CHAPTER TWO Dobby's Warning

Alice shook her head— "Security breach."

"It's a house elf"—James said, leaning into the couch. — "What the hell Is a house elf doing in Surrey."

"It just apparated into his room."—Mad-eye said— "Where are the wards?"

"So long has Dobby wanted to meet you, sir… Such an honor it is…"

"Even with the elves he is famous"—Lily whispered— "What is going on?"

Sirius kept frowning— "Nobody realizes how bad this is?"—

"Yes"—Monty said— "Anyone with a house elf could kidnap Harry and never be found."

Dorea smiled kindly; Harry sounded like such a sweet boy. – "He is so nice."

"He is about to get into trouble, that elf is being loud."

"Sit down," said Harry politely, pointing at the bed. To his horror, the elf burst into tears — very noisy tears.

Sirius flinch— "Oh shit."

"No, no shut up"—Lily said alarmed.

"Dobby has never been asked to sit down by a wizard-like an equal —"

"He belongs to one of those family's"—

Andromeda sighed— "Please tell me he doesn't belong to our family."

Sirius said-"There is no one left."

Andromeda gave him a pointed look, James shook his head— "No, not Malfoy"

started banging his head furiously on the window, shouting, "Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!"

"What is happening!"—Lily said.

"He spoke ill of his owners."

Lily looked outraged— "I understand the elves-owners relationship but I…"

"Didn't realize how bad it was?"—Sirius said rolling his eyes.

"For Merlin's sake, even Hedwig is making noise"—

Dobby will have to shut his ears in the oven door for this.

"Jesus"—Lily said— "Why hasn't this situation been addressed."

Remus laughed out loud; he apologized when Lily glared at him. - "Sorry but nobody cares. They are even lower than werewolves."—

"Foreshadowing, why does it feel like Harry will free him."

James sighed and pulled at his hair—" That means Harry will get close to Malfoy."

"You stupid elf shut up"

—Marlene shushed Sirius.

Ted was confused—"Where did he hear of him? Do elves have their own like…meeting grounds?"

"I suppose. I mean they can't be busy all the time."—Kingsley said.

"The elves' situation is exactly like the one with the pureblood family, they are so inbreed between them, they all know each other."

I'm not even top of my year at Hogwarts; that's Hermione, she —"

"Don't sell yourself short love"

Thinking about Ron was painful, too.

Molly made a sad noise— "Oh, why haven't we sent him any letters?"

"that Harry Potter met the Dark Lord for a second time just weeks ago… that Harry Potter escaped yet again."

Dumbledore leaned forward.

Alice frowned— "I don't think…that was public information.

Dumbledore—"The ministry must know; I am bound to inform them in case of death but…"

"His owner knows"—Monty stated— "Which means Harry is the topic of conversation in the pureblood tea rooms."

Harry Potter must not go back to Hogwarts."

Lily groaned— "What now?"

"The hell, whatever is happening in Hogwarts is probably better than the Dursleys"—Sirius said.

"There is a plot, Harry Potter. A plot to make most terrible things happen at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year,"

Dumbledore looked alarmed and Minerva frowned— "It's a school full of children, who in their right mind would hurt them."

Molly shook her head— "Firenze said it, the innocent suffers first."

"Dobby has known it for months, sir. Harry Potter must not put himself in peril. He is too important, sir!"

Frank said— "Did he say months? As in this has been planned since Harry was in school?"

Monty pressed his lips. — "They probably waited for Harry to show up in the wizarding world again"

James looked angry— "My son is a child; those idiot fuckers can't possibly believe he was the one to defeat Voldemort."

"Wasn't he?"—Snape said.

"Are you an idiot snape, my son was a child. It was Lily's magic that destroyed Voldemort, what the hell would my one-year-old do? Avada the bastard with his finger…fucking death eaters and their idiotic beliefs"—

Snape glared at him. – "Perhaps your little mind doesn't realize the death eaters would want someone to blame."

James looked at him with distaste. - "Yes, grown man going after a child. Nothing more than filth with too much ego…"

"You would know."

