Chapter 3 Passage of Combat Skills II: Masters of Tactical Combat
Tsunade is wondering about how her son in all, but blood is doing getting into such fighting form she looked through the History books about any method of shinobi training her adoptive son is getting into and using. So far, she came up empty.
She thinks back to how fluid Naruto subdued Sasuke in only a few moves.
'Whatever this method is Naruto I hope you know what your doing' she thinks as she goes back to her paperwork.
With Naruto
Naruto has finished the passages of the Iron fist and the Blue Mongol Wrestler. Soon the passages release a pair of special fingerless gauntlet battle glove hybrids from it's pages. 'Hmm their ideal for both striking and grappling as well as weapon holding and handling' thought Naruto as he tries on the gloves to feel they are both very flexible and firmly hard. He can't wait to see the damage done. Naruto then goes to the second passage to see three particular warriors in question. Each one is known for their cunning, ability to improvise and adapt.
These warriors are Frank Castle known to his enemies only as the vigilante the Punisher, Lieutenant Marion Cobretti and a legend in the nation of the other two warriors, his name is John Rambo.
Naruto begins to read about Frank Castle the Punisher first.
In the Spirit Walk of Frank Castle the Punisher
Frank Castle is fighting against a large group of enemies of various types from normal street thugs to mercenaries to ninja assassins in a construction yard. Frank uses ever ounce of his strength and determination using his skills he learned from the military to slowly wipe out the group using what he learned from the military to his martial arts training. Some he had to improvise and adapt using various weapons found in the environment ranging from lead pipes, bricks, dead bodies of recently killed enemies, various construction tools and lastly dust. Soon the enemy is wiped out.
'(pants) Man that was a fight they are really coming out of the woodwork for this fight. I wonder' Frank didn't get the chance as he gets hit with a throwing star aimed at his arm.
Timeskip 1 hour and 30 minutes later.
Frank is engaged in a brutal one on one fight with the world class assassin and martial artist Bullseye.
Bullseye is throwing well calculated punches and kicks at the Punisher. Frank evades or blocks some of these strikes but with pain knowing of Bullseye's adamantium laced bones on his hands and feet.
'Bullseye's playing harder time to play smarter' thought Frank as he switches up his tactics going with a loose street fighter approach Bullseye isn't use to. Frank goes for gut punches, sweeps, slams, throws and back hands. Finishing it off with a double hammer fist to Bullseye. Before Frank could end his life a police helicopter shows up. 'Damn your lucky day Bullseye' thought Frank as he disappears using a smoke bomb.

Naruto then turns the page to see the image of one Lieutenant Marion Cobretti also known as Cobra.
In the Spirit Walk for LT Marion Cobretti
Marion Cobretti is working out in the gym of his new home. It has been 3 years since he slain the Night stalker and destroyed the New World Order cult. He is training to keep his fighting skills sharp. 'My training in boxing and judo allowed me to survive that battle with the Night Stalker. But only just barely I need to pick up some more tricks. If I'm going to stand toe to toe with these sons of bitches, I need to fight smarter than them and hope my body can keep up' thought Cobretti as he looks at a picture of his girlfriend Ingrid. As he has glimpses of finding her dead body.
'For her.' he thought as he went back to training.
Weeks past as Cobretti goes on to experience fierce street encounters with various combatants from gang members, mobsters, assassins, and cult members. Aside from fighting he's also been solving cases of various murders, rapes, and robberies. Cracking and solving them all.
Cobretti has followed a lead on the leader of a drug syndicate called the Warriors of Valhalla. That led to a supposedly abandoned museum in the cultural district of Los Angeles.
Cobretti at the moment is fighting a criminal who is very skilled in knife fighting on the roof. 'Hmm just like Night Slasher, all brute strength and no technique. I'll give him the one or two axe handle smash.' thought Cobretti as he faces the knife wielding assailant with only his bare hands Cobretti dodges to the left and right getting a full understanding of the knife fighter pattern proceeds to disarm the assailant with a wrist lock followed up with a cross, elbow and axe handle smash combination disabling the assailant.
Another assailant charges from behind him with a baseball bat. Cobra was quick and used the knife he took from the previous assailant and stabs him in the throat.
