After Victoria had joined the Hazbin Hotel crew, Charlie wanted to help her find something to do for the hotel. However, Victoria was unsure about what she could do without her clumsiness getting in the way. She tried cooking duties but her clumsiness got in the way and she ended up burning the food. She tried to help Niffty clean but ended up shrinking the bed sheets and waxing the stairs too much which caused everyone in the hotel to slip and fall from the steps. Victoria was so embarrassed and ashamed of her mess-ups, that she locked herself in her room, refusing to make any more mistakes.

Meanwhile, everyone in the hotel was getting ready for the holidays. Charlie, Vaggie, Niffty, and Kara were decorating the hotel lobby with garnets and tinsel. Angel was in the kitchen cooking up a storm with Andy since he invited his family over to the hotel. Alastor despite his not-so-jolly mood had holiday music playing on the radios all over the hotel. Husk, on the other hand, was extra grumpy today. He hated the fact it was Christmas but no one knew the reason why. Everyone else was in a good mood with the holidays so they kind of ignored Husk and his sour mood.

Victoria could hear all the holiday music playing; she wasn't in a merry mood herself. Christmas to her was just another day of being invisible while her twin sister got everything her heart desired. Her parents never gave her any presents like her sister got; she only got hand-me-downs from family members or clothes that her sister was throwing away. Victoria didn't want to be bored, but she remembered that Charlie told her about a dance room on the 4th floor. So she grabbed her sketchbook and stepped out of her room, she walked towards the elevator and headed to the 4th floor.

When she exited the elevator, she walked towards the dance room to get a little quiet from the holiday festivities. The dance floor was a mess just like the rest of the hotel; Charlie had been so focused on getting new patrons that she didn't get the chance to fix up most of the hotel. Victoria studied engineering when she was alive and she always wanted to be an architect, designing buildings and bridges. Her artwork in her sketchbook had lots of designs for buildings but she also did sketches of people that she happens to meet. She had a few of the Hazbin Hotel crew including Kara, but she didn't draw Husk.

She walked towards the balcony, looking up at the crimson sky while watching the snow fall onto the city. Victoria then opened her sketchbook and started to draw the city view to keep her mind off Christmas. She noticed that two cars pulled up in front of the hotel; she figured that it must be Angel's family. Victoria thought that Angel was lucky to have family here in Hell where she only had her evil twin sister.

Victoria:

Follow me home if you dare to

I wouldn't know where to lead you

Should I take chances when no one took chances on me?

So I watch from the dark, wait for my life to start

With no beauty in my memory

Victoria remembered how her family treated her growing up. She was always invisible and was unwanted by her parents. Her twin sister, Martha (Aphrodite) was the one that got all the attention, praise, and love.

All that I wanted was to be wanted

Too young to wander London streets, alone and haunted

Victoria remembered when she and Martha were six years old and Martha competed in pageants. Martha won the pageant and Victoria continued to be invisible. Martha became more and more popular over the years while Victoria was quiet, studied hard, and was insecure.

Born into nothing

At least you have something, something to cling to

Visions of dazzling rooms I'll never get let into

Martha and her friend bullied Victoria so much throughout their school years. Their parents would make Victoria, Martha's guinea pig for different makeup products when Martha landed modeling roles. Martha would always treat Victoria like her servant; making her fetch coffee, running errands, and being Martha's punching bag. Victoria never fought back against Martha because she knew that it was worthless. Victoria had tears falling down her cheek, hurt and broken by all the terrible memories that she had with her family.

And the memories were lost long ago

But at least you have beautiful ghosts

Husk grabbed a bottle of booze, walked out of the lobby, and headed to the 4th floor to get away from the party going on in the lobby. He hated the holidays and wanted this jolly day to be over with. When he got to the 4th, he heard quiet sobs coming from the dance room. He walked inside and found Victoria, crying out on the balcony. Not knowing what came over him; he walked over to Victoria and gently touched her shoulder. She stopped crying when she saw Husk. "Oh, Husk. I didn't think anyone else was here." Victori said, wiping away her tears.

"Just looking for a quiet place to drink. And to get away from all this Christmas nonsense." Husk stated.

He took a sip from the bottle then he offered it to Victoria "Want some?" he asked.

Victoria took the bottle then she took a small sip; she nearly spat the booze out once it touched her tongue. She quickly swallowed it then handed it back to Husk. "That's um… Strong." she spoke.

"First time?"

"Yeah. I've never been much of a drinker."

"Came to get away from the festivities?"

"I don't hate Christmas. I just never had a good one. I mostly got hand-me-downs or stuff my sister claimed was last season. I was the forgotten twin. What about you? What's your problem with Christmas?"

Husk merely sighed then he took off his hat. "When I was alive, it was one of the best holidays. My daughter really liked it…"

"Daughter? You were married?" Victoria asked.

"I wasn't. My girlfriend didn't want kids and I got her pregnant. She um, she wanted to put our daughter up for adoption but I always wanted to be a father. I chose my daughter and my girlfriend left me." Husk explained.

"Oh. I'm so sorry."

"You can't imagine how happy she was when we celebrated it. And then, the war came, I had to go… The only thing why I stayed alive was because I wanted to celebrate with her. Be with her. But when I came back… Nothing left. She was gone… She waited and I…." By then Husk had tears in his eyes.

Suddenly, he felt a pair of arms hugging him tight. It was Victoria. "It wasn't your fault." Victoria whispered, "Your daughter loved you so much. She knows that it was never your fault."

Her kind words made Husk feel better just a little. The two of them continued talking and getting to know each other more. Victoria even showed Husk some of the sketches that she had in her book. He thought she was talented seeing her work; he even saw a page where Victoria had designed the front of the hotel to look like a Broadway theater. He asked Victoria if she would show this to Charlie, seeing as how she had been trying to refurbish the hotel more. She told Husk that she hadn't yet and Husk told her to show Charlie this. She grabbed her sketchbook and rushed down to the lobby. But not better giving Husk a peck on the cheek before leaving.

Back at the party, things seemed to be going well. Angel was just chatting away with Molly when he saw Alastor looking at him. He merely turned away, still embarrassed about their sudden kiss. Unfortunately, fate wasn't on his side tonight. Alastor asked Molly if he could borrow Angel for a mere moment. He then led Angel to an empty room so they could talk in private. "Al, what's the big idea?" Angel asked.

"Look, it's clear that we both have mixed feelings about that kiss. So I'm just gonna come out and say it." Alastor said, looking deep into Angel's eyes. "I… I love…"

"Just stop it, ok Smiles." Angel interrupted, "I've heard it before. Some Joe tells me they love me but in reality, I'm nothing but a wh*** to them. You can save this song and dance. I know how it goes."

"Angel…"

"I'm serious, Alastor. And what makes you think that someone like me could end up with someone like you?"

Those words struck Alastor's heart, hard. Angel then walked away with a look of guilt in his eyes. Of course, he loved Alastor but he just couldn't be with him. He knew that Val would find out about him having an open relationship with Alastor and use it to his advantage. Angel thought that the best way to protect Alastor was to tell him that he had no feelings for him. He did the right thing, right?
