The arrived in Rome and Christian decided to take Ana to Tuscany for two weeks

"We can see the castles that were turned into wineries and some of them were made into hotels. We can see the elegant cypress trees and cascading hills and sprawling vineyards."

Ana brings a carafe of coffee and cups on a tray into the library.
Everyone has their coffee and are sitting down with a cinnamon roll.

"Well it is nothing bad. We just talked about GEH last night. I am all for Christian opening it back up. The thing is he was talking about moving it out of Seattle and down south."
"Yes we know he wants to start it back up but not about moving it."
"I just thought about last night when I was talking to Ana about it. I am not sure now after the talk we had. I think I will start it back up in Seattle. Not right now, maybe later in a year or so. "This is true son. I believe that the people you had working for you before that you gave severance checks to will not want to uproot their families and move to the south."

"Plus it would take months and months to get everything moved and taken care of. There are financial considerations not to mention the legal jargon you would have to go through. It will be time consuming son. I am not saying you couldn't do it but I don't think it would be feasible to move it to the south."
"What if I wanted to have a satellite-based in the south?"
"That is possible and could work."
"I will think about that. Now you have told me the same thing Ana did so I will keep GEH in Seattle. When the time comes for us to reopen it we will let you both know. I am going to have to train the guys you both told me about and feel comfortable and trust them."
"Absolutely you will they know this. They know what you have been through. What you both have been through. I would not take my word that they are brilliant and know what to do. This is your company and they will have to follow your rules. Ray and I just recommended them to you."
"You are a smart man Christian and you know what you want and how you want things done. You take all the time you need to figure out when you want to reopen GEH. we are here for both of you, never doubt that."
"We know that Ray and thank you both. Well love, we are keeping GEH in Seattle and when I reopen it I will be reopening the London office too."

"Now let's go sightseeing and hopefully Elliot didn't eat all the cinnamon rolls."

They all walk in the family room and everyone is sitting around talking and still drinking coffee.

"Alright, thank you. Now where else are we going? I am sure y'all have already picked the places so Dav could make the arrangements with the guys."
"Yes Annie Rose we have. We are going to the Tuscany winery and the vineyards to stomp grapes to make wine."
"Then sweet girl we are going to Florence and do some food tours and cooking classes if anyone wants too. We are going to sample gelato and bring some with us. They have containers to put it in so it will not melt."
"We are going to do the food tours and all last."
"Ana, my best friend, then we are going shopping and out to eat."
"Ana and Christian you both are going for a ride on a Vespa tour with Paula and I. Anyone else wants to come, you are more than welcome."

"Ana, Jason and I thought we all could take a tour of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore since the rest of the family didn't get to see Notre-Dame Cathédrale. What do you say?"
"I think that will be a wonderful tour for everyone to see."

"No, I'll wait until we go to Rome. There is plenty to do here."
"Well is that all for today? That is a lot might not get all done in one day. You all do know we are only about forty miles from Florence?"

"Good cause the guys are here."
As they walk out the doors to the waiting cars. They are all introduced to the family and vice versa.
They all get in the cars and head into town to the winery first.
"Come on Annie Rose, I want to taste some wine and go to the vineyards to stomp on some grapes. This is going to be so much fun."
"Ms. Steele, where would you all like to go first?"
"I believe the winery to taste wine and the vineyards so we can stomp some grapes. Would that be alright to do first on our list? Here, look at the list and tell me if we are going to be backtracking if we go by my list?"
He looks over the list and gives it back to Ana
"Yes ma'am the winery and vineyards are the places to start and then we will work our way back. The first winery is Tenuta Di Capezzana in Chianti. It is only fifteen minutes from Florence and you can taste and stomp grapes there. They are one of many that are famous for red wines and they have the vineyards to prove it."
"Then we will go to the vineyards in Florence where there is a beautiful old castle that is a winery and you can stomp grapes there if you wish and take a tour of the vineyards in jeeps they have for guests with a tour guide. Never fear I and my cousins Alistar and Edwin will be with you all."
"Very good young man, thank you. Now time's a wastin. Let's go."