"Do you want to fight with me, that's it?"—James stood up— "Get up, let's get it out of the way, you think I can't throw killing cursed and sectusempras…."

Lily tensed— "Please enough."

"No no…Lily let your death eater friend talk."

Lily glared at her husband— "He is not my friend"

"I don't think he knows that."

Lily turned to Snape, whose eyes were looking at James. McGonagall was holding him from the shoulder— "He is not my friend."

"James!"—Dorea said— "That's enough, we are not here to fight."

James scoffed and sat down. Lily grabbed his hand, she started whispering at him to calm down, he rolled his shoulders and nodded at her, Dorea sighed she would have to talk to her son soon enough.

Dobby made a funny choking noise and then banged his head frantically against the wall.

The atmosphere was tense, but Arthur tried to clear the tension— "He is going against his master's wishes."

"I don't think he had strict orders to not tell…he is just going through the loopholes."

"Not — not He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, sir —" But Dobby's eyes were wide and he seemed to be trying to give Harry a hint. Harry, however, was completely lost.

Sirius frowned— "So it's someone who works for Voldemort."

Marlene shook her head— "I think it's Voldemort."

"I am as confused as Harry."

Kingsley frowned. — "But what exactly is the plan, Kidnap Harry, terrorize him, Kill him?"

"Yes, thank you, Kingsley…"—James said looking at Lily whose eyes were closed in pain.

"there are powers Dumbledore doesn't… powers no decent wizard…"

They all turned to A.P.

-"Foreshadowing?"—Ted asked

Monty and Dumbledore shared a look, they would have to sit down and discuss what could they start doing in case Voldemort did indulge in defying magic.

Albus Potter smiled sadly, the reaction he always gets when they find out about the Horcrux fascinates him, so many people are ignorant of the dangers of magic and so many are aware of the trouble Harry would face that they immediately break down.

"Friends who don't even write to Harry Potter?" said Dobby slyly.

"That fucking elf"—Sirius said angrily.

"What?"—Andromeda turned to him.

"He has his mail."

"Harry Potter will have them, sir, if he gives Dobby his word that he will not return to Hogwarts.

"Lie."

"He won't"

"Kick him"

"Sirius is everything Violent with you."

Marlene— "This is going to get him in trouble."

Aunt Petunia's masterpiece of a pudding was floating up near the ceiling.

Lily let out a breath— "She is going to kill him."

James was shaking— "Who the hell does this crazy elf belong to."

Uncle Vernon burst into the kitchen to find Harry, rigid with shock, covered from head to foot in Aunt Petunia's pudding.

"Oh no no…quickly explain"—Lily said.

"There will be no need, they won't believe him."

"They don't know about the no magic rule."—Augusta reminded them.

a huge barn owl swooped through the dining room window.

"Fuck, the muggle is there"—Mad-eye said.

"It's very contradictory"—Marlene said— "You don't want the muggles to see but you send in an owl to deliver the message."

"It's stupid, the ministry needs to fix that."

"Dobby blew his cover"—Frank said.

"Locking him up!"—Dorea said—"They can't do that"

"They have been doing that for years."

he paid a man to fit bars on Harry's window. He fitted a cat flap in the bedroom door so that small amounts of food could be pushed inside three times a day. They let Harry out to use the bathroom morning and evening.

Lily frowned— "Who is the problem? My sister or Vernon"

James rolled his eyes—"They both feed the ugliness inside, safe your sister if you wish but I want them away from my child"

The soup was stone-cold, but he drank half of it in one gulp.

Lily cried— "Oh Petunia, he is your nephew in innocent child and you…"—Her whole body trembled with anger—"I can't believe she would do this; I was never mean to her, life just gave us different things...was I mean to her?

Snape answered him- "Your sister has always been like that, no..."

"Don't talk to me! You treat my son with the same hate... shut up."

James grabbed her hand, startled by her anger at Snape. –"Easy."

Remus smiled. "He's a good boy, he takes care of Hedwig even if she doesn't need to eat as much as him."

Supposing he was still alive in another four weeks.

