Teen Titans Unlimited
Note: Here's a filler episode focusing on Cyborg. He'll get some good character development in this episode and in some ways it foreshadows future events. We'll also see an old villain from the past return, but you'll have to read to find out who it is. Enjoy.
Upgrade
It was a bright and sunny day at Titans Tower as the Titans were outside training with their powers as they ran the obstacle course. Beast Boy was the first to try it out as he tested his powers against the course's new features that made it challenging. He ran as a cheetah and avoided the shots of laser turrets as he hurried past them before a gun came out and launched a net at him. Beast Boy morphed into a fly and easily flew through the one of the holes in the net before turning into a kangaroo and jumping to and from giant metal fists that rose up. He changed into a falcon and flew some giant rings that were shot into the air, then he flew toward the finish line. Three large white and black training robots with big pincer claws came toward Beast Boy, blocking his path. He quickly turned into a Titanoboa and slithered around them, constricting them and crushing them with his giant snake body before slithering past the finish line.
Beast Boy turned human and saw his time as he happily cheered, "Yes! That's a new record! Beat that!"
At the other side of the course Raven stepped forward and said, "Okay."
She immediately took flight and made a force-field to protect herself from the laser turrets before flying past them. Small flying drones came at her but she formed blades of her dark energy and sliced them in half before continuing. Some turrets launched exploding discs at her but she blocked them with a barrier of her black magic and flew off. She avoided more obstacles and then approached the end where more training robots came and blocked her way.
She floated in the air and held her hands out while chanting, "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
She encased the robots in her black magic and then moved her hands to her sides, throwing the robots away, then she crossed the finish line with a smug grin toward Beast Boy.
He folded his arms as he pouted, "Show off!"
They both turned and watch Starfire swiftly complete the obstacle course as she flew through the air and easily dodged the lasers and giant metal fists. Some small flying drones pursued her but she took them out with her eyebeams before flying under all of the giant metal walls. They slammed down behind her as she flew under them and managed to avoid getting crushed and then she approached more training robots. She floated in the air as she lashed her arms out and threw a wave of her starbolt energy that destroyed them, then she crossed the finish line.
She joined Beast Boy and Raven as she happily said, "That was most exhilarating."
They looked at the other end of the course, where Cyborg smiled at Robin and politely said, "You first man."
Robin smiled as he said, "Thanks Cyborg."
Robin ran as fast as he could and agilely dodged the shots from the laser turrets, then dodged the giant fists that came out of the ground. A cannon launched a net at him but he threw a birdarang out that cut it in two, then he used his grapple to wing from a pole across a huge trench that opened. He made his way to more training robots as they came at him, while he pulled out a special disc and threw it out. The disc then shot four laser beams out that sliced the robots in half while everyone else expressed shock.
He crossed the finish line and Raven commented, "That's a new one."
Robin smiled proudly before cupping his mouth as he said, "Gotta keep up with the bad guys. Okay Cyborg your turn!"
Cyborg smiled eagerly as he ran the course and managed to dodge the lasers shot by the turrets, then launched six missiles from his shoulders that blew up six flying drones. He jumped over the area with the giant metal fists coming out of the ground and ran under the walls that came slamming down. The last one came in front of him but he smashed a hole in it with his fist and then stopped when three training robots stood in his way. He blasted the first with his left sonic cannon and blew it up, but then the second one grabbed Cyborg and pinned him to the ground. Cyborg grunted in fury before breaking free, then he lifted the robot and threw it at the only remaining one and destroyed them both. He smiled as he crossed the finish line while the others cheered for him, then he checked his time but was shocked to see he had the longest time of the team.
He was shocked as he said, "Say what?! I got the longest?!"
Robin put his hand on Cyborg and confidently said, "Don't sweat it Cyborg. You're as good as ever."
Cyborg did not feel better as he said, "Yeah. Thanks."
Later that night, Cyborg went into his room and complained to himself, "Man, feels like everybody's getting better while I stay the same. Robin's got new gadgets, Beast Boy learned some new forms, Starfire's got her eyebeams and that Nova thing, and Raven's gotten even stronger. Everyone else is moving up while fall behind."
He looked at his hands and then looked at his computer as he said to himself, "Maybe it's time for some improvements."

The next day, it was early as Starfire was feeding Silkie in her room while Robin trained in the gym as he practiced on a training dummy. Raven was by herself in the main room as she sat on the couch reading a book, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Her moment was ruined when Beast Boy suddenly walked in and said, "Hey Raven?"
She looked up with an annoyed expression as a red vein on her forehead throbbed while she said, "What?"
He looked at her from behind as he held his right palm up as he curiously asked, "You see Cyborg anywhere? He didn't come to breakfast this morning. He's never done that before."
Realizing he was right, her expression softened as she looked at him over her shoulder and said, "I haven't seen him all day."
Beast Boy became mildly concerned as he asked, "You think he's okay?"
Before she could answer they heard Cyborg's voice over a speaker as he said, "Yo guys. Meet up on the roof. I got something I want to show you."
Raven put her book down and stood up as she said, "I guess we'll find out."
Everyone went onto the roof of Titans Tower where Cyborg was waiting for them as he excitedly said, "I did it!"
The others were confused as Starfire curiously asked, "Please, did what?"
Robin then curiously asked, "Cyborg, what's going on?"
Beast Boy then curiously asked, "Yeah, you okay?"
Cyborg smiled happily as he said, "Never better! I was working all night and I finally finished my new upgrade!"
The others were surprised as they simultaneously said, "Upgrade?"
Cyborg smiled as he explained, "Yeah, I made some modifications to my cybernetic armor to give myself some new abilities!"
Beast Boy was still confused as he said, "Uh… Why?"
Raven glanced at Beast Boy as she said, "For once, Beast Boy has a good question."
Beast Boy glared at her in annoyance, then Cyborg held his arms out as he explained, "Well you see, yesterday after training I realized that you're all way better than you used to be while I haven't changed much at all. Then I decided it was time for an upgrade."
Starfire spoke sincerely as she said, "Friend, we did not wish to make you feel inadequate about yourself."
Robin agreed as he honestly said, "Starfire's right Cyborg. I'm all for trying to better yourself but you don't have to do everything we can do to succeed."
Raven narrowed her eyes with a bit of a troubled expression while she said, "Yeah, and I'm not sure upgrading yourself is a good idea. Remember the Max 7?"
Cyborg smiled reassuringly as he waved his hands and said, "Don't worry, this is different. I only had to make some adjustments to part of my body and systems. Now I can do something I could never do before."
Robin folded his arms as he curiously said, "Which is-"
A blueprint of Cyborg's torso and legs appeared behind him as he explained, "I've installed powerful thrusters in my back and legs that will enable powerful propulsion."
Starfire was surprised as she said, "You now possess the ability of flight?"
Cyborg smiled sheepishly as he said, "No, not really. The thrusters each only have enough power for short bursts of thrust. But with them I'll be able to compensate for not being able to fly and they'll give a strong burst of thrust to launch me in the air."
Beast Boy was confused as he pointed at Cyborg and questioned, "Couldn't you already jump really high?"
Cyborg nodded as he honestly said, "Well, yeah but now I can jump higher than I ever could before. Watch!"
He turned around and quickly activated small thrusters in his back, his pecks, under his armpits, the back of his thighs, and in the heels of his feet while bending down to jump. He then jumped over a thousand feet in the air while the others watched him with their jaws dropping. He went so high that Robin held his hand over his eyes to block the light to try and see him more clearly. After a moment Cyborg then splashed down in the water while the others watched him with amazed expressions. They watched him climb walk out of the water onto shore and then used his thrusters and jumped up again, high over the tower before landing right in front of them, safely on his feet.
Beast Boy was thrilled as he said, "Dude! Sweet! Jump Jets!"
Cyborg smiled as he pointed at Beast Boy and said, "Hey, that's a good name for them. Way to go BB!"
He happily pounded Beast Boy's fist while Robin smiled and said, "Okay, that was pretty impressive."
Cyborg smiled as he said, "Yeah, and they've got a bunch of other uses too. They'll definitely help the next time we face Slade or the Brotherhood of Evil."
Raven was still impressed as she admitted, "They do seem useful."
Starfire hopped up and down while applauding as she happily said, "Bravo Cyborg! A glorious new ability for you!"