They arrive at the winery and all get out of the cars and walk to the big doors and they are opened by and older gentleman smiling at them

"Welcome one and all. Please come in and follow me."
They walk into the winery and look around at all the pictures and paintings on the wall. They see some of the antique barrels that were used centuries ago. There are old and new banners hanging on the walls. Statues of soldiers in armor.
"Would you all like to hear some of the history of our castle and winery?"
"Yes please thank you."
"The Capeezzana family has been more than dedicated to art, culture, oils and wines for centuries. In fact the estate itself is worthy of a Renaissance Museum: statues, furnishings, ceramics and paintings."
"I will be showing you all their impressive cellars and where the wine is processed and organizing you all a taste testing of breads and cheese to try with some of the best olive oils to spread on the bread."
There are rows and rows of red grapes artfully designed to catch the eyes of the guests.
"Would anyone like to sample some grapes they are for our guests? Would you all like some refreshments now or later?"
"I think I would like to try some grapes and a refreshment later. How about y'all?"
They all say later to the refreshments and try the grapes.
"Oh my, these are tart, sweet and juicy. I love red grapes. They have a unique taste because of the mixed flavor when you bite into them."
"Yes gran I tasted the difference too."
"If you all would come this way there is more to see. I will be taking you all on a wine tour as soon as we go through this door."
"I am so excited I have never been here before."
"That is fine ma'am there is a lot to see and learn about if you are interested?"
"Oh I am too old to learn about making wine. I just want to stomp some grapes."
They all laugh at granmomma
"Well it is the truth. But this will be interesting to see. Please lead the way, Pierre."
They all laugh and Mr. Saint James cracks a grin.
"You will be seeing the cellars as I said earlier. I will show you some of the wine barrels that we store our wine into to age. You will be tasting wines and we have walls of wine bottle racks. You will see where the wine is being made and you can watch them as they ferment it. It is exciting to see if you have never seen it before. You will see the big vats and some of the workers. I do hope you will enjoy the tour."
"Wow thank you Mr. Saint James I am sure we will. It sounds very exciting."
They toured the cellars and saw where everything was made.
"Oh my goodness those vats are huge and they are all lined up side by side. They are so shiny and clean looking. I bet they hire some people to keep this place spotless."
"I am sure they do."
"What did you all think about the red wines? To me they are tart and dry but then again Red wine is a dry wine."
"How about Vin Santo? It is one of the sweetest wines in the world. That's what the sign says. It is a dessert wine and it comes from Trebbiano grape varietals mostly. They say it ages for at least five years in specialized casks made from the wood of oak. mulberry, cherry or chestnut trees."
"Wow, learn something new every tour."
"I liked Vin Santo."
"It was alright but you have to like the tart taste and I for one don't care for a dry wine."
"Well to each his own."
They all walk out the back door and there are three huge jeeps waiting on them.
"Ladies and gentlemen your chariots await. We are going to the vineyards and a tour and then you all can stomp some grapes."
"Yippee let's go young man."
Gran and granmomma each grab an arm and pull him toward the blue jeep. He helps the ladies in and turns around to see who all is riding with them.
"Ray, come on, we can ride with the ladies."
"Works for me."
The men climb up in the jeeps and for everyone else to get in their jeeps.
"Well Boo you are going to either have to throw me up there or put me on your shoulders to get in this monstrosity."
They all laugh.
"Hey I can't help that I am so short. I take after my mom from the pictures of her I have seen. She was short too."
"It's alright love they have steps for you to climb up to get in the monstrosity as you call it. I think it is cool. I want one."
"I'll help you so you don't fall."
"Thank you Boo."
He just smiles at her and helps her in the jeep.
Christian, Paula and Elliot have no problem climbing up the steps. Hell they take the steps two at a time even Paula.
"We are ready to go now."
"Thank you Dav."
The jeeps move through the fields of grapes that go on for miles and miles.
"This is so beautiful and everything is so lush and green."
There are rows and rows of olive trees as far as the eye can see.
"That olive oil we put on our bread was very good. I wonder if we can buy some?"
"We will ask when we come back from the stomping."
"Are you going to do it with us Boo?"
"Um no angel I am not."
"Ok come on bro I am going to if they let men that is. I think it would be an experience to remember."
"We have a photographer for that, Elliot."
"Party pooper."
"Alright everyone we are here."
They help everyone out of the jeep.
Christian goes to help Ana down and she climbs on his back and giggles the whole time.
"Be still woman before I drop you."

