Because I'm doing in AU I decided to play with the times and the deaths of a few characters. We will discuss abuse, negligence, and bashing against some characters. I will use some things from the books and movies plus make up my own. All characters belong to J.K Rowling. I'm only doing this for fun. Hope you enjoy it.

Albus Severus Potter will be referred to as A.P or Albus sometimes

Dumbledore will either be Headmaster or Dumbledore dah…

The next morning James woke up first; he looked down at Harry and smiled when he saw him awake playing with one of his mom's hair strings. He tickled him and made him giggle.

-"Mama"—Harry said pulling her hair and trying to sit up.

-"I know Prongslet, mommies really pretty."

"I thought I was gorgeous"—Lily whispered half asleep. Making James chuckle.—"That you are"

"We read the whole story today. I don't like that we haven't even started and It feels dreadful"—She said leaning in to give Harry a kiss

"We can change the future, Lily. We have this opportunity we must take it"

Lily nodded and they got up to get ready. They were changing Harry when they heard the knock and Sirius came in, with Marlene and Remus.

"Good morning"—Marlene said rushing to Harry.

The guys sat down—"What are we going to do with the Rat?"

Both girls looked up in alarm.

Remus shook his head at both of them—"About the Animagus thing."

"Albus has to know right?"

"Dumbledore?"

"No, our grandkid"

"He's not our grandkid, but I suppose he does"—James shook his head at his wife. They didn't know this guy.

Sirius moved his head—"We tell them before we leave or we could not, and search for him ourselves"

"No! You will tell them when it's over, no vengeance please."—Marlene glared sternly.

James thought about it. — "We will wait, Dad knows so he won't let us lie. But let's wait until it's necessary, we don't know what reactions it will have."

"What about them knowing my secret? Your grandkid just outed me "—Remus said angrily. He had been tossing and turning all night.

"Dad seems to trust the Weasleys."

"I can handle Dromeda…but it would be best if we can find some time to discuss it."

Remus pinched the bridge of his nose— "Fine, I'm too tired for this"

They nodded and headed down to where the professors were having breakfast. Molly was trying to tell the elves that she had it under control, Lily gave Harry to Suzy.

"Molly"—Dorea said—"It's alright dear. Suzy can look after Ron and Harry."

–"How are the elves here?"—Sirius sat down.

Albus Potter talked through his eggs and bacon—"They are the only ones who have permission to come in and go through the time bubble. The Potter elves, the Longbottom, Hogwarts let us burrow a few. They will take care of the kids and make food."

Molly looked unsure about that, Lily smiled kindly at her –"It's alright Molly, Harry loves Suzy and she's incredible with him, you don't have to worry about anything."

They ate their Breakfast in remote silence all of them a little tense. Andromeda and Ted still felt like they had nothing to do here and Kingsley barely knew any of them. His only true relation was Alastor and Frank who he had worked with a few times. Once everyone was finished, they all sat down in the same seats as last night.

Suzy ushered the children to the door next to the sitting lounge and Ginny's bassinet close to Molly.

"Very well, you have us all here."—Alastor said to Albus Potter

"Yes, before we start I will tell you why you are here. Some of you don't play a role in my father's life until he's much older, but you are crucial to his life at least for some moments. I believe the right people to make a change is here."

They all swallowed at the implications.

— "Do you mean there's no one to trust in the ministry?"—Alice whispered

"There is, but this information can corrupt many and you are the only ones who won't be seduced by it"

Severus was surprised at that, he knew Dumbledore had him trapped he didn't trust him truly just yet. To hear this, made him fear what kind of information they would be enlightened to.

Lily sighed— "Let's continue before I have second thoughts about this"

The book was charmed to levitate in the middle and it started reading.

Chapter 2— The vanishing glass.

Nearly ten years had passed since the Dursleys had woken up to find their nephew on the front step.

Lily took a breath. "Here it goes"— she thought.

The room holds no sign at all that another boy lived in The house.

"I expected too much"—she leaned into her husband.

Up! Get up! Now!

Those who knew Petunia jumped.

-"My, it's her voice"

"Why is she waking him like that?"—Dorea frowned.

Harry was used to spiders, because the cupboard under the stairs was full of them, and that was where he slept.

The silence was deafening until the Marauders stood up screaming and Lily just closed her eyes in pain.

"If we die…"—she started making everyone pause—"My son is to never set foot in my sister's house. I would rather have him live in the forest with the centaurs than with her."—No one responded to her, James was livid, but the calm tone Lily had used scared him a little, she wasn't going to take these books lightly.

"That bitch has him living under the stairs like an animal, Lily you can never allow your sister in our lives" —Sirius barked

"Language!"—Dorea reprimanded.

I'm sorry Lils but she doesn't deserve you."

"What's a computer?"—Arthur started, his wife shushing him.

Ted smiled at him—"It's a device that muggles use to store data and information. They are quite expensive and not everyone can have them in their home. They can go up to 700 or 900 galleons."

Frank frown—"So Lily's sister is rich? Or she's spending the Potter fortune?"

That made the old Potters cry in outrage. Lily blanched in embarrassment that her sister was doing such a thing. –"I'm so sorry"—

"Nothing to be sorry about dear, I'm sure she's not, the goblins wouldn't let her"

Dudley's favorite punch-bag was Harry...

James hisses at that, his son being treated so poorly.

Snape couldn't say he was surprised that a son of Petunia would turn to be foul like her, but he enjoyed seeing the pain in Potter's eyes at the fact that his son was being treated like he treated others. Karma was a funny thing.

Harry had always been small and skinny for his age.

Lily smiled—"That's just the Potter gen"—she gave a tender kiss to James' cheek. Snape looked away he never understood what Lily had seen in men like Potter.

Dorea smiled sadly—"Poor Harry he doesn't even know what that scar represents."

Harry often said that Dudley looked like a pig in a wig

"Well now we know he inherited Lily's sense of humor"

Harry, who couldn't believe his luck, was on the way to the zoo for the first time in his life.