Cyborg was flattered as he said, "Aww, thanks guys. I got some other ideas on how…"
He was interrupted by a beeping sound, then he looked down at the screen in his left forearm to see what was going on.
He smiled eagerly as he said, "Come on ya'll! We got butt to kick!"
He then turned around and took off and soon the others followed him; meanwhile in the city there was a car show going on inside a huge building. People were enjoying themselves until an explosion occurred and they all turned to see a giant hole in the wall.
Adonis drove through the hole in his red car as he smiled arrogantly and said, "A car show huh? Let's see if any of these models can compete with Adonis' ride!"
He pushed a button and then his car transformed into his battle-suit and he smiled maniacally as he lifted one car over his head and threw it. It crashed into another car and exploded while people started running for their lives while he laughed evilly. He started shooting orange rays of energy from the lights on his shoulders and destroyed more cars until he was blasted by a starbolt. It caused him to stumble backwards and he glared as he saw the Titans standing in front of one car staring at him.
Robin glared at Adonis as he spat, "Sorry Adonis, this is a no parking zone!"
Adonis pounded his fist as he angrily said, "You wimps are about to have an accident!"
He immediately raised his right arm as it transformed into his laser cannon and he fired an orange blast at them. They all dodged it and charged at Adonis; Raven encased one car in her black energy and sent it flying at Adonis.
The back of the car hit Adonis and knocked him down, prompting Beast Boy to happily joke, "Hey look! He's been rearended!"
He laughed happily until Adonis got back up and threw the remains of the car at them, and they scattered to avoid him. Robin threw an explosive disc at Adonis but he blew a lot of air out of the vents on his chest and blew the disc back toward Robin. He immediately ducked and covered as the disc hit the floor by him and exploded, knocking Robin down. Raven flew to Robin's aid as she held her hands straight out and shot a beam of her black magic at Adonis. She blasted him and forced him back, but he stayed on his feet and only slid backwards before stopping and smiling evilly. He bent over and then ignited the thrusters on his back and launched himself at Raven with his arms out. It happened so fast Raven didn't have time to react as he grabbed her and pinned her down to the floor while she grunted and struggled.
She kept struggling as she demanded, "Get off of me!"
He smiled at her flirtatiously as he said, "I like a girl with attitude."
She glared up at him with disdain before Beast Boy flew over Adonis as a Quetzalcoatlus and grabbed him in his feet. He lifted Adonis off of Raven and dropped him on the ground, but Adonis got back up and fired orange laser beams from the lights on his shoulders. Beast Boy turned into an electric eel and fell on Adonis' face and shocked him with electricity as Adonis screamed in pain and jerked his body around.
He grabbed the green electric eel and angrily said, "Sorry wimp! You can't shock me that easily!"
He then threw Beast Boy away and while he was moving through the air Beast Boy turned human and screamed in terror. Raven caught him as they both stood on a platform of her dark energy and they both looked at Adonis as he aimed his left laser cannon at them. He fired an orange blast at them but Raven moved her platform and carried herself and Beast Boy out of the way. Starfire flew at Adonis with blazing speed and punched him in the face, sending him flying back and crashing into a support beam. It broke when his suit hit it and he glared as he saw Starfire flying toward him again, prompting him to fire his left laser cannon again. The orange blast hit Starfire and stopped her as she cried in pain, then Adonis used the thrusters on his back to jump toward her. When he came close he ignited the thruster in his right elbow and punched Starfire in the face, sending her crashing through a wall and flying out of the building.
Adonis had a smug grin as he gloated, "Adonis packs a real punch!"
He turned his head as he suddenly heard Robin shout, "But I'm still kicking!"
He used his grapple to swing toward Adonis and kicked him in the face, making Adonis grunt as he stumbled backwards. He then lifted a car over his head and tried to smash Robin with it, but Robin narrowly dodged it as he ran away. The car smashed on the ground behind him, sending some concrete up that hit Robin in the back and knocked him to the floor. Adonis walked over to Robin and stood over the leader of the Titans as he tried to get up but collapsed as he passed out. Adonis smiled victoriously when he noticed Starfire flying toward him with her eyes and fists glowing green, and he also saw Beast Boy charging at him from the opposite direction as an elephant. Adonis then stopped the green elephant and threw him at Starfire, hitting her as they both fell to the floor, dizzy as Beast Boy reverted to his human form.
Adonis smiled arrogantly as he gloated, "You wimps got nothing on me!"
Suddenly he was hit by a sonic blast and he turned to Cyborg, who fiercely said, "I got something new for ya!"
Adonis then ran at Cyborg and tried to punch him while igniting the thruster in his left elbow, but Cyborg dodged his fist and then used his Jump Jets to tackle Adonis. He held onto him as they both tumbled across the floor, then Adonis forced Cyborg off of him before they both got back up.
Cyborg smiled snidely as he said, "You're not the only one with spring in his step!"
Adonis angrily glared daggers at Cyborg and gritted his teeth as he activated his right laser cannon and blasted it at him. Cyborg dodged the orange laser blast as he used his Jump Jets to jump over Adonis and land behind him, then he blasted his left sonic cannon at Adonis' back and knocked him down. Adonis got back up and turned around as he grunted in anger as he activated his right elbow rocket and tried to punch Cyborg. Cyborg dodged his fist and then punched Adonis and knocked him back, but Adonis staid on his feet and then grabbed Cyborg and held him in place. Cyborg smiled slyly as he held onto Adonis and used his Jump Jets to launch both of them straight up into the air. Adonis released Cyborg and fell under him just as Cyborg activated the sonic blaster in his right foot and sent Adonis crashing to the floor. A small crater was formed but Adonis climbed out of it and grunted while Cyborg safely landed on his feet in front of him. Adonis was seething with rage as he used the wheels in his feet to skate toward him with his arms out as he tried to grab him again. Cyborg waited for him to come close, and then he ignited his Jump Jets again to launch himself straight up in the air. While he moved up he punched Adonis in the chin and went up through the ceiling before he landed down in front of him. Adonis was dizzy as he stumbled backwards and fell back on top of a car, crushing it underneath his battle-suit. He passed out while rest of the Titans regrouped around Cyborg and stared at Adonis in awe and amazement.
Cyborg had his fists on his sides as he smiled victoriously and said, "Don't think the insurance will cover that."
Beast Boy was amazed as he said, "Dude! You kicked his butt big time!"
Cyborg smiled modestly before pointed his right thumb behind himself while he said, "It was nothing. Now let's hand big man here to the cops and get back to the Tower."
After handing Adonis to the police they went back to Titans Tower and enjoyed the rest of the day in peace. They had dinner after the sun went down and Cyborg a large hoagie he made while the others ate burgers and Beast Boy had tofu dogs.
Raven looked up from her burger at Cyborg as she calmly said, "Nice job today Cyborg."
Beast Boy finished his tofu dogs and smiled at Cyborg as he said, "Yeah! You were on fire!"
Starfire smiled with glee as she commended, "Agreed! You were most magnificent!"
Robin agreed as he happily said, "Yeah, you creamed him!"
Cyborg smiled with pride as he finished his hoagie and said, "Yep, and it's all thanks to my new Jump Jets! One of my best ideas yet!"
Raven couldn't help but smile as she said, "I have to admit, they are pretty cool."
Starfire happily put her hands together as she excitedly said, "Absolutely! I eagerly await to see what else you do with them!"
Robin smiled with thought as he generously suggested, "I have a few ideas for other ways you can use them."
Beast Boy liked the sound of that as he said, "Sweet!"
Cyborg put his hands on his sides as he smiled overconfidently and said, "Oh yeah! With this new upgrade I can take anything they throw at me."
Suddenly the alarm went off while a red light flashed and Robin stood up and urgently yelled, "We're under attack!"
They all promptly rushed out of the room and went downstairs and eventually came out the front door and stood outside. They looked around but saw no one anywhere on their island and everything seemed quiet and peaceful.
Beast Boy was surprised as he said, "You sure this isn't some kind of false alarm? Cuz I don't see anyone."
Starfire agreed as she glanced around and said, "Agreed. I see no signs of danger."
Robin remained wary as he shook his head and said, "No. Something's out there. Something's coming. I can feel it."
Raven briefly held her head and shut her eyes before she opened them and lowered her hand saying, "I do sense something."
