Chapter 22: School Duel Part 1

Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. If any of you have read the GX manga you'll know the character I'm using to face Takeru and it will surprise you. We find ourselves at the North Academy the night before the School Duel. There was a fierce thunderstorm but no seemed to care.

Gathered in front of a huge crowd was Chazz Princeton. After he left Duel Academy, the North Academy Chancellor Foster found him and brought him to his school where Chazz rose in the ranks and became one of the top two students, but instead of his Obelisk Blue jacket, Chazz wore a large black duster over his dark shirt and pants.

"Students of North Academy I present to you our school's best Duelists to face off against our rivals!" Foster declares as Chazz stepped out and Foster turned to him. "And now I present to him North Academy's top dueling cards. With them you will triumph you will…Chazz it up!"

"Chazz it up! Chazz it up! Chazz it up!" The students declares before Foster looks behind Chazz to see their second duelist walked out.

"And don't think I've forgotten you." Foster smirks looking to a shadowy figure. "For you, I have these for you to bring destruction upon your opponent. He won't stand a chance." Foster said handing them some cards causing a grin to appear.

"Duel Academy is toast!" Chazz declares as the entire school roars in agreement.

Meanwhile at Duel Academy, everyone was eager for the School Duel matches.

In the main duel arena, Jaden and Takeru were having a standoff with their duel disks ready.

"Alright time for a roll call. Go Elemental Hero Avian, Burstinatrix! And while we're at it Clayman and Sparkman come out too!" Jaden said as his four heroes appeared. "Oh man I have the sweetest monsters ever."

"Please Jaden they're second if best." Takeru said as Jaden looks to see him with his Dark Magician, Magician of Dark Illusions and Dark Magician Girl.

"Either way we're gonna beat whatever North Academy is gonna throw at us." Jaden smiles.

"Hey guys!" Looking over they saw Syrus running in. "Guys what are you doing? Everyone is—" Before he could finish he saw Dark Magician Girl and pauses. "Wow."

"Syrus!" Takeru said clapping his hands snapping him out. "Stop checking out my monsters!"

"Sorry." Syrus said shaking his head. "You guys are gonna be late. The Meet and Greet is about to happen. North Academy just showed up!"

"That means our opponents are here." Takeru realized.

"Then what are we waiting for? Come on!" Jaden said deactivating his duel disk and running off.

"Jaden wait up!" Takeru said following him and Syrus right behind him.

At the docks, a submarine pulls up and Foster walks up to Chancellor Sheppard.

"Foster, it's been far too long. How have you been?" Sheppard asks.

"I've been well…ever since I got over the defeat you handed us last year." Foster said as they shook hands.

"Those were close matches." Sheppard said.

"Not really, but this year I have a feeling it will be." Foster said.

"Yes I'm sure. To a spirited match between our two schools." Sheppard said when Jaden and Takeru walk in.

"Yeah, yeah spirted. But enough with the introductions. I wanna know who we'll be dueling." Jaden interrupts.

"Jaden give them a little bit." Takeru said.

"He's right we were just getting to that." Sheppard said.

"So you two must be Jaden and Takeru? It's a pleasure to meet Duel Academy's Phenom." Foster said.

"Wow thanks, so when do we meet our opponents?" Jaden asks excited.

"Right now slacker." A familiar voice said.

"No way." Takeru said as they saw Chazz on the submarine with the other North Academy students.

"Whoa, am I seeing things or is that Chazz?" Jaden gasps.

"You got that right." Chazz said.

"But why are you here?" Jaden asks.

"For the duel." Chazz said.

"I think it's sold out." Jaden said.

"I'm in it!" Chazz said.

"Wait, you're my opponent? When did you transfer?" Jaden asks.

"Since I stopped getting the respect I deserved here." Chazz said.

"Last time I checked you had to earn respect." Takeru said.

"Well, well magic boy is with you too huh? Sucks to be you man, you're gonna lose." Chazz smirks.

"Is that right? Who's my opponent then?" Takeru asks.

"Me." A female voice said.

Walking out was a girl with blonde hair in a bob cut, a leather jacket and ripped jeans. This was Reggie Mackenzie.

"Name's Reggie Mackenzie." She said standing next to Chazz.

"I didn't know you allowed girls at your school." Sheppard said looking at Foster.

"Reggie was a special exception." Foster said.

"It's nice to meet you all. I look forward to our duel." Reggie smiles.