"Ok so what do we have to do?"
"Come with us and we will introduce you all to the ones that are going to tell you what you have to do."
"Hello Maria, Jeanette and Patrick. This is Mr. Grey and Ms. Steele and family."
"Very nice to meet you all. Welcome to the grape stomping event."
"Very nice to meet you all as well."
"My dears and sir, what do we have to do in order to stomp some grapes?"
"Well ma'am first you all can ride in carts and we will take you out to the vineyards and help you all pick your grapes. Then we will come back here and you will put them in these half barrels over here to your right."
"That is one option or we have grapes here that you can use. I always thought it was more fun to pick your own clusters but however you want to do it is fine with us."
"We just thought the ladies would prefer to use the ones here."
"Oh sweet child we are going to pick ours with the help of these young men with us."
"Well then ma'am shall we take a ride?"
"Yes, let's go pick some grapes. I am dying to stomp them."
"Granmomma you are so excited. Gran are you as excited as her?"
"Yes sweet girl but I am not showing it yet."
"Come on Boo let's go?"
They all get in the carts and start off for the vineyards.
"Oh my look at all the olive trees. You all produce your own olive oil too, right?"
"Yes Ms. Steele we certainly do."
"Can I buy some before we leave? We tried it earlier and it was very good."
"Yes ma'am we have extra virgin oil made from some of the finest olive trees around."
"Thank you."
They have arrived at that destination and they are starting to pick large clusters of grapes.
"That's the right idea. The bigger they are the faster we can go back."
"Boo are you going to stomp with me?"
"Yes my angel I am."
So they have picked a lot of grapes and now they are on their way back to wash and sanitize their feet and get them all messy with grapes.
"This is your next step washing and sanitizing your feet."
"Then you will wash your feet and sanitize them then step into the barrels and start stomping your grapes. We will add water now and then for you."
They are all taking turns washing and preparing their feet for this exciting event.
The men pour the grapes in the barrels then they help the ladies in. Two people at a time.
"Alright now how does that feel?"
"Kinda squishy."
Ana giggles.
"Christian if you could see your face you would be laughing. It is a picture perfect moment."
"Yes I am sure it is."

Grandpa and daddy help gran and granmomma in and make sure they don't fall.

"Be Careful there before you fall? Hold on to that pole El. The bottom is getting slippery."

About that time he falls on his ass laughing like crazy.
"I hope you got that picture?"
"Yes ma'am I sure did."
"El are you alright sweetie?"

He says laughing and then everyone cracks up as he tries to get out of the barrel and slips down again but this time he pulls Paula down with him.
"Elliot Grey, I am going to kill you in so many ways."
She says laughing now.

"It's alright y'all we will buy some for you both."
"No, no you won't, we are going back to the house and we will finish this tomorrow."

She says laughing at him.
"I will I promise but hey we got it on video or just camera my man?"