Beast Boy glanced around as he asked, "Where?"
Cyborg looked up at the sky and pointed his finger as he exclaimed, "Incoming!"
They all looked up and saw what appeared to be a huge meteor shower coming down toward their island. Hundreds of flaming balls rained down on the Titans' island and crashed, forming small craters that were all on fire.
The Titans stared at all of the craters while Beast Boy was baffled as he looked at the others and said, "So… Meteor shower?"
Starfire was uneasy as she stared at the craters and said, "I believe that we are being invaded."
Cyborg narrowed his eyes suspiciously as he said, "Star's right, those weren't meteors!"
Robin warily stared at the craters as he said, "Careful everyone. Be ready for anything!"
From the fires of the craters rose gruesome green and black monsters seemingly made of slime with scythe-like raptorial limbs.
Cyborg's eyes widened and he gasped in shock before he said, "No! It can't be!"
Raven noticed Cyborg's reaction and showed concern as she said, "Cyborg?"
Beast Boy stared at the slime monsters with shock and confusion as he said, "Dude! What are these things? Aliens?"
Starfire examined the creatures with her finger on her chin as she said, "They are of no world that I am familiar with."
They jumped in surprise as they all suddenly heard a deep ominous voice say, "They are your doom foolish children!"
The Titans looked around for where the voice came from and they all stared at one certain crater that was in the middle of the army of gruesome creatures. From that fiery crater emerged a monster that looked different from the others as it had a more humanoid/samurai appearance, it was Krall.
Cyborg was shocked as he said, "Krall!"
Krall stared at Cyborg with an evil smile as he said, "Hello hero!"
Beast Boy looked at Cyborg with shock and then pointed at Krall while he said, "Dude! You know this guy?!"
Cyborg angrily glared daggers at Krall while he said, "He's the guy who brought me back in time and attacked those people with his monsters! How are you here Krall?! Sarasim and her people beat you five thousand years ago!"
Krall folded his arms as he glared with a vexed expression before smiling evilly while he said, "Yes. Despite your retreat she managed to vanquish me. But the witch used her power to revive me and granted me greater power than before. After my failure I vowed to destroy you and all you hold dear, so I made the witch use her power to send me to your time. Now I shall have my revenge and I shall rule your time as a conqueror!"
Cyborg angrily clinched his fist as he yelled, "I don't think so!"
He activated his right sonic cannon and fired it at Krall, blasting him right in the chest, but Krall did not move as the sonic blast hit him. Cyborg blasted a huge hole in Krall's chest, but it was filled in as Krall healed himself when green and black slime oozed together and filled the hole in his chest.
Cyborg was surprised as he gasped and then Krall evilly gloated, "You will not stand in the way of my destiny."
The others prepared to fight as Starfire and Raven floated in the air with their hands covered in their respective energies.
Starfire's eyes glowed green as she glared at Krall and said, "Those who attack our home will get the butt kicked!"
Krall smiled evilly as he claimed, "You will all fall before me."
Beast Boy morphed into a tiger while Robin pulled out his bo staff, whirled it around before holding it behind his back in a fighting stance.
Robin glared at Krall as he fiercely said, "You waited five thousand years for a fight, and now you've got one!"
Krall had a sinister grin as he stared at the Titans and said, "Yes, but I do not believe I will have a challenge."
Cyborg blasted his sonic cannon again and destroyed Krall's head, but green and black slime oozed from his body and reformed his head as he smiled maniacally.
Krall leered at Cyborg as he boasted, "I am more powerful than I have ever been, and last time I nearly destroyed you."
Cyborg clinched his fist as he angrily said, "Yeah well this time I'll win the rematch!"
Krall had a sinister grin as he pointed at the Titans while he said, "We shall see. Attack!"
His gruesome minions all charged toward the Titans as they ran on all fours and then jumped toward them to attack.
Commercial break
The slime monsters came charging at the Titans but Starfire put her hands together and whirled them as she threw a wave of her starbolt energy. She destroyed a dozen of the slime monsters in the front while the rest kept coming at them as fast as they could.
The Titans then charged forward as Robin yelled, "Titans go!"
Robin ran and swung his bo staff at several slime monsters, knocking them down and making each of them splatter. He pulled out a few birdarangs and threw them at three other slime monsters, cutting them all in half before they melted into globs of green and black slime. Starfire flew through the army and punched several slime monsters and made each of them splatter to bits. She then floated in the air and threw a bunch of starbolts that blew up over a dozen slime monsters, then she shot her eyebeams and destroyed two more. A few of the gruesome creatures jumped on Starfire and knocked her down, then more of them started dogpiling on top of her. Starfire destroyed them with a shockwave of her starbolt energy and then kept fighting as she flew off. Raven encased large boulders in her dark energy and used them to crush a dozen slime monsters, then she shot bolts of black lightning that made several more splatter to bits.
She saw more coming at her but her eyes glowed white as she chanted, "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
She threw her hands out and sent a giant blade made of her dark energy out and it cut all the slime creatures in half before they melted. One slime monster tried to attack Raven from behind but Beast Boy jumped at it as a tiger and sliced it up with his claws. He ran out and changed into a rhino as he plowed his way through the army of slime monsters and cleared a path. As he charged forward he knocked each slime monster down to the ground before they splattered to bits. Beast Boy stopped running and changed into a turkey vulture as he took flight and approached one slime creature. He then vomited on the slime creature's head and his stomach acid caused the monster to melt into a puddle of green and black goo. Many more of the monsters came and jumped at Beast Boy, but he dodged them and then morphed into a T-Rex and roared ferociously. A crushed a few slime monsters under his feet, swung his tail and knocked a few others away, then swung his head forward and knocked a few others away. He grabbed one in his mouth and crushed it as it melted to slime and oozed out between his teeth to the ground.
Beast Boy quickly turned human and wiped his tongue in disgust as he complained, "Dude, that is nasty! Gross!"
He turned his head toward Cyborg, who splattered several monsters with his fists while yelling, "Quit whining and kick their butts!"
Beast Boy did as he said and morphed into an elephant and charged forward, Cyborg made a chainsaw come out of his left wrist as he cut several monsters in two before they melted.
More of the gruesome creatures came at him but he held out his right sonic cannon and yelled, "Welcome to the future!"
He fired his sonic cannon and destroyed dozens of the monsters completely before deactivating it and his saw.
Krall came up to him with an evil grin as he said, "They called you their champion, and yet you abandoned them in their moment of need like a coward!"
Cyborg gritted his teeth as he growled and yelled in fury and ran at Krall and started punching him repeatedly. He made Krall jerk around as he punched him but then Krall grabbed both his fists and held him in place with an evil smile. Cyborg grunted as he struggled and tried to overpower Krall, but lifted him up and slammed him down to the ground. Cyborg got back up but Krall's left hand morphed into a mace, which he swung at Cyborg, sending him crashing into a boulder behind him. Cyborg got up and angrily ran at Krall as he tried to punch him again, but Krall pulled his right fist back as short sharp spikes sprouted on the backs of his fingers. He then punched Cyborg and sent him crashing into another boulder, but Cyborg got on his feet when Krall came to him.
He smiled arrogantly as he gloated, "You cannot defeat me warrior! I am more powerful than the last time we met!"
He held his hands out as green and black slime oozed from his hands and took the shape of a long mallet before turning solid. He pulled the mallet back and swung it at Cyborg sending him flying through the air as he screamed while Krall watched.
As he moved through the air Cyborg gritted his teeth and yelled, "So am I!"
He then used his Jump Jets to launch himself back down to Krall as he crashed in front of him and pulled himself back up.
Krall clinched his mallet with an amused smile as he said, "Very persistent."
He and Cyborg kept fighting while the rest of the Titans fought against Krall's gruesome army as they kept destroying more of them. Robin kicked one slime creature in the underbelly but his foot got stuck in it while the creature was still standing.
Robin grunted as he tried to pull his leg free as he yelled, "Get off of me you slimeball!"