Lily sighed sadly, she loved going to the zoo and her son had never been there.

"We will take him, he's old enough to understand what he sees"—James whispered

"His accidental magic!"—Marlene smiled

had taken a pair of kitchen scissors and cut his hair so short he was almost bald except for his fringe(…)He had been given a week in his cupboard for this.

"She's just doing it on purpose"

Marlene sighed sadly—"He must be so confused"

Harry supposed that the wind must have caught him in mid-jump.

"He apparated"—James said mouth opened—"That's powerful magic."

"He did summon Padfoot once"—Sirius agreed.

"There's no one to talk about this with him"

Remus shook his head. Where was he while Harry was being imprisoned under the stairs—"Their punishment is locking him up, this could deteriorate his growth, his magic could go crazy and create an obscurial…"
He couldn't finish, everyone was gasping, and Lily started sobbing once again, all of them forgetting about the time traveler who was trying to get their attention while they all freaked out.

A.P. whistled—"STOP! He didn't become an obscurial not even close."

Andromeda nodded, the whole room was tense.—"Could we read this with a little bit more joy? We will go crazy if we keep thinking negatively"

"Andromeda is right, we will get nowhere. Let's calm down"—Monty agreed.

'MOTORBIKES DON'T FLY!'

"The fact that he remembers is impressive"

"He eats the leftovers"—Molly shook her head sadly.

The snake suddenly opened its beady eyes.

It winked.

Some of them pause—"What?"

"Snakes don't wink"

Sirius's eyes widen—"Holy shit he's talking to the snake"

"Accidental magic?"—Alice said alarmed.

Dumbledore frowned, Harry was a parselmouth and Voldemort was one, he chose him as his equal, did Harry and Voldemort have a connection?

Harry sat up and gasped; the glass in front of the boa constrictor's tank had vanished.

A few of them had their mouths open.

"What the hell"

"I mean it's fantastic he has a gift but it had to be that one?"—Marlene said concerned—"It could give people the wrong impression"

'Harry was talking to it, weren't you, Harry?'

"I hate this child"—Remus said

"But how is he able to talk with it?"—James looked at his dad who shook his head.

"No one should sneak around in their home."

"That's not his home"—Lily spat.

"A car crash?"—James shook his head—"It won't be nice when he finds out he's a wizard"

he came up with a strange vision: a blinding flash of green light and a burning pain on his forehead.

Lily once again found herself cleaning her tears—"My baby shouldn't remember that. I'm not surprised she doesn't talk about me; after I left for Hogwarts she told me her sister was dead"

the Dursleys were his only family.

Remus turned to see Albus Potter—"I never went for him? I never tried to visit him?"

The marauders all looked at A.P

Albus Potter shook his head. –"After a few years your depression was so severe that you only survived. Besides Dumbledore never said where he sent him, everyone made their own conclusions about where the boy who lived was."

Sirius put an arm over Remus's shoulder who looked defeated.

The weirdest thing about all these people was the way they seemed to vanish the second Harry tried to get a closer look.

"Wizards, they recognize him by just seeing him?"— Dorea said alarmed. "If the Death Eaters escaped, that could be dangerous for him."

"I imagine that was the reason I never revealed his whereabouts," said Dumbledore, ignoring the eye roll of A.P.

Mad-Eye spoke for the first time.—"The first one sounds like Diggle because of the hat, maybe they aren't coincidences and Dumbledore has him under surveillance."

"It may be, but that means that Dumbledore must know how he lives"—James said sternly—"and I don't want to assume the headmaster hasn't done anything to defend my son or that he trusts strangers and not his Uncle"—James said pointing at Remus.

"I'm sure not, James." – Dumbledore was saying quickly even though he already knew the answer.

"Who the hell has a gang at 10 years old"— Augusta said.

Snape was about to say that Potter and her Son. Frank Longbottom hadn't been a saint either, but those involved glared at him and he knew this wasn't the time for a fight.

CHAPTER THREE — The Letters from No One

The escape of the Brazilian boa constrictor earned Harry his longest-ever punishment.

Sirius squeezed Marlene's hand. His godson was living the same kind of torture he had experienced at the hands of his parents and all because he made a hasty decision. The pain he felt for Peter's betrayal was turning to hatred. He cursed the rat wherever it was.

'The poor toilet's never had anything as horrible as your head down it – it Might be sick.'

Almost everyone laughed.

James hugged Lily— "That's all you, love."

"Figss, that name sounds familiar to me," Alice said. –"Isn't there an Antonio Figss in the order?"

"Yes," said Dumbledore, but he didn't say anything else.

James narrowed his eyes and turned to see A.P. but he was looking at the book.

Aunt Petunia burst into tears and said she couldn't believe it was her Ickle Dudleykins.

"My god"—Lily said disgustedly.

'Oh,' he said. 'I didn't realize it had to be so wet.'

"He's sarcastic as hell"

"He's a smart mouth"—Ephie said looking at her son. Who smiled petulant at her.

"Does her son do anything?"

and – a letter for Harry.

They all moved forward.

"This is going to go wrong"—Lily said remembering her own letter. McGonagall looked at her and gave her a sad smile, she too remembered Petunia's tantrum.

Mr H. Potter

The Cupboard under the Stairs

4 Privet Drive

Little Whinging

Surrey

"Sorry what?" –Marlene said in astonished shock

McGonagall also looked surprised. –"The letters are not reviewed, it is only checked that the names in the attendance book are marked"

"Well, you'd better start checking those letters, who knows how many more you've ignored in this way".-Kingsley said shaking his head.

Aunt Petunia took it curiously and read the first line. For a moment it looked as though she might faint. She clutched her throat and made a choking noise.

"Give him his letter you whale!"

Harry didn't move.

'I WANT MY LETTER!' he shouted.

"Oh dear it seems he inherited your temper, Lily"

"Maybe it James"—

"If he starts throwing punches then it's James"

'Watching – spying – might be following us,' muttered Uncle Vernon wildly.

