Universe: I am Thou, Thou art I
"Why would you accept a student into our academy with such a record Ozpin?"
Within the office of the headmaster of Beacon, Ozpin sat behind his desk calmly drinking his coffee while silently watching his Deputy Headmistress pacing and listening to her protest regarding the newest student that was recently enrolled even though it was already two weeks into the semester.
"His record shows that he is unruly, undisciplined, and violent in nature, so again why would you accept such an applicant?"
"I believe that this boy is more than a piece of paper makes of him" Ozpin calmly said.
The sound of the elevator door brought the attention of both as the door opened to reveal Jaune Arc.
"Mr. Arc, thank you for coming," Ozpin said
"Ah... Is something wrong sir?"
Glynda was confused, wondering if the person that just walk in is Jaune Arc. His demeanor and speech pattern are both bashful and utterly different from what the report says. The boy just sat there looking around the office before locking eyes with Glynda. Jaune was nervous as he shyly waved at Glynda, still baffled Glynda could only wave back in confusion. Both of them snap out of their trance from the slight cough from Ozpin.
"Well, now that I have your attention Mr. Arc," Ozpin said, "Tell me, what's your reason for becoming a huntsman?"
Jaune lies on the ground defeated, his sword and shield nothing but shards of metal scattered around him. Closing his eyes accepting the fate that was about to come.
"Pathetic, are you going to give up? is all that bravado to protect a lie?"
Jaune's eyes shoot open as he hears a voice within his mind.
"Are you going to go back against your word? Your word to protecting them? Your will to prove yourself?! is your will as easy to break!"
Jaune looks around as he saw Grimm begin to encroach toward team RWBY, toward his teammates, and Glynda. In front of him a few feet away, Cinder is laughing with Mercury and Emerald standing beside her with the latter looking conflicted.
"no"
"Then get up! Get up and brandish your will and fight through!"
Jaune with all his might slowly began to stand.
"Oh, does the little knight still want to fight? Emerald, would you be a dear and lay the knight to his rest," Emerald even though she heard Cinder's command began to show hesitation which Cinder noticed and began to scowl, " What are you waiting for?" Still no attempt from Emerald to move.
"Fine, be that way," Cinder looks toward Mercury, "Mercury"
"On it"
Mercury walks toward the struggling Jaune as he loaded his weapon, Talaria. Glynda weak but awake felt a pit in her stomach as she saw Mercury aiming at the weakened Jaune, tears began to flow as she tried to reach out toward Jaune.
"J-Jaune, please m-move," Glynda weakly pleaded
"Night night Knighty," as Mercury began to extend his foot, a brightly glowing fist collided with the foot causing Mercury's prosthetic right leg to shatter. Mercury was blown away by the explosion of his leg.
"That's it! Show them your will is stronger than theirs! I am thou, thou art I, let us raise our chalice in sealing our vows. Bring forth a swift decisive victory and shout to the sky your unbreakable will. VENI, VIDI, VICI!"
Jaune's eyes shine not his soulful blue eyes, but a shining golden color. The same light shines above his chest where the heart lies. Emerging from the light, a gold and blue sword handle with a circular sword guard slowly appears. His eyes hardened with determination as he stared at the three in front of him. With a calm voice that holds power, Jaune spoke.
"Persona, Came forth, CAESAR"
Jaune grabs the handle and with one swift movement pulls it and slashes the air in front of him as the pressure pushes everyone back a little as golden flames engulf Jaune's left arm. As the flame recedes, Jaune's left arm and shoulder are now covered with marbled armor that is bigger than the original arm. The sword is a beautiful longsword with a golden accent in the middle, but the most distinct part of the sword is the engraving on the middle, written in the old vale 'Veni, Vidi, Vici'.
A golden flame burst behind Jaune as an ethereal figure appeared behind him. Floating behind Jaune, a bare-chested man with a cape as red as blood is being held up by chains across his chest. The same marbled armor covers its right arm and right shoulder the only difference is the additional pauldron with the face of a lion on it. On his head donned a roman style helmet with golden flames where it was supposed to be feathers.
For the villain side, the show of Jaune's sudden power is shocking with Cinder boiling with rage at the sight of the knight still managing to stand. The hero side plus Emerald stares in wonder and warmth as they watch their friend's will to protect them manifested before their eyes and think that Jaune has awoken his semblance. One person has an additional feeling aside from wonder, Glynda stares at Jaune with pride and relief before remembering what Ozpin has spoken to her before about the potential power that Jaune can awake.