He quickly hit it with his bo and knocked it off as it splattered on the ground but then he was surrounded by more monsters. Starfire shot a ray of her starbolt energy that destroyed them and she landed beside Robin and helped him; one monster came at them but Starfire kicked it and splattered it to bits. They kept fighting together while Raven shot beams of her black magic that hit several slime monsters and made them splatter. Beast Boy was a bear as he slashed his claws at a few monsters and cut them to pieces before they melted. He was on the shore of the island as more monsters crowded him, then he morphed into a sasquatch and squashed three with his fists. A few slime monsters jumped at him but Beast Boy swung his right backfist at them and knocked them into the water. He watched as they rose out of the water and prepared to fight again but he noticed the monsters moved in strange ways as their bodies started steaming, then they began melting.
He turned human and stared at them before cupping his mouth at Raven as he shouted, "Hey Raven! Check it out! They hate water!"
Raven looked in Beast Boy's direction and noticed the three monsters melting into goo inside the water, prompting Raven to smile. She flew over the water while Beast Boy morphed into a pelican and flew into the air to avoid what was coming. Raven used her black magic to create a giant tidal wave, which spread over part of the island washing all the remaining slime monsters. Starfire grabbed Robin and floated above the water as they watched all the slime monsters melt inside before being washed away. When the water was gone only puddles and globs of green and black slime remained and so the four of them regrouped.
Beast Boy smiled happily as he joked, "Look, they're all washed up."
He laughed to himself while Starfire smiled and Raven rolled her eyes with an annoyed expression while Robin was not amused. Suddenly Cyborg crashed between them before passing out and they all turned to see Krall, who was still standing as he approached them.
They stood in fighting stances as Robin defiantly said, "Your army's gone Krall! It's over!"
Krall smiled arrogantly as he said, "A valiant effort children but this is only the beginning."
Raven glared at him as she said, "Not if we can help it!"
She fired bolts of black lightning at Krall and drove him back but he was still standing as he shielded himself. Robin ran at him and swung his bo at Krall several times but his attacks did not seem to hurt Krall at all, then green and black slime oozed from Krall's hand before forming a sword. Krall clinched the sword in both hands before swinging it and cutting Robin's bo in half, then he swung his backhand and swatted Robin away. Starfire flew at Krall and shot her eyebeams at him while he quickly shielded himself with his arms. Steam was coming from his body but Starfire's eyebeams did not appear to do much damage as he was still standing. He then jumped at Starfire and punched her and sent her crashing toward the others as cried in pain, and Robin helped her up. Beast Boy noticed a puddle of water and splashed some of it in Krall's face, prompting him to cry in pain as face started melting. Beast Boy then morphed into hippo and charged toward Krall, but he punched the green hippo and knocked him away.
Krall smiled evilly as his face stopped melting and resolidified, then he said, "Your skills impress me, but I am not so easily defeated."
Cyborg got up and glared at Krall, who pointed at them as he said, "You have only delayed my plans. I shall raise a new army and conquer your city, and then the world!"
He turned around jumped hundreds of feet in the air before landing on a nearby ship, then he smiled as he stared back at the island. The Titans regrouped in the main room of their tower while Robin typed on the computer with all the others behind him.
Cyborg impatiently said, "Come on Robin! We gotta find Krall before he tries something!"
Robin kept typing as he stressfully said, "I'm trying Cyborg! No reports have come in of anyone matching Krall's description!"
Cyborg was very impatient as he said, "We gotta find him and kick his butt! And I need a new upgrade!"
The others all looked at him with concern as Raven said, "Another upgrade?"
Beast Boy was nervous as he said, "Dude, I'm no genius, but I don't think that's a good idea."
Raven held her left palm up as she honestly said, "Cyborg, I hate to say it, but I think this is one of those rare times when you should listen to Beast Boy."
Cyborg spoke urgently before looking away in thought while he said, "Guys, I tried to fight Krall before and I couldn't beat him! He's more powerful now than he was last time and raising another army! I need a new weapon to face him, and I think I know what it is."
Robin was concerned as he said, "Cyborg, maybe you should think about this."
Cyborg angrily pointed at Robin as he said, "There's no time for thinking! You work on finding Krall and I'll work on upgrading myself!"
He turned around and walked out without another word, and the others finally surrendered as they knew he wouldn't listen. Cyborg went into his room and used tools in his arms to perform work on his body while the others monitored reports.
After an hour of working Cyborg finished his upgrades and then Robin walked in and said, "We found him."
Later in the city, people were running away in fear as Krall attacked with another army of more slime monsters. Krall marched forward while the gruesome creatures swung their limbs on cars and other things when the police came. They fired blue lasers at them and blew small holes in some of the creatures, but they filled in their holes and healed before running at the police.
They kept desperately firing before retreating as Krall smiled evilly and said, "This new time is very different my old one, but just as amusing."
Suddenly a few slime monsters were destroyed by starbolts and Krall turned to see the Titans standing at an intersection glaring at him.
Cyborg glared at Krall as he yelled, "Nobody messes with our neighborhood!"
Robin threw a birdarang at Krall and it cut off his left arm, which melted when it hit the ground, but Krall did not even flinch. He smiled evilly as green and black slime oozed from his shoulder and reformed his arm while the Titans stared in shock.
Krall smiled arrogantly as he said, "I see you did not learn your lesson."
The slime monsters then ran at the Titans on all fours while they ran at them and began fighting all of them. Raven created a wall of her black magic and sent it flying out as it hit dozens of slime monsters, splattering them like bugs on a windshield. Starfire threw starbolts and blew up several more slime monsters before she flew and kicked one, knocking it at another as they both splattered. Several slime monsters dogpiled on top of Starfire but she immediately stood up and threw her fists out and knocked them all off of her while she yelled in fury. A dozen more slime monsters jumped at her but she knocked all of them with a single punch or kick for each of them. A few slime monsters came at Robin as he dodged their arms when they swung at him, then he jumped and kicked one and knocked it on its back before it splattered. Robin quickly put on his electric brass knuckles and used them to punch the other gruesome creatures, shocking them with electricity as they shook before melting. He used the electric brass knuckles and did the same thing to more slime monsters as he ran through the army. Beast Boy was a velociraptor as he jumped on one slime monster and dug his claws into it before biting chunks out of it, causing it to melt. A few more slime monsters came and jumped at Beast Boy, but he changed into a gorilla and knocked them both away as they splattered everywhere. A dozen more monsters came at him but he changed in a Chalicotherium and slashed his claws and cut them to pieces before their remains melted.
Cyborg was surrounded by slime monsters when he smiled and said, "Looks like it's time to crack the whip."
He then activated his new weapons as two small weapons came out of the backs of his forearms with small pylons. From the pylons came two long blueish white whips that were made out of pure energy as they sparked and shined brightly. Cyborg lashed the energy whips at the slime monsters and splattered each one of them before he whirled his whips around and splattered all the others. He stopped and smiled triumphantly until Krall came toward him with an evil smile on his face as he prepared to fight.
He kept smiling as he arrogantly said, "I see you have forged new weapons."
Cyborg lashed the whips against the ground as he glared at Krall and said, "Yeah, and now I'm gonna use them to kick your butt!"
He lashed his left whip at Krall's face and made him stumble backwards as it shocked him as he let out a small cry of pain. He then looked back at Cyborg with an evil grin as he held his left hand up at his side while green and black slime oozed from his palm and formed a ball with spikes. Krall threw the spiked ball at Cyborg and hit him as he knocked Cyborg flat on his back before he got back up and grunted in fury. He ran at Krall and lashed his energy whips at him repeatedly, but Krall knocked them away with his arms each time. Cyborg then lassoed both of Krall's arms with the energy whips and restrained them as he held them in place while shocking Krall. Krall gritted his teeth as he struggled but then smiled insanely as he grabbed the energy whips and lashed them as he sent Cyborg into the air. He then slammed Cyborg down on the ground and whirled him around before pulling him toward him and kicking him back. Cyborg gritted his teeth as he got back on his feet with his energy whips still wrapped around Krall's arms, but Krall finally used his great strength to break them as the energy dissipated. Cyborg was shocked while Krall's hands morphed into large swords and he ran at Cyborg and swung his right arm at him.
Cyborg blocked his blade with his left forearm and they both struggled while Krall arrogantly said, "Your powers are nothing compared to mine!"