"We should have"—Dorea said, glaring at Dumbledore.

"Yes but still, we don't have enough time, it's not like their lives were interesting"

"Stamp it out?"—Monty asked angrily.—"They beat my grandson, they will pay"

'I have burned it.'… we think it might be nice if you moved into Dudley's second bedroom.

Lily made a yell of exasperation—"I can't… my sister really hates me this much? My son is innocent of any bad thing I have ever done to her. I don't even know Vernon that well for him to have so low opinion of me if my mother…"

"Helen would've doted on him, flower. Please breathe"—James said sadly.

'There's another one! Mr H. Potter, The Smallest Bedroom, 4 Privet Drive –'

"Oh this is exasperating me"—Andromeda said-"They can't really believe he won't go"

"My sister knows, but it's been ten years I don't know how much in denial she is"

'I want –' he began, but Uncle Vernon was tearing the letters into pieces before his eyes.

"That's cruel"

"That was actually a really good plan"

"He's their servant"—Ted Tonks spat

On Friday, no fewer than twelve letters arrived for Harry.

Minerva sighed—"They are not going to stop"

"So that means you're going to deliver It"—James said hopefully.

Twenty-four letters to Harry found their way into the house,

"Oh please in the eggs. Someone has to do this purpose"

"Not necessarily, magic can be funny sometimes"—Monty said.

Next moment, thirty or forty letters came pelting out of the fireplace like bullets. He looked so dangerous with half his moustache missing that no one dared argue

"I must admit that I feel a bit sorry for them"-Molly said and defended herself from the looks—"Think about it, this is something unknown to them, the fact that these letters are coming so violently to their house makes anyone panic"

Sirius snorted—"it's his own fault, Petunia isn't stupid she knows very well what's going on. I feel that here the problem is Vernon."

then tomorrow, Tuesday, was Harry's eleventh birthday.

Lily sniffed a little, it was her baby's most important birthday and she wasn't with him.—"Shh Lily breathe love, if you don't try to calm down I won't let you read anymore, you're shaking"

"I can't help it. I'm angry."

"We know Lily, but try to relax, there are seven books, dear, we can't lose our temper from the first"—Monty told her, passing her a cup of tea.

It was freezing in the boat. After what seemed like hours they reached the rock, the inside was horrible; it smelled strongly of seaweed, the wind whistled through the gaps in the wooden walls and the fireplace was damp and empty.

"He took them out to sea, this man is insane"—Augusta said

"Those are not rations, not even for his family did he bring nice food"

Harry was left to find the softest bit of floor he could and to curl up under the thinnest, most ragged blanket.

Sirius and Remus shook their head violently. –"These people deserve the worst"

The whole shack shivered and Harry sat bolt upright, staring at the door. Someone was outside, knocking to come in.

"Whoever it is I hope they are there for Harry"

"Perhaps is Minnie"

"I wouldn't go in the middle of the night"

CHAPTER FOUR — The Keeper of the Keys

'Where's the cannon?' he said stupidly.

"He has a gun?"

"What is that?"—Arthur Weasley said

"It's a muggle weapon, like a wand but made of metal and it shoots metal bullets, it's dangerous and not everyone survives a gun wound."

Ted and Remus who understood what Lily was talking about were very angry as well—"Does he even know how to use it?"

"Where did he buy it? I don't think he had a license for it"

A giant of a man was standing in the doorway. His face was almost completely hidden by a long, shaggy mane of hair and a wild.

"Hagrid!"—The marauders said. —"You went for him"

Hagrid smiled at the group.

"What a sight it must be for them"

He turned to look at them all. 'Couldn't make us a cup o' tea, could yeh? It's not been an easy journey …' He strode over to the sofa where Dudley sat frozen with fear. 'Budge up, yeh great lump,' said the stranger.

"Yeah Hagrid tell them"

"Manners Hagrid"

"Why was Hagrid sent, no mean to offend"—Augusta said—"But isn't this the job of the head of houses?"

No one knew what to say and Dumbledore stayed silent.

'An' here's Harry!' said the giant. 'Yeh look a lot like yer dad, but yeh've got yer mum's eyes.'

"Thank you Hagrid"—Lily said smiling, her baby was one more step closer to Hogwarts.

"He must be so confused"

A.P. spoke, and all the heads turned to him (imagine this happens every time he talks)—"Those words meant a lot to Dad, at that moment he didn't know how you looked, he had no pictures of you"—He said sadly.

Harry opened it with trembling fingers. Inside was a large, sticky chocolate cake with Happy Birthday Harry written on it in green icing.

The Potters sent Hagrid another grateful smile that he waved off.

Harry looked up at the giant. He meant to say thank you, but the words got lost on the way to his mouth, and what he said instead was, 'Who are you?'

"Manners Harry"—Dorea chastised but her heart squeezed a little. Her little Harry bear was alone and confused.

True, I haven't introduced myself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts.'

"How are you doing Magic?"—Andromeda asked.

Hagrid shrugged.

He passed the sausages to Harry, who was so hungry he had never tasted anything so wonderful

"Never eat anything that a stranger gives you"—Mad-eye barked at them as if they were children.

"He really must be hungry"—Remus leaned to Marlene and Sirius—"Hagrid's food is barely eatable"

yeh'll know all about Hogwarts, o' course.'

'Er – no,' said Harry.

Hagrid looked shocked.

Did yeh never wonder where yer parents learned it all?'

"Here it goes"—Alice sighed

'I know some things,' he said. 'I can, you know, do maths and stuff.'

James chuckled—"Well that's a relieve"—Lily gently smacked his arm.

'DURSLEY!' he boomed.

"Oh I hope Hagrid shows them"

"I'm nervous for Harry"—Ted said remembering how much it affected him to find out about his magic.

'Yeh don' know … yeh don' know …' Hagrid ran his fingers through his hair, fixing Harry with a bewildered stare. 'Yeh don' know what yeh are?' he said finally.