"Oh wow we actually have a nice one." Jaden said when suddenly multiple helicopters flew in surprising them.

"Oh great now what?" Takeru asks when one opens revealing Chazz's brothers Slade and Jagger.

"Hey little bro." Slade said.

"Mind if we drop in?" Jagger asks.

"Slade? Jagger? Why are you here?" Chazz asks surprised.

"Why else? To celebrate your big dueling victory." Jagger said as they landed down.

"You are going to win, right Chazz?" Slade asks when suddenly a film crew came in.

"Okay we're all set." A cameraman said.

"Uh what's going on?" Reggie asks.

"What's going on? I think you mean when are you going on? And the answer is primetime baby. This School Duel is gonna be broadcasted worldwide!" The director said.

"For real me on TV?" Jaden smiles as he and Takeru's faces appeared on TV.

'Hmm wonder if dad felt like this before his first big performance?' Takeru thought.

In the locker rooms, Chazz was sitting across from his brothers.

"You set this up, didn't you? This broadcast." Chazz asks.

"Of course we did, we even rigged the list to make your big duel the finale. We need the whole world to see that you're on your way to becoming Duel Monster's best. It's all part of the plan." Slade said.

"Yeah, yeah." Chazz said not caring.

"Look Chazz world domination is ours for the taking if we all do our part Chazz." Jagger said.

"And we have. Now it's your turn. To conquer the world of Duel Monsters." Slade said.

"Did you really think you could get away from your duties? Away from us by dropping out of Duel Academy?!" Jagger asks.

"I-I.." Chazz said.

"Don't deny it! You've always been the slacker of this family!" Jagger snaps.

"It doesn't matter. The point is you can fix this, show that we're supreme." Slade said.

"That's right and these dueling cards are gonna make sure of just that." Jagger said holding up a briefcase. "They're the most expensive so you have no excuse. Don't less us down Chazz. It's all on you."

"Now go and win!" Slade said.

In the hallway, Takeru was preparing himself because of Chazz's brothers he was up against Reggie first and Jaden went second.

"Okay if I win this, then we have the upper hand and Jaden can wipe the floor with Chazz." Takeru said when Mindy and Alexis walk by.

"Hey there." Mindy said.

"If I didn't know any better I would think you're nervous." Alexis smirks.

"What are you two doing here?" Takeru asks.

"Just wanted to wish you luck before your match." Mindy said.

Smiling Takeru really appreciated it. Granted having 2 girlfriends was a little strange at first but once he saw the girls were open to it he quickly got over his worries and realized how great this was.

"Just be sure to save me a seat after my duel." Takeru said.

"Consider it done." Alexis said kissing Takeru on the lips before walking away.

"Well look at you. When did this Takeru show up?" Mindy giggles.

"Around the time I started dating you." Takeru said giving her a kiss.

Smiling Mindy wraps her arms around Takeru and kisses back.

"Win or lose I'm still your number one fan." Mindy winks before walking away.

And just like that all of Takeru's pre showtime jitters went away.

"Man I love those two." Takeru sighs.

Down the hall, Jaden was doing his own preparation.

"Oh man if I knew I was gonna be on TV I would have went all out." Jaden said when he heard something from the bathroom.

"Man up Chazz!" Looking inside Jaden saw Chazz trying to pull himself together. "Man up! Show them that Chazz Princeton is no slacker, that you're worthy of the Princeton name. That you can win and you can keep winning!" Chazz said breaking down. "Over and over again. That you're the best."

Narrowing his eyes, for the first time ever Jaden realized how hard it was to be Chazz and why he was like that back when he was an Obelisk.

In the duel arena students from both schools were cheering loudly excited for the matches.

"That's it everyone, remember you're live so let's make these duels look amazing." The director said.

"Same bet as usual, right Sheppard? You do remember?" Foster asks.

"Of course, after all old friend it's what makes this all worthwhile." Sheppard said.

Down below, Takeru looks to Jaden who was next to him.

"Alright I'll win mine you win yours." Takeru said.

"Yeah." Jaden nods not really paying attention.

"Hey you okay? Thought you would be more eager to take on Chazz again." Takeru said.

"No I am it's just…I feel kind bad one of us has to lose." Jaden said looking across to see Chazz standing behind Reggie. "I'm starting to understand where he's coming from and it's not exactly a good place."

"Attention students! Welcome to the School Duel!" Sheppard announces.

