[Kukui Tanku]

"So where are we at Sensei?" Tayuya asked. It... was something to be called Sensei when I was barely a genin and all I taught the girl was how to use chakra and what chakra was exactly. I was trying to teach her more uses of chakra and chakra control as well. Currently we along with the others were at the Hako shinobi library.

And god was this place a bitch to find. I had to look everywhere and this seedy asshat had to make sure I wasn't a spy or something. But at least we were all allowed entrance now. If one of them touched Tayuya I'd rip their head off. I smiled at the redhead, "We are at a shinobi library for missing-nin like the four of us. We're here to get stuff to learn," Maybe I can get her a genjutsu book? That would help me a lot. We needed someone who was good at genjutsu in our group anyways.

"Yeah and we need to get some information too! Maybe we can find some rich nobleman trying to hire someone and rob them!" Himiko piped up from behind us. I frowned. One thing I learned in my past life was don't fuck with the rich. Although we could use some extra cash since today was about to be a pricy day.

Tayuya grinned, "Yeah and we can beat them up too!" She was the type to aim for the kneecaps. Poor Choujuro learned that the hard way, "Jerks probably deserve that," She was going to be a menace when she grew up. Thats for sure. And its only been like three days since Himiko's started to influence her.

Choujuro sighed, "As much of a good idea that would be at the moment it'd probably be a poor choice in the future," Never mess with the rich unless you can get away with it for sure, "They wouldn't be happy with anyone stealing from them and unless we stole from someone flawlessly we would be caught which isn't going to be pretty,"

Sanemi dragged a hand over his face, "As much as I'd love to talk about this, can we please not talk about this whilst we are about to enter a place where rich people can pay someone in there to hunt us down? We don't need anybody chasing us that's actually competent,"

I nodded, "Yeah we don't need another situation like what happened a few days ago," Tayuya tilted her head and I knew what was about to be asked, "We'll tell you about it later. But we're here and lets just get what we need. Should we split up or stay together?" I looked at them all and I glanced at Tayuya who was about to raise a hand, "No if we split up your not going with Himiko. I don't want her to teach you how to use knives yet," That'd just be traumatizing.

"Aww but knives are cool! I get to learn how to stab Crapheads who are mean and Himiko-sensei gets to teach me how to use her knives!" God damnit I hated the image that came to my head. Children shouldn't be learning to stab old greasy men who do in fact deserve to die.

Himiko nodded fervently, "Yeah! And I can hopefully teach her some super cool tricks!"

Choujuro gulped, "U-uh maybe we should stay together then? Or if we split apart then you three can go together so nobody learns how to stab anyone," The middle man was always the most dangerous. I supposed this tracked.

Sanemi nodded, "Yeah do that just so you two don't fight over custody,"

I sighed, "I'll ignore that for now. But Himiko, Tayuya come with me so nobody gets stabbed please. I'd like to not get kicked out of here after just getting let in twenty minutes ago,"

"Okay!"

I waved the two other boys off as we began walking in separate directions. They went for the more physical aspect of chakra area and we went toward the spiritual aspect of chakra area. Soon after Himiko just waved at us and ran off after the two.

'Of course she doesn't stick with us.' I thought. Oh well. At least she wouldn't try to teach Tayuya how to skin someone again... That was something I both regret and don't regret walking in on.

"So what are we getting Sensei?" Tayuya asked as we walked along the isle. I felt like an older brother to a young child making sure they weren't about to die.

I shrugged, "Whatever interests you and me. I already know what I want. Jutsu creation and hopefully one on lightning jutsu but I doubt I'll find that. But first I think I need to catch you up on the main categories of shinobi attacks," I had forgot to fill Tayuya in on the basics other than chakra. I really needed to do that now.

Tayuya nodded, "Yeah I know you didn't tell me everything yet Sensei! But now you can explain it and what the hell chakra does outside of making people walk on tree's and water!" I wouldn't let Himiko corrupt her. Nope. This was my chibi redhead.