Soon one by one Cobretti was attacked by multiple foot soldiers of the group as he moves through the building. Using the environment as a weapon he manages to kill all forty of his attackers while taking minimum damage in battle. Using everything from a lead pipe, the knife his first attacker had, the guns around him that are dropped by some of the thugs he killed in the melee fighting and many of the weapons from the historical warrior's exhibit.
'All in a day's work' thought Cobretti as he sees the leader running for his car. Cobretti sees an unused spear on a podium and throws it at the man's leg quickly disabling him.

Naruto turns the next and final page of the section to John Rambo, a legendary warrior and arguably the best fighter in his own world.
In the Spirit Walk of John Rambo.
John Rambo is moving through the jungles of Vietnam acting as a point man for his squad. As he moves he hears something in the tree line he signals for his team to halt while he checks out those trees. As he stealthy moves close, he detects 5 Viet Cong Snipers getting out his bow and quiver of arrows and slowly picks them off silently. Rambo and his squad slowly make it towards the camp soon they are spotted by a Sentry Rambo acting quickly shoots him with a bow and arrow silencing him before he could raise an alarm.
His team soon slowly makes short work of the base camp soldiers. One soldier spots Rambo and attacks him. The two soon engages in hand-to-hand combat. The soldier is a Soviet Military Advisor. John is adapting to the Soviet's Sombo skills using what he learned from his previous years as a boy and an Airborne Ranger. Using his highly honed Hapkido and Karate skills he defeats and kills the Soviet by breaking his neck.
"John you alright" asked Delmar as he helps John to his feet.
"Yeah damned Russian had me for a second." said John as he and his friend move away from the ruins of the base camp with their team.
A large squad of Viet Cong attacks the group of commandos. A fierce jungle battle ensures as the commandos and the guerillas are fighting in a brutal rough and tumble battle. The commandos, thanks to their highly honed skills, take out the guerillas and gets back over their lines.
Rambo and group are sent on various dangerous missions inside Vietnam. Surviving thanks to their skill and cunning.

Naruto closes the book and thinks. 'Incredible these three men have determination to be able to stand their ground with various threats whether it be in the jungle, or street. I have seen their fighting skills and tactics but it was their intuition, cunning, ability to learn and adapt on top of their ferocity that lead them to be incredible combatants in their worlds. Their knowledge will help me in my world. I hope I can be the best I can be.' thought Naruto as he began training not just on the practice field but also on the shogi board.
Inside of Naruto's mindscape.
The Kyuubi No Kitsune the monster fox that attacked Konoha ten years ago and awakens to see that the cage around it looks to be a more humane cage for her she gets up to walk around it to see it leads to various things such as a private shower room, cafeteria and workout yard. She thinks in a surprised tone. 'The hell has been going on while I've been a sleep'
Outside of the mindscape in the Namikaze training ground and library.
Naruto had been simulating various battle situations in various environments thanks to the Namikaze sealing array on the grounds being capable of adjusting the temperature and environment and enemy when the user is using special hand seals for the changes. A Naruto clone was using image training in his match against an imaginary opponent of tremendous tactical skill. Other clones are also studying other fields of study involving academic fields of study.
With the White Battle Wolf in the Inuzuka dog training grounds.
The Battle wolf is being put through intense combat training by some of the Inuzuka hound instructors. Who were ecstatic about training a legendary battle wolf in combat. The Wolf for his part had been put through grueling combat training to make him a true force of nature.
The Wolf at the moment is sleeping; it had been put through a special attack regiment that makes full use of it's incredible strength. It's being looked after by Hana Inuzuka who is looking at it's charts.
"Hey Hana, how's the big boy doing?" asked Tsume as she walks into the room. "Pretty well mom. He passed every training course we can through him. It's a true fighting spirit." said Hana as she shows her the footage of the wolf in training. Tsume is amazed at how the wolf performs.
"I can't believe that Naruto found this wolf in the forest of death." said Hana as she thinks about the blonde and his new form. Blushing at the image she thinks about the things she would allow him to do to her.
Tsume notices this and says in a teasing manner.
"If your going to have the blonde over be sure you keep it down. I don't want to hear you and him breaking the bed." Hana's blush deepened. "MOTHER!" shouted an embarrassed Hana as she looks at her mother who's chuckling.
Timeskip three months later.