He then knocked Cyborg back and ran at him with an evil grin, meanwhile the other Titans continued to fight Krall's army of gruesome monsters. Robin shocked a few creatures with his electric brass knuckles before they melted, but then he saw a dozen of them coming toward him. He quickly pulled out an explosive disc and threw it at them, blowing them all up in one fell swoop. Starfire was floating above the street as she put her hands together and shot a ray of her starbolt energy that destroyed dozens of slime monsters. Some more slime creatures jumped at her but she made a force-field of her starbolt energy around herself and they splattered when they hit it. Raven trapped a dozen slime monsters in a spherical force-field of her dark energy and threw them at a bunch of other monsters, causing all of them to splatter immediately. She saw several more gruesome creatures coming toward her but she looked floated over a fire hydrant and used her powers to open it. Water sprayed all of the monsters and caused them to melt into green and black globs of goo before Raven telekinetically closed the hydrant. Beast Boy was a stegosaurus as he swung his spiked tail and cut several monsters in half before they melted. He noticed he was surrounded by dozens of slime monsters as many of them started dogpiling on top of him. He struggled before morphing into a hummingbird and flying high over them, then he morphed into a dreadnoughtus and came falling down. He slammed down on top of the monsters and splattered them, while also causing a tremor that splattered all the other slime creatures surrounding him.
All of the slime monsters were destroyed as Beast Boy turned human and smiled smugly as the others joined him, but then they all watched Cyborg fight Krall. Cyborg punched him in the face three times but Krall kicked Cyborg in the chest and knocked him down before the others came to help him. Robin threw an explosive disc that blew up Krall as he splattered everywhere, but then his slime oozed together and reformed his body. Krall made slime ooze from the back of his right wrist and form a sharp blade, which he launched at Robin. Robin ducked to avoid it, then Raven and Starfire flew next to Krall and fired beams of their respective energy at him from opposite directions. Krall grunted as their beams hit him but didn't do much damage as he stayed on his feet, he then sprouted long sharp spikes all over his body and then launched them in every direction. Raven and Starfire swiftly flew and avoided all the spikes, then Krall saw Beast Boy running toward him as a lion. Beast Boy jumped toward him but Krall threw a glob of green and black goo from his left hand, the glob hit Beast Boy and knocked him to the ground. He started struggling as the glob of goo seemed to immobilize him as it stuck him to the ground with only his head and front legs sticking out. Krall smiled smugly until Cyborg ran at him and punched him, sending him crashing through a wall behind him. Krall emerged from the hole as Cyborg came at him yelling in fury, but Krall grabbed his fists and held him in place. Krall smiled evilly as he punched Cyborg and sent him flying through the air and crashing into one of the upper floors of an office building.
The others watched and showed concern as Starfire yelled, "Cyborg!"
She flew to help him while Krall smiled evilly and said, "Once again I prove myself superior!"
While everyone else was distracted he made a tactical retreat as he turned around and ran away while the Titans watched where Cyborg crashed. Starfire flew back down as she carried Cyborg to the ground and set him down on his feet; Beast Boy morphed into an elephant and broke free from the glob of slime that trapped him.
He then turned human as he, Robin, and Raven hurried to Starfire and Cyborg as Beast Boy said, "Dude, are you okay?"
Cyborg angrily clinched his fist and said, "I'm fine, but I need a new upgrade!"
Later at Titans Tower
Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven were standing outside Cyborg's bedroom door while they all listened to the sounds of tools and machines working in his room. They all showed concerned expressions as they stared at the door and waited for Cyborg to finish his new upgrade. He'd been working for hours and hadn't come out since he started working and the others were growing even more worried.
The noises finally stopped and Cyborg came out as he happily said, "Finished! This new upgrade is the best one yet!"
The others were still concerned as Robin reluctantly asked, "Cyborg are you sure about this?"
Cyborg smiled confidently as he said, "Oh yeah! This new weapon will be just what I need to take down Krall!"
Raven was skeptical as she said, "That's what you said about those energy whips."
Cyborg was still confident as he said, "Yeah but this is better. This new weapon is almost better than my sonic cannons. Almost."
Beast Boy was concerned as he sincerely said, "Cy, the more you change yourself the more I worry you'll turn into a robot."
Starfire agreed as she kindly said, "Beast Boy is right Cyborg. You should not upgrade too much or you may risk harming yourself."
Cyborg tried to be polite but showed stubbornness as he pounded his fist and said, "Guys, I appreciate your concern but I know what I'm doing. I'm gonna show Krall who the real coward is!"
Suddenly a red light flashed as the alarm sounded and Cyborg urgently said, "It's him! Let's go!"
In the city, people were running and screaming in fear as Krall and his minions attacked the city square, near the Titans' favorite pizza place. Krall laughed evilly as he watched his minions terrorize people as they chased them, smashed stuff, and spread panic. Krall then held his arms straight out and shot vast amounts of green and black slime from his hands while moving them around. He made dozens of puddles of green and black slime, which then took the shape of more of his monsters and started attacking. Suddenly a bunch of the monsters he just made were blown up by starbolts and smashed by chunks of debris encased in dark energy.
He looked up on a rooftop and saw the Titans looking down at him as Cyborg fiercely said, "Keep your slime to yourself!"
Krall glared at them while they jumped and flew down from the rooftop and charged at him, but he stood in place as his minions attacked the Titans. Robin threw four birdarangs out and they cut dozens of slime monsters to pieces before their remains melted. Robin then jumped in the air and kicked another gruesome creature in the face and knocked it on its back before it splattered. One monster came behind Robin and swung its scythe-like arm at him, but Starfire flew at it and rammed it with her fists, making it splatter everywhere. She flew through the army of monsters with her fists straight out as she rammed more and more of them and splattered each one instantly. She stopped and floated in the air as she saw a couple dozen slime monsters coming straight toward her. Her eyes and fists glowed green as she held her arms straight out to her sides, then she spun her body around at high speed while flying toward the monsters. She kept spinning as she moved through them with her glowing fists straight out as she hit them all and made them splattered on contact. She stopped spinning and looked at the puddles of green and black slime before flying off to fight more of the monsters. Beast Boy was flying through the air as an Argentavis, he flew at one slime creature and dug his talons into it, causing it to melt. He flew at another and pecked it with his beak and then dug his talons into it and made it melt as well before flying off.
He morphed into a Mariana Lobster and grabbed one slime monster with his big claws and made it splatter everywhere. He grabbed another by its arms and threw it at another slime monster and they both splattered to bits. A dozen more gruesome creatures came, but he morphed into a Titanoboa and slithered around them. He wrapped his body around the slime monsters and squeezed them, making them all pop like blueberries. A few more creatures came to Beast Boy but he morphed into an Ankylosaurus and smashed them with his clubbed tail. Raven floated inches above the street as dozens of slime monsters surrounded her, but she raised her arms up and created a sphere of her dark energy. The sphere then split into dozens of beams of her dark energy that destroyed every slime monster around her. She then used her powers to lift a car in the air and smashed it on top of a dozen other slime monsters, splattering them. Cyborg launched six missiles from his shoulders that blew up six slime monsters one by one, then he ran and splattered several monsters with one punch each. He stopped and looked around to see that he was surrounded by dozens of slime monsters that had him trapped. Cyborg activated both his sonic cannons and held them straight out to his sides before firing them while spinning around. He kept firing his sonic cannons while spun around and he destroyed all of the monsters around him before stopping. He deactivated his sonic cannons and smiled when suddenly he was blindsided by Krall, who punched him and knocked him down.
Cyborg angrily got up and glared at Krall, who smiled arrogantly as he said, "Surrender warrior! You may survive this."
Cyborg stood his ground as he defiantly said, "Not a chance!"
Krall smiled evilly as he marched toward Cyborg, who took one step forward as he activated his new weapon. The panel in the center of his chest opened up to reveal a small blaster cannon underneath with a round nozzle. The inside of it glowed bluish white before Cyborg yelled in fury and fired the blaster cannon at Krall. He fired a powerful bluish white ray of energy that seemingly destroyed Krall as it blew him up; Cyborg stopped as his chest closed up.
He stood tall and smiled victoriously as he said, "Ha!"
His jaw dropped as green and black slime oozed back together and reformed Krall, who gloated, "Your weapons are useless against me."
He held up his right arm and shot vast amounts of green and black slime from his hand at high pressure, and it knocked Cyborg on his back. Cyborg got back up and ran at Krall as he yelled in fury and punched him, but Krall's left hand turned into a hammer, which he swung at Cyborg's face.
