Chapter Six: Rings returned
Alessia sighed while pacing around the room. She was tired of staying locked up in the room. She banged on the door a few times to see if anyone would let her out. Frowning each time she was unsuccessful. Not even Lan was outside of the door. Sitting on the bed as she felt like a caged bird. She walked over to the window and opened it again. Looking around to see if anyone was around so she could get their attention. No one was in sight. She decided to change into different clothes. This time black slacks and a red blouse that buttoned up. Sighing as she put her hair halfway up. Hearing a knock on her door as she quickly moved over to it.
"Alessia? Are you there?" It was Tarna's voice.
"Yes!" Alessia spoke. She then took a step away form the door as she heard the lock click.
"See. I told you. Moiraine Sedai has her locked up." Tarna spoke as the door flung open. There stood Tarna and Liandrin. "Hello! Are you hungry?" Tarna asked as Alessia nodded her head.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you." Alessia spoke with a smile. Tarna smiled and took Alessia by the arm.
"Come. Time for your official tour." Tarna spoke as Alessia smiled. Feeling a gentle hand on her arm as it was rubbed. There was a small hint of blush on her cheeks as she quickly looked away.
"Let me know if you need anything." Liandrin spoke as she took her leave. Alessia couldn't help but watch the older woman take her leave. Feeling her cheeks flushed a little.
"You've seen the library and garden right?" Tarna asked as Alessia nodded her head.
"I have, yes. The Tower Hall as well." Alessia spoke with a smile.
"Speaking of which, the Amyrlin Seat came back today and is requesting us here soon. You as well." Tarna spoke as Alessia looked at Tarna.
"Why would she want to see me?" She asked.
"Well. You gave us all a sense of how strong you are. Maybe that's why she wants to meet you?" Tarna asked as Alessia shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm nothing special." Alessia spoke with a smile. She had her hands behind her back while looking around. She was able to walk easily now and she was truly grateful. Seeing the many different colored Aes Sedai again as she smiled. She stopped and leaned over the rail. It looked like they were on the third floor now.
"See something you like?" Tarna asked as she leaned against the rail as well. Watching Alessia.
"Why did Liandrin have to go? She did not want to join us?" Alessia asked while looking at Tarna.
"Catch a liking to her, did you?" Tarna asked in a teasing voice. Alessia rolled her eyes with a smile. It was true, she had come to like Liandrin a lot. The woman was protective over her sisters and what not.
"Her and Lillen Sedai both seem nice." Alessia spoke as Tarna quickly covered her mouth. Alessia raised a brow at her.
"Shush. Don't let anyone hear you speak about sister Lillen." Tarna whispered. Odd.
"Why?" Alessia asked as she was then pulled into a private room.
"No one likes her. She's insane. Stay away from her." Tarna spoke. Alessia was confused.
"You have to tell me this in secret, why?" She asked.
"Don't want anyone overhearing us. She keeps to herself mostly. Though she does watch the Novices and Accepteds just like everyone else." Tarna spoke.
"Well, I think she's alright." Alessia spoke.
"Just don't let anyone hear you say that." Tarna spoke. Alessia was still very confused at this but shrugged her shoulders anyways. "Come along." There is much more to see." Tarna spoke as she changed the subject. Alessia shrugged and followed the red ajah out of the empty room.
Alessia and Tarna were sitting on a bench in the garden while eating a sandwich. Talking and laughing from stories as Alessia saw a flash of blue.
"Oh no." Alessia spoke as she stood up. Moiraine had found her as she was storming towards her.
"How did you get out? You were told to stay put." Moiraine spoke in a calm voice but it was terrifying as well.
"Sister Liandrin and I let her out. I was showing her around the Tower." Tarna spoke.
"That was not for you to do. She is under my care." Moiraine spoke while watching Tarna.
"She's not a child, Moiraine Sedai." Tarna spoke. "If anything, she should be part of this Tower by now. Be in classes with the others." Tarna added. Alessia frowned at this.
"And she will be. Come along Alessia. The Amyrlin is waiting for you." Moraine spoke as Alessia looked at Tarna who nodded her head. She felt the woman in blue wrap an arm around her shoulder and guided her away.
"You have me worried. I searched all over for you." Moiraine spoke. Alessia frowned at this.