Hagrid took a deep breath—"I don't think I was the best option to go get him"

Everyone agreed.

"I wonder if you told her to show him the letter in a few years."

"That man has the audacity to forbid someone something, they should just give up"

'I'm a what?' gasped Harry. 'A wizard, o' course,' said Hagrid,

"Being subtle isn't your strong suit is it"—Arthur smiled kindly at the giant.

James and Lily turned to look at Hagrid—"Thank you that is very kind of you"

Hagrid shook his head. –"It's true"

"For Heaven's sake, check those letters"—Frank said

Augusta leaned forward—"How long has it been since the curriculum has changed?"

After a few minutes he stammered, 'What does it mean, they await my owl?'

"From all the things to ask, son"—James shook his head

"He's confused"

Dear Mr. Dumbledore, Given Harry his letter...

Alice huffed—"Poor Owl, you should have waited, It's Harry Potter I'm sure Dumbledore would have understood"

Dorea pinched the bridge of her nose she leaned into her husband and whispered—"Dumbledore really sent the ground keeper with no education to collect our grandson, the only heir of the house of Potter"

Monty smiled—"Don't be rude Dorea"

—His wife rolled her eyes—"The man is a sweetheart but inadequate for what Harry needs, Dumbledore is making mistakes"

Monty nodded but didn't say more.

"Stomp it out!"—All the parents in the room yelled, and the professors even Snape made a disgusted face at this.

Lily just shook her head, she always believed she could patch up things with her sister, that she could sit down and discuss what went wrong but now she didn't know if she even want to see her again.

Knew!' shrieked Aunt Petunia suddenly. (...) I was the only one who saw her for what she was – a freak! But for my mother and father, oh no, it was Lily this and Lily that, (...) 'Then she met that Potter at school and they left and got married and had you (...) she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you!'

Lily stood up in anger, James tried to grab her hand but she snapped out of it and started pacing. Marlene and Alice knew better than to get in the middle of whatever was going on in her mind. Snape wanted to comfort her like he used to but he knew a hug would not be well received. Everyone in the room roared with the book Hagrid

"I understand not telling him about magic but as horrible as it might be, wouldn't it be better to tell him the truth of his parent's murder?"—Kingsley said shocked. –"The mental shock this boy is about to go through"

"Dumbledore! Is not thinking straight"

"Oh heavens"—Monty said, his wife always a Slytherin would not let it go

Albus Potter realized too—"Ah yes, that's something else. Dumbledore of the future makes many mistakes try not to be angry at him from book one."

Dumbledore sighed and rested his hands in front of him.

Lily came to sit down again; her husband immediately wrapped his arms around her. She smiled and leaned into him.

'Nah – can't spell it. All right – Voldemort.' Hagrid shuddered.

Hagrid and a few of them shuddered as well.

some just wanted a bit o' his power.

"No matter how much power he gives me I would never bow to the likes of him"—Sirius said in disgust, those in his generation agreeing, all but one who decided to stay silent.

Terrible things happened. He was takin' over. Didn't dare try takin' the school.

"And I'm grateful for that, too many innocent lives are in these Halls."—Dumbledore said thinking of his students.

A.P. smiled sadly, unfortunately, Minerva was paying attention to him and gasped.—"He did he, in your world?"—she said alarmed.

A.P. shook his head but didn't say anything else.

'Now, yer mum an' dad were as good a witch an' wizard as I ever knew. Head Boy an' Girl at Hogwarts in their day!

"You were a decent head boy"—Alice said, earning the finger from James.

"Voldemort never tried to recruit me but Abraxas tried to recruit dad"

"And he regretted it."

All anyone knows is, he turned up in the village where you was all living, 'Sorry,' he said. 'But it's that sad – knew yer mum an' dad, an' nicer people yeh couldn't find – anyway

"Oh, Hagrid I don't think we deserve your praise"—Lily said kindly

"You do, I probably don't"—James whispered to her

"Nonsense, rebels and nosy you both were, but good people."—Hagrid said

'You-Know-Who killed 'em. An' then – an' this is the real myst'ry of the thing – he tried to kill you, too.

"The prophecy, he chose his equal"— Monty said out loud. Those who didn't understand asked and Dumbledore quickly explained the Prophecy. The Weasley, Tonks, Kingsley, Minerva, and Hagrid all of them shook their heads sadly. Marlene realized that Snape didn't look surprised. Of course, Dumbledore didn't share all of it, which would later earn him a reprimand from Albus Potter.

Never wondered how you got that mark on yer forehead? That was no ordinary cut. That's what yeh get when a powerful, evil curse touches yeh –

"This can't be good for his poor mental health"—Andy said concerned

No one ever lived after he decided ter kill 'em, no one except you, an' he'd killed some o' the best witches an' wizards of the age – the McKinnons, the Bones, the Prewetts – an' you was only a baby, an' you lived.'

Sirius hugged Marlene to him—"I won't let that happen"

"I know love, breath"

Molly clenched her husband. —"Did he say Prewett?"—She turned to look at A.P. who sighed—"Your brothers were murdered a few days after…in an ambush."

Molly started crying, and Monty gave her a calming draught—"Oh, they have to be warned."

"I did"—said Mad-eye—"Albus here told me who did it and I warn them to stay alert."

Molly nodded they gave her a few minutes to regain control and the story went on.

he saw again the blinding flash of green light, more clearly than he had ever remembered it before –

"Oh, for heavens tell me he doesn't remember that night"

'Load of old tosh,' said Uncle Vernon. Harry jumped, he had almost forgotten that the Dursleys were there.

"So did we"

'Now, you listen here, boy,' he snarled. 'I accept there's something strange about you, probably nothing a good beating wouldn't have cured

Remus growled. –"How dare he, he…"

Marlene hold his hand. –"No one will touch the pup, don't worry"

"How cruel can you be, telling a child his parents deserve to be murdered?"

