Jonathan and Travis entered the bar. It smelled like stale beer. It looked cleaned as they made their way to the bar. The bartender looked up at hem and smiled. "What can I do for you, gents?" He asked.

"Last night, you had a couple of guys talking about a Vulcan woman being in Mississippi," Jonathan traded a look with Travis before looking at the bartender again. "We were wondering if you knew who they were?"

The bartender looked at their Starfleet uniforms. He saw that Jonathan had the pips of a captain. He narrowed his eyes at Jonathan. "And why would I tell you, Captain?" He asked.

Jonathan and Travis traded a look. He knew who they were. Jonathan turned back to the bartender. "Because I can make your life a living hell," Jonathan knew that there was a Starfleet training grounds near here. "I can tell Starfleet to ban this bar and I'm sure you get a lot of Starfleet personal in here." The bartenders face lost all their color.

"You…you can't do that," The bartender got out somehow.

"I can because I'm Captain Jonathan Archer and the two men you had in here last night took my first officer, my chief engineer, and their son. I need them to fight a war that many our people are dying."

The bartender took a moment before answering Jonathan. He knew that he had to think about it for a moment. He sighed. "They Grant and Zach Wood," He thought that they might be done talking.

"And where can I find them?" Jonathan asked.

The bartender sighed. He had a feeling that they were going to leave until they had everything they needed. "They have a farm on the outskirts of town."

Jonathan smiled. "Thank you," He slapped his hand on the bar top. "That wasn't too hard, now was it."

Jonathan and Travis turned around to leave when the bartender spoke again. "You have to remember that there are people that don't like all these aliens on our planet."

Jonathan turned and glanced at the man. "That's too bad since these aliens are helping us in this war," Jonathan didn't say anymore as he turned on his heel and left the building with Travis following him.

It wasn't hard to find the farm. It looked run down to them. There was a house in the back that looked like it needed many repairs. Travis saw a sign that said, no trespassers.

"Captain," Travis pointed out the sign.

Jonathan took out his phaser and Travis followed. "Let's be prepared for anything."

Travis nodded and they headed for the house. They were halfway there when someone came out on the pouch with a rifle and fired it at them. "You and the nig- need to get off my land."

Jonathan threw a look at Travis. Travis just shook his head. "We just want to talk to Grant or Zach Wood," Jonathan threw up his hand while holding his phaser.

"I won't talk to the likes of him," The man waved his rifle at Travis.

"Well, that is too bad because he is my pilot and I need him," Jonathan stood there.

"Okay, then," Grant or Zach pointed the rifle at Jonathan. He was ready to shoot a shot when Travis shot his phaser and hit the man in the shoulder. The man fell backwards on the pouch. He dropped his rifle on the pouch.

Jonathan and Travis ran up and took the rifle, so it was out of range for the man. Jonathan pointed his phaser at the man as he kneeled before him. "Now you can answer my questions," The man narrowed his eyes at them and spit in their faces. Jonathan wiped his face and was ready to say something when they heard.

"Grant, is everything okay?" Zach Wood stepped out of the house. He saw that his brother was on the ground with two men standing over him. Zach reached behind him to grab something.

"I wouldn't," Travis pointed his phaser at Zach. "I was the one who shot your brother."

Zach narrowed his eyes at Travis. "I don't take orders from you," He reached for his rifle, but his shoulder was hit, and his hand dropped from the rifle.

Travis reached and grabbed Zach by his shirt before he fell over. He threw him in a chair that was on the pouch. Travis went and grabbed the gun that was in the house while having his phaser pointed to Zach.

Jonathan looked between the two men. "Where did you take my first and second officer?" Neither man said anything. Jonathan looked up at Travis. "Who should we shoot first? And where?" Travis made a look like he was thinking.

"Who?" Zach asked.

"There was a man and Vulcan woman with child, where did you take them?" Jonathan asked again.

Zach threw Travis a look. "Just like this nig-, those Vulcans should be chains."

Travis had to get a grip on his anger before he hit the man in the face with the other end of phaser. Jonathan gave his helmsman a look before turning back Zach. "I'm going to ask you one more time before I start shooting. Where did you take them?" Neither Zach nor Grant said anything. "I could use one of your rifles to shoot you and since you are here in the middle of nowhere, I don't know how long it is going to take for help to get to you."

Grant shook his head at Zach. Travis had a feeling that they weren't going to get anything out of them. Travis checked the rifle that he had in his hand to make sure that he had bullets. He pointed the rifle at Grant's head.

"I could shoot him right now," Travis turned to Zach. "And not feel a thing. I'm sure you don't want to lose your brother."

"Moon's Farm in Kansas," Zach said.

"We are going to take these with us until we are at the edge of your property, and you are not going to grab these until you can't see us anymore," Jonathan stood and nodded at Travis. They left the pouch and made their way down the drive, watching the two men on the pouch. They ran after setting the rifles down.

Tripp woke to find that his shoulder was bandaged, and he was on the mate. He looked and saw how hard it was to use. He saw T'Pol sleeping next to him. She was the one who probably bandaged him. He took his good hand and ran it over her hair. It woke her. She looked at him.

"The bullet is still in your shoulder," T'Pol moved a piece of his hair out of his face.

