Chapter Five: A healed Leg

"Now you try." Tarna's voice spoke as Alessia nodded her head. She pulled in from the Source and weaved with ease. For some reason it was easy for her to pull from the Source. She still wasn't sure why though. She moved her hands like she was shown. Creating a weave of air. A ball-like shape was now floating in her hand. She smiled and looked at Tarna.
"Not bad actually. On your first try as well." Tarna spoke with a smile.
"Teaching her simple weaves?" Moiraine's voice came as Alessia nodded with a light smile. It had been over a month since the funeral of the fallen sister. Since they no longer had to shield the man from the Power, they were able to shorten their journey now. Alessia had come to like the Aes Sedai more. She had gotten closer to Moiraine. There was just something about this woman she liked. Then there was Lillen. She wasn't treated fairly by the others. It didn't seem to bother Lillen but it bothered Alessia a lot. She has avoided that sister ever since that dream. She seemed to trust the sisters a bit more.
"Come with me. The others are waiting." Moiraine spoke as Alessia gave her a confused look. Tarna however was only smiling as they followed Moiraine out into the field. Seeing the other sisters and their warders there waiting. She stopped next to Moiraine who was smiling at her.
"This is a simple weave of air. Simple but it will show us your strength." Moiraine spoke as she showed Alessia the weave. Seeing a blast of air shot from the blue ajah's body. Alessia's eyes went wide at the blast. It sent wind everywhere as the sisters were clapping with smiles.
"Now. You try." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She then opened them. Looking around. Her eyes caught the dark brown ones as she quickly looked away. Everytime she was around that woman, her heart fluttered a little. She pulled in from the Source as she channeled. Recreating the weave Moiraine taught her. Releasing the energy as it blasted from her. Sending a shockwave all around her as the sisters fell off their feet as did the warders. There was a small crater in the ground where she was.
"By the Light!" Tarna spoke softly as she was getting off the ground. Alessia ran over to help the others up as well.
"I am so sorry!" She spoke. Repeating herself as she helped them up. She grabbed Liandrin's hand to help the woman up. Their eyes met as Liandrin was smirking at her. This made her blush and look away. The light blue eyes look as if she was looking right into Alessia's soul.
"No need to apologize. You are very strong." Liandrin spoke as she touched Alessia's shoulder. There was a look in her eye that she did not recognize.
"I agree with her." Lanfear then spoke. She was towering over Alessia now as she took a step back. Bumping into someone. She looked over her shoulder to see Lillen standing behind her. Lillen rested her chin on Alessia's shoulder. This sent a shock of electricity through her body from the simple contact. Feeling her heart race as she looked back at Moiraine who came to her rescue. Pulling Alessia gently by her arm as she followed the woman in blue. They made their way back to the camp which was now destroyed.
"By the Light. Moiraine Sedai, I am so sorry." Alessia replied with a frown.
"It's alright dear. Just help clean it up." Moiraine spoke softly. Alessia nodded her head as she quickly began.
"I'll do it myself. I apologize again." Alessia spoke as she began to clean up the camp. Folding up the tents to set in the wagon.
"What happened here?" Alanna's voice spoke as the others finally arrived.
"Alessia's power." Moiraine spoke with a smile. Alessia couldn't help but see the woman in blue smile with pride on her face.
"Ah. Well, the others have decided that as well as I have. We pack up camp and ride through the night. We'll make it to the Tower by morning." Alanna spoke.
"I told Moiraine I'd clean up myself. My damage is done. I'll pick up the pieces." Alessia spoke as she folded another tent up to pack up.
"Nonsense dear. The quicker we pack up, the quicker we get there." Alanna spoke as Moiraine touched her shoulder and nodded. She smiled at the woman before helping the others pack up the camp. Her leg was hurting by the time they were done. She was leaning against a horse while catching her breath.

"Alright everyone. Let's head home!" Alanna's voice shouted. There was a lot of cheering as Alessia saw a hand in front of her. It was Moiraine's. She grabbed it and climbed onto the horse. Resting her hands on both of Moiraine's sides. Feeling the horse move as they made their way down the stone roads. Alessia could feel eyes on her as she dared not look over her shoulder. She would surely find out about it sooner or later. Night had fallen as Alessia shivered a little. Wrapping the cloak tighter around her body for some warmth. They rode through fields, forests, across rivers and towns. Alessia yawned a few times but kept herself awake. Not wanting to fall asleep as they rode into the night. The sun was finally coming up as they slowed down. Alessia looked around the area and gasped. There she saw a large city but that wasn't what caught her eyes. The White Tower stood tall and large. Taking up the sight of the city.
