Feelings and Firebolts
"Come on, we don't have all day," Ginny tried to spur on Harry who was sauntering behind her, both of his hands tucked in his jeans pockets.
They were making their way towards Diagon Alley; Ginny had heard that the prototype of the brand new Firebolt 2 was displayed at Quality Quidditch Supplies. They had been shopping for some new shoes in central London earlier, they decided on simply walking there. That way they could enjoy some of the early summer sun that had finally decided to show up.
Now her mind was set all on Harry.
She eyed him over her shoulder for another moment before she finally decided to stop in her tracks, and spun around to face her husband.
"Now will you continue to sulk like a moody teenager or finally tell me what is bothering you?" She raised her left eyebrow, her voice soft yet serious.
Harry seemed to have been caught off guard for a second, and his right hand quickly left his pocket to brush through his hair, making it— like always— even messier in the process.
Ginny simply stood there, her arms crossed in front of her chest as Harry let out a deep sigh and met her concerned but stern gaze.
"You're right, I should tell you," he started, his left foot nervously digging in the street gravel.
"I guess it's just work…" He pushed back his glasses and rubbed his eyes.
"It's just been especially stressful recently, and I struggle to find motivation outside of sitting on that blasted desk, being confined to handing papers to Robards like some Owl…"
Harry adjusted his glasses again as he met Ginny's eyes. "I just feel useless, like I am not doing anything of value."
He took a deep breath as Ginny quickly took a step towards him and her arms came tightly around him.
She pulled his head down into the crook of her neck as her left hand slid up his back to grab the back of his head slowly caressing the short hair at his neck.
"Harry…" Her right hand started to gently massage his back as she pulled him in even closer.
"You're so brave, you're so smart, you are powerful, and you're the best person I know."
She pulled back a bit and framed his face in her hands as she looked into his bright green eyes, he seemed tired but now there was a tiny smile forming on his face, and Ginny continued.
"You can always tell me how you feel. You know, I love you. Don't ever forget that."
Harry sighed and closed his eyes as he rested his forehead against hers.
"I know…" he started. "I guess I just didn't want to bother you with it, since you're so busy yourself, especially now the playoffs have started."
Ginny only leaned in closer and tenderly kissed his lips, before she spoke up again.
"Harry, you can always bother me with it, I will always listen, no matter how busy you or I are, you're the most important person in my life."
She saw Harry's eyes flutter open filled with so much emotion and Ginny felt her heart clench in her chest.
He slowly nodded and then kissed her sweetly. "I know, I am sorry."
He pulled back a bit as they looked into each other eyes before he continued.
"And it's the same for you…"
His hand came to cup her cheek and she simply leaned into it and kissed his palm.
"You're my everything Gin, no matter what or when, I will always be here for you. I couldn't exist without you, I love you."
Ginny pulled him towards her again, and their lips met for a third time, this time desperately, as they met for a deep kiss, cupping each other's faces as the world around them seemed to disappear for a short eternity.
When they pulled apart they both sported goofy grins on their faces, looking at each other for a second before Ginny swiftly took Harry's hand and pulled him towards the direction of Diagon Alley again.
"Now come on, we have a broomstick to check out!" She had a spring in her step and Harry couldn't but smile at the sight, quickly following her eager footsteps.
"But Gin, it's a closed-door event I've heard, they won't let us in without the proper invitation."
She simply turned her head, looking back at him with a mischievous grin that made him swallow as she spoke.
"Don't let it worry you! It's me. I'm extremely famous!"
Harry could only look at her in complete awe as they continued their journey, all bad thoughts vanished from his mind.