Naruto for his part had gotten an increase in his tactical and academic intelligence. He had learned many things from to modify and maintain kunai and shuriken, to make and prime explosives, as well as learning the trade of armoring. Using what he learned from the tactical expertise of John Rambo, Frank Castle and Cobra he learned how to improvise and adapt to any situation on the battlefield for any mission with or without his weapons.
At the moment Naruto is practicing tumbling with a 650 lb chest weight and an 800 lb leg weight. Naruto is developing into a very hardy shinobi with the build that is akin to an all-around athlete of acrobatics, track and field and wrestling. Naruto finishes his drills to take off his weighted gear.
Naruto stretches and goes to take a shower and gets something to eat from the kitchen. Naruto for his part still hasn't revealed his true heritage to anyone as of late but it would seem like one or two people know in his friend group.
Elsewhere inside a secret chamber.
The Shinobi of Darkness himself and his two flunkies are making plans to kill Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze and take his inheritance. They had found one particular mission that no person has ever survived. "You two know the usual source to send this through. see that this is delivered" said Danzo as Koharu and Himura nods in agreement.
'It had to come to this. If I couldn't control you I might as well destroy you' thought Danzo as he sits in silence thinking of his next moves.
Inside of the Missions Request office.
Missions are being distributed as normal to the elemental nations across all of them. Soon a particular mission scroll is being sent to the Hokage office of Konoha that has a mission to a deadly killing field. Soon the person who requested the mission is paid handsomely for his troubles.
In the Hokage Tower's mission room.
Asuma is in the mission office handling the missions for different teams. As he is doing this a letter requesting a mission to clear out a tower full of bandits. He looks to see that this mission is a C rank but really an A+ Rank. He sees that nearly all the teams are on mission with Naruto in a solo cell; he sees that Naruto is the only one available to take this mission. He smirks devilishly as he leaves the C rank tag on it.
Inside of the Hokage office 40 minutes later.
Tsunade and Shizune are waiting for Naruto for his mission briefing. Soon Naruto walks into the room. "Sorry Baa chan I had torn a pair of sandals" said Naruto as he dodges a punch from Tsunade. 'Okay I will got to figure out what he's been training in.' thought Tsunade with a tick mark.
"Anyway, Gaki we have a mission for you" said Tsunade as she hands Naruto the mission scroll. Naruto takes and reads it seeing it as a C rank mission to take out a small group of bandits in an old tower in Thunder country. It also says they are a small group and that he should pack lightly. Naruto for his part smells something fishy about the mission, and its perimeters make a mental note to carry some of his impact bombs with him. "Don't worry baa chan you won't be disappointed the mission will be complete." said Naruto as he slips a punch from an irate Tsunade.
'Okay that's it, I'm going back to training' thought Tsunade as she realizes trying to tag the gaki makes her realize she needs to get back into shape.
With Naruto.
Naruto goes to pack his light gear and explosive ordinance. He hopes to use his new high fragmentation impact and flare-based explosives for the mission. He makes it clear that while his weapons load out is lighter the armor is well equipped. Not cumbersome but a balance between defense and mobility.
Naruto puts on a cloak and goes out to his mission prepared for the unexpected danger he will face.
' I feel a storm brewing and it's telling me a real battle is coming during this mission' thought Naruto as leaves his home after locking up.

Okay First some of your are wondering why Punisher, John Rambo and Cobra. Well, these three are arguably some of the best examples when it comes to being intuitive combatants and skilled hand to hand combatants. As all of them have a keen ability to improvise and adapt to any scenario and situation with what's around the environment.
They also bring to the table the mental side of a tactical fighter in a no rules environment when it comes to fighting smarter not harder. Being analytical about how they approach a problem or situation.
Classical punisher is best examples are his many attacks on the mob. As well as his fights with many of marvel's best heroes and villains such as Bullseye, Daredevil, Wolverine, Spider Man and many others.
John Rambo when he deduced who to trust in Rambo 2 and how to approach a situation.
Cobra for being the only one to deduce the night slasher isn't working alone and preparing for his attacks accordingly to his threat level.
John Rambo used his skill in guerilla warfare to slaughter many of the Spetsnaz Commandos in part 2 and in 3. Show casing his use of stealth and misdirection on a batman like level when dealing with each commando and showing intuitive uses of his fighting techniques.
