Kyle's last two classes passed by smoothly.

In period five, Science, Haley, Zeke and Damien only gave him grief once by knocking his books off his desk, and his last class was music which he absolutely loved!

He loved it every time and he never had a bad music class, it was free from all of his bullies and he got to play guitar!

After class he meets up with Casey in the hallway and they both start to walk to the exit.

Suddenly Kyle is pulled back hard by his backpack.

"Woah!" he breathes out, getting a slight fright as he's pulled back.

"Casey! What's up?" Kyle asks and looks as Casey points in a direction.

Kyle looks where he's pointing and sees Scott and a couple of his friends.

"Yeah it's Scott; so what?" Kyle asks, confused.

He's extremely grateful that Scott saved him from his bullies but he's sure that the last thing Scott wants is to talk to two year tens, when he's hanging out with his friends.

"Introduce me, you know Scott Jenkins! That means that you can introduce me!" Casey says and shakes Kyle by his backpack excited that he has a chance to meet Scott Jenkins.

"Casey he's hanging out with his friends, he won't want to talk to two year tens," Kyle says, causing Casey to huff.

"Come on Ky! I want to meet him; he's famous!" Casey begs.

"Fine! Fine, let's go," Kyle sighs and walks shyly up to Scott.

"Hey Scott," Kyle says and smiles at him.

"Hey! What's up little dude?" Scott says smiling.

"Hey boys, this is Kyle, the kid I was telling you about," Scott says and pats Kyle on the back.

Kyle panics thinking that they know about his bullying incident.

"Oh! That's right, the kid you met yesterday who sang in assembly," one of the friends says.

"Yeah! You've got a killer voice kid!" another says, and smiles down at Kyle.

"It was also mighty brave of you. I don't think I'd have the guts to do that," another comments.

"Thanks," Kyle whispers shyly and looks down at his feet.

The friends smile at each other seeing that Kyle's obviously a really shy kid.

"Anyway dude, we are going to get going, see you around kid," the friends say and bro hug Scott and wave goodbye to Kyle.

"Anyways little dude, it's good to see you not being picked on," Scott says.

"Yeah? It's nice to not be picked on," Kyle says and smiles weakly at Scott.

Casey gives him a nudge in the back.

"Um Scott, this is my brother Casey; he wanted to meet you," Kyle introduces and Casey walks up to Scott.

"Hey man; you're totally awesome! I watched all your races at the youth Olympics! You are wicked, I can't believe that you go to my school and that you know my brother and that you saved him after he got his head shoved in a toilet," Casey blurts out with a massive grin on his face.

"Casey," Kyle whines, embarrassed that Casey mentioned that he got his head shoved down a toilet.

"What?" Casey asks not realising that he said something wrong.

"Don't mention the toilet," Kyle whispers as he nervously looks over his shoulder in case anyone is listening.

"Alright, alright sorry. Anyways, what's it like being the coolest guy in school?" Casey rambles, as once again he turns all his attention on Scott.

Kyle drops his head in his hands as he knows that Scott just wants to be treated like everyone else.

"I'm flattered kid, but I'm sure that's not true," Scott says and chuckles.

"No, but it is! I mean you're awesome! I've always wanted to talk to you but I was always too nervous; I mean you're a celebrity!" Casey raves.

"Casey, we better go," Kyle implies and tries to pull on his brother's sleeve but Casey shrugs him off.

"In a minute Ky. They should totally give you several free periods a day to practice your swimming as you don't need an education! You're such an awesome swimmer you can just do that for the rest of your life," Casey blurts, causing Kyle to roll his eyes.

"Casey, Scott just wants to be treated like a normal student," Kyle says and this time it's Casey who rolls his eyes.

"But he isn't Ky; he's a celebrity!" Casey grins and turns his attention back to Scott.

"Can I have your signature?" Casey asks and goes into his bag and grabs out his English note book and rips out one of the pages and holds it out to Scott along with a pen and grins wildly.

Scott smiles politely at Casey.

"I mean sure, kid, no worries."

He sighs and quickly signs the piece of paper for Casey.

"No way; I'll have to get this framed!" Casey beams smiling as he carefully puts it back in his bag.

"Come on Casey," Kyle encourages, and tries to pull on his brother's arm again.

"We've got to go, I want to start walking so I can do homework when we get home!" he says.

"Fine! See you another time Scott," Casey huffs and the two boys start to walk but are stopped by Scott.

"You boys need a lift? My little brother and sister are hanging out with friends so there are free seats in my car. Toby's at the car now, so I can give you a lift if you want," Scott offers, causing Kyle to shake his head.