"You locked me up, Moiraine." Alessia spoke as she crossed her arms. The woman in blue stopped as they were alone in the hallway. Feeling both of her cheeks cupped gently as Moiraine looked into her eyes.
"Believe me when I told you that my sisters are going to dig their claws into you. You are not ready for Tower politics. They will eat you alive. Each of my sisters here have all their own goals and agendas." Moiraine spoke.
"So, you isolate me in that room. Alone?" Alessia asked.
"You're right. I should have not done that. I hope you can forgive me for that. You can stay in my room if you wish." Moiraine then spoke. Looking into those deep blue eyes before looking to the side and sighed. She wasn't mad anymore. How Moiraine had this effect on her, she didn't know. Feeling Moiraine wrap her arm around her shoulder again as she was led down to the ground floor where the Tower Hall was.
"What do I do?" Alessia asked as they stopped in front of the double doors. Seeing Liandrin and Alanna there as well. Alanna smiled and winked at her as Liandrin only smiled before turning to face the doors.
"Don't speak unless spoken to. Bow once she faces us when she sits down. Address her as Mother." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head. Watching the blue ajah walk over to speak to Alanna. Liandrin had taken this opportunity and approached Alessia. She smiled at the woman in red.
"No need to be nervous." Liandrin spoke as she put a strand of hair behind Alessia's ear and let her finger trace down her jawline. "You are here because she wishes to meet you dear." Liandrin spoke softly. Alessia couldn't help but smile at the woman. Her light blue eyes looked right into her soul. Hearing more footsteps as several Aes Sedai came into the hallway. Alessia felt Liandrin pull her to the side. Alessia's eyes caught a pair of dark brown ones. Lillen locked eyes with her. She smiled at the older woman who smiled back before turning her focus back to the front. It seemed they were the sitters of the Tower. Hearing a loud clang from the other side of the doors.
"You may enter." A woman in blue spoke. She was tall and slender. Long black hair in a perfect low pony.
"Come along dear." Liandrin spoke as Moiraine quickly pulled Alessia away with an arm around her shoulder. Alessia frowned while looking at Liandrin. The woman in red looked upset but kept her composure as they entered the Hall. Alessia then stood behind Moiraine. Looking around to see three of each ajah in the seats. Lanfear was sitting next to Lillen and another woman she hadn't met yet.
Hearing the doors on the other end opened as everyone stood up. Alessia was looking over Moiraine's shoulders and saw a woman walk in.
"The Watcher of the Seals. The Flame of Tar Valon." The woman spoke as Alessia was watching a woman in a gold and white robe as she turned. The woman has dark fair skin and beautiful chocolate brown eyes. Alessia looked at Moiraine who had this look on her face as if she was mesmerized by this woman. There was something in that woman's eyes that she did not understand. She bowed when everyone else did. The woman then sat down. Then the Sitters all sat down. Alessia looked around the Hall again before looking back up front.
"You were to bring back the man to face a trial for murder from using the One Power. Where is he?" The woman spoke. Alessia felt goosebumps rise on her arms as the doors opened. Seeing the man Logain in chains as the guards sat him down in front of the Amyrlin Seat.
"Why is this man chained? A threat he is not." The woman spoke. Seeing the Tower guards took off his chains.
"Logain Ablar. You are accused of murdering innocent people using the Power. How do you plead?" The woman asked while looking at him. She was so calm and collected. Alessia had no idea how she could do that.
"What I have done was for the better of the world." He spoke. Alessia frowned at his words. "That the Aes Sedai are to be no more. I had an army at my back when I said I was going to throw you from your throne. What will the people say when one man stood up to seven mighty Aes Sedai and stuck that green bitch to the wall." He spoke before laughing. There were several gasps as Alessia gasped as well. She felt angry at this.
"He is mad." Alessia heard whispers in the Tower. The woman in blue hit the staff on the floor. Hearing the man speak again as Alessia's eyes trailed around the front of the Hall again. Her eyes locked the dark brown ones again. Lillen was watching her. Alessia blushed and quickly looked down to her feet.
"You shall spend the rest of your days being studied by our brown ajah sisters until they decide what to do with you." The woman spoke. Watching the man helped onto his feet as he was shouting curses at them. Frowning at this before sighing a little.
"Approach daughter." The woman spoke as Moiraine touched Alessia's shoulder. She looked up and walked up slowly. "What is your name dear?" She asked.