"And now let the first match begin!" Foster said as Takeru and Reggie stepped forward.

"Dr. Crowler you're on." Sheppard said.

"With pleasure, on this side representing Duel Academy is the Takeru Nensho!" Crowler said as all of Duel Academy cheered for him.

"Go Takeru!" Chumley said.

"Win this!" Syrus said.

"You can do it!" Alexis cheered.

"And his opponent from North Academy, the lovely Reggie Mackenzie!" Crowler said as North Academy cheered for her.

"I hope you're ready because I don't plan on holding back." Reggie said.

"I'd be insulted if you didn't." Takeru said inserting his deck.

The second she inserted her deck a small evil smirk appeared on Reggie's face and almost all of North Academy chuckled.

"Uh oh the Angel is out." One muttered.

"That poor sucker." Another said.

"Let's duel!" They both said.

Takeru: 4000

Reggie: 4000

"I'll go first." Reggie drew. "And I play Shining Angel in attack mode!" Reggie said as an angel with blonde hair and white wings appeared.

Shining Angel: 1400/ 800

"And I'll place one card facedown." Reggie said ending her turn.

"Hmm an Angel deck that's not good." Bastion said.

"What do you mean?" Mindy asks.

"Angels are creatures of light and Takeru's magicians are mostly creatures of darkness which is weak to light." Bastion warns.

"In other words Reggie might already have an advantage." Zane said.

"Hey it's just the first turn Takeru can still fight back." Madison said.

"My turn." Takeru drew. "I summon Breaker the Magical Warrior in attack mode!" Takeru said as his magician appeared by his side.

Breaker: 1900/ 1000

"Now attack her Angel!" Takeru said as Breaker charged in and slashes her angel destroying in.

Takeru: 4000

Reggie: 3500

"Thank you for that. Now I can activate my Angel's effect allowing me to summon another fairy monster from my deck. Like my Freya, Spirt of Victory!" Reggie said as on her field a cheerleader appeared.

Freya: 100/ 100

"And thanks to her ability all fairy monsters including her gain 400 attack and defense points." Reggie said as Freya started cheering raising her attack points.

Freya: 500/ 500

"I end my turn with one card facedown." Takeru said.

"Oh no you don't! Go Dust Tornado!" Reggie said revealing her facedown and destroying the card Takeru just set.

"What the?" Takeru gasps.

"Now you don't have anything to protect you from me." Reggie smirks causing Takeru to get uneasy.

"Foster what's going on?" Sheppard asks.

"I told you Reggie was a special exception. You don't get to be the one girl at my school without having a few surprises as you're about to see." Foster grins.

"I play Cost Down, by sending one card from my hand to the grave I can bring out a high-level monster without a sacrifice, like my Airknight Parshath!" Reggie said as a Centaur warrior appeared.

Airknight Parshath: 1900/ 1400

"And thanks to Freya cheering her on her points grow as well." Reggie said as her knight glowed.

Airknight Parshath: 2300/ 1900

"Uh oh." Takeru gulps.

"Attack his Breaker!" Reggie said as Airknight Parshath galloped in and slashed Breaker destroying him.

Takeru: 3600

Reggie: 3500

"And thanks to her ability I get to draw a card. Freya attack!" Reggie said as Freya did a series of cartwheels across the field and kicks Takeru in the face.

"Ooh that's gotta hurt." Bastion cringed.

Takeru: 3100

Reggie: 3500

"Whoa that girl is fierce." Jaden said.

"You see when Reggie is a nice girl but once that life point meter turns on she turns into a completely different person." Foster grins.

"What do you mean?" Sheppard asks.

"She uses her fairies to weaken her opponents to the point they're barely standing while at the same time making her monsters stronger. Despite her kind smile, there's a demon underneath that face and that's why at North Academy we call her, the Angel of Death." Foster said.

"The what?!" Sheppard gasps.

"That prize is as good as mine." Foster grins.

"Not if I have anything to say about it! Come on Takeru fight back!" Sheppard calls out.

"My turn." Takeru drew. "I play Blast Magician in Attack Mode!" Takeru said as his red robed magician appeared.

Blast Magician: 1400/ 1700

"He must be planning to go after Freya to weaken Airknight Parshath. Lishous idea." Chumley said.

"But Freya's ability prevents her from being attacked." Bastion explains.

"Now I play One Shot Wand which boosts my Magician by 800 points!" Takeru said as Blast Magician grabs the wand and his points increased.