"No thank you, it's not necessary," Kyle replies, only to be glared at by Casey.

"Are you crazy?" he exclaims, glaring at his brother.

"We'd love a lift, thank you!" Casey shouts, excitedly, causing Kyle to sigh.

Poor Scott is going to be bombarded even more with questions and compliments.

The three boys walk off to Scott's car with Casey continuing to talk to Scott the whole way to his car.

Kyle sighs behind him, didn't Casey understand that Scott just wanted to be seen as a normal student?

Casey's eyes light up as soon as the three reach Scott's flashy red Holden Commodore.

"Wow you even have the newest sports car model!" he exclaims, excited, "Do you like, own it for real or did your parents buy it for you?"

"Casey, don't ask such invasive questions; it's rude," Kyle whispers and nudges Casey, trying to halt his brother's rude remark.

Scott chuckles, "It's mine, but I did pay it off."

"Wow! Is that because you've earned lots of money with all your races?" Casey asks, as Scott and Toby hop into the front while Kyle and Casey sit in the back; Kyle behind Toby and Casey behind Scott.

"It's helped," Scott replies, politely.

Casey sits in the back in awe.

"I wonder if I could be rich and famous like you one day," Casey says hopefully.

Scott takes a quick glance in the rearview mirror and catches Kyle's eye.

"It doesn't just come handed to you, kid. It took a lot of work to get where I am today; early rises, late nights," Scott explains, however Casey is too preoccupied on his dream of being like Scott to really listen.

"So where do I have to drop you two off?" Scott asks.

"We live at 31 Saxon Avenue," Kyle informs.

"Okay, buckle up and let's go."

Casey continues to fire questions to Scott about his gold medals and what it was like to be the most popular guy in school and Scott continues to take it all in his stride.

Kyle briefly rubs his hand over his face in disbelief that Casey just would not shut up pestering Scott.

Toby turns around in his seat to face Kyle.

"Hey; did you hear that new song from Eclectic Soldiers? It's got such an awesome back beat to it," Toby says.

"No, I haven't heard that, but I prefer to listen to Blackfeather, My Chemical Romance, and Green Day," Kyle says.

"Oh I love all them too. I've tried to jam to some of their songs on my guitar, keyboard, and drum set."

Kyle's eyes widened.

As much as he loved playing guitar the opportunity to play other instruments was still an interest to him and he couldn't believe how lucky Toby was.

"That's amazing you have all those instruments at home. I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano but because it's too big an instrument it wasn't practical to learn in the house or there never was one at school," Kyle explains.

"I get that, that's why I've tried fighting for more instrument varieties as well as extra-curricular activities in the school to give more kids more opportunity," Scott adds.

"Perks of a twin brother being school Captain and part of the school committee," Toby smiles.

Casey impatiently rolls his eyes.

"Boring; can we stop talking about weird music and school stuff and get back to how Scott manages to maintain his muscular physique," Casey complains.

Toby and Scott both smirk, while Kyle's cheeks flush with embarrassment.

"Just stop Casey," Kyle mumbles.

"I'm not doing anything. Besides, when do we get the chance to get a lift with Scott Jenkins! Don't waste it talking about boring stuff!" Casey grumbles.

Scott glances at Casey through the rearview mirror; never once being fazed by Casey's exuberant behaviour towards him or the constant use of his full name like it was going out of style.

Toby snickers as he glances at Scott.

They finally pull up outside of the Braxton house and Kyle sighs in relief that it meant Scott would get a break from Casey's questions.

"Thanks for the lift," Kyle says and is quick to unclick his seatbelt.

"Hey: if you want to come over sometime and I can teach you how to play my other instruments," Toby offers.

"I'd really like that, but I'd have to ask first," Kyle replies.

"No probs, just give me a call," Toby answers.

"Casey, come on," Kyle prompts, seeing as Casey hadn't even made any attempt to move.

"But I've still got so many questions," Casey complains.

"And we need to go inside and let Toby and Scott go home," Kyle replies.

"Urgh; fine," Casey sulks and gets out of the car.

"Nice meeting you Casey and I'll see you around school little dude!" Scott calls out the window.

"I can't wait to boast to our friends how we got a lift with Scott Jenkins!" Casey beams.

Kyle rolls his eyes and bobs down at the driver's window.

"I'm sorry about my little brother, sometimes he just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut," Kyle apologises.

Scott smiles and shrugs, "Whatever makes him happy."

"Well thanks; and I'll ask about coming over to play music," Kyle adds.

Scott drives off with Toby joking how he had an admirer and Kyle joins Casey inside.

