Author's Note : To say that I am nervous is an understatement. *le sigh*

It was quite the windy night—windier than he would have liked to accompany him accomplishing yet another year of living his life in a quite satisfactory fashion.
Life after the war, after he'd achieved whatever could be achieved… had been quite the mundane task. Whatever had he achieved anyway? Commencing revenge of the Uchiha massacre? Then inevitably finding out the truth about his brother, about the rotten regime of Konoha? Then trampling over himself due to his own transgressions that resulting the unambitious but workaholic Alpha-Anbu by the title of Captain Uchiha?
Birthdays after the massacre had never been memorable to him. So turning twenty five in the middle of a mission is the same as turning seventeen when he killed his brother, the same as turning sixteen when he was enlisted as an Anbu, the same as turning thirteen when he first joined Anbu training.
Sasuke sighed.
Being twenty five… should have been the same as his previous years.
He made a halt on a branch of that one tree on the left side of his partner. With his position being at her 8 o'clock, he was in an angle in which he could assess her side profile without really turning his head towards her. The night blew another wind coming from his left, reaching out to her, making her hair flutter. He had difficulty in distinguishing her hair from the sky, as they had the same tint of blue, the same shade of darkness.
"Shishi," he let out just above a whisper.
The Beta visibly stiffened yet her hair was still fluttering. It was quite the windy night indeed.
Sasuke concentrated his chakra to the eyes, three black tomoes spun from the center before settling in a circle inside crimson pool on each of his eyes. With a thorough inspection, he concluded her chakra matched the pattern he'd memorized from the data book and it was concentrated on her eyes indicating that the Beta Hyuuga was activating her kekkei genkai as well. She had passed the first requirement as his partner with bloodline limit of the eyes.
First point to the Hyuuga, well done.
"Taka-taichou," she replied once she'd done with the pattern matching.
Sasuke nodded as he deactivated his Sharingan. "We move now."
He might have already started to move, but his mind was greatly troubled by the slight spike of her chakra flow on her lower abdomen that was caught by his eyes just before the tomoes spun to disappear behind pools of obsidian.
The two moved within range of combat—had the situation called for it—but maintained their personal space for each. Yet Sasuke couldn't seem to move in a stable pace; there was this looming fear somehow that if he was even closer to his Beta partner at his back he wouldn't be able to go forward.
Something was off. He had a feeling what was, but he really couldn't point it out.
Somewhen along the way, Sasuke couldn't sense her chakra as strong as it had been before. He sighed in annoyance yet slowing his pace as realization that he had been moving too fast and apparently the Beta couldn't really catch up finally sunk in.
Then it hit him.
A smooth sweet scent that covertly binds and drives an Alpha—and only Alpha—out of his mind; the scent of pheromones.
This wasn't his first time smelling pheromones, obviously, but he had never encountered pheromones this strong—this binding. It was almost too overwhelming to the point he was only a breath away from losing his rationality.
What do the pheromones do? It binds an Alpha to only think about having a taste of the one who releases the pheromones; an Omega.
An Omega…
In a span of control he'd managed to acquire in between the powerful urge to lose himself, he made a quick turn all the while activating his Sharingan out of impulse, or out of the little remnant of fighting sense that he still had, or the uncontrollable surge of chakra into his eyes, he didn't know.
Then he saw it himself. The Beta whose face is covered with the fiercest expression of a lion he had ever seen.
She is not a Beta.
She is definitely—
There was this sudden hurl of strong intuition, almost felt like a strong belief that could pass as a reasonable reality.
my fated partner?
It was ingrained inside his mind, deep within his heart—like a treasure under ocean floor that is finally discovered and brought to the surface after so long.
She is my fated partner.
When the Beta Hyuuga—ah, she really isn't a Beta, isn't she?—started to lose her balance, he bolted towards her, catching her falling form just in time.
This supposedly Beta Hyuuga is my fated partner.
He lifted her on his arms, all his senses were in full gears perceiving the surrounding area to identify the way to solve their predicament.
This girl in my arms is my fated partner.
This strong belief almost felt physical that he couldn't stop repeating until it felt familiar. The more he said it inside his head, the more convincing it became—as if natural, something normal.
How insane is that?
"Shishi?!" he hissed in a futile attempt to find a dependable companion, because surely he wasn't fully functioning. But the girl in his arms hadn't heard a word, too occupied with her own impediment. If anything, he should be the one functional out the two of them. He shut his eyes in concentration—in his best attempt to think, despite feeling disgruntled and overwhelmed with everything; the unprecedented hit of strong belief, this nearly debilitating thirst to claim the supposedly Beta in heat in his arms.
Eyes now wide open due to another upsurge of adrenaline, with a sudden ease his legs brought them to a hidden stream—the one its rippling sound he barely heard that in any other condition surely would be easy to detect.
Sasuke settled the Beta in heat on the ground, it was damp as hours ago heavy rain had poured down throughout the forest. He unclasped his pack, easily extracted his thermal blanket, then spreaded the aluminium plastic, supposedly as an added layer to protect her from another unnecessary source of discomfort.
He really didn't know why he'd managed to think that far at this point anymore.
After she was settled atop the blanket, he busied himself with her pack, blindly searching for her remedy. Finding nothing, his heart skipped a beat. But it wasn't because he found nothing, it was because a foreign feral voice howled inside his head.
She is mine.
"Shishi!" he hissed, helplessly trying to find other thing to concentrate, hands still fumbling about aimlessly. "Hyuuga—"
Taste her.