Blast Magician: 2200/ 1700

"Cute but you're a few points short." Reggie said.

"No I'm not because when a spell is activated and Blast Magician is on the field he gets a spell counter and by removing one I can destroy a monster with attack less than 700 times the number of counters. Hey Freya beat it!" Takeru said as Blast Magician destroyed Freya making her boost go away.

Airknight Parshath: 1900/ 1400

"Why you." Reggie growls.

"Now attack!" Takeru said as Blast Magician spun his wand and fired a powerful red blast.

Takeru: 3100

Reggie: 3200

"And to end my turn I'll play one card facedown." Takeru smirks.

"Cute, trying to put up a fight." Reggie drew. "I play Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen!" Reggie said as a beautiful hall appeared behind her. "Now when I have no monsters on my field I can summon a Fairy-type monster from my hand and I'll use it to bring out my Hecatrice!" Reggie said as a golden statue angel appeared on her field.

Hecatrice: 1500/ 1100

"And now by removing 2 light monsters from my graveyard I can special summon the Soul of Purity and Light!" Reggie said as the spirt of an angel appeared on the field.

Soul of Purity and Light: 2000/ 1800

"And now whenever either of us conducts battle your monsters lose 300 attack points." Reggie said as her angel tossed a sphere of light into the air and it shined down on Takeru causing him to cover his eyes.

Blast Magician: 1900/ 1700

"Now destroy his monster!" Reggie said as Soul of Purity and Light fired a beam of light destroying Blast Magician.

Takeru: 3000

Reggie: 3200

"Since my monster had One Shot Wand equipped when he's attacked I get to draw a card." Takeru said drawing.

"I'm not done yet. Hecatrice attack!" Reggie said as Hecatrice flew in.

"I activate Half or Nothing!" Takeru said revealing his facedown card. "Now you have a choice do I take half the damage or no damage."

"Easy, I choose half." Reggie said as Hecatrice blasts Takeru causing him to cringe.

Takeru: 2250

Reggie: 3200

"Clever but you're only increasing your pain. I place one card facedown and end my turn." Reggie said.

"Come on Takeru you can do this." Alexis said.

"My turn." Takeru drew and when he did he smiled. "First I summon Skilled White Magician in defense mode." Takeru said as the white robed magician appeared in a kneeling position.

Skilled White Magician: 1700/ 1900

"And now I play the spell card Ancient Rules allowing me to summon Dark Magician!" Takeru said calling out his favorite monster and making a spell counter appear on Skilled White Magician.

Dark Magician: 2500/ 2100

"Nice even with Soul of Purity's effect Dark Magician can take it down easy." Syrus smiles.

"Takeru always pulls a cool trick out of nowhere." Mindy smiles.

"How did he get a card that rare?" Foster asks.

"Magician's never reveal their secrets." Sheppard said as the light shined down on Dark Magician lowering his points for the battle.

Dark Magician: 2200

"Dark Magic Attack!" Takeru said as Dark Magician destroys Soul of Purity and Light destroying it.

Takeru: 2250

Reggie: 3000

Growling Reggie cringed as she stood strong.

"Cute but don't you know? Light always beats darkness." Reggie drew. "I play Pot of Greed which lets me draw two cards. And now I play Call of the Haunted in order to bring back my Airknight Parshath." Reggie said as her centaur warrior appeared. "And now I'll sacrifice both my monsters in order to summon the goddess of wisdom, Athena!"

Appearing on Reggie's field was a beautiful in white robes with a shield and spear in her hands.

Athena: 2600/ 1800

"She's beautiful." Syrus said in awe.

"And deadly." Bastion said.

In the obelisk area, Seika was watching Takeru with a worried look.

"Athena attack Dark Magician with spear of light!" Reggie said as Athena charged in and impaled Dark Magician destroying him.

Takeru: 2150

Reggie: 3000

"Where did she get a card that rare?" Sheppard gasps before looking to Foster. "Did you give your duelists rare cards?"

"I want that prize Sheppard. I will do anything to get it." Foster said.

"And to end my turn I'll place one card facedown." Reggie said.

"My turn." Takeru drew. "I play my own Pot of Greed which lets me draw two cards." Takeru said as the second light on Skilled White Magician appeared. "Now I play Defender the Magical Knight in defense mode.

Appearing next to Skilled White Magician, the warrior with the giant shield appeared.