Casey is already grabbing a snack of cheese and biscuits for himself when he spots Kyle behind him at the table.

"Did you want me to get you some cheese and biscuits too?" he offers.

Kyle shakes his head.

"No thanks. I don't feel like any. That salad really filled me up at lunch, but a juice might be nice thanks," Kyle says.

"Oh, okay..more for me," Casey replies with a cheeky smile and sits down next to Kyle with his plate and hands Kyle his juice.

They each unpack their bags and Kyle pulls out his remaining homework, while Casey's main concern is pulling out his autograph of Scott.

"I can't wait to frame this," he says in excitement.

"I don't see why you had to ask him for that, you made him feel like he was anything but normal," Kyle replies.

Casey doesn't get a chance to reply when Brax walks into the house.

"Hey boys; how was school?"

"It was good, we learned how to make rockets in Science today," Kyle says.

"Sounds fascinating, and how about you, Casey?"

"Lame as usual, until we got a lift home from Scott Jenkins and look: he gave me his autograph!" Casey says and holds up the piece of paper proudly.

Brax tries not to smirk at Casey's excitement.

"Well that's wonderful Casey, but all excitement aside, have you boys done your homework?"

"Why'd you spoil my good mood by mentioning that?" Casey moans.

"I'm almost done but have a little bit left to do," Kyle states and gestures towards his books.

"I guess I have some Math, History, and PE theory to do," Casey grumbles.

"Well get it finished then," he tells them.

Casey slumps in the dining chair but can't take his eyes off the autographed paper.

"Don't spill anything on it," Casey warns.

Kyle shakes his head and turns his attention to Brax.

"Brax, would it be okay if I hung out at Toby and Scott's tomorrow after school? It's just Toby has these awesome instruments that he said he'd teach me and we want to talk music," Kyle asks.

"I don't see why not, just notify me if you are going to be home for dinner," Brax replies.

Casey lifts his head up.

"What? Can I come too? I can hang out with Scott and pick his brain about his athletic skills and celebrity status," Casey beams.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Casey. I don't want you making a nuisance of yourself," Brax implies.

"But I don't," Casey whines.

"I know how you get Casey," Brax comments.

"After today I'm not sure he'll give us a lift again," Kyle points out.

"Why? What did I do?"

"You practically talked his ear off asking questions and personal ones at that. You barely came up for air," Kyle explains.

Casey scowls and Kyle stands up from the table having completed his homework.

"I'm going to my room to read."

Casey looks up at Brax.

"I was just curious," he mumbles.

"Curious or not, it's time to get this Scott fellow off your mind and your mind focused on your work," Brax says as he taps his finger on Casey's workbook.

Casey goes back to his work while Brax leaves to go for a shower.

As he passes Kyle in the bedroom he peeks his head in.

"I hope your friend was okay with Casey."

"Yeah; took it in his stride. Both he and Toby are really cool."

"Well I'm glad you've found some more friends, little man."

"Me too," Kyle adds.

Brax pops out, leaving Kyle to return to his reading.

Come dinner time, Brax cooks up some creamy mushroom pasta with vegetables and calls Kyle and Casey to the table.

"This smells good, Brax!" Casey exclaims and sits down, swiping his finger across his plate to lick some sauce.

"Can you at least wait until I've served up everyone's?" Brax chuckles and places down a plate for Kyle then for himself.

Kyle, still feeling a little down, plays with his pasta before taking a small bite.

Brax furrows his brow at Kyle's behaviour.

"Is there something wrong with the food, Kyle?"

"Huh? No..I just don't feel very hungry tonight," Kyle says.

"Not hungry? You must be starving, Ky! You barely ate at school and you didn't want any snack after school!" Casey shouts with a mouth full of food.

Brax scowls, "Don't talk with your mouth full, Casey," he then turns to Kyle.

"Is this true? Are you feeling sick?"

Kyle glares at Casey for dobbing him in, but Casey doesn't realise he's done anything wrong and continues eating.

"No. I'm not sick," Kyle mumbles.

"Then why didn't you eat much today?" Brax demands, becoming concerned over his skinner framed brother.

Kyle doesn't answer and only shrugs.

"Kyle, how much did you have to eat today?" Brax demands.

Casey glances up at Brax then focuses his attention back onto his food.

"I…I had a banana for recess and a water and chicken salad for lunch," Kyle explains, quietly, knowing Brax would not likely agree on his choices.

Brax frowns and lets out a sigh.

"In no way is that enough Kyle and I've told you this before," Brax lightly scolds and Kyle hangs his head.