"It's beautiful." Alessia spoke as she felt the goosebumps rising in her. It wasn't from the wind. Then she looked behind the city. A large mountain that had smoke coming from it.
"I think I've seen that mountain before." Alessia spoke softly.
"Tell no one." Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head as they rode back to the rest of the group. Alessia saw Tarna smiling at her. Giving her a nod as Alessia felt it hit her. She was finally going to Tar Valon and then to the White Tower. She felt a lot of emotions running through her as she tried to keep her head on her shoulders.
"Almost home!" Alanna shouted. Alessia could feel the excitement in the air from the others. She chuckled lightly at them.
"Are you happy to be back, Moiraine Sedai?" Alessia asked from behind the woman in blue.
"In some ways, yes. You get used to constantly going back and forth from the Tower. Home ends up becoming your horse. Your boots. Your cloak." Moiraine spoke. So, Moiraine was always constantly on the go. She couldn't help but feel a bit saddened at this. She wanted Moiraine to be her teacher. She had gotten used to the small lessons she had gotten from the woman in blue. The gates were in sight as Alessia started to feel excited herself.
"I'll be taking you straight to the Tower while my sisters show the city what happens to a murderer." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head.

They entered the city as Alessia gasped. Looking around the city. Seeing people line up in the streets. She felt uneasy about this. Never seeing this many people before in one place. She kept her head down.
"They're back from the battle?" A voice shouted.
"Is that girl a new Novice?" Another asked.
"Are people shocked to see new Novices?" Alessia asked over the crowd.
"Yes. The Aes Sedai have been greatly reduced over the many years due to mistrust. I think that non channelers believe that the White Cloaks are right. They believe it was our fault the Breaking had happened over six thousand years ago." Moiraine spoke as Alessia listened. It felt like a history lesson. "You will know more once you start at the Tower." Moiraine spoke.
"So, I can sign the book and start right away?" Alessia asked in a hopeful voice.
"No. Not yet." Moiraine spoke. Alessia was trying to figure out why she couldn't just start right away. They came to a stable area as she dismounted the horse.
"Why are the others not here?" She asked while looking behind her.
"The red and green are going to parade him down the road. Our scientists are going back to their tasks." Moiraine explained as Alessia nodded. She felt like an outcast before she even started living at the Tower.
"Will I be able to see my friends?" Alessia asked as she followed the blue ajah into the Tower. She stopped to take in the sights. Seeing many paintings along the walls. Vases full of flowers. Feeling her arm gently grabbed as Moiraine had noticed she stopped following her. She couldn't help but smile at everything she was seeing. Hearing laughter as she looked over and saw a garden area with a large statue in the center. It was covered with vines and flowers. She couldn't make out the laughs from the ladies that were talking in the garden. She turned her focus back to Moiraine as she followed the woman to another part of the Tower.
"This is the Warders quarters. You'll be safe here." Moiraine as Alessia set her bag down on the bed. Her leg was hurting from all the walking.
"Safe from what?" Alessia asked while eyeing the woman in blue.
"My sisters that we were traveling with. They had gotten a sense of how powerful you are. They are going to hound you into signing the book which we cannot allow yet." Moiraine then spoke.
"So, am I a prisoner?" Alessia asked with a frown.
"No." Moiraine replied.
"So, I am free to roam the Tower?" Alessia then asked.
"Also no. I cannot risk allowing you to wander the Tower." Moiraine spoke as Alessia scoffed at this.
"So, I am a prisoner." Alessia spoke as she crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. Looking out the window.
"You are not. Just. Just wait until the Amyrlin Seat comes back. Get changed. I want to show you something." Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head as Moiraine and Lan had left the room. Alessia opened her bag and put on a clean pair of clothes. Black slacks and a long sleeve white tunic. Putting on a black belt over her tunic to hold her pants up. She brushed her hair and just let it fall down without putting it up. She opened the door to see Lan there, still waiting.
"Follow me." He spoke with a smile. Alessia nodded her head. Hearing the crowd outside of the Tower as the man was being paraded. She followed Lan down the hallways and slowed down as her leg was hurting.
"Sorry." She spoke with a frown.
"It's alright. I could carry you." Lan offered as Alessia shook her head.
"No. I can do this. Just need to push through it." Alessia replied. She then pushed on. Following Lan back to the main part of the Tower as they came upon a large double door. Lan opened it for her.
