The doctor watched as the Paris family entered the sickbay for a check-up. He didn't see Tom with them. The doctor watched as B'Elanna ushered the kids to the bio bed one. She lifted Gabby up on the bed while Miral and Dexter climbed up.

The doctor made his way over to them with his medial tricorder. "Hello, Miss Paris," He ran it over Miral.

"Hi, doctor," Miral smiled.

The doctor pressed something on the tricorder and smiled at Miral. He turned to B'Elanna and saw how tired she looked. "Everything is good on her," He went over to Dexter, who was in the middle. "Hello, Mr. Paris," The young boy smiled at him as he did the doctor did the scan. He turned to the mother and told B'Elanna. "Mr. Paris is all good," The doctor went over to the youngest and a mischievous smile on Gabby's face. The doctor felt that this girl was going to cause some trouble for her parents. The doctor gave a quick glance at B'Elanna and started to wonder something. The doctor did a scan of Gabby and saw that everything was good with her. The doctor turned back to B'Elanna. "All have a clean bill of health."

B'Elanna nodded and watched as the doctor talked with the children for a moment making sure that they were okay. B'Elanna was glad and was ready to get them back to their classes because she needed to get back to Engineering. She had forgotten that she had planned this doctor appointment for the kids and planned something for engineering.

"Everything is good, Commander," The doctor said. B'Elanna helped her kids off the bed and headed for the door. "Can you please come back later, Commander Torres? I would like to talk to you about something." The doctor asked.

"I'll see if I can. I'm needed in Engineering after I drop off the kids," B'Elanna touched the children's shoulders so they didn't run into the corridor. "Maybe tonight."

B'Elanna dropped off the children at school and headed for Engineering, forgetting about the doctor as her head went to work. B'Elanna got to work right away.

Later in the afternoon, B'Elanna sat at her personal workstation, looking at the results of the test she ran. She glanced at the clock and saw what time it was and knew she had to pick up the kids soon. Tom had to work on the bridge and do a half shift in sickbay before he could come home. She remembered that the doctor wanted to see her. She gathered a few PADDs before heading out. She did give orders on her way out.

B'Elanna made her way to sickbay to find the doctor in his office. He looked up when she entered. "Commander Torres," He stood.

"What did you need, doctor?" B'Elanna asked She wondered if he had something on the children.

"Please take a seat, Commander," The pointed to the bio bed one.

"What is going on? I have to pick up the kids soon." B'Elanna took a seat on the bio bed.

"I just want to check on something," The doctor pulled out his tricorder and ran it over her. "Have you been tired lately?"

"Yes, I have three kids and a department to run," B'Elanna reminded him.

"You seemed more tired than usually," The doctor at his tricorder and smiled. "Commander, I have to say congratulation," He showed her the results of the tricorder. B'Elanna gave him a confused look. "You are going to have another a baby and it looks like you are eight weeks."

B'Elanna moaned. She had enough on her plate. She was going to have to talk to Tom, but she knew that they were going to keep the baby. They would make it work. She sighed knowing what the doctor said was true.

"Please lay down and let me take a look at you," The doctor smiled. B'Elanna laid down and let the doctor do his work. "Everything looks good, but as you are closer to forty than your other pregnancies. I'm going to keep a closer eye on you," B'Elanna nodded as the doctor moved away. B'Elanna sat up. "You can go, B'Elanna. I will let you know if you need to come back."

B'Elanna got off the bio bed and headed out. She knew what the doctor meant, with both of her girls she had to have spinal surgery. She didn't have to have it with Dexter.

B'Elanna made her way to the school rooms to pick up the children. She thought about how she could be pregnant because she couldn't remember a time with her and Tom. They also had Gabby sleeping with her. B'Elanna moaned because they were on the shuttle eight weeks ago.

"Mommy," Gabby called out when she saw her. Gabby's teacher was standing next to her. B'Elanna knew that she was late because she had gone to the sick bay.

B'Elanna smiled at the teacher. "Sorry, I'm late," She took the PADD from the teacher.

"It's all right," The teacher said. B'Elanna nodded and took Gabby's hand.

"Thank you," B'Elanna headed for the door next to Miral's classroom.

B'Elanna went to get her two other children. They headed for the turbolift. B'Elanna took the children to the mess hall to get dinner. Tom had told her earlier that he would be later than expected. They grabbed dinner from Neelix and headed for home.

Once they got home, she sat down to dinner with the children where they told her all about their day. After dinner, B'Elanna helped Miral with her homework. B'Elanna let the kids watch a cartoon movie before bedtime. She got the kids to sleep and hoped that Gabby would sleep in her own bed. She cleaned up the main area before heading to her room. She hoped that Tom would be home soon. B'Elanna got ready for bed. She took a seat on the couch and picked up a PADD she brought home from engineering. She had a meeting with Janeway coming up soon.