I cleared my throat. This was about to be a long explanation. At least I could grab what I wanted beforehand, " Well there are three main Ninjutsu types along with some sub-types. The main types are Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. The subtypes are Bukijutsu, Kenjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Senjutsu, barrierjutsu, Iryojutsu, and Juinjutsu. Ninjutsu is the most vauge of the three main types. Most can simply be described as anything that is not genjutsu or taijutsu. Most ninjutsu require chakra and hand seals, but this is not always the case since the mere usage of weaponry qualifies as ninjutsu. But basically Ninjutsu allows you to weaponize chakra into attacks,"

Tayuya shook her head, "That sounds complicated and weird..."

I nodded, "Ninjutsu is. I barely understand it myself but Ninjutsu is one of the main three for a reason," I wanted to make my own. 'Oh hey there's the jutsu creation book!' I grabbed it excitedly.

Tayuya shrugged, "Okay. You can continue Sensei,"

Okay Taijutsu next would be good. I smiled, "Taijutsu is a basic form of techniques and refers to any techniques involving martial arts or the optimization of natural human abilities. Taijutsu is executed by directly accessing the user's physical and mental energies, relying on the stamina and strength gained through training. It normally does need chakra, though chakra can be used to make ones attacks hit harder. Taijutsu generally requires no hand seals to perform although it occasionally has the user use of certain stances or poses, But normally taijutsu is far quicker to use than ninjutsu or genjutsu," That should cover all bases for that. Walking further down the isle I saw a few men nod at me and I nodded back. All of them had slashed headbands. 'Missing nin are weird.' I learned that nodding was a sign of recognition quickly.

Tayuya frowned, "That sounds boring Sensei. And dangerous. What if someone has poison and is faster than you?" Either you had medical ninjutsu to nullify it so you could make an antidote or you already had one. Tis was the truth of the world we lived in. Also thank god she was smart enough to see some potential flaws in Taijutsu.

I shrugged, "Either you have an antidote, are a combat medic, or you die. Thats the danger of Taijutsu and its trade off. All types of Jutsu have a trade off when using them. Taijutsu's is the potential to be outclassed in close combat,"

Tayuya looked down, "What about Genjutsu? Whats that about?"

I smiled. Well maybe I could get her interested in it here, " Unlike ninjutsu, the effects of genjutsu are not real, being just sensory illusions experienced by those who fall victim to it. According to the Second Mizukage's book on genjutsu which I read before I defected from Kirigakure, genjutsu falls under the broad category of Yin Release. A genjutsu is created when a ninja controls the chakra flow of a target's brain, affecting their five senses; this is frequently used to create false images and or to trick the body into believing its has experienced physical sensations like pain. It can basically make's one a-"

Tayuya cut me off and looked at me with a serious expression, "That sounds badass. I can knock people out with just a crappy illusion? Sign me the hell up!"

I pat Tayuya on the head as I grabbed a Genjutsu book that was very conveniently nearby, "It isn't that simple. But if you want to give it a go then we'll see how you fare at it. But we'll have to improve your chakra control first so you can do it. Are you up for the task?"

Tayuya nodded, "Heck yeah!" A glow of excitement was in her eyes. It was adorable. I grinned.

'II miss my own innocence.' I wasn't a good person anymore. Me killing had tainted my own innocence. Watching Tayuya's own excitement made me happier. This was just sweet to watch... I had to protect it. I hadn't known Tayuya for long but she was just a child. Someone who was still mostly uncorrupted by the world.

"Uh sensei you spaced out for a second?" Tayuya poked me and I was shaken out of my thoughts, "Thinking about something,"

I grinned, "Yeah. I was. Nothing important though. Let's go see what the others got, okay?" Tayuya nodded and we began to walk in the other direction. I had a good idea as to what they all got but I could be proven wrong.

Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't. Either way we needed to be stronger. Not just for us at this point. But for Tayuya and whomever else we may look after in the future.

As I walked I saw a nobleman talking to a missing-nin who looked in the process of telling the man to fuck off. 'Ah fuck it.' I activated stealth. I walked up to the man and quickly stole his wallet. I then quickly walked back to Tayuya who looked surprised.

"Can you teach me that?"

"Sure."

[Jiraya]

Hako.

A town known for its shinobi training. Mainly for Kiri's daimyo's personal shinobi's training. But it is also known for its secret Library among Missing Nin. Jiraya hoped to get some information from the library or one of the missing nin that was likely hiding out here. This place was a safe haven for them after all. But he needed to find one from Kirigakure. Now that shouldn't be too difficult for Jiraya. After all he was in the land of water. The home of Kirigakure.