He knocked Cyborg back but Cyborg kept fighting as he stubbornly said, "Come on! Don't fail me now!"
Krall punched Cyborg repeatedly and inflicted serious damage as sparks of electricity started to shoot from his body.
Robin saw this and became worried as he said, "Titans! Cyborg needs help!"
The others joined him and hurried toward Cyborg and Krall, but all the other slime monsters blocked their way. Beast Boy morphed into a Triceratops and charged forward, destroying many monsters while clearing a path, but there were still many more. Robin threw an explosive disc at a hydrant and destroyed it, making water shoot out of the ground and melt some more slime monsters.
While they kept fighting his minions, Krall continued to thrash Cyborg as he arrogantly gloated, "You are no match for me, Cyborg. Man or machine, you are just a warrior and I am a god."
He punched him in the shoulder, then the stomach, then the face while Cyborg started to scream in agony.
Krall lifted him in the air and turned his left hand into a sword while he evilly said, "Your future belongs to me!"
He then stabbed Cyborg in the chest with his sword as Cyborg screamed in agony with sparks of electricity shooting from his chest.
The rest of the Titans saw this and became worried as Beast Boy yelled, "Cyborg!"
Raven immediately turned to Starfire as she hastily exclaimed, "Starfire! Solar Eclipse!"
Starfire's eyes glowed green as she raised her hands over her head and made a giant starbolt, which she threw at all the slime monsters. It hit them just before Raven created a dome-shaped force-field of her black magic over them, her force-field contained the explosion to make sure it would only destroy the monsters. She dropped it and all that was left was some smoke, then the Titans ran toward Krall while he pulled his sword out of Cyborg's chest and stared him in the face.
He turned his head as Robin demanded, "Let him go!"
He saw the Titans coming toward him, so he threw Cyborg aside and sent him crashing on the roof of car as he cried in pain. Robin jumped at Krall and kicked him, but Krall showed no pain as he backslapped Robin away, then jumped toward Starfire and punched her. She crashed into Raven and they both fell to the ground while Beast Boy watched, he hurried to the water shooting out of the ground and morphed into an elephant. He sucked a bunch of water into his trunk and hurried toward Krall and squirted the water at him, soaking much of his body. Krall screamed in pain as his body started melting while Beast Boy stared at him as an elephant with the others joining him and glaring at Krall.
Krall's body was dripping as he smiled evilly and said, "Well played green one, but your champion has fallen."
He then resolidified and returned to his usual shape before running away, then the other Titans immediately hurried to Cyborg.
They all stood over him, worried as Beast Boy turned human and begged, "Cyborg say something!"
Cyborg said nothing as he passed out with a groan as his human eye closed, his robot eye stopped glowing, and the blue parts of his body turned black.
Commercial break
The Titans brought Cyborg back to the tower as quickly as possible as they carried him into his room and set him down on his computer table bed and tilted it.
They were all worried as they stared down at Cyborg while Starfire frantically said, "What do we do?! We do not know how to repair him!"
Beast Boy looked at Raven as he desperately asked, "Rae, can you heal him?!"
Raven looked at Beast Boy with disappointment as she said, "My powers don't work on machines, so I can't heal Cyborg's body."
Robin looked down at Cyborg before turning to the others as he urgently said, "His power cell's depleted! We need to recharge him fast!"
Starfire fearfully asked, "How?!"
Robin did not know as he and the girls continued to frantically argue while Beast Boy looked down at Cyborg with fear.
He desperately shoved the others aside while he exclaimed, "I got an idea! Clear!"
He jumped on top of Cyborg and then morphed into an electric eel and shocked him with his electricity while the others watched. He stopped shocking Cyborg and reverted to his human form as he climbed off of him and stared at him with desperate hope. Cyborg's robot eye lit up and the black parts of his body turned blue again as he opened his eye and sat up groaning in pain. Seeing him still alive the others all smiled with delight, then Beast Boy let out a heavy sigh of relief as he wiped his brow.
Starfire hugged Beast Boy and congratulated, "Bravo Beast Boy! You saved Cyborg!"
Beast Boy pushed her off of him and even Raven couldn't help but smile as she commended, "Great idea."
Beast Boy turned from Raven to the others while he honestly said, "Thanks, I wasn't sure that would work."
Cyborg looked at the screen in his right forearm before smiling at Beast Boy while he said, "10%, not a lot but it'll do. Thanks man."
Beast Boy smiled modestly at Cyborg and then he talked everyone else through repairing himself, after a while they fixed the damage Krall had done to him. They also fully recharged his power cell as he had a cable connecting to his chest and he watched the screen in his forearm.
When it was finished he disconnected the cable and glanced at the others while he said, "Thanks for the help guys. Now I gotta think about what to do for my next upgrade."
He recoiled in fear as the others leaned over him and furiously yelled, "NO!"
Raven pointed her finger at Cyborg as she strictly said, "No more upgrades for you!"
Robin agreed as he seriously glared at Cyborg and said, "Yeah Cyborg, you've already upgraded enough for one day."
Starfire spoke sincerely as she said, "Granting yourself new abilities and weapons will not help you better yourself."
Beast Boy glared at Cyborg as he angrily said, "Yeah dude, and so far your upgrades haven't been much help."
Robin agreed as he said, "He's right Cyborg. You keep upgrading yourself thinking that will help you beat Krall. And as helpful as they are they're not giving you the means to beat him."
Starfire put her hands together as she heartfeltly said, "And your reliance on them nearly cost you your life."
Cyborg heard his friends as he got off his computer table and held his hands out and asked, "But how am I supposed to beat him? My sonic cannon didn't help much against him and neither did any of my new weapons."
Starfire spoke sincerely as she said, "On my planet we are taught to not solely rely on weapons, for they are only as good as the warrior. You must rely on your skill to defeat your opponent and not weapons, no matter how powerful they are."
Cyborg was still uncertain as he politely replied, "That's nice Star, but I'm not sure that really helps me. None of my new stuff worked on Krall and when I tried to fight him without them, he kicked my butt anyway."
Beast Boy had a friendly smile as he suggested, "Maybe you don't need something new. I can turn into any animal on the planet, I can even turn into alien animals, but sometimes it's better to as old as a dinosaur."
Raven smiled supportively as walked to Cyborg's armor from his time in the past and grabbed the book she gave him.
While Raven did all of these things she kept smiling and said, "Beast Boy might be onto something Cyborg. You fought Krall before and you didn't have any upgrades then. Sarasim defeated him without weapons from the future. Maybe you just need to learn from history."
Raven opened the book to show Cyborg the picture of Sarasim standing over Krall with her people behind her in victory.
Starfire smiled at the picture with respect and admiration as she said, "On my planet she would be considered a great and noble warrior."
Cyborg nodded in agreement as he smiled and said, "Yeah. She was great."
Cyborg looked at Beat Boy and Raven with a warm smile as he appreciated their words of wisdom and got an idea.
Later in the city, Krall was terrorizing the people with more slime monsters than before; he now had over a thousand of them wreaking havoc. People ran and screamed in fear as Krall's minions terrorized them; some people hid inside their cars or buildings but were trapped. Some of the slime monsters were trying to get people, some were cutting and destroying things with their arms, some were marching through the streets, and some were climbing up the sides of buildings.
Krall had his fists on his sides as he looked around with satisfaction and said, "At last, I shall be champion and rule with glory!"
Suddenly a few of his minions were destroyed by explosive discs, some were blown up by starbolts, and many were trapped in a field of dark energy and thrown into the air. Krall looked in the direction this was happening and watched the Titans appear in a gap they had formed in his army.
They all glared at him as Raven spitefully said, "The only thing you'll rule will be your prison cell!"
Krall glared at them with a vexed expression as he said, "Your resistance was amusing at first, but now you have become annoying."
Robin glared at Krall before smiling coyly as he said, "We're not defeated so easily, and we have a legend of our own."
The others moved aside to reveal Cyborg, who was wearing the armor he wore when he helped Sarasim and her people fight Krall's army in the past. He put the helmet on his head and held his shield and sword in his hands as he stared at Krall fearlessly.
Beast Boy smiled happily as he held his hands to refer to Cyborg and said, "Say hello to Cyborg the barbarian!"
Krall chuckled with an amused expression as he said, "History repeats itself."