'Some say he died. Codswallop, in my opinion. Dunno if he had enough human left in him to die.

Monty shivered at that thought. Dumbledore frowned and decided to discuss it with Monty later, A.P. said Voldemort had done many awful things to win but he didn't want to believe he had gone so far into the Dark side.

but somethin' about you stumped him, all right.'- Hagrid looked at Harry with warmth and respect blazing in his eyes,

"see this is what I meant"—Frank shook his head—"They are putting too much pressure on his little mind and that can't be good"

"Yes, they are giving him a responsibility that isn't his"—Dorea sighed.

If he'd once defeated the greatest sorcerer in the world, how come Dudley had always been able to kick him around like a football?

"Because they are bullies"—James shook his head—"That's what they do"

"You would know"—Snape spoke for the first time.

A.P. took out his wand, here we go he thought.

James smiled cheekily at him.—"Snape I had already forgotten that you were here..."

"James leave him alone. It's not the moment"

James looked at his wife and sighed—"Whatever you say, dear."

But Uncle Vernon wasn't going to give in without a fight.- 'I AM NOT PAYING FOR SOME CRACKPOT OLD FOOL TO TEACH HIM MAGIC TRICKS!' yelled Uncle Vernon.

Hagrid made a sound of discontent.

"Oh he's dead"

"Kill him Hagrid."

When he turned his back on them, Harry saw a curly pig's tail poking through a hole in his trousers.

The Marauders and Frank cheered, and Arthur laughed.

Minerva pressed her lips together—"Hagrid, that was reckless and irresponsible and I'm very proud you can still do such good transfiguration"—she finished. Augusta and Ephie chuckled.

'Why aren't you supposed to do magic?' asked Harry.

"Mind your business Harry"—Lily said

"Says the nosy one"—Marlene mocked.

'Why were you expelled?'

They all looked at their Hagrid who was looking at the ceiling.

A.P chuckled—"You will know in the second book, don't be nosy"

CHAPTER FIVE — Diagon Alley

Harry woke early the next morning. Although he could tell it was daylight, he kept his eyes shut tight. 'It was a dream,' he told himself firmly.

The Potters shook their head in denial.

Everyone around them knew it would take them a while before they accepted this had been a reality.

Harry counted out five little bronze coins and the owl held out its leg so he could put the money into a small leather pouch tied to it. Then it flew off through the open window.

"Hand-on-hand experience"—Remus approved. -"It's for the best"

A.P laughed—"For the next seven years Dad only gets hand-on-hand experience"

'Just the one. Gringotts. Run by goblins.'

The marauders laughed at Harry's reaction.—"Poor boy"

As a matter of' fact, I gotta visit Gringotts anyway. Fer Dumbledore. Hogwarts business.' Hagrid drew himself up proudly. 'He usually gets me ter do important stuff fer him. Fetchin' you – gettin' things from Gringotts – knows he can trust me, see.

Hagrid blush all types of red while the rest chuckled. Dumbledore smiled kindly—"I can't imagine trusting someone else"

Remus nodded—"You flew in a Thestral didn't you?"—he asked Hagrid

"Must have, they are the only animal out here that can hold my weight"

'Well, so they say,' said Hagrid. 'Crikey, I'd like a dragon.'

Marlene shook her head fondly at Hagrid, she and Lily had started their friendship with the groundkeeper around the second year because of Dorcas who harassed him about magical creatures—"Hagrid you live in a wooden house"

Harry unfolded a second piece of paper he hadn't noticed the night before and read: HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

Uniform (…) First-year students will require:

Set Books (…) All students should have a copy of each of the following:

Snape talked surprisingly to a few who didn't expect him to participate. — "The potion books are basic on the subject apparently no one has talent anymore."—Remembering his first years, was he still in the position of potion master in the future?

Lily rolled her eyes— "Yes, but they are too simple, there are many more books with more information."

Monty—"But they are expensive, I think the professor is trying to filter those who will like the subject"

"But it's lacking information that makes the brewing easier. People can Brew, understanding it is different and it complicates the process."—Lily stated.

"The Defense book isn't very good either; it just touches the subject but doesn't go into the Dark Arts, no spells no defense, it just speaks about attacks as if they were stories."—Remus said.

Snape spoke humorlessly—"Didn't know you were interested in them"

"There is a difference between understanding them and doing them"—Marlene sneered at him.

A.P. was trying not to laugh.

The professors nodded; Dumbledore shook his head. And stared at a few of the people in front of him, he turned to Minerva who was thoughtful as well, with every graduated generation they took their time to monitories those who could possibly become teachers, that's how they got Pomona and apparently, they were staring at the candidates for the generation of 78.

The Leaky Cauldron had suddenly gone completely still and silent.

"Hagrid you just made him a target"—Kingsley said shaking his head. Alastor leaned forward.

"Is this all the time?"—Monty asked A.P

"Yes, fame has always been around the Potter name."—He ignores Snape's gruntle look—" Dad has always been chased by everyone, especially after the war, and because of who mom is… we got used to it"

"Who is your mom?"—Lily asked curiously

A.P smiled— "I'll leave that in suspense, but she was a professional quidditch player"

James' mouth fall opened—"My son married a quidditch player?"

"Who did she play for?"—Sirius asked

"How is this relevant?"—Snape said annoyed

"It's my grandson's life, everything is relevant"—Dorea said to him, and Snape shut up, the woman reminded him of Bellatrix.

"Mom played for the Harpies for four years and then became the star chaser for England, when she retired she became a writer for magic sports illustrator."

"That's hot"—James said, Lily coughing next to him.—"Unspeakables are hot too dear"

—Lily rolled her eyes but had an amused smile.

'Bless my soul,' whispered the old barman. 'Harry Potter … what an honour.' Harry found himself shaking hands with everyone in the Leaky Cauldron. ' Harry shook hands again and again – Doris Crockford kept coming back for more.

