The remain of a large-scale battle with much debris and bodies of dead uniformed individuals around. At the center of the wreckage, lays Jaune wearing what is akin to silver knight armor with a blue and gold linen cape, golden fur along the edge of his shoulder guards, on his left gauntlet have a face of a lion and a silver helmet with a golden mane that design to resemble a lion. At his side lays his weapons Rhongomyniad, a lance-canon hybrid, a successor of Crocea Mors after it has been destroyed during the siege of Vacuo.
Within the helmet, appear an older version of Jaune with shorter more spiked hair, a small scar on the edge of his lip, and blood flowing down his forehead. Coughing twice, Jaune presses the side of his helmet to where the button for his communication device but only the sound o static greets him.
"Penny, what are my chances of getting out of this mess?" Jaune's tired voice asked.
The inside of his helmet light up showing many different HUD from his aura level to the amount of fuel for his thrusters, to the condition of his body currently which shows all part of his body is in critical condition, and lastly the face of Penny appears on the screen.
"Protocol after a large-scale battle such as this requires at least half an hour for rescue to be able to reach your current location, but in your current state and the amount of blood loss you will pass the point of recovery in five minutes."
The HUD on his helmet began to glow yellow as the word red alert and critical appear on the forefront of the HUD.
"Huh, well look at that, I feel like this is Yang's handy work to change the color of an alert to yellow. Hehehe, looks like you got me finally laughing a bit from your shenanigans Yang"
Jaune worked on his helmet at the base before the big plan of this battle. From the doorway appear Ruby asking for Jaune's help with something regarding his Rhongomyniad. After leaving his room with the door opened, Jaune did not see Yang tiptoeing into his room, Ruby give a thumbs up from behind Jaune and Yang returned and began the prank on his computer. After helping with Ruby's unusual request, Jaune went back to his computer, unlocking it, and the sound of adultery echoes in his room. The sound of the door opening from behind him to see the one person he doesn't want to see in this mess, Jaune tried to explain only to receive a teasing giggle.
"Jaune, you have four minutes remaining"
"Can we... change the countdown to something more cheerful?"
"Sure Jaune"
"Act like you're baking a batch of cookies"
"Jaune, the cookie has three minutes left to finish"
"I can't wait"
Jaune is in the kitchen with Ren baking a batch of cookies. Jaune and Ren for the rest of the baking are shooing away, slapping some hands, and reprimanding everyone that tried to snatch away cookies from the tray which slowly became a game for the rest in the base to try to steal the cookies from Jaune and Ren. This lasted for an hour until Jaune and Ren lay defeated as everyone is munching on the freshly baked cookies.
"Jaune, you have two minutes left."
"Jaune, the cookies will be done in one minute."
"I can't wait to taste those... I'm excited Penny"
"I know Jaune"
"Will you... Stay with me till the end?"
"Till the very end"
Moments before the battle, Jaune can be seen in front of his platoon of knights in preparation for the upcoming battle. Each and every one of the knights has a determined and courageous look on their face as Jaune screamed a motivational speech. With a final yell, Jaune wore his helmet as one by one everyone wear their helmet and began marching their shield to the ground before the final roar from the knight.
"Zero, Jaune the cookies are done."
'It's all up to you guys now'
A faint gasp could be heard from inside the helmet.
"I'll miss you, friend."
Jaune laying in the same place unmoving as he grasps a small pendant of a two-crescent yellow moon in his hand. The helmet let out small steam as it open the face guard of the helmet to show a deceased Jaune laying there with a smile on his face.