"She's inside." Lan spoke as she nodded and went into the room. She gasped while looking around the large circular room.
"Welcome to the Tower Hall. This is where we hold the trials and meetings." Moiraine spoke as she was walking around Alessia in a circle. Alessia was taking in every detail. There were chairs in threes surrounding the room. She looked on the floor and saw different colors. One looked newer than the others. It was black and white. It seemed the floor might have been redone a few times over the years.
"It's amazing here." Alessia spoke as she looked back to the woman in blue who was smiling at her. Then her eyes went behind Moiraine as there was a larger seat.
"Is that?" Alessia asked while standing next to the woman in blue.
"The Amyrlin Seat? Yes. I know it's confusing to most to have a title that is the same as the name of the seat." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head.
"Come." Moiraine spoke.

She was then led back to the room she would be staying in. She sighed a little.
"Dinner will be soon. I shall have Lan bring you a plate." Moiraine spoke as Alessia shook her head. She was now looking out the window.
"No need. I'm not hungry." Alessia spoke softly. Moiraine gave her a look before taking her leave. It seemed the city went back to its usual day to day life. Carriages being pulled by horses. Alessia was trying to understand why they haven't advanced anymore than they were three thousand years ago after the Dragon cleansed the men's side of power. She sighed. Not caring about dinner. She felt the door was now locked. She frowned. She guessed Moiraine didn't trust her. She sighed and began to weave. Using air inside of the keyhole as she moved her hands around. Hearing a click of the lock. She was successful and left the room. She was walking slowly around the hallways. She stopped in one hall. It had several tall statues of men with their weapons.

"It seems you found the Warders quarters of the Tower." A familiar voice spoke as Alessia looked over her shoulder. Liandrin was walking up to her with a smile. Hands behind her back.
"I'm actually staying in one of the rooms for now." Alessia spoke as she felt an arm around her shoulder. She couldn't help but lean into the woman in red.
"How come?" She asked.
"No idea." She lied as Liandrin squeezed her in the side hug.
"These men. Guarding the Tower in death as they did in life. It represents the hundred thousands of men bonded with my sisters." Liandrin spoke.
"How come you don't have a warder?" Alessia asked while looking at her.
"Most of the reds still hold onto the tradition of not having them. We mostly do not see the point. For my red sisters that do have a warder are only using them to have more power. Any relationship with them is frowned upon unless you are in green." Liandrin explained.
"I can't wait to get started." Alessia spoke while looking at the statue.
"Signing your name tomorrow?" Liandrin asked.
"No. Moiraine said to wait for now." Alessia spoke softly.
"Did she say why?" Liandrin asked. It seemed this woman was trying to get information out of her. Alessia only shrugged her shoulders. Feeling her back rubbed.
"While you have freedom. The garden is that way and then the library is not far from it." Liandrin spoke before taking her leave.
"Liandrin Sedai." Alessia spoke as the woman in red turned to look at her. "Thank you." Alessia added. Seeing the woman smile at her. It was a smile she had never seen before. It made her blush as she quickly looked away.
"Maybe I'll take you under my wing." Liandrin spoke. Alessia smiled at this and nodded her head. Watching the woman leave as she decided to head towards the garden. She felt the moon's energy from above as she sat down on the bench. Looking up as she closed her eyes. There was a slight breeze in the air as she inhaled the fresh air.
"This is where you went." Moiraine's voice brought her back to reality as she looked back down. Seeing the woman in blue standing before her. "I specifically told you to stay put." Moiraine spoke in a firm voice. Alessia frowned at this. She felt her arm grabbed as she was being dragged away. Her eyes caught someone else's. It was the dark brown ones that were watching her. It seemed Lillen was in the shadows. Alessia frowned before looking back to the front.
"Moiraine Sedai, keeping me locked in a room is going to lose my trust in you." Alessia spoke softly with a frown. She was trying to keep up as her leg was hurting again.
"I am doing this for your protection." Moiraine spoke as Alessia yanked her arm free when she was back in the room. She sighed and sat down. Lan had placed a plate of food on the table near her. "Eat. Keep your strength up. Tomorrow I will bring you to my yellow sisters." Moiraine spoke. Alessia frowned and grabbed her bag and set it on the floor. Moiraine had left with Lan. Hearing the door lock again as she frowned. Curling up on the bed as her dinner went cold when she closed her eyes. Hoping sleep would come easily.