So far the information he gathered was huge but he felt like he needed bit more.

He found out about the Kirigakrue rebellion and what they were doing to bloodline users. Yagura was killing them all off and there were people fighting back. He also learned that most Kiri0-nin were sick fucks. At least that Hozuki fellow he met was polite.

There was currently a high profile missing-nin or multiple who destroyed Kirigakure's academy and killed all the sensei in it. Jiraya felt he owed whomever did it a beer or two because this was a giant clusterfuck for Kirigakure military wise. Although it'd fuck over the rebellion if they won anytime soon unless they had a few spare sensei.

Kisame Hoshigaki had defected from Kirigakure. That was both great and worrying news. Great because Kiri had lost its most powerful sword and one of its most powerful ninja. Worrying because who knows where Kisame would end up.

Currently there were a bunch of hunter-nin deployed looking for someone. Jiraya knew this because he fought a few coming back from missions. They were thankfully all dead. Jiraya had an idea of what this could be. Either they were hunting the missing nin that destroyed the academy, Kisame Hoshigaki still, or someone else. The only high profile person Jiraya could think of was another swordsman or a jinchurriki.

And finally, Yagura was apparently really paranoid. He had seen the man once and an entire platoon of Anbu were with him. That was just overkill. Thankfully for Jiraya he wasn't seen and he got away. Jiraya prided himself in his strength but damnit he wasn't going to fight a Kage level Jinchurriki and an entire platoon of Kiri anbu. That was tantamount to suicide even for the great toad sage.

So now he was looking for a final piece of info to get to Hiruzen to convince him to join in on this war. To help the rebellion and to hopefully get an alliance. Although he'd have to ensure Danzo wouldn't be involved. Also maybe ask for an uchiha or two? Maybe Shunshin no Shisui would be willing to join. Jiraya had heard and seen what had happened to a lot of children and it was sickening enough to warrant him stepping into the fight himself. So asking for an up and coming shinobi wouldn't be too big of an issue.

Now he found himself wandering through Hako, searching for the Shinobi library. He was in the outskirts of the place since that'd be the most likely place for it to be in. "These things are really well hidden huh?" Jiraya pondered.

Soon enough he found an opening which he hoped led to the shinobi library. Instead, he found five children training. He saw a silver haired one practicing chakra flow, A blue haired one training his swordmanship, A girl practicing her chakra, and a brown haired boy reading something. A book on Jutsu creation? He also had a scroll that looked to be from Kumogakure nearby They looked young. Eleven at most. He was near a younger girl with red hair... She reminded Jiraya of Kushina. She looked to be reading a genjutsu book. She looked around seven or eight.

Jiraya then noticed something. A tiny detail that made Jiraya worried. The four older kids had slashed headbands. Kirigakure headbands. What would these kids be doing in Hako? It was a safe haven but... Oh god. 'Don't let them be the ones.'

Before Jiraya could go talk to them he saw a man with a regular Kirigakure headband walk up to him. He just appeared, "May I inquire what four kids with slashed headbands are doing in a placed like this? I assume they were slashed on accident," The man's tone was polite. Jiraya saw the brown haired boy slip his book into a bag and unsheath two taiji blades. The other three also grabbed various blades of their own, "I guess this means your hostile," The man had a sick grin, "Well I'm going to enjoy this," He slipped through a few hand seals, "Water style: Great water collision wave!"

Jiraya went through a few hand seals of his own, "Earth style: Earth wall!" He slammed his feet into the ground and a wall rose up between the stunned kids and the Kiri shinobi. He then quickly killed the Kiri shinobi with a Rasengan.

The brown haired kid looked at him in both awe, fear, and recognition. He glanced around and prepared for a fight. Jiraya chuckled, "Don't worry kid I'm not gonna hurt you. Now can you explain to me why the hell I find four brats wearing slashed headbands?"

[Yagura Karatachi]

So far the efforts in finding Utakata weren't going as Yagura had hoped. But he had expected this to happen. He had thought he seen the man when he spotted a glimpse of someone earlier but it was just his imagination or the Sanbi playing a trick on him. Either way it wasn't something pleasant.