Cyborg hatefully glared at Krall as he pointed his sword out and fiercely yelled, "This one's for Sarasim! Go!"
He yelled in fury as he charged out while Robin ran beside him, Beast Boy turned into a bull and ran with them, and Raven and Starfire flew above them.
Krall pointed his finger out as he ordered, "Destroy them!"
His slime minions all advanced toward the Titans but they kept going as they charged into battle and started fighting them all.
Cyborg ran at the front of the team as he yelled, "Take em down!"
Cyborg ran through the army while swinging his sword and shopping several slime monsters in half before they melted. One jumped at him but he slammed his shield against it and made it splatter everywhere while Cyborg didn't slow down at all. Robin pulled out a special birdarang that became a sword and he yelled in fury as he swung it and cut more slime monsters to pieces before their remains melted. Beast Boy rammed three of the gruesome creatures and made them splatter as he kept running and trampled some more. Starfire flew with superspeed as she held her fists out and rammed her way through the army as she instantly splattered dozens of slime monsters. Raven flew forward as she created a giant raven of her black magic around her and flew with it as dozens of slime creatures splattering against it. Her giant Raven dissipated as she floated close to the others and shot a beam of her black magic while Starfire threw several starbolts. Cyborg and Robin used their swords to cut a few slime monsters while Beast Boy morphed into a black bear and shredded some with his claws.
Cyborg cut one monster with his sword before smashing another with his shield while he yelled, "Keep it up y'all! Show em what a real warrior can do!"
The Titans separated as they went in different directions and fought more of Krall's minions on their own with much valor. Raven encased the pavement below her in her black energy and ripped it out of the ground to launch dozens of slime monsters into the air. They splattered when they hit the ground and Raven put the pavement back down before shooting bolts of black lighting that destroyed dozens of other slime monsters. Robin sliced four slime monsters in half with his sword before their remains melted, then he threw an explosive disc that blew up over a dozen more of them. He ran through Krall's army and sliced more of the monsters in half as their pieces melted and then he jumped and kicked one in the face. Starfire was floating in the air as she threw starbolts and blew up over a dozen slime monsters, then she looked up at the dozens of monsters on the sides of the buildings. They jumped off and came falling toward her as they dogpiled on top of her and knocked her to the ground, pinning her down. Suddenly a shockwave of starbolt energy was released as Starfire destroyed all of the slime monsters on top of her.
Her eyes and fists glowed green as she stared forward and gritted her teeth while yelling, "On my planet we are trained to fight as children!"
She held her hands out and shot rays of starbolt energy and destroyed dozens of the gruesome monsters before flying off. Beast Boy was a kangaroo when he kicked one slime monster and knocked it on its back before it splattered. Then he jumped high over several others and morphed into a Gigantopithecus and fell on top of them, crushing them under his weight. Several more slime monsters jumped toward him but he swung his arms at them and smashed them. More slime creatures ran toward him on all fours, but Beast Boy changed into a Therizinosaurus and slashed his long claws at them. He cut them all to pieces as their green and black slime spilled everywhere, and he kept shredding every monster that came at him. Cyborg jumped in the air and sliced one slime monster in half, then smashed another with his shield, then sliced another horizontally with his sword.
Cyborg watched Krall step toward him as he arrogantly said, "There is nowhere to flee to this time warrior."
Cyborg glared at Krall as he fearlessly said, "I'm not going anywhere!"
Krall smiled evilly as he held up his right arm and shot a vast amount of green and black slime at Cyborg, but Cyborg blocked it with his shield. He lowered it when Krall stopped, then made green and black slime ooze from his hands and form a long spear. He threw the spear at Cyborg, but he swung his sword and knocked it away before charging straight toward Krall. Krall glared at Cyborg as green and black slime oozed from his left palm and formed a large sword, which he swung at Cyborg. Cyborg blocked it with his sword and they locked blades a few times before they pressed their swords against each other, trying to overpower the other.
Krall glared at Cyborg as he kept trying to knock his sword out of his hand while saying, "I shall be legend!"
Cyborg kept pushing his sword against Krall's while he said, "The only legend around here will be the butt whooping I give to you!"
He then knocked Krall's sword out of his hands as it stuck into the ground before melting, then Cyborg kicked Krall and knocked him down. Krall angrily got back up and made slime ooze from his left palm and form a ball with spikes, which he threw at Cyborg. Cyborg swung his shield and knocked it away before running at Krall, who formed small spikes on the backs of his fingers on his right hand. He tried to punch Cyborg, but he dodged his fist and cut off Cyborg's arm before hitting with his shield and knocking him away. Krall fell down on the street and got back up while his arm reformed and he snarled viciously while Cyborg came running at him. Krall's left hand became an axe, which he swung at Cyborg, only to be blocked with his shield, then Cyborg jumped at Krall and rammed him with his shield. He sent Krall flying and crashing to the ground before he got back up and angrily lifted a city bus over his head. He threw the bus at Cyborg, but Cyborg jumped over it and swung his sword down and cut Krall in half between the eyes. His halves melted into green and black slime before oozing back together and reforming his body, then he turned both of his hands into swords while Cyborg came at him again.
Meanwhile Robin used his sword to impale one slime monster then cut it before he said, "I think I made my point."
He turned and saw several dozen more slime monsters running toward him on all fours, but he pulled out a special disc. Robin threw the disc out and it shot four laser beams that cut all the slime monsters up while it spun through the air. With all their remains melted, Robin ran forward and used his sword to cut up some more slime monsters. Starfire was flying over some buildings as she threw starbolts to destroy slime monsters that were on rooftops. She flew toward one building where several slime monsters jumped at her with their arms out as they attacked. Starfire splattered every slime monster, each with a single punch or kick while she yelled in righteous fury. One they were all destroyed she flew over another building and destroyed the slime monsters climbing up the side with her eyebeams. Beast Boy flew through the air as a Quetzalcoatlus as he attacked some more slime monsters on the sides of buildings.
He pecked one with his beak and splattered it, hit another with his wings and sent it falling down, and then grabbed one in his beak and threw it at another. He flew down toward the ground and morphed into a gorilla as he slammed his fists down on top of another slime monster and splattered it. Four more slime monsters came at Beast Boy but he changed into a Martian Pit-Rex and roared as he slashed his claws and shredded them to bits. He swung his tail and splatted another slime monster, then he grabbed another with his prehensile locks of hair and threw it at another monster, causing both to splatter. Raven sent a giant sheet of her black magic out that cut a couple dozen slime monsters in half like a giant cleaver. A bunch more slime monsters jumped down toward her from the sides of buildings, but she created a dome force-field over herself and they all splattered when they hit it. She dropped it and took flight before encasing a streetlight in her black magic; she telekinetically swung it like a bat and knocked away a dozen more slime monsters.
She saw a bunch of other slime monsters running toward her when she coldly said, "You should've stayed in the past."
She swung the streetlight at them too and knocked them away, meanwhile Cyborg was still fighting Krall by himself. He kept forcing him backwards down the street as they moved toward the waterfront with the bay straight ahead. They were still far from it as Cyborg hit Krall with his shield and made him stumble backwards, only for Krall to throw two globs of green and black slime from his hands. Cyborg dodged both globs as he ran Krall and swung his sword at him, but Krall dodged it and punched Cyborg in the face. He knocked Cyborg back but Cyborg landed on his feet and ran back at Krall and jumped at him, slamming his shield against his face. Krall stumbled backwards again but regained his footing before throwing two globs of slime at the ground in front of him. The globs then formed two slime monsters, which swung their arms at Cyborg, but he dodged them and cut them both up before their remains melted.
Cyborg stood in a fighting stance as he glared at Krall and spitefully said, "I may be part machine, but I'm still a man! You, you're a monster!"
Krall glared at Cyborg as he angrily yelled, "I am a god!"