The morning sun had hit her face as she sat up. Stretching her arms and legs as she bent backwards to stretch her back. Hearing it pop in the right places. She hadn't changed her clothes as she sighed. Looking at the plate of food she didn't eat. She was being stubborn. She hated feeling locked up in the room. She started to pace. She needed a shower. She was hoping that Moiraine would at least allow her access to the library. Hearing the door unlock as Moiraine stepped into the room. Alessia was glaring at her now.
"I understand you are upset but try to understand that I need you safe." Moiraine spoke. Alessia sighed.
"Why?" Alessia asked while crossing her arms. Moiraine only gave Lan a look as he closed the door while leaving. Moiraine and took Alessia's hands into her own.
"Because I believe you may be the Dragon." Moiraine spoke. Alessia shook her head lightly at this.
"The Dragon hasn't been born again in a long time. Many believe that the Dragon will never be born again." Alessia spoke softly.
"I believe in the prophecy that others do not." Moiraine spoke as Alessia sighed a little. "Come. My yellow sister is waiting for you." Moiraine spoke as she then gently rested her arm around Alessia's shoulder to guide her out of the room. She was getting tired again from her leg as they climbed some stairs as she followed the woman in blue. Lan was behind her.
"My offer still stands." Lan spoke as Alessia shook her head.
"No." Alessia spoke. Trying to prove she wasn't weak. It was not long after when they made it to another side of the Tower. They came into a large room as she looked around. There were a few beds lined up on each side of the room. Each had a curtain for privacy.
"Here. Sit." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded. Taking a seat on one of the beds. Moiraine had come back with a woman in yellow.
"Hello dear. I'm Chesmal." The woman spoke as Alessia smiled weakly at her. "Let's have a look, shall we?" She asked. Alessia scooted up on the bed more and pulled up her pants. Revealing the scar on her leg. Chesmal weaved the power around her hand as she was moving her hand down Alessia's leg. Alessia held her breath a little.
"I see. The bone was not set correctly." Chesmal spoke as Alessia nodded.
"Mundane healing." Alessia spoke.
"She lived in a village before coming here. Their Wisdom was the one that healed her leg." Moiraine explained.
"I see. Give me a few moments. I will be right back." Chesmal spoke as she took her leave. Moiraine sat down on the edge of the bed near her. Alessia was looking around the room.
"I know you probably hate me right now. But what I did was to protect you." Moiraine spoke as Alessia looked into the deep blue eyes that belong to the blue ajah.
"I understand. Just doesn't mean I will be happy about it. But I don't hate you." Alessia spoke softly. Touching Moiraine's hand gently. She was surprised that Moiraine squeezed her hand gently. The door opened as Alessia sat up again. Seeing Chesmal walk back in followed by Lanfear and Lillen. Alessia felt her heart race at the sight.
"Her leg." Chesmal spoke as Lanfear was examining her leg using the One Power.
"I have exclaimed it already." Lillen spoke. That voice was just so calming! Once Lanfear was done, she walked over to the corner with Lillen and Chesmal. Moiraine stood up to walk over as well. Hearing them talking to each other.
"I'm right here. You can tell me." Alessia spoke while crossing her arms.
"Right. I apologize. We haven't done a bone correction like this before." Chesmal spoke.
"It's been a little over ten years since the break. The muscles." Alessia began.
"Won't be a problem." Lanfear interrupted her. "We can re-break your bone and heal it correctly. While in that process, we will be stretching the leg muscles to fit around the bone correctly while healing it as well." Lanfear explained.
"That sounds painful." Alessia spoke. Feeling her heart rate go up from hearing this.
"That is because it will be. This procedure hasn't been done before. That is why we have sister Lanfear and sister Lillen here to help." Chesmal spoke. "I will get another healer." She spoke as she took her leave. Alessia felt a slight panic and folded her hands in her lap. Squeezing her fingers between each other as she was avoiding any eye contact with anyone. Chesmal had come back rather quickly with another yellow.
"Shall we begin?" She asked.
"Wait. We're doing this now?!" Alessia asked in a panicked voice.
"Of course. How else are we going to know if it works or not?" Chesmal asked. Alessia could feel Lillen watching her closely.
"I..uh..very well." Alessia stuttered her words and sighed. Gripping the edge of the bed tightly. Moiraine was holding onto her shoulder.
"Shall we start?" Chesmal asked.
"Yes." Lanfear spoke as she and Lillen got into place as Chesmal and the other yellow were ready.