"Alessia Solace, Mother." Alessia spoke softly and gave the woman a bow.
"Such a beautiful name, daughter. Where are you from?" She asked.
"Andor, Mother." Alessia replied.
"I heard daughter Moiraine found you in the Two Rivers." She spoke.
"Yes mother." Alessia replied.
"Were you able to channel before you arrived in the Two Rivers?" She asked.
"Yes, mother." Alessia spoke softly. She was starting to frown.
"What happened to you after that day?" She asked. She was trying to get information out of Alessia. She didn't like where this was going. "Actually, I will send for Moiraine to collect you at a later time today." She spoke. Alessia nodded and stepped back a little. She felt uneasy about this. She just wanted to escape the Hall right now and absorb it into a book.
"Liandrin. Alanna. Moiraine. Approach." The woman spoke. Alessia watched all three women walk up towards her slowly.
"This man deserved a trial. Not battlefield justice." The woman spoke.
"But you didn't see what he did to her!" Liandrin spoke loudly. Alessia could hear the hurt in her voice. She wanted to move up and hug the woman but she kept her place. "Forgive me mother." Liandrin then spoke as she was looking to the side up at the ceiling.
"I agree with Liandrin, mother. If he wasn't gentled, he would have taken more lives." Alanna spoke softly. There were gasps. Alessia raised a brow and looked around the Hall. It seemed the colors didn't defend each other?
"I also agree, mother. We Aes Sedai are too few now." Moiraine spoke as the woman banged her staff to get the Hall to calm down.
"He was getting stronger, mother." Alanna spoke softly.
"Our laws are to protect us from the people. Not to protect our comforts." The Amyrlin spoke. "You were the next person in charge after Kerene had fallen. As a red you should have kept to the Tower law and brought him here. I shall think of your punishment and tell you tomorrow. You have something more to say daughter?" She asked while looking at Liandrin.
"I'm surprised mother. That you don't care about the girl." Liandrin spoke as she waved at Alessia. "That she is the strongest channeler the Tower had seen in over three thousand years. Moiraine failed to bring her to us a few times." Liandrin spoke.
"Is there a point?" The Seat asked.
"Trollocs attacked the Two Rivers. Followed us to the camp. Moiraine did not tell us. Shadowspawn have been reported in the Tear. Then this man gained an army to follow him to attack the Tower." Liandrin spoke.
"Moiraine Sedai. What was the purpose of your travels?" The woman then asked.
"I cannot say mother." Moiraine spoke softly.
"In the last few years, where have you traveled?" She asked.
"From the Tear to the Two Rivers." Moiraine spoke.
"I ask again, what was the purpose of your travels?" She asked Moiraine again.
"Forgive me mother. I cannot say." Moiraine spoke. Alessia had thought that Moiraine was searching for the new Dragon who many had believed would never be born again.
"You dare challenge me?! On your knees!" The woman shouted as Alessia felt her blood turn cold from the tone. She watched as Moiraine was on her knees.
"I will not ask again!" She shouted again.
"Forgive me mother." Moiraine spoke.
I want your head and lips on the marble floor as you beg your mother for mercy!" The Amyrlin shouted. Alessia frowned as Moiraine bowed to the woman. "I shall think about your punishment and let you know tomorrow as well. You all may leave in the Light." The woman spoke. Alessia bowed to her with the others before walking out with the others. She leaned against the wall with her hand on her chest as her heart was pounding rather hard and fast.
"You alright?" Lanfear's voice made her look up and nod her head rather quickly. Lillen was next to Lanfear while watching her closely.
"Yes, Lanfear Sedai. Just intimated." Alessia spoke truthfully. That woman seemed like someone you should never cross.
"She's fair and just. Don't let it frighten you." Lanfear spoke before taking her leave. Alessia looked at Lillen and gave her a small bow.
"Come. Lets get your name signed in the book." Lillen spoke as she touched Alessia's shoulder. Alessia mumbled her words while watching the woman. Then out of nowhere Moiraine pulled Alessia to the side.
"Come along dear." Moiraine spoke as she guided Alessia away from Lillen who was now frowning. Alessia felt her heart sting a little from this.
"May I speak to Liandrin Sedai?" Alessia asked softly.
"Why would you want to speak to her?" Moiraine asked.
