T'Pol woke to see that Tripp was still sleeping. She got out of bed and headed for the shower. She had the water hot and sighed as all her aches and pains disappeared. She glanced down at her round belly and placed a hand there. Tripp's and her new baby was growing and today they were going to find out the sex of the baby and she had feeling that it was going to be a boy but Tripp thought that it was going to be girl. She was glad that they were growing like they should.
T'Pol felt someone wrap their arms around her. "She is a girl," Tripp whispered in her ear.
T'Pol turned her head to look at him. She could see the water falling on his face. "I think that you are wrong. This baby is a boy."
There was a light in Tripp's eyes at had T'Pol worried and his smile felt the same way. "Do you want to make a bet?"
"Vulcans don't make bets," T'Pol reached for her soap, hoping that Tripp would let her get back to showering in peace.
"Oh, I think you do," Nope, he didn't leave.
"Why don't you go and check on your son?" T'Pol said.
Tripp laughed and stepped out of the shower. "You are worried that I am right, and you would lose," T'Pol didn't say anything as Tripp left the bathroom, laughing.
T'Pol finished showering and dressing in peace. She entered the living space to see that Tripp and Charlie were up. Charlie came running up with a new toy that his grandparents sent him. "Mama," T'Pol got down on the floor with him. Soon she wouldn't be able to get up with the new baby. T'Pol saw Tripp throw her a look as he went to shower. She waved him off and turned back to Charlie.
After breakfast, Crewman Gomez came to take Charlie back to their quarters because they had an appointment with Phlox and then a meeting with the captain and Reed about the mole on the ship. They were no closer to finding the person than ending this war with the Romulans. T'Pol was ready for this war to be over because she felt that they weren't really living and only going through motions.
"It's a girl," Tripp whispered in T'Pol ear as they made their way to sickbay. T'Pol didn't say anything. "There is a fifty-fifty chance that we will have a boy or a girl."
T'Pol stepped into the lifts. "I am not going to make a bet with you."
"Why not?" Tripp watched T'Pol give him a look as the lift doors closed behind them.
T'Pol lips curved a little. Tripp knew that she was up to something. "It doesn't matter what we have I get name them."
Tripp narrowed his eyes because he knew that she was right. "What names are you thinking?" He asked.
"If it is a girl, T'Mir after my foremother," The lift stopped, and the doors opened. "If it is a boy, Paran after my father," T'Pol stepped off the lift. Tripp followed her. "And what would you name our daughter if you got to choose the name," T'Pol stopped in front of the sickbay doors.
"Emily, after my grandmother," Tripp said. He had nothing wrong with the names that T'Pol chose for their unborn child.
"Maybe next time," T'Pol entered Sickbay with Tripp following her.
Phlox came out of some corner and smiled at the couple. "Good morning, commanders," Tripp and T'Pol greeted the doctor before T'Pol took a seat on one of the bio beds. "Let's have a look and maybe they will show us who they are. If I remember last time, this is the time that we found out about Charlie."
"Yes," T'Pol leaned back on the bed. "Tripp wants a girl," T'Pol gave Tripp a look.
Phlox smiled at Tripp before doing a scan of T'Pol. He looked at a screen and saw that Baby Tucker was growing like their brother. This one wasn't afraid to show who they were going to be. Phlox looked back at the parents. "I will have to agree with Commander Tucker on this one. It looks like you are having a girl to join Charlie in the growing Tucker family."
"Yes," Tripp hissed. He leaned down and kissed T'Pol on the forehead. "I was right," He placed a hand on T'Pol's round belly. "Hello, T'Mir Tucker," He looked at T'Pol and smiled.
T'Pol returned his smile with a look that said so much to Tripp. She placed a hand over his. "Maybe next time for Emily."
Tripp gave T'Pol a look. "Next time."
T'Pol nodded. "I do not think that we are meant for only two children," Tripp laughed.
Phlox smiled at the couple because they seemed to forget that he was here. Phlox liked seeing T'Pol face soften when she was with Tripp or when she was with Charlie. Phlox knew that this little girl was going to be loved by both her parents.
"I will put T'Mir on the file and I will see you next month, T'Pol," Phlox spoke up reminding them that he was here.
"Yes," Tripp said. He helped T'Pol sit up. T'Pol got up the bed.
"Thank you, Phlox," T'Pol said as she headed for the door. Tripp threw Phlox a smile before following his wife. Tripp knew that Phlox saw a side of T'Pol that many people didn't see.
Tripp caught up with T'Pol at the lifts and knew not to say anything as they headed for Captain's ready room. He couldn't hide his smile because they were having a girl and he knew it. He didn't care about the names since they had Charlie named after him. This baby was going to be here before either one of them knew it. Tripp hoped that T'Mir looked like T'Pol because everyone said that Charlie looked just like him. He also hoped that she was just as healthy as Charlie.
They made it to the ready room and entered without ringing. Reed was already there with the captain sitting behind the desk. Tripp had made sure that the door was locked so no one could come in without them knowing.
Jonathan smiled at Tripp and T'Pol. "How was your appointment?"
"Everything looks good, and we are having a girl," Tripp couldn't hide his smile.
"Congratulations," Jonathan told his officers.
Malcom leaned closer to Tripp. "You are never going to let her date," Tripp threw him a look and ready to say something when T'Pol elbowed him in the stomach.
Both men stood straighter and looked at their captain. "Now that we got the good news out of the way," Jonathan ran a hand through his hair. "How are we going to get this mole out?"