Defender: 1600/ 2000

"And I'll end my turn with one card facedown." Takeru said.

"Uh oh looks like Magic boy is scared." Torimaki said.

"What's a matter? No tricks up your sleeve?" Reggie smirks drawing. "I summon Consecrated Light in Defense mode!"

Appearing on her field was a small orb of light that shined down on the field.

Consecrated Light: 0/0

"Why would she summon a monster with 0 attack and defense points?" Madison asks.

"With this card neither of us can normal summon or special summon any dark monsters to our fields and you cannot use a Dark-type creature to destroy and even if you do destroy it I take no damage." Reggie declares.

"Wait I can't play any dark monsters?" Takeru gasps.

"But all of Takeru's best monsters are Dark types." Alexis gasps.

"That's quite a card." Zane said.

"Yes, if I ever face Takeru I could use a card like that." Bastion said.

"Can you please not think about how to beat him? We're here to root for him." Mindy said.

"He does this a lot." Alexis said.

"And I still haven't told you the best part. When another Fairy Monster is summoned to my field Athena is able to deal 600 points of damage to you."

Takeru: 1550

Reggie: 3000

"Oh man now she has almost twice as many lifepoints as him." Syrus said.

"And it gets worse, with Athena's ability all she has to do is summon 3 more fairy types and she wins." Bastion said.

"Now I play the spell card Smashing Ground! To destroy the monster with the highest defense points. Bye Bye Defender!" Reggie said as a powerful fist came down on Defender destroying his shield.

"Sorry but thanks to his ability all I need to do is remove one spell counter and he sticks around." Takeru said.

"Then my Athena will finish you off!" Reggie said as Athena charged in.

"Oh no you don't! Go Magic Arm Shield! With this handy shield you get a new target! Your Consecrated Light!" Takeru said as Consecrated Light was yanked in.

"What?!" Reggie gasps.

"I may not be able to destroy your monster but you can." Takeru said as Athena pierced the orb of light destroying it.

"Why you sneaky little." Reggie growls.

"You can't stop me that easy." Takeru narrows his eyes.

"I end my turn." Reggie said.

"I gotta bring that Athena down." Takeru drew. "I play Emblem of the Dragon Destroyer which lets me add my Buster Blader to my deck." Takeru said as the last light appeared on Skilled White Magician.

"Wait a minute." Reggie realized.

"That's right by sending my Skilled White Magician to the graveyard I can summon Buster Blader!" Takeru said as Skilled White Magician disappeared to reveal the powerful warrior.

Buster Blader: 2600/ 2300

"He's not a spellcaster." Reggie said.

"A true magician never sticks to just one trick, he tries all kinds. And now I boost him with Mage Power!" Takeru said as Buster Blader glowed brightly. "Mage Power increases my warrior's power by 500 for each card in my spell and trap card zone. Like this one." Takeru said playing one card facedown.

Buster Blader: 3600/ 3100

"Ah yeah no way Athena can stand up to that one." Chumley said.

"Get her Takeru!" Alexis said.

"I switch Defender to attack mode and now Buster Blader attack Athena!" Takeru said as Buster Blader raised his sword and leaped in.

Athena raised her shield to block but Buster Blader's sword shattered it easily destroying her.

Takeru: 1550

Reggie: 2000

"Now Defender attack her directly!" Takeru said as Defender charged in and slashes Reggie causing her to flinch in pain.

Takeru: 1550

Reggie: 400

"Ha! Looks like your angel is about to have her wings clipped." Sheppard smirks.

"Hardly. Reggie still has one card she hasn't played yet." Foster said as Reggie stood up.

"Not bad but if you think this duel is yours you're far from right." Reggie said.

"Your move." Takeru said.

Reggie took a deep breath before drawing and when she saw the card she grinned. "Since I have no monsters I can use my Valhalla to summon a new monster. Behold the monster that weakens all who stand beneath her! The Splendid Venus!" Reggie said as a bright light engulfed the arena and from it a beautiful orange amroed angel monster appeared.

Splendid Venus: 2800/ 2400

"What a monster." Jaden said.

"She's quite a beauty." Takeru said.

"That's right and she's so beautiful it hurts her enemies thanks to her ability all non-fairy type monsters lose 500 attack and defense points!" Reggie said as Venus shined her light down on Takeru's monsters weakening them.