"This is disgusting my grandson is a child. Why do these people think they have a right to grab him like this"—

"Because he's a Hero to them"

"A child? He is the Scion of two Noble houses"—Dorea said. – "Without Sirius, Harry is the next Heir to the House of Black and these people are manhandling him"

Andy frown. She knew her Sister had a son. — "What about Cissy's boy? wasn't Sirius disowned?"

Dorea looked up at her— "No, only by his mother. Never entirely"

Sirius made a face— "Arcturus didn't want to put all of his eggs in one basket"

Those in the Room who didn't know that were surprised. After the war, Sirius would be a very rich and powerful man.

'Professor Quirrell!' said Hagrid. 'Harry, Professor Quirrell will be one of your teachers at Hogwarts.' 'D-Defence Against the D-D-Dark Arts,' muttered Professor Quirrell, as though he'd rather not think

Remus sighed disappointed—"Is this a Joke?"

"Is this Quirinus Quirrell? He was four years below us in Ravenclaw. Remember?"—Alice said— "He asked Michelle Peterson to Hogsmeade with a box of biscuits"—

Lily and Marlene nodded. – "He must be in what seventh year?"

"Yes"—Minerva said sharing a look with Dumbledore—"But he doesn't have a stutter"

They say he met vampires in the Black Forest and there was a nasty bit o' trouble with a hag – never been the same since. Scared of the students, scared of his own subject – now.

Remus frowned.—"Then why hired him? The children won't learn anything, we barely did, and we had some decent teachers."

'Welcome,' said Hagrid, 'to Diagon Alley. 'He grinned at Harry's amazement.

Lily sniffed—"I'll be dehydrated by the end of these books."

'Dragon liver, sixteen Sickles an ounce, they're mad …'

"Excuse me what?"—Molly said outraged—"they are insane."

"That could have been you"—James said chuckling.

"She was"—A.P. said smiling in his face—"You and Dad never knew"

Dumbledore nodded—"So we are always there?"

"In a way"

Several boys of about Harry's age had their noses pressed against a window with broomsticks in it. 'Look,' Harry heard one of them say, 'the new Nimbus Two Thousand – fastest ever –'

The quidditch aficionados leaned forward— "A nimbus two thousand. They are in Nimbus 1945 in honor of Grindelwald's defeat…."

A.P. spoke again—"I believe they tried to do 1981 in your honor but the Nimbus went through a rough patch and had to wait, the Nimbus two thousand was their comeback. Something of the Future they called it."

James didn't know what to do with that information.

'Yeah, that's a goblin,' said Hagrid quietly as they walked up the white stone steps towards him. The goblin was about a head shorter than Harry. He had a swarthy, clever face, a pointed beard and, Harry noticed, very long fingers and feet. He bowed as they walked inside.

"Bow back"—James, Sirius, and Frank said remembering their training.

Dorea sighed—"This is why sending Hagrid was a bad idea. Harry is the last of his house he needs to know these manners. When did he learn?"—She said looking at A.P.

"Um, I believe he learned a little during fifth year but most of it after the war."

"That's unacceptable"—Dorea said shaking her head.

Hagrid started emptying his pockets on to the counter, scattering a handful of mouldy dog-biscuits over the goblin's book of numbers. The goblin wrinkled his nose.

James and Monty sat up straight. —"Why does he have the key to the vault?"

"Which Vault?"—James asked— "It has to be the trust fund vault he can't access the others."

Snape made a face of disgust, even here Potter couldn't stop bragging.

Dorea shook her head—"No, Hagrid you don't do something like that, the goblins are/needed to be treated with respect."—

Snape frowned. He wasn't sure about that.

'It's about the You-Know-What in vault seven hundred and thirteen.' The goblin read the letter carefully.

Minerva sighed exasperated—"Not in front of him. A son of these two won't let that go"

Griphook!'Griphook was yet another goblin. Once Hagrid had crammed all the dog-biscuits back inside his pockets, he and Harry followed Griphook

"Griphook is a lesser goblin…Dumbledore what are you doing?"—Monty asked him

At first they just hurtled through a maze of twisting passages. Harry tried to remember, left, right, right, left, middle fork, right, left, but it was impossible.

"I'm impressed, he has a good memory"—Andromeda said.

And all the time there had been a small fortune belonging to him, buried deep under London.

"Imagine when he finds out that it's only his trust fund"—James chuckled.

Lily shook her head— "Hopefully he knows how to control his impulses."

Monty frowned—"You didn't arrange your will"—he stated to James

"I did, if I die everything goes to Harry, Sirius, or Remus. Frank here is my last resource… we are all in danger."—He shrugged hopelessly

A.P.— "Things changed after the war. Sirius was in Azkaban, Remus couldn't because of the Werewolves' laws, and I believe Dumbledore was able to get the key because of him being a supreme warlock and all that stuff."

Frank noticed he didn't talk about him.

'One speed only,' said Griphook.

"Not true, there is a speed for pregnant women"—Alice said, Hagrid frowned he really needed to fix his behavior with the goblins. Maybe ask Mrs. Potter what to do.

Harry leant over the side to try and see what was down at the dark bottom but Hagrid groaned and pulled him back by the scruff of his neck.

"Harry!"—Marlene said surprised her hands in Infront of her as if she were to catch him.

Dorea sighed— "No self-preservation."

"Maybe he flies, Lily can do that"—James said.

Then he noticed a grubby little package wrapped up in brown paper lying on the floor. Hagrid picked it up and tucked it deep inside his coat. Harry longed to know what it was but knew better than to ask.

"Why send Hagrid to pick it up when he had Harry?"—

"What is it?"

"The philosopher stone"—Lily, Remus, Frank, Snape, and Monty said at the same time.

Dumbledore chuckled— "It's in the title, though I do wonder what it has to do with young Harry"—He turned to his namesake but he shook his head.