"To see if she is alright." Alessia replied.
"This Tower is going to eat you alive." Moiraine spoke to her in a warning voice. Alessia huffed and crossed her arms as she was guided to a different floor this time. She was gently pushed into a room. It was much larger than the one she stayed in. The bed had blue pillows and blankets. The curtains were blue as well. The room was also nearly plain as well. It seemed it was only needed items.
"Did you grab her things?" Moiraine asked Lan who nodded his head.
"She had this book." Lan spoke while handing it to Moiraine.
"How did you get this book?" Moiraine asked while looking at her.
"Tarna Sedai gave it to me to read yesterday." Alessia spoke.
"I fear the reds are after her." Moiraine spoke to Lan who bowed before taking his leave.
"May I have the book back?" Alessia asked with a frown.
"No."Moiraine replied.
"You're being very distrusting Moiraine!" Alessia nearly shouted. "Locking me up like some kind of bird! Not allowing me to keep myself entertained!" She added. Moiraine was now standing in her personal space.
"You are not respecting me when I told you to stay away from my sisters and to stay put in your room. How can I trust you if you don't listen to me?" Moiraine asked. It felt like a slap in the face. She frowned and stepped back. Looking down to the ground. Was Moiraine right?
"I just wanted to see the Tower and my friends." Alessia spoke weakly. "You won't even allow me to have a tiny bit of freedom." She added. She sighed while looking back at Moiraine.
"I am sorry for making you feel that way." Moiraine replied while cupping both of Alessia's cheeks. "Siuan wants to have a word with you here soon. You should bathe and change into more decent clothes." Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head lightly as she grabbed her bag. Moiraine took her bag and set it down. "I'll get you a change of clothes. For now, follow me." The woman in blue spoke as Alessia nodded. Following Moiraine back out of the room and down the hallway. They entered a large empty room that had a square looking tub built in the floor. Moiraine went and turned it on. Allowing the tub to fill.
"Get washed up. Not many come to this washroom. I will grab you some clothes." Moiraine spoke. She watched the woman in blue take her leave, followed by Lan. Alessia sighed and began to strip. She wondered why the Amyrlin wanted to talk to her. She felt intimidated by her already after what happened in the hall. It sounds like a lot of nonsense but knowing full well, she was going to learn the Tower laws as well. She slowly walked into the tub and felt the hot water against her skin as she sighed in relief. Sitting down as she relaxed a little. It was not long when Moiraine had come back. Alessia covered herself up before turning her back towards Moiraine so she could start washing herself clean. She dunked her head under to wash her hair. She was being quick. While squeezing out the excess water from her hair as Moiraine weaved air. Feeling a slight rush of air as her hair was dried.
"That was cool." Alessia spoke softly as she grabbed a towel. Wrapping it around herself. Waiting on Moiraine to leave but the woman only turned around. Alessia quickly got dressed. She was wearing a white sleeveless blouse and black slacks. Putting on the boots with a small sigh.
"Everything alright?" Moiraine asked as Alessia nodded her head.
"Yes. Just waiting to sign my name in the book." Alessia spoke. She was brushing her hair as Moiraine came up from behind her.
"Here. Let me." Moiraine spoke as she took the brush. Gently brushing Alessia's hair before she starts working on it. Putting up halfway as she twisted the sides of her hair
"Thank you." Alessia spoke softly. "Doesn't mean I forgive you." She added as Moiraine chuckled.
"I'll earn that forgiveness. Don't worry." Moiraine spoke as she patted Alessia's cheek gently. "Come along. She isn't going to be waiting." Moiraine spoke as she guided Alessia out of the washroom.
It was not long when she found herself climbing the stairs in the Tower behind Moiraine. It seemed they went to the very top of the tower as Alessia took a deep breath to catch her breath.
"Why is her room at the very top?" Alessia asked as she was leaning against the wall for a minute.
"It has always been this way. The top only has one room so we thought it was fitting for the Amyrlin." Moiraine explained as Alessia nodded her head as she pushed herself off and followed the woman in blue again. Seeing her knock on a door.
"Come in." The voice spoke as Moiraine opened the door. Alessia followed her inside as the door was closed behind her.