Buster Blader: 3100/ 2800

Defender: 1100/ 1500

"And now I think I'll weaken your monsters even more with Mystical Space Typhoon!" Reggie said destroying Mage Power causing Buster Blader to drop to his knees.

Buster Blader: 2100/ 1800

"And now it's time I put you out of your misery. Venus destroy his Defender and the rest of his lifepoints!" Reggie declares pointing at him.

"If that attack hits he's toast!" Jaden gasps.

"Takeru!" Mindy said.

"Not yet I have one trick left! Go Magical Hats!" Takeru said as both his monsters disappeared into 4 hats.

"You won't stop me with a trick like that. Venus destroy the second hat from the left!" Reggie points.

Venus fires a beam of light but inside it wasn't Defender but Takeru's Buster Blader..

Cringing the impact destroyed Buster Blader and knocked Takeru to the ground.

Takeru: 850

Reggie: 400

"Looks like you survived this round but it doesn't matter what you play. With Venus there isn't a card in your deck that can stand up to her." Reggie said as the hats disappeared and the weakened Defender appeared.

Slowly Takeru stood up. "I gotta admit Reggie you're good. No wonder they call you the Angel of Death."

"And on my next turn I will live up to that title and destroy you." Reggie said.

Takeru looked at his hand and saw he didn't have anything that could help him beat that card.

'Everything depends on this next card. Come on.' Takeru thought as he drew his last card. "I play Card of Demise! With this card I can draw until I'm holding 5 cards but in 5 turns I have to discard my entire hand." Takeru said drawing 3 more cards. "And now I'll sacrifice my Defender in order to summon my Dark Magician Girl!"

Appearing on his field was the beautiful female Dark Magician.

Dark Magician Girl: 2000/ 1700

"Cute but don't think her beauty even comes close to my Venus." Reggie said as Venus released a bright light weakening her.

Dark Magician Girl: 1500/ 1200

"Maybe by herself she's not strong enough but this new card might help. First I play Double Summon which lets me summon one more monster. Go Keeper of Dragon Magic!" A magic circle appears and leaping out of it was the dragon spellcaster.

Keeper of Dragon Magic: 1800/ 1300

"Hey that's my card." Torimaki said surprised to see him using him.

"And thanks to his special ability I can add Polymerization to my hand." Takeru said surprising everyone.

"Wait what kind of card can be made using those?" Jaden asks.

"Go Polymerization! I fuse Dark Magician Girl with Keeper of Dragon Magic in order to create Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!" Takeru declares as Dark Magician Girl appeared wearing a suit of armor and riding on the back of a fierce dragon.

Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight: 2600/ 1700

"That's a new one." Zane said impressed.

"Great scott." Bastion said.

"And I thought she was beautiful already." Syrus said.

"I'll admit your Magician Knight is strong but she is nowhere near strong enough to win. Venus!" Reggie said as Splendid Venus shined her light weaking her monster.

"Oh I'm not done yet, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight has her special ability and it's a pretty powerful one. By sending one card from my hand to the graveyard I can destroy any faceup card on the field. Like your Venus!" Takeru said causing Reggie's eyes to widen.

"No it can't be." Reggie said.

"Destroy her monster!" Takeru said as the Dragon released a powerful blast destroying Splendid Venus. "And I'm not done yet. She still has her attack!"

Drawing her sword, Dark Magician Girl flew in and slashes Reggie across the chest.

Takeru: 850

Reggie: 0000

"And the winner of the first battle is Takeru Nensho of Duel Academy!" Crowler announced.

"Yeah he did it!" Syrus cheers.

"Whoo! Go Takeru!" Chumley said.

"Quite a combination." Zane said.

"I never expcted a card like that." Bastion admits.

"That's my Takeru." Alexis said softly.

"Ha! Round one goes to me!" Sheppard smirks.

"This duel isn't over yet! Once Chazz wins we'll be tied up and then he'll win the tie breaker against your other boy too!" Foster declares.

Snapping out of it Reggie looks at Takeru.

'He took on the Angel of Death and walked out the winner. No one's done that before.' Reggie smiles interested.

Walking off the field, Takeru and Jaden high five.

"Man that was awesome." Jaden said.

"I got everyone revved up now you gotta bring it home." Takeru said.

"You got it." Jaden smiles.

As Reggie stepped off the field Jaden saw Chazz glaring him down ready to duel.

'And something tells me it's gonna be quite the show stopper.' Jaden thought.