Harry didn't know where to run first now that he had a bag full of money. He didn't have to know how many Galleons there were to a pound to know that he was holding more money than he'd had in his whole life

"Go buy the broom son"—James said excitedly

"And do what, he can't take it"—Lily said— "And my Son won't play quidditch."

Sirius and James groaned, they were not having that conversation again.

'Listen, Harry, would yeh mind if I slipped off fer a pick-me-up in the Leaky Cauldron?

"No, don't leave him alone"—Kingsley said— "You don't know who's watching Hagrid and everyone in the Pub already knows he was there so the alley already knows Harry Potter is walking around."

"I'm sure I didn't take long"

'My father's next door buying my books and mother's up the street looking at wands,' said the boy. He had a bored, drawling voice. I think I'll bully father into getting me one and I'll smuggle it in somehow.

"Dudley? Harry, he sounds like your father"—Remus mocked

"Hey!"

Snape almost agreed out loud.

A.P. had to contain his smile.

'No,' Harry said again, wondering what on earth Quidditch could be.

James shook his head in disappointment and Lily laughed. – "Let it rest, what are you going to do if he doesn't like it?"

"Nothing, buy him a big changing poster to support his team. Doesn't hurt any less though"

'Well, no one really knows until they get there, do they, but I know I'll be in Slytherin, all our family have been – imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?'

"I take it back, he sounds like Sirius now"

"He's one of those, I wonder, he can't be a Black…"
"Can't he? Cissy had a boy"

Snape's eyes narrowed, could that boy be young Draco Malfoy?

"Of course, a little spawn of Malfoy"—Sirius said snapping his fingers.

"Why do you think he's a Malfoy or Black, it can be any other 28"

Augusta spoke. —"No, no one here has a direct relation with any other house, unless he's a Lestrange also connected to the Black family. I don't see the relevance to any other family house in Slytherin."

—Dorea agreed with her.

'He's the gamekeeper,' said Harry. He was liking the boy less and less every second. 'Yes, exactly. I heard he's a sort of savage –' 'I think he's brilliant,' said Harry coldly.

Hagrid blushed in embarrassment.

"Don't listen to him Hagrid."—Alice said softly.

"Well whoever his parents are, they clearly didn't raise him right"—Augusta shook her head.

'Why is he with you? Where are your parents?' 'They're dead,' said Harry shortly. He didn't feel much like going into the matter with this boy.

"Harry wasn't having his shit"- James said –"Though a little too blunt"

'But they were our kind, weren't they?'

'They were a witch and wizard, if that's what you mean.'

Monty smiled proudly— "Good answer Harry. This boy is eleven years old. What are his parent telling him?"

Sirius sighed— "Probably the same shit mine told me."

'I really don't think they should let the other sort in, do you? They're just not the same, they've never been brought up to know our ways. Some of them have never even heard of Hogwarts until they get the letter, imagine. I think they should keep it in the old wizarding families.

"What kind of pureblood propaganda is this? Have they lost common sense, the 28 have always been very careful with who they talk this shit."—Marlene sneered—"what did the future turn into that this boy is talking about blood supremacy in the middle of Diagon?"

A.P. Smiled sadly, he always felt some form of pain for poor young Draco Malfoy. His father-in-law had changed a lot during the years after the war, but he couldn't imagine what he truly could have been if only Narcissa would have gotten him out of Lucius Malfoys grasp sooner. – "He is a boy whose Father ended with too much power and grew up believing he owned the world until he realized how big the world truly was."

'Don't make me feel worse,' said Harry. He told Hagrid about the pale boy in Madam Malkin's. '– and he said people from Muggle families shouldn't even be allowed in –

"I don't like this whole, -the world knows who you are— my son has no idea who he is, and he's already being scrutinized by the expectations of everyone"—James frowned.

"Muggles clean the magic and bloodlines. Inbreeding in the pureblood families produce too many squibs."—McGonagall said tensely

"Or they affect conception"—Dorea said smiling toward James.

'And what are Slytherin and Hufflepuff?'

'School houses. There's four. Everyone says Hufflepuff are a lot o' duffers, but –' 'I bet I'm in Hufflepuff,' said Harry gloomily.

"Hey!"—Ted said indignantly— "I do not appreciate that. You will create misconceptions in the boy"

—Andromeda laughed at her Husband.—"Calm down, Love I'm sure Hagrid didn't mean it like that"

'Better Hufflepuff than Slytherin,' said Hagrid darkly. 'There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin. You-Know-Who was one.'

"He is going to hate the Slytherins isn't he?"—Dorea shook her head.

"Do you want him to go to your house Mother?"—James said regally to spite her.

"Hush boy, I know he wouldn't fit in. Heavens know I prayed for you to not end there, but all this hostility between Snakes and Lions is tiresome"

"It doesn't help much that in the last 70 years, we have been through two wars regarding blood purity."— Kingsley was saying, now that he had spent some time with them, he felt a little more comfortable talking. —" Let's not forget the multiple conflicts before Queen Victoria stepped into the throne, also in relation to the power of muggles. It's been a tumultuous 150 years and the Slytherins, although not always the main instigators aren't too far off the hook."

A.P. – "In my time we get along just fine."-

Sirius spoke to him for the first time—"What house were you in?"

A.P. Smiled— "I'm the first Potter in 300 years to end in Slytherin."

James made a face— "Umm, did you play quidditch?"

A.P. laughed— "Is that how I redeem myself?"

"Yes"

A.P. rolled his eyes—"I did, a beater though I only played for two years"

"Good enough for me"

Dorea gave A.P. a thumbs up. Making him chuckle

They bought Harry's school books in a shop called Flourish and Blotts where the Hagrid almost had to drag Harry away from Curses and Counter-Curses (Bewitch your Friends and Befuddle your Enemieswith the Latest Revenges: Hair Loss, Jelly-Legs, Tongue-Tying and much, much more) by Professor Vindictus Viridian.

"That Is actually a good book."—Remus said

Lily smiled; she wondered if her son liked to read. Probably if he had been raised by her or Remus, but he probably only read enough to do his homework.