"Is this her Moiraine?" The woman spoke as Moiraine bowed to her. Alessia was looking at the woman who was wearing a brown gown. "My name is Siuan Sanche. I am the Amyrlin Seat. You can call me Siuan today." The woman spoke as Alessia gave the woman a bow. "Tell me your story my dear." The woman spoke as she waved to a chair near her. Moiraine however was getting the tea ready. Alessia sat down near Siuan while watching the woman carefully.
"I um. Was born in Andor. Live with my parents. I made a friend, Jane. She is here now. This was about ten years ago. I met Moiraine, Liandrin, Lanfear, and Lillen Sedai all on the same day. I overheard my parents talking about me channeling and needed to be kept hidden from the Tower. When I heard this, I ran off to Jane's home. That's when I met Liandrin, Lanfear, and Lillen." Alessia spoke. Realizing there were a lot of names with the letter 'L' in them. "I told Jane what my parents had said and she told her father. That's when they heard. My parents told me to grab a bag as we left. My father put this bracelet on me and told me to never take it off. We ran into Whitecloaks. I woke up to see my parents burned at the stake. I channeled that day and destroyed the camp. I found several serpent rings and took them with me." Alessia spoke as Moiraine interrupted her.
"You found serpent rings and did not tell anyone?" Moiraine spoke.
"I told Liandrin Sedai. She wanted me to bring them to a fire." Alessia spoke.
"I see. Continue, daughter." Siuan spoke.
"I ran from the White cloaks that had survived the blast. There was a cliff and a river at the bottom. I jumped off into the river. Breaking my leg in the process. I let the river carry me down as I arrived into the Two Rivers. Nynaeve healed my leg to the best of her ability. I couldn't walk properly. At sixteen that's when Moiraine and the other sisters came to the Two Rivers. Taking Nynaeve with them. I still couldn't channel. By the time I turned twenty, Moiraine was passing through. That's when the sky shattered and the bracelet somehow fell off. That's when the Trollocs attacked. I assume you know the rest from there?" Alessia asked as Siuan nodded her head.
"Moiraine told me that she believes that you are the Dragon?" Siuan asked as Alessia nodded her head. "Tell no one. We need to be sure. Don't worry dear. You will become a Novice soon." The woman added as Alessia nodded her head lightly. Feeling a hand touch her shoulder.
"Let's take those rings to the fire. Lan. Could you grab them from her bag?" Moiraine asked as Lan nodded his head and took his leave. "Come with me." Moiraine then spoke. Alessia stood up and gave Siuan another bow before following the woman in blue out of the room. She could hear her footsteps against the marble floor as they made their way down another hallway. They entered another room that had no walls and up ahead was a woman in red. Long honey blonde hair as Alessia knew who it was. Liandrin turned around to see them.
"We lost a sister last night." Liandrin spoke as Alessia could hear the sniffling from her.
"Who?" Moiraine asked.
"Nissa. Lost during her Accepted test." Liandrin spoke. She turned back around as Alessia approached her. Watching the woman in red drop a ring into the molten gold that was circled around the fire.
"Why are you here?" Liandrin asked.
"I've come to return the rings." Alessia replied.
"Ah. I remember." Liandrin spoke as Lan came back and found them. Alessia was handed her bag as she opened the small pouch. Pulling out the chain. Liandrin took some of them as Moiraine took the others. Taking the stones out as Alessia was handed the stoneless rings. She took a deep breath. Closing her eyes as she prayed to the mother. To welcome home her daughters. She dropped each one by itself into the melted gold.
"To each sister who lost their life to protect others. May the mother welcome you home." Alessia spoke as she finished. She took a step back as she watched Liandrin and Moiraine send their prayers as well. Alessia gently touched Liandrin's hand while looking into the fire. She felt her hand was grabbed gently and squeezed. She blushed a slight bit and sighed with a frown.
"Come along." Moiraine spoke as she finished. Wrapping an arm around Alessia's shoulder and guiding her away from the fire. Alessia looked over her shoulder to see Liandrin watching them before turning back to look into the fire.
"I brought dinner to your room. For you both." Lan spoke. Moiraine smiled at him.
"Thank you Lan. If you wish to send prayers. You are welcome to." Moiraine spoke. Lan bowed and took his leave. Alessia followed Moiraine back down the stairs. It was definitely easier to go down the stairs and not run out of breath.
"Is he alright?" Alessia asked.
"He is still upset with the loss of his friend Stephin." Moiraine spoke.