It felt like a beast's instinct had awakened, grasping and pulling him down relentlessly, making him want to give in to temptations, to taste it with wild abandon.
"—what the fuck?"
It was horrifying enough to make his usually composed form shiver.
Calm down, he replied to the beast's voice with his own. I'm not a beast. I won't lose my senses.
"Where is your suppressant?" he demanded, slightly higher in tone, but in all honesty it was the result of his best effort in trying to control himself.
His mission partner was incomprehensible. She was panting hard, perspiration covered her entire neck and soaked her Anbu gear.
Sasuke resisted the urge to run a hand through his hair. "Hyuuga answer me, damn it. Where is your damn emergency injection?"
She breathed a four syllables phrase and he barely heard it. "What?"
"Shuriken pouch," she managed in between pants.
Sasuke, trying hard not to focus on her damn scent and that enticing sounds she produced, decided not to comment on her weird taste of placement.
"You've taken the pill ones?" As his hand worked its way to the shuriken pouch on her right thigh, he turned his head to see her answer, because something verbal was hard on both.
She nodded her head vigorously. A little bit too much.
It had no effect? Is this because I induced the heat? Because I am her fated partner?
He found the disposable syringe, and hastily tried to find the alcohol swab somewhere inside the hidden slit.
"Do you know where?" she suddenly asked. Her voice was so quiet, he barely heard it.
Isn't that a little bit too late to ask that?
"I know," he replied, trying so hard to restrain his irritation towards the whole situation from making an appearance. It definitely was not her fault. It wasn't his as well. It was simply because she was born an Omega, and he an Alpha. "It's your thigh."
Without warning, he slit the tights on her right thigh with his kunai, then inserted the needle after rubbing the area with alcohol swab.
They waited, more like he waited relentlessly, and she squirmed and panted, and whatever he didn't want to know.
Five minutes had passed. Seven minutes. She is obviously not getting better, her pants were becoming harder. She squirmed and thrashed more violently.
He didn't understand. He had injected the medicine correctly, why wasn't it working? "Why isn't it working, Hyuuga?"
"I don't know!"
Why don't you know?
"Damn it. It's our last day and now you're luring in Alpha enemies?"
He wasn't being fair here, he knew. But whatever could he do anyway? What should he do? What the fuck should he do?
He tried to recollect whatever he had learned about human traits, each trait relationship to the others, some fated pair bullshit he had always stored to the back of his mind to throw away later, Omega's monthly ovulation, known triggers to induce unanticipated heat, what is heat and its importance to him as an Alpha.
What would be useful to current situation?
There was one. He knew for a fact that heat will subside if an Omega is sexually satisfied… So, having sex with her?
Not a minute had passed since his superego winning over his feral instinct and now he was thinking of having sex with her. It wasn't that he didn't want it, he had wanted it instantly the first time his nostrils caught the scent of her pheromones.
But would she want it? In here? In the middle of forest? Not to mention they were still in foreign territory. "Fuck it."
"Just inject the second dose!" She cried, bringing him out of his internal clash.
Who was more stupid? Sasuke, for not even thinking about the possibility of that option, or the Hyuuga for even thinking the worst way to aggravate the situation.
She should have already known the consequence of her proposed solution, right?
"And cripple you for the rest of your life?"
Her eyes widened and she wasn't even staring at him. She had been crying and he couldn't really blame her.
"I know, being an Omega is not your choice." What am I spouting? Why am I trying so hard to appease her with some destiny bullshit? "And not to cripple you is my choice. Emergency suppressant only works in one dose in a day. You know that."
She cried harder. "Just kill me."
Her reply struck him right at the heart. This Omega Hyuuga is insane. "My record is to bring back every partner I am with, alive. That includes you."
"What is your solution?!"
He was one sanity away from laughing hard. What better choice did he have? He was obviously the more rational one, objectively speaking, so he had to come up with a solution.
But sexual intercourse was the only solution he could come up with.
Her exceptional pearly eyes found their way to stare at his. He found himself struggling to keep his calm.
"I'll have to violate you. But you have to be on the same page with me."
If that was the only way to save her, he would do whatever.
She is his fated partner after all.
Author's Note : Then... you know the rest.
Hehe, kidding! What do you think now that you got the first light of what trully has been going on to Sasuke? On later chapters, you might need to take a reread to early chapters to find all those details, because everything he has done since meeting Hinata has always been purposeful.
Dear lovely readers thank you for your feedbacks! Views, faves, follows, reviews, everything, I love love love them! Bring forth your opinion about each chapter, how that one chapter has made you feel, and all your wonderings to that one hint or more I've put here and there, any questions, I'll try to enlighten you through later chapters to make things more thrilling!
Sometimes when I was too tired to continue this fic, I would close the file and find other thing to distract myself (like, studying, lol), because truth be told, majority of the time, I always opened this fic's file in my laptop, hoping if I got some out of no where inspiration to type, it would be easy to proceed. But I got no such luck, since in order to continue... I would need to think a lot lol since the english language hasn't yet rolled out of my brain that easily. Yet, every tiny pops in my email from any of you always does wonders as moments later I'd find myself finishing a scene, and when I got lucky, a chapter.
I also feel the need to mention how I've finally found the perfect art and granted the permission to use for this fic, as you might have already noticed from this fic's cover. Kinda remind me of that one scene in chapter 7, does it remind you of a specific scene?
Art by un0corn at tumblr and they draw some indulgent sasuhina stuffs a lot more!
Phew, that was a long AN, anyway see you next update!