"I see things haven't changed much"

"Maybe that's the problem"—Lily voiced—"The muggle world is always reinventing itself. Something new and futuristic is being created and the wizarding world as beautiful as it is, feels kind of stuck."

Kingsley nodded, he spent a lot of time in the Muggle world, and it was true, the only real technological thing they had was the night bus and he could imagine many purebloods owning a car if they wanted but they just didn't appreciate Muggle science.

Harry felt himself go red. Twenty minutes later, they left Eeylops Owl Emporium, which had been dark and full of rustling and flickering, jewel-bright eyes. Harry now carried a large cage which held a beautiful snowy owl.

"Oh Hagrid, bless your heart"—Lily smiled kindly.

Ollivanders: Makers ofFine Wands since 382 BC. A single wand lay on a faded purple cushion in the For some reason, the back of his neck prickled. The very dust and silence in here seemed to tingle with some secret magic.

Alastor moved forward; the boy sensed magic. That was interesting, his father was good, but it was his mother that sensed those things. He had tried many times to pursue little Mrs. Potter to the Aurors but the woman was determined to cape herself in secrets.

"Oh, he feels magic. He will be a great unspeakable"—Monty said happily and Alastor grunted.

'Ah yes,' said the man. 'Yes, yes. I thought I'd be seeing you soon. Harry Potter.' 'You have your mother's eyes. It seems only yesterday she was in here herself, buying her first wand.

Ten and a quarter inches long, swishy, made of willow. Nice wand for charm work.''Your father, on the other hand, favoured a mahogany wand. Eleven inches. Pliable. A little more power and excellent for transfiguration.

"Don't say"—James chuckled. Lily rolled her eyes, and she leaned in to whisper—"I have always believed Minerva knows."

–James looked at his old professor—"So did we, but she always had a soft spot for us"

Mr Ollivander touched the lightning scar on Harry's forehead with a long, white finger.

"Don't touch the pup"—Sirius said—"Olivander has always been a little bit of a creep"

"All wand makers, it's their magic. They feel and see too much and yet not enough"

'I'm sorry to say I sold the wand that did it,' he said softly. 'Thirteen and a half inches. Yew. Powerful wand, very powerful, and in the wrong hands …

He shook his head and then, to Harry's relief, spotted Hagrid.

"Harry needs to learn how to say no"—Andromeda said

"Or fuck off"—Remus said, and Dorea chastise him.

'Oh, no, sir,' said Hagrid quickly. Harry noticed he gripped his pink umbrella very tightly as he spoke.

Everyone turned to look at the pink umbrella next to Hagrid who was looking mortified. they already knew he used it, but the book confirmed it in such an obvious way it had been inevitable. A.P. spoke to Hagrid—"Hopefully, they will be able to clear your name and finish your schooling."

t ried. And tried. He had no idea what Mr Ollivander was waiting for. The pile of tried wands was mounting higher and higher.

"He enjoys a challenge."—Dumbledore spoke—"It took me 37 times to find my wand"—

"12"—Dorea chuckled.

Snape stayed quiet until all eyes stared at him—"14"

A.P.—"I love it when you get involved in the story. It means you are paying attention and understanding the significance. My father and I shared this; it took 27 wands before we found the right one"

I wonder, now – yes, why not – unusual combination – holly and phoenix feather, eleven inches, nice and supple.' Harry took the wand. He felt a sudden warmth in his fingers. He raised the wand above his head, brought it swishing down through the dusty air and a stream of red and gold sparks shot from the end like a firework.

"Gryffindor"—Remus laughed.

"Connecting to your wand it's like reattaching a limb you didn't know was missing"—Alice said kindly

the phoenix whose tail feather is in your wand, gave another feather – just one other.

Dumbledore sat up straight. Startling all of them, he looked at A.P. who nodded solemnly. Dumbledore frowned, so Harry and Voldemort's wands were sisters. How peculiar.

Lily didn't like the secret stares—"What is happening?"

It is very curious indeed that you should be destined for this wand when its brother – why, its brother gave you that scar.'

The silence was heavy in the room. Until Dorea spoke. — "Their wands are sisters. What does that mean?"
"That they share a connection right?"—

"Not necessarily"—Dumbledore spoke

A.P.— "Yes, necessarily. Dad and Voldemort are connected because Voldemort chose him as his equal. The phoenix feather is from Fawkes. Dumbledore's Familiar…it does not mean dad is evil just that his destiny is sealed."

Lily started whimpering again— "My poor boy can't catch a break, he's a child for heaven's sake"-

James hugged and kissed her temple— "He's a Potter, flower, whatever they throw at him, he will be able to come victorious."
"I know, but we aren't there to help him."

'Everyone thinks I'm special,' he said at last. 'All those people in the Leaky Cauldron, Professor Quirrell, Mr Ollivander … but I don't know anything about magic at all.

Andromeda didn't like this at all. —"I can't imagine the pressure he must be feeling. He just got reintroduced to magic, he comes from an abusive household, and the world knows who he is but he doesn't, he is starting to grieve the parents he never knew at the same time that he is coming to terms with him being idolized because of their murder…"—She stopped talking when Ted tapped her shoulder and pointed at Lily who was looking at her wide eye.—"I'm sorry sometimes I just think out loud"

Sirius— "You said no lies Dromeda, this isn't good for him and I'm starting to doubt anyone will help him understand. And he won't ask because abused children don't want to be a bother"—he said angrily.

'Don' you worry, Harry. You'll learn fast enough. Everyone starts at the beginning at Hogwarts, you'll be just fine. Just be yerself. I know it's hard. Yeh've been singled out, an' that's always hard. But yeh'll have a great time at Hogwarts – I did – still do, 'smatter of fact.'

"That was good pep talk Hagrid, but Harry needs to sit down and discuss these new changes with someone."-

A.P. Pause the book. — "We can take a break"

Hello guys, please review and remember I do this for fun.