Suddenly Brax gets up from the table and snatches Kyle's plate away.

"Brax, what are you doing?" Kyle questions.

"I'm giving you second helpings," Brax replies frankly and fills up Kyle's plate with another heaped helping of the pasta and vegetables, increasing Kyle's plate portion to one and three-quarter times as Kyle has barely eaten half of his meal already.

"I don't want seconds," Kyle complains.

"Can I have seconds?" Casey pipes up, having polished off his dinner by now.

"Yes, go on," Brax dismisses and glares sternly at Kyle.

"You will eat your entire plate considering you barely ate at all today and if that means you and I will sit here at this table all night until it is all gone than so be it, Kyle, because I will not have you depriving yourself of food and as I said before if you don't eat properly enough for a growing teenager then I will take you back to Sid and he will give you the medication that was last talked about to help you eat and might even put you on a high calorie diet to keep your nutrients up," Brax lectures sternly.

Kyle's eyes glisten with tears, he didn't want to be treated with medication or forced on some diet, it wasn't fair when he just didn't have an appetite after being bullied over how he looked with his hair.

It was different to his normal bullying over his personality or smarts because with his normal bullying Kyle knew the teasing meant nothing to who he was as a person, but being humiliated with his pink hair was another level.

"I'm not depriving myself. I am still eating, I just don't feel like eating much; how is that a crime?" Kyle argues quietly, but remains with his head down.

"Do not get smart with me, Kyle. Messing with your food and nutrients is no joke," Brax scolds and points his finger in Kyle's direction.

"Is going on medication and a special diet what you want, Kyle?" Brax demands as he watches Kyle continue to play with his food.

"No, you know it's not. I don't want medication," Kyle chokes.

"Well, eat!" Brax orders.

Kyle sniffs and swallows a fork full of the pasta dish.

"Can I go play video games?" Casey asks after he finishes his second plate.

He is feeling awkward between his brothers hearing Kyle getting a telling off, especially when it is because he opened his mouth.

"Yes, but only until nine as it's still a school night," Brax reminds.

Casey glances over at Kyle and walks off sadly.

Kyle eventually finishes eating, but not without letting some tears drop and occasionally sniffing.

"Good, little man," Brax praises and takes Kyle's finished plate to the sink.

"Do you mind if I go to my room?" Kye mumbles.

Brax glances at Kyle and sighs and gives a nod.

He watches Kyle get up from the table and wipe his hands over his eyes.

Brax washes the dishes and then walks towards the boys bedroom, glancing at Casey playing video games in the lounge room still.

"You good, Case?" Brax asks.

"Yeah," Casey replies and watches as Brax walks down the hall.

Brax knocks on the bedroom door and peeks in.

Kyle looks up from his book sadly.

Brax enters and closes the door behind him, walking straight up to Kyle's bed and taking a seat.

"Is something wrong?" Kyle asks quietly.

"Why don't you tell me? Is something bothering you Kyle?" Brax asks and Kyle shakes his head.

"You know I didn't force you to eat or give you that ultimatum just to upset you or be hard on you. I do it because I care about you and I don't want you getting sick because you don't eat properly," Brax says softly and rests a hand on Kyle's knee.

"I understand," Kyle mumbles.

"So are you going to explain to me what is bothering you to make you feel like you would prefer not to eat?" Brax asks softly.

"I guess it's just I feel humiliated with my hair and getting bullied over something that isn't even about me hurts more and I don't know why," Kyle whispers.

Brax squeezes his knee.

"Might I suggest it has something to do with the fact it makes you not feel like yourself and if you don't feel like yourself then it makes you doubt who you are and what you can believe in?" Brax says.

Kyle shrugs, "I guess. I'm sorry for worrying you."

Brax smiles.

"Just don't go and do it again. You know I am serious about getting you help from Sid if the situation calls for it," Brax says, causing Kyle to nod.

Brax gets up and grips his hand around Kyle's neck to pull him in to kiss his forehead.

"I'm here for you if you need to talk about anything."

"I know Brax, thanks."

Brax smiles and leaves the bedroom, heading back into the lounge room and sits on the couch where he watches Casey playing his video game.

Brax smiles at his baby brother getting engrossed in his video game.

Come bedtime, Kyle is already in his bed still reading his book when Casey enters to hop into his bed.

"I'm sorry about blurting about you not eating much at school. I didn't mean to get you in trouble with Brax," Casey apologises.

"It's okay, I'm not mad at you. Brax would have noticed eventually and he did come and talk to me about it after. Goodnight Casey," Kyle mumbles.

"Night, Ky," Casey smiles and switches off the light.