"On three." Chesmal spoke. "One." There was a loud crack as Alessia let out an ear piercing scream as her eyes were already letting tears fall. She laid back and bit her wrist rather tightly. Screaming as she could feel as if her leg was on fire as her muscles were being stretched as her bone was now reset. It was over in several moments. Feeling three different pairs of hands feeling her leg as her leg was now healed. Alessia leaned up and wiped her eyes clear of tears.
"Try standing." Chesmal spoke.
"Shouldn't she rest?" Moiraine asked. She was squeezing Alessia's shoulder.
"She's healed. I don't see why she needs to rest." Chesmal spoke. Alessia moved her legs off the bed and stood up. She could feel the immediate effect on her body. She gasped and smiled. She started walking slowly across the room and back. It didn't hurt at all. Her leg was perfect now.
"Thank you! All of you. I don't know what to say or how to pay you back." Alessia spoke as she gave all the women a bow.
"You can do so by becoming a Novice by signing your name in the book." Lanfear spoke. Alessia knew this woman had eyes on her as well.
"Come along." Moiraine spoke as she guided Alessia back out of the infirmary.

"Where are we going?" Alessia asked.
"Back to the room." Moiraine spoke. Alessia sighed at this.
"At least allow me access to the library or something?" Alessia asked.
"I cannot. You saw Lanfear. You heard her. She wants you to become a Novice right away. To get her claws in you I bet." Moiraine spoke. Alessia frowned at this. Liandrin had already told her that she wanted to take her under her wing. She blushed at the sight before sighing again as she was now back in the room she was in.
"I will be back to check on you. At least eat." Moiraine spoke. She pulled Alessia into a tight hug. The scent of Moiraine was overwhelming. She knew the woman was trying to protect her from her sisters but that could only go so far.
"How long am I to be locked up in here? I need a bath." Alessia spoke.
"Until I speak to the Amyrlin Seat. For now she is away from the Tower." Moiraine spoke.
"Can I at least see my friends?" Alessia asked. Feeling her eyes water.
"They are busy with their chores and classes. Maybe when there is time. For now. Rest." Moiraine spoke. With that, she left. The door locked again. She let out a frustrated sigh and sat back down on the bed. She waited for the footsteps to disappear. Then she got up and weaved air again. Unlocking the door. She looked around. It seemed Lan had gone with Moiraine. Alessia moved from the bedroom and began to wander the halls again. Hearing a bell toll across the Tower. Alessia had a feeling it meant something. She heard several voices laughing and chattering away as she hid behind a statue. Seeing many different colored Aes Sedai going about their day. She didn't see any Novices or Accepteds. She turned and bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry!" Alessia spoke as she gave the woman a bow.
"You've been avoiding me." Lillen's voice made her look up at the older woman.
"I'm not actually. Moiraine Sedai has me." She was cut off as Lillen pulled her into a room. She looked around as they were alone.
"Did you tell her about your dream?" Lillen asked. Alessia nodded her head.
"I didn't tell her about you. Was it you?" Alessia asked. The woman nodded her head. "How is that possible?" Alessia asked. She was now red faced. Lillen had taken a step closer to her. Hands behind her back as she was now in Alessia's personal space. She could smell Lillen's scent. The forest smell.
"I appreciate that and continue that." Lillen spoke. "There is much about this world you do not know about." Lillen added. Alessia felt heavy headed due to the closeness of this woman. 'Those eyes are beautiful.' Alessia thought before she shook her head and stepped back a little.
"I..I should go." Alessia stuttered her words before turning and left quickly. She was not out of breath as she made it towards the library. She made a mental note to thank Liandrin. Knowing full well that she was going to get into trouble with Moiraine. She pondered about the hallway. Hearing voices in a room that seemed to be a classroom. She moved quickly to avoid being seen as she stopped by a room. She gasped as she entered.

Thousands of books lined the walls and shelves of the large room. Alessia wondered if the Browns basically lived in the library. She was slowly walking along the shelves while touching the spines of the books with her finger tips.
"You lost?" A voice made her jump. Tarna came into view. "Ah. I was wondering where you went." Tarna spoke.
"How was the parade?" Alessia asked.
"As well as one can expect. I heard about the healing session. How is your leg?" Tarna asked as Alessia smiled.
"Painful but worth it!" Alessia beamed at this. She hopped about to show Tarna her leg.
"Wow. I am impressed." Tarna spoke. "How?" She asked.