They walk back to the jeeps and ride back to the winery. The walk to the door and Mr. Saint James is waiting on them.
"I hope you all had a nice tour and did you enjoy your grape stomping?"
"Yes sir, it was an experience we will never forget. Thank you, we had a great time."
"I am so glad you all did. I have a lite lunch prepared for you all with some of our breads and extra virgin olive oil. We have ravioli and some cheese for you to sample also."
"Oh my goodness that sounds so good. Thank you."
"My pleasure Ms. Steele."
They have eaten and sampled the oils and cheese.
"Mr. Saint James, can I buy some olive oils and a few bottles of wine?"
"Of course you can Ms. Steele. Just write out what you would like and I will have it prepared for you."
Ana writes down what they would like to buy.
"Here you go sir."
"I will have your order ready by the time we walk to the front. It will be waiting on you."
"Thank you and how do we pay for our order sir?"
"Card will be fine ma'am."
"Here you go Mr. Saint James."
He does his scan of the card and gives the card back to Christian.
As they walk to the front.
"Oh yes, here is a little gift from us to you all."
"Oh my goodness is this what I think it is?"
"Yes ma'am it is your tour of the winery, the vineyards, the ride and the grape stomping."
"Well dang El we got it on video again."
"It was funny wasn't it sir?"
"Well since you have asked yes Mr. Grey it was."
"Thank you for a lovely tour and we hope to come back another time."
"Thank you ma'am, we have enjoyed having you all here."
"Come on y'all we need to stop at a store first."
Ana and Christian walk into a store and buy Paula and Elliot some jeans to wear.
"Here you both go there is a dressing room right over there on the outside of the building you can change your clothes in."
"Outside you said?"
"Yes outside a lot of people like to use them as they are changing from clothes to swimwear."
"Ok then come on baby girl let's go change."
They change clothes and are back in the car and on their way to Florence.
"Ok I can't wait, we are going to ride the Vespa's when we get to Florence and get that out of the way. Because I don't want to ride them at night."
"Yes, that sounds like a plan. Safer in the daylight hours."
They arrive in Florence and El and Dav go find out where the tour office is for the Vespa ride.
"Hello, can I help you?"
"Yes, is this where we sign up for the private tour with the Vespa's? We called ahead and made arrangements early this morning."
"Yes this is the place. Name of party please?"
"Grey Steele."
"Yes sir, I have it right here. How many in your party are riding solo and how many are going to double up?"
"Hey Christian are you riding and Ana riding solo?"
"Ana, do you want to ride by yourself or with me?"

"Ok then double and six solo."
"Ok I will have them brought around to you all very soon. Do you want a tour guide or are you using these guys here? Yes sir I know who they are."
"Yes we will be using security thank you,"
They all get on their Vespa and follow behind the security guys that are in front and they have Sawyer, Nick and Dav with security in the back.
"Oh my goodness gracious Annie Rose this is so much fun. I have never done anything like this."

"Thank you Ray for taking me. I really appreciate it. I guess everyone is looking at us like we are crazy. This old lady is riding on the back of a bike."
"Oh granmomma they are not. They are thinking that if she can do it at her age I can do it at mine. Look at the ones going to get in line for a bike."
Granmomma looks around and sees all the ones standing in line.
"Well I'll be, would you look at that?"
"Are we ready to go a little faster now?"

They sped up some and took a tour of Florence. They saw so many things they planned to do today.
They rode back to the office and parked all their bikes and thanked them for letting them take the tour with their security.
"It was our pleasure to and we are glad you enjoyed it."

"Who is this woman that is with him? Does anyone know?"
"Yes she is my cousin Laura and she is helping with the photos here in Florence. She has been vetted and signed a NDA. She knows the photos and memory cards go to you all."

"Alright you all, let's load up and go see the Cathédrale of Santa Maria del Fiore. What do you all say?"

They arrive at the Cathédrale , one of the largest churches in the world. The plan consists of a triple-nave basilica with the presbytery area nested within dominated by the large octagon of the immense dome around which are three radial apses ( or "tribunes' ') each consisting of five chapels.
The Cathédrale is one hundred fifty three meters (five hundred and two feet) in length, ninety meters (two hundred ninety five feet) wide at the transept. Ninety meters high from floor to base of the dome lantern.
The title "Santa Maria del Fiore" (Our lady of the flower) alludes to the name of the city, "Florentia" or "city of flowers", "destined to bloom", and to its emblem, the Florentine lily.
The external walls are covered in white, red and green marble with geometric figures and stylish flowers. The sides are adorned with four elegant mullioned windows, eight circular windows and four monumental portals richly adorned with sculptures.