"We have tried everything besides questioning everyone on the ship, but I don't see any of the crew doing this," Tripp folded his hands behind him.
"I agree with Commander Tucker," T'Pol said. "Most of the crew have been with us since the beginning. They have gone to fight the Xindi with us."
Jonathan and Malcom agreed with T'Pol and Tripp. "Do we have anyone new that came after our war with the Xindi?"
"Yes, several," T'Pol said. As first officer she would have this information.
"Do you have a list?" Jonathan asked.
"Yes," T'Pol picked up a PADD and logged in. Tripp tried to think when she had time to do this. Tripp watched as she pulled up the list and handed it to Jonathan.
"They all seem too young to be working for the Romulans," He handed the list to Malcom for him to overlook the list. Malcom agreed with the captain. He handed the list to Tripp.
Tripp looked over the list and thought that someone was missing on this list. He went down the list several times and he didn't see the name he was looking for. He looked back up and saw that everyone was looking at him. "I feel that you are missing one person on this list," He handed the list back to T'Pol.
She gave him a look for calling her out. "And who would that be?" She asked.
Tripp took a breath before answering her. "Your replacement," He glanced down at her round belly.
"Coffin?" Jonathan questioned. "You saw that he was shot in the back."
"That doesn't mean that he is dead," Tripp thought on it. "He was alive when we left him."
"They could be torturing him for the codes," Jonathan didn't like the sound of that.
"He was first officer for a short time, but how would he get the codes?" Malcom asked.
"He had the codes because he was the first officer. He was to be here for months because we had just found out about T'Pol pregnancy, and they wanted her on Earth for the birth. So, he would have been given the codes." Tripp glanced at everyone. He could see that no one believed him.
"You didn't like him," Jonathan said.
"Yeah, you could say that I didn't like him," Jonathan and Malcom both raised an eyebrow at him. Tripp sighed. "Yeah, I didn't like him because he was replacing T'Pol, but he helped us in the end. He fought by my side when we were recusing T'Pol and Charlie."
"So, you think they are torturing him for information," Jonathan said.
"That or he is giving it to them willingly," Tripp voiced what everyone was thinking. None of them liked that idea.
"I don't like that idea," Jonathan said in the quiet room.
"None of us do. Balab seemed rogue and could be selling the information to the Romulan government." T'Pol had spent most of the time with Balab and she felt that she got a good reading from him.
"And they would pay whatever he wanted," Malcom said. Everyone nodded.
"Let's change the codes and hope that I am not wrong with Coffin," Tripp said after some time leaving the others to their thoughts. "It will also help us find the mole if it isn't him."
Jonathan sighed and knew that Tripp was right. "Alright, we'll change the codes and hope that we find the mole or have the random attacks stop."
Everyone agreed to do this for two weeks before they started to leave the ready room. Tripp headed for engineering as the others headed for the bridge.
Two weeks later they met in the captain's ready room. Tripp glanced at his wife to see if she needed to sit down because over the two weeks it seemed like she got bigger. He leaned closer to her. "Do you want to sit down?" Tripp asked.
T'Pol threw him a look and Tripp took that as a no. He turned back to the captain. "It seems that changing the codes worked because the Romulans have attacked but once they realized that they couldn't get pass out shields they left."
Malcom smiled. "They also didn't like that we took out a few of their ships."
Jonathan and Tripp smiled. "No, they didn't."
"So, we have come to conduction that there is no mole on the ship," T'Pol said. Tripp knew that she wasn't happy with them. Tripp wanted to lean closer and tell her that she is married to one, but he didn't think that would go over very well and he would find himself sleeping on the couch tonight.
"I would agree with that," Jonathan frowned. "That only means that they are torturing him for information. They might just kill him because he isn't going to useful anymore."
Tripp didn't like that, but there was a part of him that thought that Coffin was giving them the information willingly. He didn't want to voice his concern because they would say that he doesn't like the man. Tripp had liked the man because he helped save T'Pol and Charlie from Balab. He just had a feeling that he had. Tripp tried to think what Coffin had to be involved with it the Romulans. Tripp didn't think that Coffin had anything against Starfleet. Tripp tried to think what would make him work with the Romulans. He glanced at T'Pol and knew all they would have to do was threaten his wife and kids. Tripp would kill for them.
"I'll contact Starfleet and let them know what was going on with Coffin and hopefully they will do something about it," Jonathan voice broke Tripp's thoughts. He looked at each of them. "Let's hope for the best and I want you to change your codes every couple of weeks until this war is over. I don't want another leak on the Enterprise."
They all agreed with him. Tripp escorted T'Pol back to the bridge. She threw him a look, but Tripp didn't care because he was worried about his family. T'Pol threw him a look before he left. Tripp made his way to engineering, he checked on everything before heading to his office. He sat behind his desk and stared at the computer in front of him.
The thought of Coffin doing it willingly had Tripp thinking. He knew that he would do it willingly if his family was involved. Tripp leaned forward and turned on the computer. He put his login information in, and the Starfleet symbol came on. He went to personal files. He typed in Coffin name and wondered what he would get.
He read the file and an answer came to him right away. Coffin had no family that would make him do it willingly. He wasn't married and didn't have any kids. Coffin was an only child, and both his parents were gone. Coffin emergency contact was a cousin on his mother's side of the family.
The thought didn't go away, but he had no one to talk to about this. Tripp turned off his computer and went back to work. He had engine room to run.
