OK...So this idea came to me and it won't let me go...Since in previous stories I established characters who don't have Marzipan's raw magical power being 'spirited away' during the Wrangler Invasion of Mizzer to somewhere safe, and that character was mostly just for the sake of exposition and was another example of early stories being to complex by half, I realized I could do a much better version of the story with the Battle Nexus being the placed the Humanimal Child being whisked away to...And as for why this Humanimal was saved but Marzipan...While she doesn't have Marzipan's Mage Monarch Ability which is similar to Twilight Sparkle in just being full of pure raw magical potential to do just about any kind of magic, this character seems to be a Mage of a very specific type, something that the powers that be knew the Wranglers could not get their hands on at any cost so best thing I could come up with was...Hypnotic ability the ability to hypnotize and mind control people with very little effort, and for what kind of animal this power should go to? Well I realized the most logical answer was a Snake taking inspiration from Kaa in Disney's Jungle Book but instead she's going to be the species most famous for dancing, the Cobra
Once upon a time...There was a planet called Mizzer, where humans lived alongside bio-engineered animals called Humanimals, Anthropomorphic Animals who can speak, wear clothes, live in houses and basically do everything that human beings can do! Planet Mizzer...Where the humans and Humanimals have been living like it's the 1990s for five thousand years!
And in this story we shall zero in on one Humanimal named Lotus Venomeye...She was a Snake, more specifically she was a Cobra...An Indian Cobra or Spectated Cobra whichever you prefer...They often get annoyed at humans thinking mostly of King Cobras which are technically not cobras at all they're closer related to mambas, the Venomeye family in particular took great pride that as true cobras their hoods were much fuller, made a nice heart shape when spread…
That said the normal reason for cobras to spread their hood is as a warning, on Mizzer most Cobra Humanimals spread their hood for performance like when acting for a movie...Because Mizzer was a supposed to be a place of peace where all species lived as brothers and sisters, also because what the hood is, is the snakes flattening their ribs, it's kind of hard to talk with the hood spread for extended periods of time…
There was no reason for Lotus' parents to have their hoods spread on the day Lotus finally hatched from her egg, (Most egg laying creatures and litter bearing mammals, as Humanimals normally have one egg/baby similar to humans, these creatures are slightly more likely to have twins or triplets or more rarely even more children in a multiple birth but like with humans such things are rare) And right away her parents could see she was perfect, absolutely perfect...She was thought she was the prettiest snake there ever was as she slept in her crib with her rattle clutched in her hand...So they gave her the best name they could think of...Lotus…
They lived in Sunshine City a suitably warm place for cold-blooded creatures like them, thus was where many tropical reptiles and amphibians lived located on the tip of Mizzer's Sunshine County which was the equivalent to Old Earth's Florida and Sunshine City was meant to be the equivalent of Miami...Why were they called 'Counties' instead of States? Well we shall get to that in a while, but for now, what you should know is that as per tradition, they lived in the Reptile/Amphibian District in the Humanimal Side of Sunshine City
Really each town and city on Mizzer was actually two as the Humanimals mostly lived separately from the humans, it had been decided long ago that the Humanimals would be divided into districts based on physical similarity. In the very center the Domestic Dogs and Cats each got a district to themselves divided by a diagonal line where, the Dogs got the North and West and the Cats got the South and East, next came the inner ring, the North was for the Livestock Mammal in all their varied breeds, to the Southeast was the Woodland Mammal District for wild mammals native to North America and Europe and the Southwest was the Tropical Mammal District for wild mammals native to everywhere else. Next the outer ring to the North the Bird District where all birds wild and tame went, and to the south the Reptiles and Amphibians...The Fish and certain other 'Water Peoples' like the Dolphins retreated to the waterways for their health because they needed to keep wet to stay healthy even if Humans gave the Fish People lungs to breathe air with like Amphibians seemed they needed to keep their skin wet to breathe, and then their were the Bugs Worms and other 'Creepy-Crawlies'
Most of the Vertebrate Humanimals forgot the Bugs even existed…
Lotus for her part seemed to live a charmed life…When she grew older she was practically the Princess of the School! Cobras are seen as 'Nobility' among the Snakes and then Lotus took up dance…
At the school dance it seemed everyone was held under a spell! Lotus thought she was just that good and everyone was just in awe of her but really they were all hypnotized by her dance!
So while in The Twilight Express we started with the TMNT before introducing the Mizzer OC I feel confident enough to introduce the Heroine and her world before we bring in the Turtles stuff