"A-are you still certain you want to enroll Mr. Arc into Beacon?"
Glynda was conflicted. After the meeting with Jaune, he is nothing like the report says about him, as a matter of fact, it appears to be greatly exaggerated to the point that even his past combat experience is a blatant farce. Ozpin stares at Glynda before standing up and walking toward his office window.
"Glynda, What is Aura?"
"... A manifestation of our souls that we used to protect ourselves," Glynda answered.
"Tell me, Glynda, have you ever wondered what other aspect of humanity can be manifested?"
"...What are you implying Ozpin?"
"Have you ever heard of a Persona?"
"...No..."
"Well then imagine a person's will is so strong that it turns into power beyond imaginable, a power that can only be obtained by sheer unbreakable will," Ozpin said looking out the window to see Jaune walking away from the tower, "I believe Mr. Arc may have the potential to awake this power,"
"If Aura is the manifestation of a soul, then a Persona is the manifestation of an unbreakable will,"
"A Persona,"
"Let me show you my unbreakable will," Jaune raises his sword to the sky, a bright shining light engulfing the sword, "KOUHA (light)!"
With a mighty yell, Jaune swing down his sword as a blade of light traveled across the field. Cinder raises her Grimm hand to block the oncoming attack only for the light to cut through the hand, disarming her. Not giving Cinder a moment Jaune rushes toward Cinder, the marbled armor began to shimmer slightly, winding back.
"Vicious Strike!"
Jaune struck Cinder's torso with the marbled fist, sending her flying 10 feet away with no sign of Cinder getting up.
The Grimm around noticed their master in harm and lunged at Jaune. The first Grimm that approached Jaune was backhanded by the marbled hand obliterating it to dust as the next Grimm got stabbed through its mouth. Crouching down to avoid the bite from a Beowolf, Jaune grabbed the Grimm and slam it to the one next to it before throwing it into a pack of Grimm that is approaching Jaune's downed allies. Jaune leaps to the Grimm that is closest to his friend and crushes it with the palm of his armor, placing him between the Grimm and his friend.
Glynda watches as Jaune stands his ground as he slashes, grabs, throws, punches, and fires rays of light at the Grimm letting none of the abominations go past him. While Jaune was occupied, a few of the Grimm tensed before grabbing the downed Cinder and Mercury and escaping from the powerful protector. The Grimm that was fighting Jaune stopped and ran the other way, Jaune noticed his enemy fleeing and decided to give chase.
"Oh no you don't," Suddenly, a large headache struck Jaune and fatigue suddenly affected his body as he drop onto his knee. Using his sword to balance himself, his marbled arm disappears in a golden flame along with the sword causing Jaune to fall to the ground, the last thing he heard is his name being called until unconsciousness began to take hold of him.
Opening his eyes, Ozpin found himself in a middle of a blue velvet room, in the middle of the room, a desk with an old long-nosed figure sitting behind it and a beautiful woman wearing what looks like a blue secretary outfit. Setting down his coffee, Ozpin addressed the visitor.
"It has been a while, Igor, my old friend, and hello to you, Victoria," Ozpin greeted the old man known as Igor and the woman Victoria, "Judging by my appearance in this realm, I assume that Mr. Arc has awoken his Persona,"
Igor let out a throaty chuckle, "Indeed, old friend, the fool has finally awakened, it is a matter of time until the other arcana follow suit and our curse in this world would be lifted,"
"Well then, I trust you and Victoria here will bring him to the Velvet room then,"
"Indeed,"
"Well then, I leave Mr. Arc's guidance in your capable hand," Ozpin bowed, "Now, I believe I am needed back into the mind of Mr. Pine, I wish you good luck," Ozpin says his farewell before his body dissolves into smokes as he disappears from the room.
"Now then, Victoria would you be so kind to alter this room befit of Arc's subconscious," Igor asked Victoria.
"Of course,"
The surrounding room shifted and shimmered in and out of reality with a wave of Victoria's hand. The wooden desk shimmered as it elongated into a long table with eight wooden chairs four on each side and one at the opposite end of Igor, banners began to appear above each chair with a picture of different arcana with the Fools arcana banner at the end of the table. Blue velvet curtain drapes along the edges of the room and the large framed map of Remnant hangs behind Igor. From a simple office was turned into the equivalent of a medieval knight war room. The chair of the Fool shines as Jaune appear, awake and confused with his surrounding. Igor let out a chuckle as he leans forward with his hand intertwined in front of him
"Welcome to the Velvet Room,"