Lily sniffed. She turned to Albus— "Does your Harry speak of this?"

"Mmm, no. After the war Dad didn't have much contact with them, we grew up knowing nothing of the Dursleys, other than that they had been the family that took him when he was a kid, it was when we all left Hogwarts that we found out the truth and mostly because of my jumps."

Lily shook her head in acknowledgment.

Andromeda rubbed at her temple— "His hunger is making him hallucinate, I don't think this a dream. This can jeopardize his growth."

"Severely?"—James asked.

"Hogwarts will help but probably it would take many years to fix the starvation that I'm sure has been going on for years."

Ron Weasley was outside Harry's window.

"WHAT!"—Molly screamed, making Ginny cry.

While Molly settled Ginny down the rest took in opportunity to use the bathroom and get something to snack.

The girls went with Lily to "check" on the kids.

"Lily…how are you doing?"

Lily sighed, the kids swimming a few meters away, she saw Harry and Ron playing in a small sandbox.

"I…am angry. I can't believe Tunney would do something like this…if Dudley had ended with us. Jamie and I would never treat him like this."

"She is not you"—Alice bit her lip— "I do agree with James."

Lily turned to her.

"She shouldn't be around you or Harry."

"But this Petunia hasn't done this."

Marlene smiled sadly at Lily— "Doesn't mean the feeling of hurting you or something that belongs to you isn't there. Her treatment of Harry is the same as Snapes, it comes out of jealousy and hate."

"I know, it's just it's difficult to comprehend why she feels the need to do that."

"Because that's just who she is love"—Alice sighed.

Remus came to get them. Lily quickly sat down again; James was waiting for her with a glass of pumpkin juice. —"Drink love. I asked the elves to make orange juice for later"—Lily smiled.

CHAPTER THREE The Burrow

Ron was leaning out of the back window of an old turquoise car, which was parked in midair. Grinning at Harry from the front seats were Fred and George.

Arthur shook his head amused— "For heaven's sake, all three…just thankful that they didn't decide to bring Ginny."

Molly turned to him in disbelief— "Are you listening to yourself, they are in a flying muggle car, where did they…how…this is your fault."

Arthur was startled— "My…why?"

"You are the one that likes all of this stuff."

Dad came home and said you'd got an official warning for using magic in front of Muggles —"

"Those are supposed to be private how does Arthur know?"

"Gossip Ted, that's what it is…everyone in the ministry likes to talk about other people's problems."

It's Dad's, we didn't enchant it.

"You are in so much trouble"—Molly half-whispered— "I can't imagine how you convinced me…"

"I might have an idea…"—Arthur said cheekily making Molly blush and the rest of the couples in the room laugh.

can you tell them at Hogwarts that the Dursleys have locked me up and won't let me come back?

"Harry what the fuck are you talking about"—Remus said amused.

Sirius facepalmed himself— "…saying dumb shit…"

"Harry get in the fucking car!"—James stated

"Oh, he is little"—Lily admonished them— "He's confused and probably severely dehydrated."

"We've come to take you home with us."

Dorea made a sound of approval. — "You do just that boys"—she turned to Molly— "You've raised good boys."

Monty smiled and nodded in approval, those are the types of friends you need, he turned to the marauders and his smile fell a little, poor Peter he thought, when had that boy changed, he didn't know but he would make sure to ask him when they find him.

They cheered when the twins took down the bars.

"They have to move quick"—Kingsley said— "That had to wake up someone."

George took an ordinary hairpin from his pocket and started to pick the lock.

"A lot of wizards think it's a waste of time, there was a small click and the door swung open.

"You have to use anything as an advantage."

Dorea turned to her son— "Do you know how to do this?"

"Yes, Remus taught us"—

Remus smiled sheepishly— "My mom learned muggle magic tricks to mock dad and she taught me."

Minerva sighed, it seemed she would never be rid of troublemakers. She didn't want to even imagine what those two got into in normal days.

Alice said hurriedly— "Oh they are awake."

"No! how could you forget Hedwig"—Hagrid sighed—Quickly Harry, why don't they let him leave?"

