900
"Now I'll call it a turn." Jaden said.
"That was very unchill dude, but thanks to my trap I can summon Happy Lover." Belowski said as a small angel monster appeared.
Happy Lover: 800/ 500
"And now I'll summon Happy Lover's good friend Mokey Mokey." Belowski said summoning another Mokey Mokey.
Mokey Mokey: 300/ 100
Once this one showed up everyone behind Jaden sighed.
"He has such a calming presence." Bastion said.
"Mokey Mokey makes everything so chill." Madison sighs.
"I feel warm and fuzzy." Syrus sighs.
"And that's just the beginning. I play Mokey Mokey Smackdown. Now I'll attack your Heat with Happy Lover." Belowski said surprising him.
"But Sparkman has way more voltage than Happy Lover." Jaden said.
"I know, it's fine. Go Gushy Burst." Happy Lover fires a gust but Sparkman holds out his hand and released a powerful electric attack destroying Happy Lover.
Jaden: 4000
Belowski: 1100
Seeing this Mokey Mokey started to get angry before he turned bright red in anger.
"Oh wow, look at the little guy go." Madison cheers.
"I could just watch him for days." Bastion sighs.
"He's the best." Madison cheers while Chumley yawns.
"Yeah he is. When you destroy a fairy type monster my Mokey Mokey Smackdown activates and his points become 3000." Belowski said.
"No way!" Jaden gasps.
"Brilliant move." Bastion said.
"That Mokey Mokey is something else." Madison sighs.
Mokey Mokey: 3000
"What the heck? Who are you guys rooting for?" Jaden asks turning around.
"You have to ask? Mokey Mokey." Bastion said causing Jaden to groan.
"Now I'll have my Mokey Mokey attack your Flame Wingman!" Belowski said as Mokey Mokey released sound waves destroying it.
Jaden: 3100
Belowski: 1100
"Mokey Mokey." Bastion, Madison and Syrus cheer.
"What is going on with you guys?" Jaden asks.
"They're feeling the moke." Belowski said.
"The moke?" Jaden asks confused.
"The moke's all about harmony man and there's more where that came from. I play Mystic Wok. By sacrificing a monster I gain lifepoints equal to its attack points. So that's 3 grand for me." Belowski smiles as Mokey Mokey disappeared.
Jaden: 3100
Belowski: 4100
"And since Happy Lover's gone Human Wave Tactics restores the balance. And I choose Haniwa." Belowski said as a small brown monster appeared.
Haniwa: 500/ 500
"What next?" Jaden whines.
"Hey Jaden, you gotta relax." Bastion said.
"You gotta stop acting so angry all the time." Madison said.
"Yeah that's rich coming from my childhood bully." Jaden mumbles when he noticed Chumley was fast asleep. "What is going on?"
Up above, Crowler was laughing.
"They're all falling under his spell and soon so will Jaden." Crowler smiles.
"What did you do to my friends?" Jaden asks turning to Belowski.
"Freed their minds man." Belowksi smiles.
"Mokey Mokey." Bastion, Madison and Syrus cheer.
"Jaden. I see you've met one of my favorite students Belwoski!" Crowler said coming out of hiding to Belowski's side. "I just love him, when I'm safe from his powers."
"His powers?" Jaden said confused.
"You see Belowski is a very special duelist. He was left on the Academy's doorstep as a baby and quickly became a master duelist. As a mere child he rose through the ranks of the academy. It was then strange things began to occur." Crowler explains.
"Like how he talks?" Jaden assumes.
"No. I mean how Mokey Mokey comes alive when he duels with him." Crowler said.
"Comes alive?" Jaden said confused.
"Powers and all, powers that lull everyone around him into a lazy daze like your friends and soon you." Crowler said.
"No wonder." Jaden gasps.
"It's cool man, I'm not hurting them or anything. Mokey Mokey just makes them feel nice and cozey." Belowski said.
"Indeed, it once made all the students feel that way which is why we had to move Belowski and build him a new home. A titanium encased holographic chamber deep underground." Crowler said.
"You mean a jail." Jaden narrows his eyes.
"Jail is such an ugly word, we prefer Mandatory restraint habitat. It was actually quite nice inside, an island paradise." Crowler said.
"Sure and like an island, he was stranded there." Jaden said.
"Nah man, it was all good. I got to chill and everytime Dr. C wants me to duel someone I get let out to duel." Belowski said.
"Then what do you say we get back to our duel?" Jaden suggests.
"That's chill." Belowski agrees as Jaden drew.
"I summon Elemental Hero Heat!" Jaden said as a flame patterned warrior appeared. "And thanks to his effect he gains 200 attack points for every hero on the field including himself.
Elemental Hero Heat: 2000/ 1000
"Now attack!" Jaden said as Heat leaped in and destroyed Haniwa. "Alright Sparkman go!"
Yelping Crowler jumps out of the way as Sparkman's attack zapped Belowski.
Jaden: 3100
Belowski: 2500
"And I'll end my turn with a facedown." Jaden said.
"Man dude you're a real party pooper. Good thing I have Human Wave Tactics to bring out Happy Lover." Belowski said as another Happy Lover appeared.
Happy Lover: 800/ 500
"Belowski shouldn't he be nodding off by now. Mokey Mokey is supposed to drain Jaden! Look at his friends!" Crowler said as everyone else was fast asleep. "Why isn't Jaden like that?!"