His right hand turned into a mace as he ran at Cyborg and swung it toward his face, but Cyborg cut Krall's arm off and swung his shield at him. He knocked him flat on his back, but Krall got up as his arm reformed and Cyborg came at him again while yelling in fury. While the two of them continued to fight the rest of the Titans swiftly dealt with the rest of Krall's minions and destroyed them. Robin used his sword to cut three slime monsters in half before their remains melted into green and black puddles of slime. Starfire floated in the air as she threw a wave of her starbolt energy out that destroyed several slime monsters at once. Suddenly a bunch of slime monsters jumped down from a rooftop and fell on Starfire, knocking her down near Robin. Several of the gruesome monsters piled up on top of her but she shot a ray of her starbolt energy straight up and destroyed them while getting on her feet. She spotted one last slime monster jumping down toward her, but she floated in the air and caught it, then she threw it at a couple of others, causing all of them to splatter. Raven joined the two of them as she landed by them and held her hands out, shooting a beam of her dark energy out. Her beam hit five slime monsters that were lined up behind each other and made all of them splatter to bits on impact. She turned and saw a few dozen other slime monsters running toward them on all fours as they filled the street. Raven's eyes glowed white as she held her hands out and fired a big powerful blast of her dark energy that destroyed all of them instantly, splattering green and black goo everywhere. The three of them turned and prepared fight ten more slime monsters that were running toward them on all fours.
Before they could do anything, Beast Boy appeared in front of them as a T-Rex and roared as he charged at the monsters. He stepped on four slime monsters, rammed two of them with his head and knocked them in the air, then grabbed one in his mouth and threw it at three others, causing them to splatter. A dozen and a half more slime monsters then jumped on Beast Boy and tried to overwhelm him as they clung to his body. The green T-Rex started shaking and roaring as he tried to get the gruesome creatures off of him while they held on. He managed to shake a couple off his body, then he stomped on them. Some were holding onto his tail until he lashed it around and sent them flying away before they hit the ground and splattered. A few were on his head until he jerked it up and sent them flying toward the side of a building, which made them splatter when they hit it. Two creatures held onto Beast Boy's underbelly, but one of them got two close to his arms, prompting Beast Boy to grab it and hold it before throwing it down. The other one on his underbelly lost its grip and fell down before Beast Boy stomped on it with his huge foot. Only a few slime monsters were still on Beast Boy's body as he roared and stomped around and tried to get them off. One of them fell to the ground, prompting Beast Boy to grab it in his mouth and pop it with his teeth. Another slime monster fell off and Beast Boy crushed it under his foot as it splattered everywhere, leaving only one creature left. Beast Boy turned his head around and managed to grab the slime monster in his mouth and pull it off his body, despite its struggles. The slime monster flailed its limbs around while Beast Boy held it in his mouth, then he threw it at a parked car and splattered it.
Beast Boy roared in triumph while Robin smiled and said, "Nice work everyone."
Starfire agreed as she proudly said, "Yes! Krall's army has been vanquished!"
They all turned to see Cyborg and Krall still fighting and noticed that they were closer to the bay, with the railing approximately nine yards behind Krall.
Robin turned to Beast Boy and said, "Get ready Beast Boy."
The green T-Rex nodded as they all kept watching Cyborg fight Krall with much skill and valor, like a true warrior. Krall sprouted long sharp spikes all over Cyborg as he ran at him and tried to attack, but Cyborg swung his sword and cut Krall to pieces. Krall's pieces melted but the green and black slime oozed back together and reformed his body as he clinched his fists.
Cyborg stared at Krall as he said, "Give it up Krall! You can't win!"
Seeing that all of his slime monsters had been defeated, he looked at the Titans far behind Cyborg looking at them.
Krall was furious as he stubbornly exclaimed, "I will never yield! I will destroy all of you by myself if I have to!"
He transformed his hands into long swords and started swinging them at Cyborg, but Cyborg blocked them with his shield. He then swung his sword and destroyed Krall's swords as they melted into green and black slime, then his hands returned to their normal shape.
While Cyborg continued to fight Krall the others happily watched as Robin cheered, "Go Cyborg! You can do it!"
Starfire smiled with glee as she happily exclaimed, "Yes! Kick the butt!"
Beast Boy was still a T-Rex as he let out a loud roar to express his excitement while Raven watched with a smile on her face. Cyborg charged at Krall and rammed him with his shield, forcing him further back, closer to the railing of the waterfront. Cyborg ran at Krall and yelled in fury as he swung his sword down toward Krall's head, only for Krall to grab it in both hands and hold it in place.
Cyborg grunted as he struggled while Krall held his sword in place and smiled evilly as he gloated, "You cannot defeat me!"
Cyborg stared up at Krall with a sly smile before turning to the others while he yelled, "I wasn't trying to Krall! I just needed to get you in the splash zone! Beast Boy now!"
Beast Boy immediately turned into a falcon and flew in the air as he passed over Cyborg and Krall as they remained in place. He flew over the water behind Krall and then morphed into a blue (green) whale and fell into the water, making a giant splash.
Krall let go of Cyborg's sword and turned around as he saw all the water and fearfully yelled, "What?! NO!"
The water splashed all over Cyborg and Krall before washing away; the others watched as Raven said, "Nice job Shamu."
They ran over to the scene and joined Cyborg as he stood still with a victorious grin while Krall screamed in agony.
His body was steaming while he started melting, flailing his arms around while he cried, "No! No! NOOOOO!"
He held his right hand up as his body melted into a green and black puddle of slime while Cyborg watched him.
The others joined him as Beast Boy climbed out of the water as a human and Cyborg smiled and said, "Nice job BB."
Beast Boy smiled proudly as he said, "I know how to make a splash."
They looked down at Krall as he tried to resolidify but couldn't because he was still soaking wet and unable to change shape. He grunted as he desperately tried to move but couldn't as his arms rose up before melting back down. He now looked like a small green and black blog with head and face in the middle as he looked up at all the Titans.
He glared up at them in denial as he desperately exclaimed, "This isn't over! I shall be legend! This is not over!"
Cyborg smiled triumphantly as he said, "Oh it's over dude."
Raven had her arms folded as she looked down at him with a tedious expression and said, "Yeah, give it a rest already."
The people of the city came out of hiding as they all cheered and clapped for Cyborg while the Titans smiled at them.
Beast Boy smiled as he held his hands out toward Cyborg and said, "Let's here it for Cyborg! The greatest barbarian in history!"
Everyone kept cheering as Cyborg showed a flattered smile and said, "Aww, thanks y'all."
Sometime later, they handed Krall over to the police, who imprisoned Krall in a large secure tank of water to keep him from resolidifying. Krall was at the bottom of the tank as a melted glob of green and black slime with a pair of eyes that were glaring back at the Titans. The police took him away and left the Titans alone as they smiled with pride and watched the transport drive off.
Cyborg smiled happily as he took off his helmet and said, "You know, it felt good to wear the old armor again."
Starfire smiled with glee as she put her hands together and commended, "Agreed Cyborg! You were a truly honorable warrior!"
Robin smiled as he agreed, "Yeah, you were great."
Cyborg was flattered as he said, "Thanks guys."
Raven walked next to Cyborg as she smiled proudly and said, "You see? You never needed those new upgrades."
Beast Boy came to Cyborg's other side as he smiled and said, "Yeah! You beat Krall with just your old shield and sword."
Cyborg smiled as he looked down at his armor and weapons and said, "Yeah, I guess you're right."
Robin smiled as he honestly said, "Still, I think you should keep those new upgrades. They may come in handy in the future."
Cyborg looked at all of his friends with a big smile of self-confidence as he said, "Don't worry y'all, I'll keep them, but no more upgrades for a long time. I may not be able to do everything, but if I work real hard and do my best I'll get better and nothing will stop me."
They all smiled at him before looking out into the bay and seeing Titans Tower shining brightly in the calm night.

Author's note: I was planning to have Krall return for my Teen Titans seasons. I wanted to have him show more powers because I thought having only super strength and durability would be kind of boring. Plus these new powers he demonstrated made him tougher to beat, not just for Cyborg, but for all the Titans. You should rewatch "Cyborg the Barbarian" and you'll see what gave me the idea to have his weakness be water and him being resistant to fire and some extreme heat. Water doesn't kill Krall, it hurts him and keeps him from turning solid and retaining his shape, also he needs to be completely soaked with water for it to work. I also wanted to give Cyborg some new abilities as a way to have some character development. It makes him more powerful and opens the door to new possibilities. I partially based the Jump Jets off his ability to fly in the Justice League movies (both original and Snyder Cut). I have mixed feelings about the energy whips but I'm sticking with them. We'll see more of these upgrades in future chapters. Please review.