"I don't know…you would think Vernon would want him out of his house"—Marlene stated.

Augusta denied— "No, he wants to have the upper hand, he wants the control."

"See you next summer!" Harry yelled.

Ted laughed— "Yeah but Harry will have the last words."

said Fred, Someone's idea of a joke.

Lily scoffed— "That's a horrible joke"

"Elves don't listen to the children's orders unless they are of age."

"Lucius Malfoy came back saying he'd never meant any of it. A load of dung — Dad reckons he was right in You-Know-Who's inner circle."

Everyone turned to A.P. who nodded.

"So, he bought his way out."

"A lot of people did"—A.P. said.

Lily nodded. — "It happens in a lot of wars, money always talks."

he could just see Malfoy strutting around a large manor house.

James grunted- "our house is beautiful, and he doesn't know it, the sunroom, the study, the blue room, he loves to be in the blue room."

Lily kissed him on the cheek. – "I'm sure he found it eventually."

A.P.— "He did, that's where he lives right now."

Dorea and Monty smiled— "Alone though?"—

"No, with mom and my oldest brother with his wife and his sons."

Lily and Dorea looked at each other, they wanted to ask more but refrained they would do it later.

Arthur frowned— "Percy sounds a little too detached from us"

"He sounds ambitious"—Augusta warned.

"Why the tone?"—Molly accused.—"There is nothing wrong with that"

"Because that's how people give their back on family."

"He's just a boy"—Molly defended him.

"Yeah, but he doesn't sound very kind to his brothers does he."

Arthur stopped Molly from fighting, he didn't want to agree with Augusta, but Percy did sound a little too pompous.

I mean, there are only so many times you can polish a prefect badge…

The marauders and Frank started laughing out loud, even Snape had to fight his smile.

It was Sirius who spoke— "Maybe he is polishing something else."

Andromeda covered her mouth at Molly's outraged gasp. – "He is….

"A sixteen-year-old boy"—James stated— "Come on Molly if you have a hot girlfriend your imagination and actions run wild."

Lily covered her face in his shoulder— "We are sidetracking."

"We are"—Minerva said glaring at Dumbledore who was chuckling. – "Let's stay focused."

Arthur smiled at the description his children did of his work, he supposed they wanted more adventurous jobs.

He takes it apart, puts spells on it, and puts it back together again. If he raided our house he'd have to put himself under arrest.

Arthur ducked his hand embarrassed while his wife mumbled about recklessness. Kingsley and Mad-eye sighed, -"Arthur clean it up, or just make sure no one can find it."

"I haven't even started it yet."

Monty chuckled— "Yet..., is the key word."

It looked as though it had once been a large stone pigpen, but extra rooms had been added here and there until it was several stories high and so crooked it looked as though it were held up by magic.

Arthur smiled a bit sadly, he knew very well who was in the room with him, the Weasleys should have the same privilege and honor as the Potters and the Longbottoms, not to mention the Blacks, it was not like that and although he was proud of what he had achieved, he was always aware of what others thought of him.

"That must take a lot of charm work"—Remus said.

"Which I pass with a N.E.W.T"

"Dad also added a few rooms with magic to our house, in a way it makes it warmer." –Remus smiled

"It's wonderful," said Harry happily.

The Potter smiled at Harry's words.

said Fred wait for Mum to call us for breakfast Then, Ron, you come bounding downstairs going, 'Mum, look who turned up in the night!'

Dumbledore chuckled. – "Ah the uncomplicated mind of the young"

"What do they think Molly is going to believe, that he walked there."

"From Surrey to Devon that's one hell of a walk"—

"Oh no, Molly Is there."

Marlene laughed— "Love, she is right in front of you."

"Perfect Percy," muttered Fred.

"YOU COULD DO WITH TAKING A LEAF OUT OF PERCY'S BOOK!" yelled Mrs.

Weasley

Marlene looked at Molly— "Don't do that, putting one brother over the others is not a good idea, take it from the only girl in the McKinnon family of two boys, we get competitive."

"But…he could be their example"

"No"—Lily said— "It creates fights between them."