"Search me dude." Belowski said confused.
"That's your answer?" Crowler asks.
"It's cool. Watch this. I play Pot of Greed which lets me draw two cards. Far out, I play Dark Factory of Mass Production. I know it doesn't sound right but it lets me bring back two Mokey Mokeys and now I play Polymerization to fuse the two Mokeys and the one in my hand in order to summon my little friend." Belowski said as a Mokey Mokey the size of the Academy building appeared.
"Little friend?" Jaden gasps.
"You said it man, this is Mokey Mokey King. Now check out his wave!" Belowski said.
Mokey Mokey King: 300/ 100
Mokey Mokey King released power soundwaves.
"Sparkman use your Static Shockwave on that thing!" Jaden said as Sparkman leaped up and zapped Mokey Mokey King turning it into three Mokey Mokeys.
Jaden: 3100
Belowski: 1200
"That was awesome man but the circle of life must go one and from one comes many and the King lets me summon all three Mokeys to the field.
"Oh great." Jaden groans.
As all three Mokey Mokeys release a sound wave the pressure was so strong Crowler's helmet shattered and he fell to the ground.
"Now Happy Lover attack Sparkman! Gushy Burst!"
Happy Lover moves in but like before Sparkman destroys it with ease causing all three Mokeys to go up to 3000.
Jaden: 3100
Belowski: 400
"Thanks to my Smackdown card, my Mokeys are tough enough. Mokey Mokey one go for Sparkman, Mokey Mokey two you're on Heat." Belowski said as both Mokeys attacked and Sparkman was destroyed.
Jaden: 1700
Belowski: 400
"That's enough. Go Hero Barrier! This protects my Heat from one of your attacks!" Jaden said.
"Nice moves man but I have one more Mokey and without Sparkman your Heat is a lot weaker." Belowski said.
Heat: 1800/ 1000
"Now attack!" Releasing soundwaves Mokey Mokey destroys Heat.
Jaden: 500
Belowski: 400
"And thanks to my Human Wave Tactics I can summon one more Happy Lover from my deck and now I play my trap Gift of the Mystic Elf which gives me 300 points for every monster on my field." Belowski said as his four monsters glowed increasing his life points.
Jaden: 500
Belowski: 1600
Cringing Jaden looked to his hand to see he only had one card. 'Even if I summon a monster to take down Happy Lover or a Mokey Mokey his other Mokeys will be supercharged. I need to take them all out.'
"You okay man? You wanna take a break?" Belowski asks.
"I'm good." Jaden drew. "I summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman in attack mode!" Jaden said as his blue hero appeared.
Bubbleman: 800/ 1200
"Wow dude I'm impressed. How can you keep dueling after all we put you through?" Belowski asks.
"Because I don't give up and since Bubbleman is the only card on my field I can draw two more." Jaden drew. "Now I play Fusion Recovery, by bringing back Heat and Polymerization to my hand. Now it's time for a new fusion courtesy of my friend Gerard! I fuse Elemental Bubbleman and Elemental Hero Heat in order to create the Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!" Jaden said as a blizzard blew in around the field causing Belowski and his monsters to shiver.
Suddenly leaping out of the cold was a hero in white clothes.
Elemental Hero Absolute Zero: 2500/ 2000
"Whoa man he's so cool, literally." Belowski said amazed.
"You think that's cool wait until you see this, go De-Fusion!" Jaden said surprising Belowski.
"What? Why would you get rid of such an awesome monster?" Belowski asks.
"Because of this. Whenever Absolute Zero leaves the field he takes all your monsters with him!" Jaden declares as Absolute Zero turns into Heat and Bubble and when the two heroes appear pillars of ice shoot out destroying all of Belowski's monsters. "Now your Mokey Mokeys are long gone along with your Happy Lover."
Elemental Hero Heat: 2000/ 1000
Elemental Hero Bubbleman: 800/ 1200
"Alright Heat, go get him!" Jaden said as Heat leaps in and punched Belowski in the face with a flaming fist knocking him to the ground.
Jaden: 500
Belowski: 0000
"That's game. And what a game. I actually thought you had me a few times." Jaden said.
"Yeah but I don't get it. Why didn't you trance out?" Belowski asks.
"Why would I? When I sleep I dream of dueling." Jaden explains.
"Oh I get it, the more Mokey Mokey tried to zonk you out the more revved up you got." Belowski realized.
"Good to know, for next time. Right now, I need a nice long nap." Belowski yawns before laying down to sleep.
"Huh?! Is anyone awake?" Jaden looks to see Crowler, Bastion, Madison, Belowski, Syrus and Chumley were fast asleep. "Aw man." Jaden walks over to Madison and shook her. "Hey come on, wake up."
However, in her sleep Madison grabs Jaden and yanks him down.
"Huh?" Jaden looks to Madison who was talking in her sleep.
"You're not…going anywhere…I'm gonna get you." Madison mumbles.
Jaden looks at her sleeping face and a faint blush appeared on his face from how cute she looked.
"Well I guess I could use a little rest." Jaden said looking up at the sky. "Hey the clouds do look like Duel Monsters."
At the Obelisk Blue dorm, Alexis and Takeru's date on the beach ended going well, very well.