"We'll get Phlox to fix me when we get out of here," Tripp tried to smile but it was hard. He felt that Jonathan was looking for them when they didn't come on the ship, and he was starting to figure out where they were.

T'Pol looked at the screen where their son was and saw that he was sleeping. "Are we going to get out of here?" She asked without looking at him. Tripp tried to get up, but T'Pol pushed him down. "You need rest."

"We'll get out of here," Tripp reached up and placed a hand on T'Pol cheek. "We'll hold our son again."

Dudley came back in the room. "Good you are a wake," He smiled. "Come and take a seat," He waved to the table again.

"He can't move," T'Pol said in a very logical voice.

"I don't care. Help him up," Dudley made his way to the table before looking at T'Pol again. "And I thought that I didn't want to hear you talk."

Tripp could tell that T'Pol wanted to hurt the man, but she also knew that he could kill or Tripp. T'Pol stood and then helped Tripp stand. They made their way to the table. They were about to sit when they heard a crash. They traded a look and wondered what was going to happen to them now. Dudley could shoot them right now so they could say anything to what was happening.

"Stay here," Dudley said as he ran from the room.

Tripp and T'Pol traded a look when they didn't hear a lock on the door. They weren't stupid and made their way to the door. The door opened for them. They poked their heads out to see if anyone was around them. There was no one there, everyone must have gone to see what the crash was about.

"Come on, let's go, find Charlie, and get the hell out of here," Tripp headed left because they it was the only way they could go.

They looked in every room to find their son. In one room they found a room full of guns and not the phaser kind. Tripp had to wondered why they were using these kinds of guns when phaser was so much better. Tripp took one and gave one to T'Pol.

"I don't know how to use one of these," T'Pol looked at the gun.

"Just point and press the trigger," Tripp showed her what to do.

They left the room and made their way to the front of the building. They realized that they were heading up. They saw the sunlight coming through windows of a barn turned into a somewhat of a house. They continue to open doors. There was one more on this level and they were going to have go upstairs. Tripp held the gun as he opened the door.

"Mama," They heard Charlie as he saw his mom.

T'Pol dropped the gun she was holding and gathered Charlie in her arms as he ran into them. Tripp picked up the gun before it went off. He looked over at Charlie to make sure that he was okay. He ran a hand over Charlie to make sure he was real.

"Come on," Tripp said. "Let's get out of here."

They made their way to the door of the barn to get out. They stopped at the door and saw men and women laying on the ground. "I was wondering why there was no one to stop us," T'Pol held Charlie close to her.

"Me, too," Tripp put the guns down to show whoever had taken these people out that T'Pol and he meant no harm. "We mean no harm," Tripp shouted to the fields of wheat because that was where the men and women facing.

"Tripp is that you," Jonathan stepped out of the wheat with Travis by his side.

Tripp took a breath when he saw his friends. "Yeah, I have T'Pol and Charlie with me."

Jonathan looked and saw his first officer and her son. He let out a breath. "Come on, let's get out of here." He waved them to come forward before anyone else came.

Travis led them to the shuttle and that is when T'Pol let out a breath and let Charlie go. He stayed in his mother's lap and fell asleep. There was a lot of excitement happening today. Tripp looked at his family and was glad that they were alright.

"How did this happen?" Jonathan asked. "I thought everyone was okay with Vulcans."

"I don't know," Tripp said as he thought about their time in Mississippi. "My family was okay with us."

"I don't think it was your family, but someone close," T'Pol ran a hand down Charlie's back.

"Everyone at the birthday party was family, except a few family friends, but they have friends for forever," Tripp tried to think about all who was there.

"Not your grandmother's nurse," T'Pol said. "I don't think she liked me for some reason."

"We'll look into it," Jonathan looked at the family. "Rest."

Tripp wasn't going to close his eyes until they were on the ship. The last time he closed his eyes that ended up in barn. He saw T'Pol close her eyes as she held on to Charlie. Tripp talked with Jonathan if these people were part of Terra Prime. Jonathan said that he might have someone at Starfleet investigate it.

Tripp took a breath as he entered his quarters. He looked around inspecting to see his wife on the couch or in their room mediating. He was surprised to see her standing in the doorway of Charlie's room. He made his way over to her. He looked over her to his sleeping son. "You know everything is okay with him. The doctor looked him over and nothing was wrong with him."

T'Pol turned around. "I know, but I still don't want to let him out of my sight." Tripp nodded. He didn't want Charlie out of his sight either. T'Pol looked at his shoulder. "How is your shoulder?" She asked.

Tripp looked down at the sling that his arm was in. Phlox was able to get the bullet out and fix everything, but Tripp was going to have to keep his arm in this sling for week. "It is fine. Jonathan got a report back. It was my grandmother's nurse, who told the Wood brothers about us being there. They were the one that contacted Terra Prime. Terra Prime was glad to have us all they needed was a way to get us to Kansas." T'Pol nodded. "Come on," Tripp grabbed her hand and led her to their room. "We need to give that little guy a brother or sister."

When T'Pol didn't object, Tripp pulled her in his arms. They helped each other disrobe. They just wanted to feel each other skin to skin. They had to reassure each other that they made it out alive and everything was going to be okay.