"I'm very pleased to see you, Harry, dear," she said. "Come in and have some breakfast."

"Hey, that's not fair..."

"James that's your son."

"Still, that is preference." -this one said.

The clock on the wall opposite him had only one hand and no numbers at all. Written around the edge were things like Time to make tea, Time to feed the chickens, and You're late.

A.P. smiled, that was a system that followed the Weasley children and later their grandkids, Lily hated it and yet she used it with her kids.

Marlene turned to Sirius. — "That sounds like a really good system"—

"Going to use it with our kids?"

Remus chuckled— "I think she was thinking about you."

"They were starving him, Mum!" said George.

"What the hell Molly why didn't you listen."

"Molly!"—Arthur said— "What are you doing?"

Molly looked perplexed— "I …don't know. I probably think it's a prank or joke."

"This is why it's wrong to joke all the time"—Minerva said.

"Or"—Sirius said looking at the book—"Pay attention to your children."

"What does that supposed to mean Sirius Black."

"That you clearly have favorites, and the twins are not them, you are not even listing, dismissing what they are saying because you're disapproving them, believe me, I know what not being the favorite child looks like"—

Molly glared at him but kept her mouth shut, she wasn't going to fight with him.

in the form of a small, redheaded figure in a long nightdress, gave a small squeal, and ran out again. "Ginny," said Ron

"aww"—the girls said – "She has a crush."

"What is it with you and redheads"—Remus said to the Potters who shrugged.

"We are cursed."

"She is the only girl; they will make fun of her."

Dorea smiled—"And technically it's her who has the crush, not Harry"

snapped Mrs. Weasley. "It's your fault you've been up all night. You're going to de-gnome the garden for me.

"Why?"—

Molly turned to Sirius. —"Gnomes are little…"

"I know what they are Molly, we have them at the house."

"I thought the Black residency is …"

"he means our house"—Dorea smiled— "We don't de-gnome regularly, Monty likes to have them around."

"They created a little barricade around our forest."—James said.

There was a big photograph on the front of a very good-looking wizard with wavy blond hair and bright blue eyes.

Remus tilted his head to the side— "He sounds familiar."

"He didn't go to school with us"

"No, I read his name somewhere."

Minerva frowned—"Gilderoy Lockhart, Ravenclaw he graduated averagely and is now a writer, I suppose a successful one"

"They love it here… Dad's too soft with them; he thinks they're funny…"

"They are beneficial" _-Monty said— "They help with pests."

"Oh, it seems like you have a lot of work, Arthur"—Molly stated.

"Nine raids. Nine!

"A lot of work"—Arthur whistled.

"Fletcher can't be trusted"—James said.

a key that keeps shrinking to nothing so they can never find it when they need it.

Lily huffed— "That's just so mean."

Arthur smiled— "Harmful pranks but it can get nasty very quickly."

"Arthur Weasley, you made sure there was a loophole when you wrote that law!"

"I wrote a law!"—he beamed.

Kingsley sighed—"That's a very expensive fine, Arthur"

"Harry?" said Mr. Weasley blankly. "Harry who?"

A.P. laughed—"And just like that you became dad favorite person"

"Did you really?" said Mr. Weasley eagerly. "Did it go all right? I — I mean," he faltered

"Ah you're a chill dad"—Remus mocked.

Harry just caught sight of a pair of bright brown eyes staring at him before it closed with a snap.

James smiled sadly— "Poor sweetheart"—he turned to the baby in the cot— "if she's like me she will embarrass herself a lot."

Lily laughed and hugged him by the waist. — "We girls are more subtle."

Nearly everything in Ron's room seemed to be a violent shade of orange: the bedspread, the walls, even the ceiling.

"Cannons suck"—Frank mocked—"Chose a better team, Ron."

"Maybe they will be better in the future"

Remus winced—"Nine in the league! Damn, they don't have a good year do they."

Harry, grinning widely, said, "This is the best house I've ever been in."

The Weasley beamed and the Potter smiled with sadness. Their house is better and it's his and he didn't even know existed.