An hour later, B'Elanna heard the outer door open and knew Tom was home. She heard make his way around their quarters, checking on the children. She sat her PADD down and she heard the door to their room open. Tom looked around and saw her sitting on the couch. He smiled and made his way over to her. Tom leaned down and kissed her.

"How was your day?" He asked as he took a seat next to her.

"It was okay. The kids had a doctor appointment, and everything looks good with them." Tom nodded. "I had to go back later."

Tom glanced at her. "Is everything okay?" B'Elanna could hear the worry in his voice. He looked her up and down.

B'Elanna nodded. "It's just we are going to add to our numbers," Tom gave her a confused look. B'Elanna smiled. "We are going to have a baby."

It took a moment for it to register in Tom's mind to what she said. He leaned down at her still flat stomach. "How?" He looked at the bed then back at her.

B'Elanna narrowed her eyes at him. "You should know how babies are made. We have three already."

Tom rolled his eyes. "That is not what I meant," He saw a smile on her face. He leaned forward towards her. "How are you pregnant?" He placed a hand on her stomach and kissed her.

"I have idea," B'Elanna said against his lips.

"Really," Tom pulled her under him.

"Yes," B'Elanna sighed. "Us on a shuttlecraft alone with no kids," She whispered in his ear.

Tom glanced at the door. "What do you think we will get the night alone?"

"Maybe a fifty/fifty chance," B'Elanna looked over his shoulder and waited to hear footsteps.

Tom sighed and pulled B'Elanna up. "We shouldn't chance it," B'Elanna nodded.

"We have to talk to her about sleeping with us, especially with the new baby," B'Elanna leaned her head against Tom's shoulder.

Tom reached for her hand and pulled it closer to his lips. "Are we really going to do this again?"

"Yeah, we are adding another to our crazy family," B'Elanna closed her eyes.

Tom kissed the top of her head. "We are going to have to tell the captain."

"I'll tell her tomorrow I have an early meeting with her. You'll have to get the kids up and take them to school."

Tom nodded and stood up. He held out his hand for B'Elanna to take. "Come let's get you to bed," B'Elanna took his hand and let Tom led her to the bed. Tom tucked her in and kissed her goodnight. B'Elanna closed her eyes, but she wouldn't get to sleep until Tom was in bed with her. She listened as Tom got ready for bed. She let out a little sigh as she felt him slide under the blanket and put his hands around her.

B'Elanna woke to find Gabby lying in the middle of the bed. Some point in the middle of the night, Gabby must have climbed in. B'Elanna must have been sleeping deeply because she didn't hear her. B'Elanna looked over at Tom to see him sleeping. B'Elanna tiptoed passed them to the bathroom to shower and change. B'Elanna gathered her PADDs and quietly left the quarters.

B'Elanna made her way through the quiet ship to the captain's ready room. She rang the chime, and it didn't take long for Janeway to tell her to enter. "Good morning, B'Elanna," Janeway stood behind her desk and headed for the replicator. "Can I get you a coffee?

B'Elanna shook her head. "No," B'Elanna knew that she couldn't have caffeine while she was pregnant. She could also hear Tom in the back of her head, telling her no. He would always take coffee away from her when she was pregnant with the other three.

"Are you feeling well? You have never turned down coffee. The last time you turned down coffee was three years ago when you were pregnant with Gabby," Janeway's eyes widen. "Are you…"

B'Elanna nodded. "We just found out yesterday."

Janeway smiled. "Congratulations. So, I guess you needed that extra time on the shuttle."

"This wasn't planned," Janeway raised an eyebrow. "It's true. Yes, we enjoyed the alone time, but we didn't plan this baby," B'Elanna explained.

Janeway laughed and ordered a decafé coffee for B'Elanna and a regular coffee for herself. She handed the decafé to B'Elanna before taking her seat again. "How did the test go last night?" Janeway asked.

They spent the next hour going over the data from the test yesterday.

B'Elanna was leaving the ready room when the doctor called her. "Commander Torres to the sick bay."

B'Elanna sighed and headed for sickbay. She thought that this had to be about the baby. The baby had to be a girl and she needed surgery. B'Elanna sighed because she wanted a boy to even out the numbers. Two boys and two girls. She placed a hand on her stomach and thought that they would be happy with either.

B'Elanna entered sickbay to see the doctor standing there with a smile. "You needed me doctor."

"Yes, your baby is a boy and will not need the surgery." The doctor told her.

B'Elanna let out a sigh. "Thank you, doctor," B'Elanna was heading for the door when the doctor spoke.

"B'Elanna, I would like to see you next week."

B'Elanna stopped and turned towards the doctor. "If I remember it, was you needed to see me every month."

"Yes, but as you are older, I would like to keep a closer eye on you," The doctor said.

B'Elanna nodded and left sickbay. She made her way to Engineering where she found a message from Tom asking her to lunch at their quarters. B'Elanna didn't mind spending some time with Tom alone.

"I'm going to lunch," B'Elanna said to her second in command. "I'll be back in a couple of hours."