"Stephin? Kerene's warder? I thought he was alive?" Alessia asked with a frown. The man always seemed to be in great spirits and now hearing this made her sad.
They entered the bedroom that belongs to Moiraine. Seeing the food as it made her stomach growl. Hearing a chuckle as Alessia rolled her eyes.
"What happened to him?" Alessia asked as she sat down. Moiraine was across from her. She began to eat slowly.
"He took his own life. Warders don't live long after their Aes Sedai passes. It's extremely rare to live longer than the Aes Sedai they bonded with." Moiraine explained as Alessia nodded her head.
"I don't want a warder." She spoke softly.
"Why do you say that?" Moiraine asked as she was drinking her tea.
"I couldn't imagine putting someone through that." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"It is an honor for someone who wants to be a warder. They are trained to fight and protect the sister they bond with. There is no closer bond than the Aes Sedai and their warder and the bond between an Aes Sedai and her lover." Moiraine spoke as Alessia raised a brow at Moiraine.
"There are two types of bonds?" Alessia asked.
"There are many different types. These two are the strongest." Moiraine replied as Alessia nodded her head as she was now eating again.
"How did you and Lan meet?" Alessia asked with a smile. "Was he here training at the Tower?" Alessia asked.
"No. I followed him for a few days. Watching him. Told me how much he hated the Shadowspawn and Trollocs and anything that had to do with the Dark even though this was several years ago. The threats of the Dark One were nonexistent. I went up to him to speak to him near a pond. He tossed me over his shoulders and threw me into the water." Moiraine spoke with a chuckle. Alessia managed to smile at this. "Told me that it was unwise to go in between a man and his sword." Moiraine added as Alessia snorted at this.
"Are all warders men?" Alessia asked with a curious look.
"No. There had been many women as well. Ever since a woman became a warder about three thousand years ago. She was formidable. It inspired many other women back then." Moiraine spoke as Alessia smiled. Truth be told, she didn't like men. Maybe a female warder would be nice. She put the thought to the back of her head as she finished eating and smiled.
"This was good. Thank you." Alessia spoke as she started drinking her tea.
"There will be more in the future. Speaking of. When I call upon you, you must come." Moiraine spoke as Alessia sighed.
"I won't have a choice, will I?" She asked.
"No. We need answers. The only way to know for sure is to bring you with me. There is someone I need to speak to and she has to take a look at you for the answer." Moiraine spoke. Could this woman speak in any more riddles than she already did?
"So, I have to stay in your room until we leave then?" Alessia asked with a frown.
"Yes. We are leaving tomorrow. I don't want you leaving this room." Moiraine spoke. Alessia rubbed her cheeks and frowned.
"Can I at least go to the library?" Alessia asked. She already knew the answer.
"Fine. I'll have Lan watch you." Moiraine spoke. That was a shock. She never expected Moiraine to let her go with that.
"Thank you." Alessia spoke softly.
"I am trusting you to not run off. You will have your meals in this room. Only to leave for the library and nowhere else." Moiraine spoke firmly.
"That is all I ask for." Alessia spoke with a smile. Moiraine took her hand and squeezed it. Alessia returned the squeeze.
"We need to trust each other." Moiraine then added. Alessia nodded her head.
"I do trust you. In certain things, yes." Alessia spoke as the woman in blue chuckled lightly.
"I want you to able fully trust me. Especially if I am to be one of your teachers." Moiraine spoke as Alessia gasped lightly.
"You're going to be teaching me?" Alessia was now beaming.
"Yes. If you are truly the Dragon, you will need the best teachers. Not only for weaving but other things." Moiraine spoke.
"I still feel like I am going to be falling behind." Alessia spoke with a frown now. Watching Moiraine stand up to change her clothes. Alessia looked away quickly to give the woman privacy. She was then handed a white gown. Alessia changed into the gown and folded the clothes Moiraine had for her.
"Keep those. For now." She spoke as Alessia put the clothes into her bag.
"So, am I returning to the warder room?" Alessia asked.
"No. Share my bed dear." Moiraine spoke. It sounded so intimate. She walked over and crawled into bed. Laying on her side away from Moiraine as she blew out a candle. Relaxing against the soft bed and smiling. Feeling an arm pull her close to Moiraine. She didn't protest because she was too tired. It seemed sleep had taken over her rather quickly.