"Well, Chesmal Sedai had Lanfear and Lillen Sedai come in to help since it was an experimental healing procedure." Alessia spoke as she went into details about it.
"That sounds like it was painful." Tarna spoke as Alessia chuckled and nodded her head.
"Oh believe me. It was." Alessia spoke. "Though worth it. Now I can run and climb stairs without it hurting! I'm so grateful." Alessia spoke. "I should probably head back before Moiraine hunts me down." Alessia sighed a little.
"What do you mean?" Tarna asked while raising a brow.
"Moiraine Sedai had me in a room and told me not to leave." Alessia spoke.
"That doesn't sound very nice." Tarna spoke. She nodded her head in agreement but she knew Moiraine didn't do it to be mean but to protect her. She still didn't understand what she was being protected from.
"Ah there you are." Liandrin's voice came. "Oh. Alessia. Nice to see you again." Liandrin spoke as she gently traced a finger across Alessia's jawline. She couldn't help but smile at the woman in red.
"Liandrin Sedai." Alessia spoke as she gave the woman a bow.
"Look at her. She knows her place." Liandrin spoke. She was smirking at Alessia like she was prey. Then it hit her. Liandrin wanted Alessia for personal reasons. Not knowing why but she understood Moiraine now.
"I should head back." Alessia spoke.
"Don't you want something to read? It sounds like Moiraine Sedai is keeping you locked up with nothing." Tarna spoke.
"Wait. Sister Moiraine is keeping Alessia locked up? Why?" She asked.
"No idea." Tarna spoke as Alessia shrugged her shoulders. She decided to not tell them the truth.
"Very well." Liandrin spoke as she was rubbing Alessia's arm. Handing her a book before taking her leave. Alessia held the book closely while watching the older woman in red leave. She was in awe at the woman's beauty. 'Shut up! Stop it!' Alessia shouted at herself.
"Well. Best get going." Tarna spoke as Alessia nodded her head.

She had quickly made her way back to the room she was supposed to be staying in. She closed the door and sat on the bed. Feeling her stomach growl but ignored it. Hearing the door opened.
"You left again." Moiraine spoke. Alessia frowned. She had forgotten to lock the door. She set the book aside. "Who gave you the book?" Moiraine asked.
"Liandrin Sedai." Alessia spoke softly. Moiraine made a movement and took the book. "Why can't I keep the book?" Alessia asked with a frown.
"You need to stay away from her. Especially her." Moiraine warned her as Lan set a plate of food on the table before taking his leave. Moiraine had followed Lan out of the room. Hearing the door lock again. She sighed and went over to the table. Eating her food in silence. She had no book to read now. She was starting to get really upset with Moiraine. She didn't need protection from anyone. Once she finished her food, she went over to the door and weaved at it. Grabbing the doorknob and turning it. It was still locked. She sighed in frustration again. Walking over to the window and opening it. Looking down and saw that it was a long fall down to the ground. She looked around. There was nothing to grab onto or to climb out.
"Still locked in?" Tarna's voice came as Alessia looked to her left. She nodded her head as she saw the red ajah.
"She took the book Liandrin Sedai gave me. Told me to stay away from her." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"I wonder why Moiraine is being so protective of you." Tarna spoke.
"No idea. I can't stay locked up in here forever." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"Here. I am going to toss over a book to you." Tarna spoke as Alessia was now halfway out of the window. Watching the woman toss the book. Alessia caught it with a smile.
"Thank you!" Alessia spoke with a smile.
"Have a good read. Hopefully she'll let you out." Tarna spoke. Alessia nodded with a smile as she watched her friend leave. Was Tarna her friend? It seemed like the only one who was being friendly. Well, Lillen was as well. There was an odd aurora around that woman. It made her curious about her. She closed the window and sat down on the bed. The sun was already setting now. It seemed like most of her day was locked in the room. She was going to give Moiraine a piece of her mind the next time she saw the woman. She was having a hard time trying to figure out what Moiraine was protecting her from. The other Aes Sedai didn't seem to be pushy on her. Well, Liandrin was the only one who showed interest in her. Alessia wanted Moiraine to be her teacher as well but so far, the blue ajah was losing her trust. She set the book into her bag to hide it. She blew out the candles and crawled into the bed again. She was grateful for what Moiraine did for her today on her leg. Maybe she needed to trust Moiraine a bit more? Did she have a motive? She pushed the thoughts aside as she sighed again. Trying to fall asleep.