They all walk inside the Cathédrale and yes they are amazed and Elliot is blown away.
Inside the naves are set out by immense pillars and ample gothic arches of Talenti, while the floors have decorations in inlaid marble mosaic by the grand ducal workshops of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
The space is illuminated by forty four stained glass windows, developing a design by the main Florentine artists and early Renaissance. On the way we can admire the works of the art from different eras and by different hands, including famous masterpieces from the fifteenth century such as the monumental clock frescoed by Paolo Uccello. The gigantic equestrian portraits of John Hawkwood and Niccolo da Tolentino.
"Wow, that is just to name a few, not all of them. It would take us all day to just go through all of this magnificent building."

They get back in the cars and go to the streets where the locals are cooking so you can sample what they have made.
"We are going to sample hams, different kinds of sausages and cheeses. Try the seasonal fruits and vegetables."
"I saw where we can learn to make pasta. Is that on this tour?"
"Yes ma'am we will be stopping there after the sample tasting."
"Oh lordy try this ham Boo it is delicious and so tender."
"Oh my goodness it is juicy too."
"I love the smoke flavor."
"Elliot, have you tried the sausages yet?"
"I did a while ago and man I got hold of a hot one. I mean it made my eyes water and my nose burn."

"Has everyone sampled enough? Would you all like to go on a cooking tour now?"
"Yes we are ready."
"We will walk it is not far just a few streets over or as you say a few blocks as our blocks are small."
They walk into a large cafe that has blues, reds, greens and orange table cloths. The staff are wearing all different colors of uniforms. So bright and festive.
"Come this way? Who is going to try their hand at making pasta?"
"Christian and I."
"Wonderful please follow me."
They walk to a huge kitchen that is as colorful here as in the dining area.
"Hello Jasmine, this is Mr. Grey and Ms. Steele. They are going to take the cooking class and make pasta."
"Wonderful if you will both come with me I will get your aprons and set you up at your station. No one else wanted to join you?"
"No they are chicken."
That made everyone laugh.
"Well um alright. I will get the ingredients, bowls and other items you will need to make the pasta with."
She sets the bowls, the yeast, the flour, eggs, salt and pepper and other ingredients in front of them. She also sets the pasta machine up for them on the counter after they get everything mixed up and ready to go.
"Oh yes, that looks very good. Alright, we are going to make spaghetti noodles first. Follow me to the counter."
"You will roll the dough and make long strips. The more your roll the longer it will be. Then you will cut it and put it in the pasta maker. You will turn the wheel and the noodles will start to come through.
"Oh look angel it is coming out and not breaking apart. I guess we kneaded it just right."
"Yes Mr. Grey we sure did."
"That was so much fun. Come here love and let me wipe your face, you have flour on it."
"Where I can get off your hands are messy."

"I believe we need to clean our mess up Boo."
"Oh no ma'am that is fine we will take care of it. Thank you for joining my class and for the entertainment. It was fun to watch a couple so in love playing around in public."

"Alright granmomma let's go and get some gelato and go home I for one am tired."

They walk around the corner and there is the gelato store. They go in and buy different kinds to eat on the way home.
"If you all will come with me I will take you to the cars."

They drive back home and everyone goes to their room to rest for a little while until it is time for dinner.

They walk in the kitchen and pull everything out of the warmers and put it all in dishes on the counter for everyone to come and get their own.
They have smoked ham, sausages, and two different kinds of potatoes. They have squash and greens along with the bread and cheese.

"Gail, would you and Paula mind looking for a place where we can test wedding cakes even if we have to go to Florence? That is fine."
"Elliot, you are going to be my best man. Now I know you have to go back home. I know you have to make sure Ana's company is being built right. Can you come back for the last two weeks or do you really need to be gone for a long time?"

"That is better. I will be back as soon as I can. Yes I have to go home and make sure everything is on schedule and they are doing everything right. I trust my guys but I need to be there too. I hope you both understand?"