B'Elanna left engineering and headed for their quarters to find lunch on the table, but her husband wasn't around. "Tom," She called out.

"In here," Tom yelled from their bedroom. B'Elanna went to the door of their bedroom to find Tom placing a small crib at the foot of the bed. B'Elanna knew the crib. It was the same one that Tom replicated when she was pregnant with Miral.

"You kept it," B'Elanna smiled. She stepped into the room. "I thought you got rid of it after Gabby was grown up enough."

Tom smiled. "No, I thought I keep it until Gabby was five."

"So," B'Elanna wrapped her arms around his neck. "You had it planned for us to have more children."

"No, I just wanted us to be safe than sorry."

"Tom," B'Elanna touched the back of his head where his hair touched his neck.

"Yeah," Tom wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Shut up and kiss me. We are alone in our quarters." Tom smiled and bent his head to her lips. Tom reached for the zipper of her uniform when they heard.

"All senior staff to the briefing room."

Tom and B'Elanna broke the kiss and sighed. They felt that they were never going to have a moment to themselves. "I think that we are going to steal a shuttle just have some alone time," Tom took B'Elanna hand.

B'Elanna laughed. "How much trouble would we be in?"

There was a look in Tom's eyes that B'Elanna had missed since they became parents. "A lot. Janeway would ask if we are responsible adults and what kind of parents are we."

B'Elanna sighed. She knew Tom was right. "I can see us doing that in the beginning of our relationship."

Tom laughed because that was so many years ago. He remembered when they started their relationship. They didn't know where it was going, but they wanted to see. "Yes, especially when those aliens were doing science experiment on us."

They made their way to the turbolift. Tom told the computer where to go. "Janeway's head would have exploded." Tom kissed the side of her head.

"We would have been demoted and in the brig," B'Elanna laughed.

The turbolift doors opened, they stepped off the lift, and headed towards the briefing room. To find most of the senior staff there. Tom and B'Elanna took the last two seats.

"We are come across the Medhir, and they are a welcoming on the planet. I should think of there is anything we need to make used of the planet," The senior staff nodded. "Also, I think we should have the children take a field trip to the planet," Janeway looked at Tom and B'Elanna. It felt that Janeway knew that Tom and B'Elanna were trying to get a moment alone.

"I think that is a good idea, Captain," Neelix smiled.

"Then I'll leave you to plan it," Janeway said.

They spent some time discussing some day-to-day things before everyone got up and headed out.

B'Elanna pulled Tom aside before she got on the turbolift. "We should tell the children tonight."

Tom looked around before looking back at her. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, they are going to notice the crib in our room." B'Elanna crossed her arms.

"We should also talk to Gabby about sleeping in our bed," Tom leaned closer. "I would like to spend some time with my wife."

B'Elanna placed her hands on his chest. "I would, too."

"B'Elanna," Tom and B'Elanna looked to see Neelix heading for them.

"See you later," Tom walked away from her.

Later that day after dinner and homework, Tom and B'Elanna sat the kids on the couch. B'Elanna looked at each of the children. Miral looked just like her, dark hair and dark eyes. She looked at Dexter and saw a mini-Tom only with ridges. B'Elanna looked at her youngest, who had her father's blond hair and B'Elanna's dark eyes. She wondered what the new baby would look like.

Tom took a seat at the edge of the table. B'Elanna gave him a look before sitting next to the children. "Your mom and I have something to tell you," Tom smiled.

The children looked from him to their mother. B'Elanna placed a hand on her stomach. "You are going to have a baby brother or sister in several months."

The kids traded looks with each other before Miral asked. "Can we go play?" B'Elanna nodded. The kids got up. "Gabby, daddy and I need to talk to about something," B'Elanna reached towards Gabby to keep her on the couch. Gabby decided she didn't want to stay. Tom reached for her and grabbed her. He settled her on the couch and took a seat next to her.

"Gabby, you are going to have to stop sleeping with Daddy and me."

B'Elanna watched as Gabby's face changed. Her bottom lip started to tremble. "No," She tried to get off couch and Tom held her there.

"Yes," Tom said. "Mommy is having a new baby, they are going to cry a lot, and I think that you want your sleep. We would like you to be a big girl and sleep in your own bed."

Gabby looked between her parents. "What about me having a bad dream?"

"You can come and get mommy or me, but you have to stay in your own bed," Tom said.

Gabby nodded. B'Elanna knew that she didn't like it, but she on a brave face. Gabby got off the couch and ran to her room. B'Elanna wondered what she was telling her sister.

B'Elanna leaned back on the couch and Tom wrapped an arm around her. B'Elanna closed her eyes. Tom kissed the top pf her head. "Oh. I forgot to tell you," B'Elanna opened her eyes and looked at Tom. "I went to the doctor this morning and we are having a boy," She leaned back again.

"Thank God," Tom sighed. "Now, we won't have three girls in one room and Dexter by himself," B'Elanna shook her head at her husband before closing her eyes again.