Yagura sighed as he reached his office and sat down. He wished he could see his beloved wife on days like these. Days where even though he failed, someone wouldn't be disappointed in him. It just hurt to know she left him. He also wished to see his son's face again after so long but it seemed he wasn't about to get any of his wishes.

At least he still had Rei.

"Are you feeling okay father?" He heard Rei ask from the side as she entered the room with a bottle of water and a sandwich. She was a young woman with light blue hair and orange eyes. She reminded Yagura of his mother a bit. God how he missed mother.

Yagura nodded and took the food offered, "Thank you, sweetheart. I'm doing fine... I do find myself to be a little disappointed and sad though over the missions failure," He was the Mizukage. He couldn't fail. His people needed him to win and succeed so they would all prosper.

He felt a comforting hand on his shoulder, "I understand how you feel father. I imagine that not being able to find the Rokubi is disappointing. I am sure you will locate him eventually," Rei smiled and gave the short man a hug, "I must go now and report to Kaneki about how the mission went,"

Yagura nodded, "Thank you Rei and tell Kaneki I said hello. Its been a while since I talked to the man," The leader of his anbu was a very strong man who made his own Hiden jutsu. He was someone Yagura deeply respected and listened too. He wasn't in full support of Yagura's purification campaign but he said he'd support the man anyways. He was a true friend. Also he took a lot of Paperwork off of his shoulders.

Rei nodded, "I shall do that father," Rei shunshinned away, leaving Yagura alone with Lumiare who remained silent.

'Perhaps I need to call in an ally?' Yagura had many allies outside of Kiri. Not all of them he liked or liked him but they had a working relationship. But there were a few he liked and who's help was something he greatly needed. 'I hate to admit it but it I might need to call in the man for help.'

The man he had given the last Kaguya too in exchange for the key to the Rashomon gates summoning jutsu. Orochimaru of the sannin. Or better known as Konoha's biggest traitor these days. Yagura respected the man's power but not the man as a whole for the experiments he was doing. But his power and his subordinate's power spoke for itself.

Yagura had made up his mind then.

The short man looked to Lumiare as he swallowed the last bite of his sandwich. Lumiare had the power of light manipulation. He swore loyalty to Yagura after the Mizukage spared him after seeing the man's joy to the cause and his near unrivaled dedication, "Lumiare," He got the man's attention, "Could you go get our contact in the land of sound? I would like to make a bargain,"

Without speaking Lumiare left.

Now Yagura had to wait.

[Meanwhile]

A figure yawned as he finished taking off his shackles, "Man I hope whomever caused this gets a vacation. Freedom feels nice," The figure said as they walked out of the destroyed building. He looked over to his compatriot, "Eh, Yami! You finished yet? We're about to leave with Urahara and Mangetsu!"

Yami grabbed a giant axe and hammer combo from a corpse. The corpse was that of Jinjin Akebino. The wielder of Kabutowari. Or now, former weilder, "I'm done. The old man got weaker in his old age. Sensei appears to have kept my old blade,"

Urahara clapped, "Alright that's just a bonus. You can keep it as per the rules of the swordsman, Yami, now lets go!"

[Chapter end]

I originally planned for there to be a full Urahara PoV but I don't really have the time. Or the patience. I also planned for an omake of Kukui rewriting A Tv Show which ended up just being a crappy fanfic version of it because his memory wasn't that good. It was supposed to poke fun at my own writing but, again I was too lazy. I might include it around chapter 20 which is three chapters away now. Huh, food for thought. Anyways, a lot has happened in the last few days.

My PC's pixels were dying so I had to do screen transplant. Also damn fireworks were just keeping me up all night... Maybe that's why my screen didn't fit in the case and I have to tape it together with clear tape? Lol. So yeah... Also, I saw the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie! I enjoyed it a lot. I think that covers the last few days of my life. Idk why I'm sharing this I just feel like it. I also ordered a set of tools to transplant a different screen into my PC but... I already did it... I can't get a refund sadly. I think I'm going to clean out my PS4 tomorrow. Just to make it run better.

Anyways I hope you enjoyed! This is a longer chapter wordcount wise and I think its pretty nice! I'm excited to see how Jiraya reacts with the five(Also no, he won't be their sensei, I don't want him to be that guy. He'll of course help them but he won't be a sensei. I just want to stress that. He will be important as this chapter said.
